Use of Categories in Studio

Question

Hi,
Our forms lists are quite large and we are looking at using the Studio Categories to better classify and display the forms in each GRP file. We are running on 11.3, so there is no search feature for the form list.
In a test environment, I've set up some categories in the BDF file and used these categories to classify one form list. The only problem I see is that the categories are defined in the BDF file and ALL categories apply to ALL form lists. For example, I have line of business 1 where 20 categories are needed, and line of business 2 where only 3 of these categories are required. But, in Studio, when working with LOB 2, all 17 unused categories show at the bottom of the list.
Is there a way to create LOB-specific categories in the BDF file?

P.S. I got the answer from Support and no, the categories cannot be LOB-specific.

You don't. This has to be done on the computer, by creating multiple groups in your Address Book program.

Once you have multiple contacts groups, there's a Groups arrow at the top left of the Contacts app that backs you out to the Groups page. For example, on mine I can choose to view All Contacts, All on My iPhone (which is all of the contacts from my computer's address book), select a single group from within All on My iPhone (e.g., Family, Friends, Restaurants, etc.), or my MS Exchange contacts (corporate global address list).
