Use of Commodity Code/Import Code Number

Anybody using Commodity Code/Import Code Number in MM02 under the Foreign trade tab?
Can you tell me what you are doing with this field?

Within Europe (the European Community) this field represents the material grouping that is provided by the authorities to report the intra-communitary goods flows (INTRASTAT).

how can one material in one plant have 2 commodity codes? This is not logical.

Hi everybody;
I'm trying to use the field commodity code/import code that appears in the article master data, as an import code so that number can determine the custom duties.
If I go to the f1 button in the field it says "Depending on the system settings, this field contains either the commodity code or the customs tariff number (import code number). The customs tariff number classifies goods according to the harmonized system for the description and coding of merchandise and serves to determine customs duties. You must declare this number to the customs authorities for every import transaction."
Which are those settings? I do have the number defined for the country, but how do I or the system differentiate if is using it as a commodity code or an import code?

Where exactly do you have the problem in this screen?

Enter commodity code/ Group code for the hierachy

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create New trading goods material by copying another similar material but here the issue is when I am trying to save the material mesage says Enter commidity code/ Group code for the hierarchy. This message is coming when every thing is finish and trying to save at the end of the transaction.
I believe we need to maintain commodity codes in customizing for sales and distribution especially foreign trade.
Any one can give me idea what is the configuration for this step by step.

Commodity code can be configured in SPRO->Sales and Distribution->Foreign Trade/Customs->Basis data for Foreign Trade->Define Commodity Codes / Import Code Numbers By Country.
You maintain the same at country level.

Hello Friends,
Is there any way we can enter the Import code number with an enduser transaction. I know there is a provision to enter from SPRO.
I am also aware of the method thru VI94, but is there any way we can enter just one Import code with easy access transaction..

You mean to say, there is no way an end user can enter the commodity code for foreign trade ? (HSN).
This means it has to be done in IMG ? (with authorization for T Code OMG1)

when trading internationally, then you need to find the correct commodity code for your goods , so you can fill out the customs paperwork accuratly. the code is minimum 8digit, but can be more. depending on the code you can lookup duty rates and import export restrictions.
commodity code and import code no and HTS harmonized tariff schedule is basically the same and captured in just one single field in SAP. It is used as well for European trade statistics such as Intrastat and extrastat.

Supplementary customs declaration and Import code number

Hi guys,
I've a question from my colleagues from export/import...
They are working with the Supplementary customs declaration. Now it can happen that the Import code number change in the time when starting with the declaration and until sending it to the customs authority. So it can happen, that the "old" number is still in the document.
Custom authority say, that we have to send it with the new number. But also if you're in change mode in the Supplementary customs declaration it isn't possible to change the Import code number.
Any idea?

Keep getting an error message when trying to send some texts to valid numbers, "Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code.

I’d be happy to help with this messaging error! This will be due to the device storing the number incorrectly. Please do the following to resolve the issue:
Delete texts from both old number and new
Delete any call logs including these numbers
Delete old number from contacts
Delete new number from contacts
Restart device
Send text to the new number directly (do not save as contact)
Once the text sends successfully, you can then save as a new contact

Here is an idea for your request.
Basically you can create a simple query on multiprovider 0TCT_MC01.
Filter: you can use a variable for restriction of time ( calday, or calmonth) since you should be interested for a time period.
Choose following characters into your objects:
InfoProvider ( 0TCTIFPROV ) - you can create a variable for choosing infoprovider before query runs.
*Tp.[Type of BI Application Object] 0TCTBISOTYP = filter this with 'QUERY' or whatever your need is.
*BI Application Object 0TCTBISBOBJ, ( this will give you the name of the queries)
In key figures choose, Count for BI Appl. (0TCTWTCOUNT).
(number for query run)
Create a condition , for top 20.

Cross-company code posting BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST number range

When I use BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST for cross-company code - I put the first company code in the header and first line item and the second company code in the second line item.
This posts - however there is a BIG problem with the document numbers it posts:
1. It posts <b>both</b> company codes using the number range of the second company code.
2. It updates NRIV for only the second company code.
How do I get this to work properly and post with the correct number range for the first company code.
