Use variable in getURL command

I have some links and I want to use them in flash I put them
into the XML file and i read them and save into a Array variable
now I put them into getURL like this " getUrl(myArr[1]) " I don't
have problem when I used them in flash I press CTRL+ENTER and run
flash file with out any problem but when I use it in out of Flash
for example goto the folder flash_sample and run it the links don't
work!!!
please help me.

are you trying to use myArr before it's defined? ie, loading
files is asynchronous, so the data from the file isn't available
immediately after you start loading.

  • Using variables within GETurl

    Having issues with getting a simple script working...
    I've created a 'flashvars' tag in my embed code (aid=test), which I simply wish to add to the end a GetUrl statement, contained in within a button (which is on the first level of the flash movie). This is the code I've added to the button...
    on (release) {
        getURL("http://www.platinumselect.com?id="+aid);
    But this doesnt seem to work!? Is there anything else I need to do?
    Thanks in advance! (p.s. using actionscript 2.0)

    Where are the 3 places?? I've got it in two at the minute.

    Subject: Using variables within GETurl
    in as2, there is no LoaderInfo class and you don't need to do anything in flash to parse the flashvars.
    but, as i mentioned in a duplicate post, you do need to define your flashvars in 3 places in your embedding html file.  failure to do that is the most common reason for a problem with flashvars.

  • How can I use variable name as a prameter value in HOST Command ???

    Hi All,
    How can it possible to use variable value in parameter in HOST command ??
    Following in my code:
    host('rwclient server=reptest report=c:\cust_print.rdf p_1= s_sam_cust_id userid=wh1/wh1@dwh desformat=pdf desty=file desname=c:/temp/'||v_sam_cust_id||'.pdf');

    Hello,
    The Syntax of the builtin HOST is :
    SyntaxPROCEDURE HOST
    (system_command_string VARCHAR2);
    PROCEDURE HOST
    (system_command_string VARCHAR2,
    screen_action NUMBER);
    So , you can build the system_command_string as any VARCHAR2
    Example are provided in online help :

  • Use variables in a SELECT INTO FROM command

    Hi,
    How do I use variables within a select into from command? I want to loop through SYS.DBA_TABLES using a cursor and count the number of rows in a
    selection of tables an then insert into a cardinality table.
    The count of rows will be stored in a variable called CNT, that bit is easy however I need a variable in the FROM clause because that
    value changes with every iteration of the cursor.
    e.g.
    CNT := 0;
    TN := "MyTable";
    select count(*) into CNT FROM TN;
    insert into cardinality (table_name, row_count) values (TN, CNT);
    This is Oracle 9i and I need the row counts in a separate table as they are shipped over to a different environment for analysis purposes.
    Any ideas?
    Regards

    Hi,
    Thanks for the info, unfortunately I can get neither example to work on this 9i system, could well be pilot error as I only ever get
    to do any Oracle about once per year. In the first query I have tried both "user_tables" and SYS.DBA_TABLES, same result.
    set serveroutput on size 1000000;
    DECLARE
    row_count INTEGER;
    vstr VARCHAR2(500);
    vstr1 VARCHAR2(500);
    BEGIN
    vstr := 'SELECT count(*) FROM ';
    dbms_output.put_line(vstr);
    FOR i IN (SELECT table_name FROM user_tables WHERE rownum < 10) LOOP
    vstr1 := vstr || i.table_name;
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE vstr1
    INTO row_count;
    dbms_output.put_line(i.table_name || ':' || row_count);
    END LOOP;
    END;
    This one complains about the execute immediate line.

      Use this command for disaster recovery only to recover an image via TFTP.
      Monitor variables are used to set up parameters for the transfer.
      (Syntax: "VARIABLE_NAME=value" and use "set" to show current variables.)
      "ctrl-c" or "break" stops the transfer before flash erase begins.
      The following variables are REQUIRED to be set for tftpdnld:
                IP_ADDRESS: The IP address for this unit
            IP_SUBNET_MASK: The subnet mask for this unit
           DEFAULT_GATEWAY: The default gateway for this unit
               TFTP_SERVER: The IP address of the server to fetch from

              TFTP_VERBOSE: Print setting. 0=quiet, 1=progress(default), 2=verbose
          TFTP_RETRY_COUNT: Retry count for ARP and TFTP (default=18)
              TFTP_TIMEOUT: Overall timeout of operation in seconds (default=7200)
             TFTP_CHECKSUM: Perform checksum test on image, 0=no, 1=yes (default=1)

    What I notice in the original post is this error
    ARP: address resolution for 10.0.0.2 timed out.
    which says that the router is looking for the 10.0.0.2 server but not getting response to its arp request. Can the original poster clarify for us how the device that has the image file is connected to the router that has the problem? Also what kind of device is 10.0.0.2? Is it a PC running TFTP server software or is it something else?

