Use JAXP 1.3 with javac from JDK 1.4.2?

I can use JAXP 1.3 with java from 1.4.2 SDK, by setting java.endorsed.dirs, e.g. java -DJava.endorsed.dirs=.... Is there a way to do the same with javac?
Or, can I compile java with JDK 1.4 that makes use of classes from JAXP 1.3?
Note that I can't rely on putting jars in the endorsed directory, it must be configurable.

I was just apprehensive about the fact that my 3G turned into a very slow and almost useless device when I upgraded to 4.0 and later versions... and feared that the 3GS would be the same.

Starting with JDeveloper 9.0.3 Preview Release, you can use ANT to build your project
and with ANT you can use Javac.

Can I use Java Creator 2 with old JRE/JDK 1.4.2_07??

I am planning to install new Java Creator 2 but I am having JRE and JDK 1.4.2_07 and I am using mysql 3.23.55 and I want to integrate it.
Currently my OS is Windows XP SP2 platform with processor Intel Centrino 1.4 and RAM 256 MB... I know the ram is not sufficient and i am planning to upgrade it.. but the problem is can i still remain to use the old JRE and JDK 1.4.2_07 and i am also using mysql 3.23.55... all the driver and engine are out to date but can i still use it and integrate it with java creator 2?
The questions are:
1) Can I use Java creator 2 with those old engine?
2) What java compiler or development tools i can use to develop java standalone application?

This is causing problems, because anytime I try to use this file, I get signing errors. I have several Web Services built by BAE and Plumtree that are running on 1.4.2; and therefore I am stuck with 1.4.2. I did try to remove the SUN_MICR.* files, thinkning it would resolve the signing issues, but then that caused other problems. I can provide you with code that demonstrates the problem.
Is there a place where I can get a mail 1.4 jar file built with 1.4.2? that would most likely solve my problems.

What format do I use for to edit with footage from Isight camera (Mpeg-4)

I've been having trouble with the rendering of clips in the timeline. I'm using 3 video tracks and all of them were recorded on my Isight camera, making all of them mpeg 4 files so when I first imported them, every time I changed one little thing on the timeline, it all had to be rendered again but it took forever. So I went to easy setup and changed the format a few times to see if any would work since I haven't had this problem before but this is the first time I'm using clips from my isight camera. Does anyone know what format to use or do I need to convert the files?

You need to convert the media into a format that's natively editable in FCE. You can use MPEG Streamclip to do that.

Can't compile with Javac in jdk 1.2.1

I used javac to compile "helloworld.java" in jdk 1.2.1 but It didn't "helloworld.class" file and it also didn't alert.

If I understand you correctly, you say that you tried to compile "helloworld.java" using "javac", and it didn't create a "helloworld.class" file and you got no error messages, right?
Are you using an IDE? Or did you manually enter the "javac" command via a command window? What was the exact command you entered?

Use of -g:none with javac

i'm just wondering on the use of the -g:none switch when compiling java source files.
i know that it strips debug info from the compiled classes including local variable info, line numbers and so forth.
i have however noticed that in stack traces line numbers are actually still there and any other debug info i haven't noticed as missing.
it creates a much smaller jar file for my application and was wondering what the implications beyond (and including) the above are of using -g:none when compiling.
is it just the debug info? if so, what really constitutes debug info as i noticed it still there (or at least what i read was some debug info? is there any impact on the application at all when using -g:none - functionality, speed etc?
any suggestions would be most appreciated.

It makes sense that your jar files are smaller...I would expect zero change in functionality from -g:none. Speed? I don't know. I doubt it's anything appreciable.

How do i use a Aux channel with reverb from two different patches

I have a Concert with an Aux channel strip for Reverb and i want two seperate patches to both use Send 1 with different amounts/level of reverb but when i move the fader on the patch and then go to the other patch the fader has moved back to the down position

1: select an instrument channel, go the parameter of the channel then change the midi channel to "ALL"
2: insert the Multitimbral sampler of your choice ( RMX, hypersonic or what ever) and load the sounds you want onto them
3: open environment, in the environment parameter it shows AUDIO click hold it and select ALL OBJECT, then go to view and untick "BY TEXT"
4: connect the GM DEVICE to the channel that has the Multitimbral Sampler on it'll ask Do you want to remove the channels port setting? click remove
thats it
Now go to the arrange window and you can use all the 16 midi channels to control one Multitimbral Sampler
that means midi channel 1 will control what ever sound is loaded in the first slot on the Multitimbral Sampler

Problems with client.jar - generated from webservices toolkit from JDK 1.1.7

We have deployed a web application using the webservices in WL 6.1 using JDK 1.3.1.
The clients were able to successfully access the servlet it generated and download
the client.jar. Unfortunately this client.jar seems to be dependent on JDK 1.2
and beyond. It seems to use java.util.Map class in the JNDI-SOAP SPI.
Is there any workaround or fix to this problem, so this jar can be used from a
JDK 1.1.7 env?.
Our objective is to use WL 6.1 EJB's from WL 4.5.1 using Webservices. Are there
any known problems with this approach (Ofcourse other than this).

I havent seen anything confirming this but I suspect not. that would require you keep logging in and out of the two accounts since you can only sign in to one at once.
