Use of window's context node in sap crm

Hi friends.,
Could anybody explain what is the use of window's context node and overview page's context node?Because i use up to context nodes of views,component controller and custom controller.

It is used to perform save/check at the page level. Usually the root object context nodes will be created in the
overview page or window. This can be used to access context node entities such as for the purpose of save, copy,
checks/validations.

How to use attributes from different context nodes in one view?

I am VERY new to the concept of CRM and currently working on creating an alternate version of the BP_HEAD_SEARCH. With help from SAPPRESSs book 'SAP CRM Web Client' i was ble to create my own simple Z-component.
However after going back and forth the book and the forum (including this [article|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/Howtoaddanexistingfieldtoasearchpageofadifferent+component]) i was not able to find a solution to my problem. My current search uses BuilHeaderAdvancedSearch as context node for searching. But the search should also be able to use attributes from BuilActivity, which is directly related to BuilHeader. I can't seem to find a way to get attributes from BuilActivity into the search window of my component without having to change SAP-Standard.
Is this really the only way? Please advise on possible code and insertion point.

Any suggestions?

What port is used by Groupware connector to communicate with SAP CRM?

Hi!
I've been trying to find what port is used by groupware connector when it is communicating with SAP CRM, but all I've found is that is uses SOAP over HTTP.
Our security team only wants to open the relevant port and I haven't found the port....
Does anybody know what port is used?

What gives you an impression that a seperate program is called to write file at OS level.....it could be the program running behind the F110.....try checking the same...and look for GUI_DOWNLOAD in the program.

Using Interactive Adobe Forms in LEAD processing(SAP CRM 7.0)

The first I am not sure, so hopefully someone else can help you with that.
For the second, If you want a Z-field to be used in the action conditions, you should add an attribute to your BOR-object in SWO1.

Which tables are to be used to select all counters readings in SAP CRM 7.0?

Hello,
I need to create a request by SQ01 to extract all counter readings in the database.
First I've found the table CRMD_MPK_READING but this one does not give the value of the counter.
It only contains the GUID of the counters, some information about canceling or error flags.
Could you give some hints to find the table that contains all reading data ?

In SE11 I look for foreign key for table CRMD_MPK_READING and I found table CRMD_MPK_MPOINT.
try CRMD_MPK_MPOINT.

hi developement Themis,
I think u didn't diclare "node" as context node. So declare it as a context node before using as a context node..as below
DATA node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
or u can use "lo_nd_child " as ur context node in ur program in place of "node"
then I think this error will be removed.

How to create a custom Report in SAP CRM using the Bol Framework

Hi Guys
I have developed a report in SE38 which calls a custom Function Module within it and it works all good.
Now I want to take my Function Module as well as the external structures I created for this report and use them to make a View in SAP CRM which will allow the user to make selection and then when they click on a button another view has to be shown which should have the content of the report based on the selection.
I know how to create a view based on the standard object types but this time I want to use my custom function Module..
Kindly advice or refer me to a link that might be useful.

What you've mentioned is exactly the task of CRM Middleware, which sits on the CRM server and governs the data flow.
By any chance are you trying to find out about DOE(Data Orchestration Engine) used by SAP NetWeaver Mobile ?

SAP CRM uses BW Adapter to extract data from SAP CRM and send it to SAP Business Information Warehouse and SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence. For mBDocs, BW Adapter extracts objects for CRM business transactions and CRM billing use the BAdI CRM_BWA_MFLOW. However, in releases prior to SAP CRM 2005, after using transaction code RSA5 to activate business content in SAP CRM, you must use transaction code BWA5 to activate the business content for the BW Adapter.

SAP CRM object model and accessibility

Hi All,
I am new to the SAP world.
I am looking into SAP CRM these days to figure out whether we can write a connector in JAVA so that we
could retrieve all the data from the SAP CRM system
could retrieve all the properties associated with the data
permissions associated with the data
But I couldn't find documentation on how the object model looks like and what needs to be done in order to achieve my goals.
For Eg: If that is SharePoint, I know the object model would be like Web Application -> Site Collection -> Site -> List -> List Items etc., and to access that we could either use OOB web services or write custom web services using SharePoint API
Is this possible with SAP CRM?
Can some one help me with this?

i got the same problem. It is an error concerning the parallel processing. You have to enter the parallel view entries manually (table CRMV_EXTMGR_PAR). Please have a look at note 1271899.

Is it possible to use two context nodes in a single table view?