    What is the name of the DB Link and the name of the object you are selecting
    from?
    I find it easier to create a view on the remote object then use that in selects.
    e.g,
    Link Name = MyLink
    Object_name = Addr_Loc
    create or replace VIEW Rem_Addr_Loc AS
    select * from addr_loc@mylink;
    In the code I then use the view
    begin
      for C_Rec in (select * from Rem_Addr_loc)
      loop
         dbms_output.put_line('Rec: '|| C_Rec.Col1);
      end loop;
    end;

  • Using Variables in SQL*PLUS

    Hi,
    I hope to get any insight possible. I am using External tables and the Default directory is set. Now the process is that I get an automatic downloads of files placed in that directory. They are all to have the same naming system.
    Test_June_2006 or Test_July_2006 and so on. Basically the month will be one behind, so Since it is August, I am looking for Test_July_2006.
    I was able to set the "location" parameter to accept a variable, but i am having some trouble with set the value to that variable.
    My code:
    define month = EXTRACT(MONTH FROM CURRENT_DATE)-1||'_'||EXTRACT(YEAR FROM CURRENT_DATE).txt
    variable month varchar2(100)
    drop table ext_Test;
    create table ext_Test
    (field1      varchar2(25),
    field2      varchar2(10),
    field3     varchar2(10),
    field4 varchar2(15),
    field5 Float,
    field6     Float,
    field7 Float
    organization external
    ( default directory sourcedata
    access parameters
    ( records delimited by newline
    SKIP 1
    fields terminated by ','
    OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"'
    missing field values are null
    location ('Test_&month')
    reject limit 0;
    When I tried "location ('&month') and setting month to July, it worked fine, but now that I am adding functions, it is not setting the variable properly.
    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    You cannot use & substitution variable to replace file name dynamically.
    You will have to use the ALTER TABLE command at run time to alter the location of the file to what you want before you start processing.
    SQL> create table ext_Test
      2  (field1 varchar2(25),
      3  field2 varchar2(10),
      4  field3 varchar2(10),
      5  field4 varchar2(15),
      6  field5 Float,
      7  field6 Float,
      8  field7 Float
      9  )
    10  organization external
    11  ( default directory sourcedata
    12  access parameters
    13  ( records delimited by newline
    14  SKIP 1
    15  fields terminated by ','
    16  OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"'
    17  missing field values are null
    18  )
    19  location ('Test_&month')
    20  )
    21  reject limit 0;
    Enter value for month: july
    old  19: location ('Test_&month')
    new  19: location ('Test_july')
    Table created.
    SQL> alter table ext_test location('Test_August') ;
    Table altered.

  • Using variables in a fix statement

    I am using a nested fix statement on a dense member and would like to use variables to represent certain intersections. Since the variables need to be within a calc member bloc, where do I place them? Do they go inside the fix statement witht the parenthesis just around teh variables or the last parenthesis at the end of the fix statement?

    If you mean substitution variables, they are defined outside the calc script at a dp, app, or server level. They simply substitute their textual value at the place they appear in the script. If the substitution results in a valid calc script where it occurs, then you are fine. So FIX ( &subvar ) could be valid.If you mean temporary variables, they hold intermediate calculational values. The docs say "VAR commands can only be assigned values within a member calculation or when VAR is declared. " That is, you may either say 'VAR tempvar = 1000; ' [declare and set value] or 'VAR tempvar;' [declare only, often at the start of your script] then somewhere in the script 'tempvar = expression;' [value gets assigned]. This last expression would not appear within the parentheses of a FIX ( members ) statement, but somewhere within the FIX block. You would never say FIX ( tempvar ) as it is not an outline member.

  • Unable to use javac or jar commands

    Hi all,
    I've been using my IDE to compile and run my programs. However, when I want to use -javac or -jar commands in my command prompt, it doesnt work.
    The error is :
    'javac' is not recognised as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file
    Same goes for jar
    -java works for me. Why is that so? I hope anyone can give me solution.
    Note : I'm on windows vista
    Another question :
    I've been using JMF (Java Media Framework) to develop a simple audio player. However it can be run on my pc. What happens if I try to run the program at another pc, will it still work? The other pc will not have JMF installed, but will have JRE to run java apps. If it cannot be run on the other pc, is there any solution?
    Thank you for your kind assistance.

    Reason : Sorry I have mixed up java and javac, I've corrected it.

