Use of function module to update Realignment data: Demand Planning

Can anyone explain how the function module /SAPAPO/TS_RLG_STEP_CREATE works? I need to use it to update Realignment table(of CVC creation in Demand Planning).

Function modules for selection ID of Demand planning

Hello All,
I need a function module which can return product / location combinations associated with a selection ID.
OR, a function module which can return me 1) Planning book 2) data view and 3) Version associated with a selection ID.
For the second case I have checked FM /SAPAPO/MCPSH_SELECTION_GET , however this function module is returning version and planning book only. But I also need dataview associated with the selection ID.

Hi Vivek,
I am not sure about the FM but, you can play with /sapapo/ts_sekpo (Item Selection Variants) and /SAPAPO/TS_SELKO (Header Selection Variants) table to get the infromation you need. First table will give you details and based on that selection profile GUID you can find PB/DV.

If u need to update object abbreviation or name of the object (HRP1000) you can use FM 'RH_OBJECT_NAME_MODIFY_OR_LANGU'
For updating the date may be you can try FM "RH_UPDATE_INFTY".
You need to test the second FM that it suits ur req. or not

SAVE_TEXT
SAVE_TEXT writes a text module back to the text file or the text memory, depending on the storage mode of the corresponding text object.
You can use this module either to change existing texts or to create new texts. If you know for sure that the text is new, use the parameter INSERT to indicate this. The system then does not have to read the text first, which improves the performance of the function module.
If the lines table passed with the function module is empty, the system deletes the text from the text file.

U can use HR_BEN_CREATE_PLANS internally it calls HR infotype operation as specified by suresh.
Suresh : If there are approximately 3000 records to be updated on regular basis do u think is it better to use BAPI's or BDC

Hi Ashwani,
It is still not possible to use a FM as a source in DS.
You can use a FM in a transformation but you have to start from a file or table as a source and load into a target (a FM can not be an end point of a dataflow - as it is used in the transformation and each transformation requires a source and a target.
The scenario I described above was based on a situation where you have a source (flat file or table) and want to use a Function Module to transform your data and/or load the data in a transparant table in SAP.
Your scenario is different, as your source is not a table/ff but a FM.
In your case, I can see two scerio's:
- Use an ABAP dataflow. Although I haven't got any experience with this I do believe this would be an option for your scenario. Please referer to the Data Services documentation on ABAP dataflows for further guidance.
- As suggested earlier, you can create a bespoke (BW) Datasource based on a Function Module. Please refer to SAP help for creating a generic datasource:

Depending on your scenario there might be a third option:
- Use a SAP transparant table as a source. Create a transformation into the designated Oracle table. In the transformation call a FM which executes whatever logic you require. This solution will work if you have a table which produces the same number of records as your FM. If your function module produces more or less records (than there are in the transparant table), then this might become a bit tricky. It might work, but I have never tried it.
Instead of a transparant table you can also use a table join, obviously. Perhaps part of the complexity of your FM could be resolved by using a join and you can create a new simpler FM for the remaining logic?

Updation of material data using a function module

i want to update fields in the mvke table,but the field is a Customer field in the table, not sap table field.i want to update the field using a program , not going to mm02. which function can i use for the updation.There is a function module MATERIAL_MAINTAIN_DARK for updation,will this funtion module update the customer fields also. Using the function Module BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA , you can also update the custom fields.

Hi,
What do you mean by update routing? Mass update of the routing master data?
If update of routing master data only is necessary, you can use LSMW to automate mass change, however, if you also need to update other affected areas such as Production Order, you can also apply LSMW to Read PP Master Data of the affected transactions.

Update sap table using a function module call by php code

I m trying to update the table VBAP using a function module ZZ_SET_DISTANCE call by a php code.
But I have this problem:
the saprfc seems to work well but when I look to the table VBAP the fields have not been update.
I tried the function module in debug mode and it work good. The fields are update.

You can make use of Dotnet connector to read the content of SAP RFC .. (eaiest of all)
The RFC can be executed using connector , and can read the data simultaneously.. u need to code in dotnet for this..
else create a webservice and read it from dot net ..

Get purchase order doc date using BAPI function module

Hi,
I have a .net windows application that uses BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL function module to get particular details of a PO in SAP. But i am not able to get the "Doc Date" for a particular PO. I am able to get all the details of items from the table "PO_ITEMS ". I used only 1 input parameter "PURCHASEORDER".
Please help me to get this thing done
