User-defined event assistance needed

I have a 3D cast member that contains a bunch of animations
defined by start and end points. For example, from 200 to 5000
milliseconds is a rotation animation, and between 5001 and 6000 is
a translation animation. I need to know when each of these
animations have finished. I used animationEnded initially, but I am
not sure how to set animationEnded to fire after a defined span of
animation has terminated.
Do I need to write a custom event to capture this? If so, how
do you define an event? I am looking at using registerForEvent, I
just don’t know how to write the event itself.
Any help is appreciated.

I think you're expecting something more than exists.
You *the programmer* has to determine when to fire the event.
It's not
something you can ask to have automatically calculated for
you. You have
to write code to detect when the rotation goes beyond 270
degrees, or
when a 3D sprite's state changes. All of this will involve
you polling
for information required from a regular event like #exitFrame
or a
timeout object.
When you detect that it's time to fire the event you use
member.sendEvent(#eventName)

I wrote this code for alarms but now I have modified it to handle events. So, first create the event (create alarm button), then try to acknowledge it or clear it. There should be a time inserted for acknowledging and clearing. It does't work. I have used the exact event URL to acknowledge it. Please help.

Hi Matt,
Thank you for attaching the new code, I didn't realize there was a path in that constant since the original box was so small. Part of the problem you are seeing actually lies within that path, you should be locating to \\*\Process Name\UserDefinedAlarm now that you switched from working with events to alarms. Also, you are still using the Set User Defined Event.vi and Read Events.vi, which need to move over to their Alarm counterparts.
Once you have those changes made, you need to alter the way you are trying to acknowledge the alarms. The problem isn't within logging the time but that the alarms are not being acknowledged at all. If you use the Read Alarms.vi and then wire the "alarms" output into the acknowledge function then it will acknowledge all of the active events (you may have to change the acknowledge type to Alarms). If you only want to acknowledge a single alarm at a time then you will need to trim down that cluster to focus on your selected alarm.
Finally, the way you are logging to the multicolumn listbox is not functioning correctly. I would suggest you look at the DSC Alarms Demo example (Help » Find Examples... » Toolkits and Modules » Datalogging and Supervisory Control » Alarms and Events » DSC Alarms Demo.lvproj). In that example there is a subVI, which is not part of the Alarms & Events palette but probably should be, named Format Alarm Data.vi. It is used in the first three examples under that project and should work better for logging all of your alarm interaction than searching through the database.

U can have button on application toolbar.
You just have to use the new pf status in your report program.
You should copy the 'STANDARD' GUI status from program SAPLKKBL using transaction SE90 >Programming SubObjects> Gui Status.
Execute this transaction to get to next screen. select status using checkbox. click on GUI Status --> Copy.
Enter your Z program name and the name you what for this status - you can keep it as 'STANDARD' to be simple.
Then you can edit the new status to add or delete buttons. This will also bring in the standard SAP ALV functionality.
Have a look at below code for using the new status.

Fire non-user defined event inside another event

I want to call a normal/non-user defined event after an operation has occured inside a different normal/non-user definded event. Is this possible?
The reason I don't want to use a user defined event is that if this can be done this way it would be much cleaner implemenation. Also, cleaner than using a sub-vi which would require a lot of wiring.

From my experimentation with this, it appears that the fired event
will not actually execute until the event currently being executed
(the one that fires the other event) is completely finished. The
"time" terminal of the second event idicates the time when it was told
to fire, but it does not actually execute then. You cannot say do
steps 1,2,3 in an event, temporarily leave that event to do code in
another event, then come back to the first event and complete steps
4,5. If the second event is fired after step #3, then steps 4 and 5
will finish first before the second event executes. This contrasts
with other languages such as Delphi were you can leave one event
temporarily.

Java classpath error while crawling sample user defined datasource (SampleA

Hi All,
I am trying to run the sample crawler agent provided by ultra search "SampleAgent.java". For this
I have created and configured the user defined datasource type and the user defined data source (for the NEWS TABLE) as per the readme file of the Sample Crawler agent.
I have also created a schedule for this user defined type.
However, while executing the schedule I am getting the following error:
WKG-30116: Can not find agent class "SampleAgent" from the java class path
Please let me know the reason for the error. Am I right in creating and executing a schedule for user defined data source? (the doucmentation never says that, for user defined datasource, I need to create a schedule and execute it!!)
Also, after going through some of the postings in this discussion forum I understood that I need to check my java classpath from the WK$CRAWLER_DEFAULT_CONFIG table.
In this table my the value for

2) I hv used the same timings for start & end as you hv mentioned.
3) The 2 variables "start_time" and "end_time" take the opening & closing business hours respectively in a 24 hour format.
4) You might want to remove the DBMS_OUTPUT ... stmts which I had added for debugging.