    Mainta? That's my favourite!This time...
    In very general terms the PATH is a system variable that is maintained and used by your operating system or shell (not Java) to locate executable files. So, for instance, if you type the command:
    >writeit will be the PATH that Windows uses to locate the write.exe word processor.
    The directory containing the Java tools - java.exe, javaw.exe, jar.exe, appletviewer.exe etc - very commonly goes into the PATH variable.
    The classpath is a list of locations that Java uses to locate classes (as you said). It is used by Java and not your operating system. It is commonly (but not always) set each time you use one of the Java tools. There is a -cp switch that lets you do this. For instance a common command to compile a file would be
    >javac -cp . HelloWorld.javaThe "-cp ." bit means "the classpath shall be the current directory".
    Setting a particular classpath does not, in general, affect the "built in" classes of Java, so you don't have to worry about this. If you search the documentation that came with your distribution you will find the exact rules for "how classes are found": but to begin with the important thing is that any classes you write must be included in the classpath which can be specified as part of the commands to compile or run your code.

  • Using @variable('BOLanguage') prompts in webi documents

    Hello,
    I am using @variable('BOLanguage') in the universe to handle multilinguism.
    Unfortunately, when running my webi document, the variable prompts whereas it is a BO variable.
    On top of that, let us suppose, I enter "test" as a value for this variable, when it is evaluated, the variable is evaluated as 'fr' or 'en' but not as 'test' which proves that this variable should not prompt.
    Does anyone have any idea about how to prevent 'BOLanguage' from prompting.
    Thanks in Advanced
    Sylvie

    Oh, ok that's interesting. I went back to find the documentation but couldn't find anything specific to BOLANGUAGE, just to @Variable in the Universe designers guide.
    http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31SP2/en/xi31_sp2_designer_en.pdf
    It mentions entering -var parameter at the command line when starting BO to get access to other variables, and the syntax to use for @variable. It also mentions language variables like 'Preferred Viewing Locale', but nothing about 'BOLanguage'. Anyway, looks like you have answered your own question.
    Thanks

  • Server 2008 R2 Powershell version 4 cannot use Get-Net* (anything) commands

    Brand new to PS here.
    I have a new install of 2008R2 and have updated to Powershell 4 by installing Windows
    Management Framework 4.0. The system has DotNET 4.5.1 on it as well.
    I am trying to run a script for setting IP which is part of the example shown in the following blog:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/heyscriptingguy/archive/2013/01/03/use-powershell-to-deploy-a-new-active-directory-forest.aspx
    So far I have run into a brick wall as I am unable to break the code for using the Get-NetAdapter command.
    In the example, the following is shown:
      $ipif = (Get-NetAdapter).ifIndex  New-NetIPAddress -IPAddress $ipaddress -PrefixLength $ipprefix -InterfaceIndex $ipif -DefaultGateway $ipgw
    When running the script, PS errors with
    "Get-NetAdapter : The term 'Get-NetAdapter' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program"
    I found that by using "$ipif = Get-Command -Module NetAdapter -InterfaceIndex" , I get nothing. When I use the PowerShell ISE, no error
    is given either and the Intellisense feature is no help.
    I have executed
    Get-Module on my system and this is the output:
    ModuleType Version    Name

    another joke from Microsoft...... there are many documents on the TechNet referring to Windows Management Framework 4.0 containing NetAdapter cmdlet... even pointing to the right download location.... but forget to mention that the damn thing does
    not work on Windows Server 2008 environment... again... a joke
    It's right at the top of the documentation page for the cmdlets.

  • Using variables: Statement must appear within on handler

    I would like to use variables in my flash app. The app is quite simple, has many buttons, and on each of those buttons I have a simple script: on-rollover and on-release. For both actions I use the same value, which I want to put in a variable. The following script results in an error message: Statement must appear within on handler. When I have to declare the variable inside the on-handler, I have to declare it twice, which makes it useless as I have to enter the value twice. How can I get this working?
    country = "uk"
    on (rollOver)
        gotoAndPlay(country)
    on (release)
        getURL("/"+country+"/", "_self");

    try:
    Select a frame on the timeline where your buttons live and then move the buttons handlers there:
    e.g.
    myButton1.onPress = onPressFunction
    myButton2.onPress = onPressFunction
    myButton3.onPress = onPressFunction
    etc.etc.
    myButton1.onRelease = onReleaseFunction
    myButton2.onRelease = onReleaseFunction
    myButton3.onRelease = onReleaseFunction
    etc.etc.
    country = "uk"
    function onPressFunction(){
         this.gotoAndPlay(country)
    function onReleaseFunction(){
        getURL("/"+country+"/", "_self");
    If you use this approach you MUST remove the scripts from buttons themselves.
    I hope this helps.

  • Using variables w/ loadMovieNum

    what is the proper syntax for using variables with loadMovie
    num?
    ive set up a button that will define a var
    on (press) {
    var bigpic = "2";
    _root.gotoAndPlay("out");
    and then further down the timeline ,
    i would like to use that the var bigpic in a loadMovieNum
    command....
    but what is the proper way to do this ?
    thanks,
    tony

    it all depends on what the intention of the variable bigpic
    is... is it intended as the level you want to load a movie in? if
    so then it needs to be a number rather than a string:
    var bigpic = 2;
    and then later:
    loadMovieNum("pic.jpg", bigpic);
    but maybe bigpic is the number of the picture that you want
    to bring in...?
    then you use something like:
    loadMovieNum("pic"+bigpic+".jpg", 2);
    (assuming that you're bringing in jpgs, that they're called
    pic1.jpg, pic2.jpg etc and you're loading them into level 2.)

