Use DECODE in sqlloader with DIRECT=TRUE?

hi.. i have this .ctl
load data
infile 'invoice.dat'
APPEND
into table INVOICE_TMP1
when (43:50)='RIN4331'
bill_date position(1:8) DATE 'YYYYMMDD'
,acct_no position(9:22)
,bill_period position(51:52)
,due_date position(139:146) DATE 'YYYYMMDD' "decode(:due_date,00000000,null,:due_date)"
,last_bill_amt position(84:94) DECIMAL EXTERNAL
,sys_appl_id CONSTANT "CTLA"
i have to use DIRECT=TRUE because my .dat file contains large file (about 17 million records)
my problem now is because i use direct=true, so i cannot use decode because it is in SQL string. My data for due_date maybe contains 00000000 for datatype date. that is why i have to use decode.
How to solve my problem?
please help ASAP.
TQ.

    FORM 2100_WS_DOWNLOAD TABLES INP_DATA.

    Hi,
    Thnaks for your reply, This is my requirement.
    Here my problem is i am trying to upload the data from flatfile which contain materil number, denominator, Actual UOM, Nominator field values.
    Which is the data i need to upload into MM02 and MM01, if material number is new then it has to create the material, if material is already existing it has to update the UOM values.
    here i am getting data into my internal table INP_DATA, from that i am trying to upload the data to database by using job name MRP_MATERIAL_MASTER_DATA_UPLOAD with direct input program RMDATIND.
    when i execute my program i am getting success message all the records writtin from flatfile to application server. and job started message.
    then if i go into sm37 screen there i execute the job it is also giving active message. if i refresh it it is showing job completed message.
    then i look at job log status. there i found that for existing material it is expecting material type, for new material it is giving some gravity error.
    So could u help me in this it will be gr8.
    Thanks & Regards,
    RamNV

  • EAN/UPC check digit creation with Direct Input

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on Material data transfer using Direct Input. Requirement is to update the EAN/UPC for each Alt. UOM in Additional data view of Material master.
    Further we need to set Indicator for automatic Determining the check digit for EAN .
    I got Direct IP structure BMMH8 and BMMH6 for transfeering this data but didnt got Indicator field which I can set to automatic determining the check digit for EAN
    Please let me know how to pass indicator for finding the check digit automatically while creating materials using Direct Input method.
    Thanks in Advance...

  • Users with direct access to tables

    I need to find out which users have direct access to tables, not through the roles.
    Is dba_tab_privs the right table to query or table_privileges is the correct one.
    Please let me know the difference between these two.
    I have gone through the documentation but I am still not clear about the difference between them.
    Let me know whatever your thoughts are on this.
    Thanks,
    Rushi

    Ah, an opportunity to illustrate the value of COMMENTs:
    SQL> select * from dict where table_name = 'TABLE_PRIVILEGES';
    TABLE_NAME
    COMMENTS
    TABLE_PRIVILEGES
    Grants on objects for which the user is the grantor, grantee, owner,
    or an enabled role or PUBLIC is the grantee
    SQL> select * from dict where table_name = 'DBA_TAB_PRIVS';
    TABLE_NAME
    COMMENTS
    DBA_TAB_PRIVS
    All grants on objects in the database
    SQL>So, TABLE_PRIVILEGES is a view relevant to the user who is currently connected and SELECTing from it.
    DBA_TAB_PRIVS is what you want to use to find users with direct access granted to tables.

    Yes, iPads don't do particularly well in sunlight and also tend to overheat and shutdown if in direct sunlight for too long.

  • Preventing Discoverer using Full Table Scans with Decode in a View

    Hi Forum,
    Hope you are can help, it involves a performance issues when creating a Report / Query in Discoverer.
    I have a Discoverer Report that currently takes less than 5 seconds to run. After I add a condition to bring back Batch Status that = ‘Posted’ we cancelled the query after reaching 20 minutes as this is way too long. If I remove the condition the query time goes back to less than 5 seconds. Changing the condition to Batch Status that = ‘Unposted’ returns the query in seconds.
    I’ve been doing some digging and have found the database view that is linked to the Journal Batches folder in Discoverer. See at end of post.
    I think the problem is with the column using DECODE. When querying the column in TOAD the value of ‘P’ is returned. But in discoverer the condition is done on the value ‘Posted’. I’m not too sure how DECODE works, but think this could be the causing some sort of issue with Full Table Scans.
    Any idea how do we get around this?