Calling a stored proc that has a parameter of a user-defined (array) type

Hope someone can help me on this, because I am really struggling...
From a c-program, I am calling stored procedures using the OCI Interface. Everything is OK, when using the standard types (integer, string, date), but I am encountering problems when one of the parameters is of a type that is defined in the database as an array. My application calls multiple array-type parameters in one call, but for the sake of simplicity, I created a test application to only use one.
The following call is working (but it needs to be called using the OCI functions):

My first step was to have the following combination:
statement: begin p_test_table_num(:pin_num1);end;
parameter: pin_num1

That lead to the error (when executing the statement): wrong number or types of arguments
Second idea (after a lot of browsing):
statement: begin p_test_table_num(t_array_eh_dep(:pin_num1));end;
parameter: pin_num1
value: 1,2,3
This leads to the error: numeric or value error: number precision too large.
My bind function call looks like:

For those who are interested, I found the solution myself...
To use any user-defined type, you need to perform the following steps:
1. OCIBindByPos or OCIBindByName as you would bind a normal parameter
2. OCITypeByName to get a reference to the type definition in Oracle
3. OCIObjectNew to create a reference to the array (OCI_TYPECODE_VARRAY)
4. Assign a value to the column, for instance use OCIStringAssignText, OCINumberFromInt, OCIDateFromText
5. OCICollAppend ( to add the value from step 4 to collection)
6. OCIBindObject
7. OCIStmtExecute
8. OCITransCommit

2.1.1 Problem with User Defined Reports with actions on the context menu

I use the User Defined Reports quite a lot, and export and publish these to other members of the team as Shared Reports. I'm also quite disappointed that there seems to be no further development in this area of SQL Developer.
One of the totally undocumented features of User Defined Reports is the ability to attach actions to a context menu, and pass data from the grid to a procedure, for example. Copying, then exporting the sessions report (from All Reports -> Data Dictionary Reports -> Database Administration -> Sessions) exposes the XML for adding actions to the context menu. The snippet for killing a session looks like this:

It seems to work fine to add this to the master reports, but if you add an <item> element to the child reports, the context menu items appear on the master report too, and they are duplicated many times. I'm not sure if the action of exporting the report adds to the number of times the context menu appears.
Warning - if you edit a report using SQL Developer, all the <item> tags are removed. Once you've added actions to a context menu, you can only edit the report by exporting it, modifying the XML and importing it again.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? Have you found a work-around?
To the SQL Developer team: Are there any plans to allow the adding of user defined context menu items to reports using the GUI in the near future?

You're right the context menu needs a GUI desperately. You can request this at the SQL Developer Exchange, so other users can vote and add weight for possible future implementation.

2.I have created new object class "userproducts" and made the parent to be "inetorgperson" and added my "ldapproducts" attribute in required attribute.
Now,in directory tab,Iam trying to add the "ldapproduct" attribute for each user but my defined attribute i.e,"ldapproducts"is not available in the "Add Attribute"list
please let me know do i need to do some steps or do i need to do any changes in DS files..

I dont know the solution for this, but heres a work arround
//create new label some where else in the excel sheet as shown below
Label lblcmbdata;
for(int i=0; i<1000; i++)
             lblcmbdata = new Label(75, i, (i+1)+" satish", format);
             sheet1.addCell(lblcmbdata);
}//set the validation range as shown below
writableCellFeature.setDataValidationRange(75,0,75,1000);
Label cmb = null;
cmb = new Label(0, 1, "Select",format);
cmb.setCellFeatures(writableCellFeature);
sheet.addCell(cmb);this will create a combo list with 1000 values
also you can keep the data to be populated in the different sheet in same workbook by creating a named range as below
workbook.addNameArea("cmbdata", sheet1, 0, 0, 0, 1000);
// then fill the data in sheet1

Need user define function for the message mapping structure

Hi All
I am new to XI.I need the java code for Udf for the following structure.
i have two input and one out put as error.
order_nos----
user define function-------error message
order_details----
num of orders---- i.e. 10
order_details------ i.e. whole order records details
1.i have to compare the 1st input with 2nd one means if the ist input contain 10 means there are 10 orders in 2nd input.if not then i have to give error message .
2.then i have to check the fields in 2nd input has no null values.if no values the output will be error message.

this my mapping where under one element number elements are there.when i am excuting the code to check the null value its always giving the there is null val but i have filled evrything.its due to first its checking the order_x and which will be always null.uder this all data will be filled.please suggest what to change in the udf.the code given by u is working fine but its failing in this scenario because it getting the parent filed is null.