  • Limiting arrays and using lindex in regexp commands

    Hello there,
    Here's my second and extremely crap question/post with regards to EEM/TCL.  I've been doing some googling and haven't really been able to find an answer to these questions.  Probably more due to my lack of skill with the search bar than the information just not being out there.  Hope you'll forgive me though.
    1.     My first question is this.  Say I want to get some output from a command.  I'd like to see all the interfaces in the "show ip vrf interface command" for example.  Not knowing how many interfaces there might be, there could be 10 or there could be 200, what's the best way of limiting a loop function after I have issued the following commands?
    set _vrf_int [exec show ip vrf interface]
    set _array_vrf_int [split $_vrf_int "\n"]
    set $i 0
    while {$i < 200} {
      regexp {([A-Z]+[a-z]+[0-9]+).*} [lindex $_array_vrf_int $i] _complete_string _int
      inc $i 1
    Not 100% sure the syntax is correct, sorry.  If I only have 10 interfaces then there isn't going to be a need to issue this loop 200 times for "$_array_vrf_int".  It also wouldn't be great if I went over 200 interfaces.  Is there a way I can limit this loop based on the number of lines that were captured after the split function?
    2.    The value of the regexp above is output to the var $_int.  Is there a way I can output the regexp to an array? a'la:-
    regexp {([A-Z]+[a-z]+[0-9]+).*} [lindex $_array_vrf_int $i] _complete_string [lindex $_int $i]
    Syntax there definitely isn't correct but I guess there might be a way to do this.  Any thoughts?
    3.     I've been doing some comparisons on some output to see if an access-list is present on an interface.  I can get a regexp to pull back the name of the access-list on a particular interface but if no access-list exists can I do an if statement on nothing?
    set _acl_name 0
    regexp {.*ip access-group (.*) in} $_running_int _complete_string _acl_name
    if {$_acl_name != 0} {puts "there is a access-list on $_int"} else {puts "there's no acl on $_int :-("}
    In the output above I'm setting the value of "$_acl_name" to zero so that I can compare it in the if statement.  This seems like a crap newbie way to do it though.  Is there some kind of wildcard I can put in place of the "0" to match an empty variable. a'la {null}.
    4.     Sorry last question.  Can I also reset the variable to {null} using a similar wildcard.  Again I can reset the variable to 0 but it just seems like I don't understand the syntax well enough and there is probably a better method.
    5.     I've read several tutorials that cover alot of the basics.  Is there a good reference anyone can suggest so I don't waste any more of your time with these silly questions?  I'm afraid the scripts I've studied on this forum are still way over my head.
    Many thanks in advance
    Alex

    Hi Joseph,
    Thanks again for all your help.  Sorry it's taken a while to respond.  If I'm honest, you'd cooked me with your response and I wanted to give your reply some decent time to digest and gain some level of understanding.  It's been a few years since I was 17, learning pascal and I'm finding the whole tcl scripting particularly hard to get my head around.  After the third level of if/for/foreach with nested split commands etc my brain seems to lose the plot.  Never the less I shall persist.
    Using the information you've kindly provided I've since got a nice tclsh only script that will look through a routers vrf interfaces, pick out the ones that have a particular vrf, check each one for an inbound access-list, confirm the access-list meets certain criterial based on a switch/regexp function and finally report on lines that shouldn't be there or are missing all together.  The "unset" command wasn't useful in this scenario unfortunately.  It seems to explicitly delete the variable together and so I can't check if it's empty or not.  I've instead resorted to setting the list variable I was using to 0 for all entries before with the switch function that if matched sets an individual entry to 1 before they are checked at the end to ensure they were all matched. I'm sure it's not the most elegant script in the world and due to the extensive use of the "exec" command, I couldn't actually use it.  Still I'm getting there, abiet very slowly.  The hours that I've spent playing with tcl are certainly racking up now.  I just hope my knowledge is too.
    Thanks for the suggestion on the book.  I checked and it is indeed the one I purchased 2 years ago when my interest in eem was first captured.  It's unfortunately very thick and slightly scary!  It also doesn't have any examples of combining switch/regexp functions together, which is a bit annoying considering that's the first thing I've tried to use it for.  Hopefully I'll find it very useful as my understanding gets alittle greater though.
    Anyway, thank you again for your extremely helpful responses.  Until the next stupid question!
    Kind regards
    Alex