  • MDT - Using TaskSequenceID with Desktop-True or Laptop-True

    I have now modified this to the following.
    I am having an issue with MDT TaskSequenceID with Desktop-True or Laptop-True.
    Scope: Three TaskSequenceID e.g. [WIN7x86], [WIN7x64], [WINXPx86] to contain all settings but use [Desktop-True] to apply a workstation to a Desktop OU or [Laptop-True] to a Laptop OU (exempt [WINXPx86] which contains the OU information within its own TS).
    If the OU is specified directly under the TS [WIN7] everything works fine so the user account/password and path are correct. I can see MDT is pulling the correct TS as well.
    When I add into the mix the following the system will not attach to the domain..
    [WIN7x86]
    SkipDomainMembership=YES
    NetworkLocation=Work
    JoinDomain=removed
    DomainAdmin=svc_mdtjoin
    DomainAdminPassword=removed
    [ByDesktop]
    Subsection=Desktop-%IsDesktop%
    [ByLaptop]
    Subsection=Laptop-%IsLaptop%
    [Desktop-True]
    MachineObjectOU=ou=Desktops,ou=Windows7,DC=removed,DC=uk
    [Laptop-True]
    MachineObjectOU=ou=Laptops,ou=Windows7,DC=removed,DC=uk
    The BDD.log shows it see the workstation (Dell OptiPlex 7010 as a Desktop).
    The ZTIDomainJoin.log is showing it is ‘attempting’ to add to the correct OU as well.
    Initial attempt: JoinDomain(,PWD,\,ou=Desktops,ou=Windows7,DC=removed,DC=uk,3), rc = 2
    The system is not anywhere in Active Directory.
    I can log onto AD Users and Computers as svc_mdtjoin and add the computer manually.
    My settings at the start are:
    [Settings]
    Priority=TaskSequenceID,ByLaptop,ByDesktop,DefaultGateway,Model,Default
    Properties=MyCustomProperty
    Any ideas??
    Thanks.”

    Hi All,
    Massivesystem the idea made me think and digged through the logs again. - Thanks!
    OK, I solved the [Desktop-True] problem I was having.
    It was down to me (user error).
    Previous: ou=Desktops,ou=Windows7,DC=removed,DC=uk,3
    Actual: ou=Desktops,ou=Windows 7,DC=removed,DC=uk,3 - see space between Windows 7.
    There is one outstanding issue.
    Appears my initial thought below was incorrect:
    "This week I was requested to build a fresh XP image [WINXPx86] as an interim measure which should be deployed to OU1 irrelevant if a Desktop or Laptop.
    For this task sequence I have added the machine to add to 'OU 1' and works."
    Any machine within TS [WINXPx86] should go in a container specified - NOT Desktop or Laptop.
    When [WINXPx86] runs it uses the ByDesktop or ByLaptop query and places in that OU. Can I work around this?
    \\Automate the joining of workstation to the domain
    SkipDomainMembership=YES
    NetworkLocation=Work
    JoinDomain=<removed>
    DomainAdmin=svc_mdtjoin
    DomainAdminPassword=<removed>
    MachineObjectOU=ou=XP Computers,DC=<removed>,DC=uk - aka OU1 above.

    Do you have commo.dtd in the directory where you ran your Maker from?
    And also make sure that you have
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <!DOCTYPE MBeanType SYSTEM "commo.dtd">
    in your MDF file.
    Hope it helps

  • How to use Decode with a variable

    Maybe you've seen this done.
    I want to take statement strMenu4 and subtract the previous value
    that is stored in an array as shown in strMenu5.
    My problem is this change as shown in strMenu5 produces
    an error code:
    ORA-00904 invalid column name
    So either I'm coding something wrong or it can't be done within the
    SUM(decode) construct. If I replace the variable with a literal
    like 1000 the code works:
    SUM(decode(name,'DBWR lru scans', c1.value) - 1000) DBWR_lru_scans
    but with an array variable or even a constant the code fails:
    SUM(decode(name,'DBWR lru scans', c1.value) - Array(3)) DBWR_lru_scans, "
    Any ideas how I can use Decode with a variable and not have it interrupt it
    as a invalid column name?
    Thanks,

    It's more appropriate.

  • Error while using expressions with direct path sql loader

    We are using an expression (substr) in the control file while loading the data into a table T using sql loader using a user U.
    The user U does not have permissions to the table T directly but through a role R.
    While running the sql loader using direct=true option (because the data load is very huge), an error 'table or view does not exist' is thrown.
    This error does not occur when conventional path is used; or when the user is given permissions on the table directly. We dont want to use both these options. Is there any other solution to this problem?
    Thanks!

  • Sand Box has stopped working error when using System Exec.vi with wait until completion is true

    I get the following error message in Windows 7 "Sand Box has stopped working" when using System Exec.vi with wait until completion set to true, if I set it to false there is no error message.

    Hello JJVerdi
    mmm well System Exec.vi simulates a DOS command window, can you run the sandbox from the cmd window using the same commands without any errors?
    you may take a look to this KB, it may be related to your issue:

    Then it either is a pirate clone or you are misinformed.
    Apple Computer has never used AMD processors in its products.
    However, the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is a Radeon unit, which is an AMD subsidiary. Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox will all work fine with the Intel Core i7 or i5 CPU that powers the Mac, and use the AMD Radeon GPU that drives the displays.
