Use of test message button in Component Monitoring

Hi All,
We can't send message from adapter Engine where as we can do through Integration Engine from component monitoring of RWB.
Then What is the use of send message button in Adapter Engine from component monitoring? Please comment on this.
Is there any why to send message though Adapter engine from RWB? if so please provide the related blog.

What i was trying to say is , say you have a incoming message. You want to send it directly to adapter engine. In this case the mapping would have already happened as you mentioned before. What i asked you to do is test the mapping in Integration Repository with the incoming payload.
You can then use the target message to send directly to adapter engine.

I have tried this so many times. Kindly confirm with basis team if the password which you are entering for PISUPER or PIAFUSER is the right one. Try to login using SAPGUI with username as PISUPER and the password as PIAFUSER.
If the password works then try again in RWB .
If it still doesnt work do post a message again.

Not sure what you mean by this. Just want to say it is possible to send message directly to adapter engine for test purposes.

Major problem using Nokia Test Message Editor

Using Nokia Test Message Editor on PC Suite 6.83 to create a new message (via USB cable), when I click on create new message (works fine) and then when I click on the "To" button, it says error. It asks me to close program as it has performed an illegal operation. Whys that? The only way I can currently get it to work is by manually entering the phone number but just cant use teh To button.

No that's not helping, "oh boy".
I tried to Repair PC Suite from the Unistaller, same error.
Then I uninstalled PC Suite, restarted, ran PC Suite Cleaner 3.5 to get rid of registry settings and files. Then I noticed some old data in Application Data\PC Suite (old IMEIs) which I all deleted, then I restarted again and installed the newest PC Suite back. It asked me to install MMSync onto my phone, which I did. (see separate bug report on that
Then it gave me a message that some "Old Contact Browser data was found and has been moved to a separate folder", which I think is somehow related to the Contacts bug which I had described for a previuos PCS version, under my old nick "zak1974". Feeling good and all hopeful at last, I launched the Contact browser and it got all contacts with no problem, I went to Messages - Inbox. Clicked on Create New Message button, then "To" - only to find the same bug, which I am perfectly able to reproduce and describe on any level reaqired, as I have saved all screenshots and messages on the way to the Text Message Editor crash. All the above gives me some right to declare a software/firmware bug with the versions of products I had described in my first post.
Any other ideas?

Space problems in component monitoring runtime workbench SAP PI

Hi
If I want do save or delete a new test message in the component monitoring of the runtime workbench in SAP PI but I get the following error:
com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.jsp.exceptions.CompilingException: Error in executing the compilation process: [Cannot error=12, Not enough space].
How can I solve this?
It looks like that the problem only occurs in the component monitoring but I'm not confident with that. The amount of test messages is not that large so I guess there will be more serious problems with the space in the java stack.

Unable to find channel ID - using Test Message in RWB

Hey all - we are using the Test Message tab of the RWB, and we get "Unable to find channel ID" as the response to our message being sent. We are clueless what this means... since this is supposed to send straight into the engine, I'd expect something like "no interface determination" or sometimes similar - but we can't figure out what this error means. This is the message we get, regardless of payload or interface chosen... We even chose an interface that has already been tested & is running successfully into XI via the JMS adapter, so we know the actual path thru XI is valid.
Help is appreciated - I'm sure this is something silly we don't have set up that we need...

We were hitting the Test tab after clicking the AF in RWB - you should choose the engine... it likes that much better.

Component Monitoring

Hi all,
In order to test a normal scenario (for example "File to File"), generally we will place the input file at the specified location.
Instead of that if I use "Test Message" in Component Monitoring, what does it mean? and How the message processing will be done?
Please let me know the internals of the processing.

as the info provided by nikhil is absolutely correct,
the main use of TEST Message is to confirm that whether integration server is working accurately or not.
In message processing in test msg a message is sent without taking help of adapter directly to integration server to confirm its working. once you send a message u can trace it in xi-server and u can check a red icon for the same message, which means that ur integration server is working properly and also there will be an error msg that no receiver determined which is obvious coz no receiver is specified in test message. ur testing is successful.

Component Monitoring - Test Message - Authorization Error

When we try to send the Message using the
Component Monitoring ---> Adapter Engine -- > Test Message
Its giving an Error Message :
"Error sending message, 401 Unauthorized"
We are using PISUPER user.Is there any specific role (or) authorization required
for sending the Test Message

Hi,
Make sure that no user is locked. Make sure in SU01 and also check the administration part of the integration builder. I would also suggest you to double check again whether the passwords in SU01 and exchange profile match exactly. I would suggest to enter these in capital letters.
Additionally also make sure that the user you are using to talk to XI has the role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER in XI.