I have a window context node which is mapped to a dictionary structure. I have created a second node which contains some texts. I've mapped both nodes with the context of a view. In this view I have created a table which shows lines of the first node (the one mapped to a dictionary structure). What I want is to show some text from the second node in a column of the table.
Both of the nodes are populated upon initialization of the window. And they have a 1:1 mapping. (i.e the first line of the second node has some text for the first line of the first node ) . When the table is displayed what I get is the first line of the second node for all the lines of the first node. How can I change that? How can I make the second (text) node show the relevant text of the relevant line?

You can make it work by using the logic of populating the node itself with modified values.
i.e. during the population of the first node populate the text with the text from the second node by looping through its elements
one by one.
node 1 -- during its population or may be after its population loop though its elements and modify the value of text
with the proper value taken from the corresponding value of text from the corresponding element of node 2.

The component usages can be accessed from the component controller
You should however assure that the context node is present in comp controlelr of the used component.View context nodes cannot be accessed.
if not ,then you need to goto the component BTSTATUS ,add the context node explicitly to comp controller,and do correct bindings to the view context node.
Once you add the context node to the com controller,yo also need to expose it.
go to runtime repository->component_interface->interface_controller->context->right click and select ADD CONTEXT NODE, and add you newly creatde context ndoe of comp contorller here.
Now you cann access it using the code below in your comp SRQM_INCIDENT_H
data:lr_comp_controller type ref to <ur comp controller class>lr_comp_controller ?= me->comp_controller.
 lr_comp_usage ?= lr_comp_controller->get_component_usage( iv_usage_name = '<name of the comp usage as in runtime repository' ).
 CHECK lr_comp_usage IS NOT INITIAL.
 lr_cnode ?= lr_comp_usage->get_context_node( iv_cnode_name = '<the required context node name>' ).

Using Search Help with ALV and Dynamic context node

The topic subject already describes my situation.
I have to create, populate and remove context nodes at runtime, and bind them to an ALV, to let user display the data or modify the data. The nodes I create are always typed with a table name, but the table name is of course, dynamic.
This is all working: what's not working is help for entries inside the ALV; since the table has foreign keys and domains with check tables or fixed values, I expected that search helps were detected and managed by the framework.
Instead, no help search is displayed except the input help based on data-type of the one "Date" input fields.
I think I have to work on the dynamic node creation, and not on the ALV itself, since the latter only takes the node/attributes information, but i could be wrong. I tried with both the two following codings:

The result is the same...is there any way to let the ALV know what search helps it has to use, and doesn't force me to manually build a VALUE_SET to be bound on the single attributes? There are many tables, with many fields, and maintaining this solution would be very costly.

I have checked with method GET_ATTRIBUTE_VALUEHELP_TYPE of interface IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO, on an attribute which i know to have a search help (Foreign key of a check table).
The method returns 'N', that is the constant IF_WD_VALUE_HELP_HANDLER~CO_VH_TYPE_NO_HELP. So, the framework was not able to find a suitable search help.
Using method GET_ATTRIBUTE_VALUE_HELP of the same interface, on the same attribute, returns me '111', which is constant C_VALUE_HELP_MODE-AUTOMATIC.
Therefore, the WD framework knows it has to automatically detect a value help, but fails to find one.
Also, this means in my opinion that the ALV and the dynamic external mapping are not the culprits: since node creation, no help is detected for any attribute but the date. Honestly, I don't have a clue on what's happening.

To access a dynamic context node defined in a Used Component

I have a dynamic context node in ComponentA. I want it in Component B too.
Component B uses Component A, but I am not able to get access to the context node.
Is it possible to do this? Any suggestions how to proceed.

Non-singleton nodes:
Web Dynpro allows you to define non-singleton nodes. Each non-singleton node has one node instance for each node element of the parent collection at runtime. The advantage is that each instance can be accessed directly. When using non-singleton nodes, the nodes are only created when the node values are retrieved. This can save resources that otherwise would slow down the performance of the application.
Supply function:
The Web Dynpro tools also automatically enhance the corresponding controller class with a supply function including the user coding area contained in it
Supply functions are implemented as methods of type
public void supplyChildNodeElements(SomeChildNode node,
SomeParentNodeElement)
in a Web Dynpro controller (view controller or custom controller). Supply functions and context nodes have a 1..1 relationship, that is, supply functions are specific for individual context nodes. Under certain conditions, supply functions are called by pages in the Web Dynpro runtime environment.