Also This happens like you mentioned because the PIAFUSER has been locked or has an incorrect password.
Try to change the password of the same.
When you change the password of your service user id's you need to make changes in 2 places,
1. Su01
2. Exchange Profile.

During performing PI 7.1 Readiness Check I have to perform a test message under Runtime Workbench\Adapter Engine\Test Message.
After processing i receive following error:
Error while sending message: 403 Forbidden.
Does anybody know the cause?

Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

Sorry to hear you are having a similar problem. Last night I went to the tool bar at the top of iphoto, clicked on "File", then clicked "Browse Backups" in the drop down menu.    I have an external hard drive that is set up to Time Machine.   The Browse Backups opened the iphoto pages in the Time Machine. I selected a date one day ahead of the day I performed the now infamous update, and it showed my iphoto library as it had existed that day.   I then clicked "Restore Library" at the bottom right corner of the Time Machine screen.   Roughly 2 hours later my iphoto was back to normal.   When I opened iphoto there was a message saying I need to upgrade my program to be compatible with the new version of iphoto(version 9.2.1). I clicked "Upgrade" and within seconds it had done whatever upgrading it needed to do.
The only glitch in the restoration was that it restored the library as it appeared last week, so I no longer had photos I had imported this past weekend.   I simply went back to the Browse Backups in the drop down menu, when Time Machine opened I selected the page showing my pictures from this weekend and again said to Restore Library.   Roughly 45 minutes later the library was restored including the most recent photos.
I am now a happy camper.
I don't know if any of this will be of help to you because your email says you are having trouble with photos imported after the upgrade was performed.   Have you had any pop up notices when you first open iphoto, that tell you you need an upgrade to be compatible with the new iphoto?     If so have you clicked "upgrade"?
Good luck Liz, if you have Time Machine running as a back up to your library, maybe you wil be able to get help there, by following my instructions above.   Otherwise,   good luck with your investigations.   I'd be interested in hearing how you make out.

HT4864 getting error when sending test message - error # 0x80004005 - both icloud accounts. Using settings from webpage

I am receiving error message in outlook when I attempt to send test message from either of my icloud account addresses - error is 0x80004005. I have setup these accounts using the settings in the instructions to manually setup an email account in Outlook. Resolution?

1) i can't see anything in the SLD log , because the user is not able to login to the SLD as you can see at the bottom of my first post.
2) the domain entries in the SLD are done and also correct .
3)our SLD ist running on the productive XI system in the J2EE of the XI system . we use the ABAP UME of this XI system . there i can see , that the user "XIRWBUSER" is locked after several attempts . so it seems to me , that the password of this user is wrong .
now my questions : where can i change the user and password for this connection ?
4) i get the error with SLD connection for all the other components as well (only in the runtime workbench) . the XI itself works fine.

Even I put in the exactly correct info in "Runtime Workbench ->Component Monitoring -> "Test Message" tab "
After I send the message, I got the following ERRORS:
Error while sending message: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: ConfigException in XI protocol handler. Failed to determine a receiver agreement for the given message. Is it something wrong with "System Setting" or "Test Message" environment setting?
How to make the "Test Message" environment work??

Hello,
If the recommended CPA cache refresh did not help to resolve the issue you could also try the following:
Check the correct adapter engine url is being used in trx SXI_CACHE ->Goto -> Adapter Engine Cache.
If it is incorrect:
Go to transaction sxi_cache -> Goto -> Adapter Engine Cache
Delete the Adapter Engine cache entry
Then go to trx SXMB_MONI and try to resend any of the failed messages.
Also check that the SAP BASIS Content has been imported into the Integration Repository.
Integration Repository -> SAP BASIS -> SAP BASIS 7.xx (double click) -> Details (tab)
Try to refresh the following caches:
http://host:<j2ee-port>/dir/start/index.jsp -> Administration
Select Cache Overview
In the section: Java VM Cache Refresh, click Refresh Cache for
- Cache for Softwarecomponents
- SLD Cache
In the section: XI Data Cache Refresh, click Full Cache Refresh for Consumer types:
- INTEGRATIONSERVER_
- INTEGRATIONRUNTIME_
- af.sid.host
On the ABAP client, go to SXI_CACHE for the XI Runtime Cache and select XI Runtime Cache -> Start Delta Cache Refresh.
Try to re-execute the scenario
