Hi , there is a way to create a user definied field definition that connects in a specific table of my application an list a column?

This problem has been discussed a number of times before and there are a few different approaches that you can take depending on your exact requirements.
If you go to the properties tab in the form designer there is a "lookup query" property that should be able to resolve your problem but I have never used this specific feature so unfortunately I can't give you the specific details for the exact syntax.

I am able to add attribute but not able to make field as mandatory,while creating attribute we are not getting option like that you want this field mandatory or not but while modifying the attribute we are getting option like required field radio button if i select that i am getting error "you cant change an attribute to required unless all the user have value for this field"

USR user defined field in OIM design console in not visible

Hi all,
We have OIM setup in the environment and wanted to add some custom attributes for USR user defined field definition. When I open the User Defined Field Definition tab, I could not see USR form. When I tried to export specific users from OIM just to check whether USR is visible or not, it is appearing. When I tried to import the same set of users again to OIM, I could still not be able to see USR in OIM design console.
Any ideas why this has happened? There were no changes in OIM env recently.
Please help.

Exported the user in xml file and found that Form Administrator is missing. I added that specific section from other working environment and it is working fine now.

OIM user defined field in process form

I am trying to create a user defined field (UDF) in a process form. The UDF would be a drop down list of values for the status field.
I've tried to do this by going to the Administration list, and double clicking on User Defined Field Definition. Then selecting the Form Designer. I can add a column but I cannot add values to the drop down. I know I'm probably doing this wrong.
How do I add a UDF drop down and its values to a process form?

1. Create lookup table for the drop down contents.
2.In the process form--->go to the properties tab-->select the User defined filed name-->add property--->property Name drop down list -->select lookup code-->in the property value-->provide the lookup table name-->save

Missing user-defined fields (project definition) in project inform. system

Dear PS friends,
I have extended the CI_PROJ structure with some user-defined fields.
I have started report RCNCT001 (to analyze these new fields in the project information system). The include RCNPROJR was generated and contains the new fields (table XXL_DATA). Include RCNSOM00 was generated too. This is described in note 43493.
But Iu2019m still missing the new user-defined fields in the dynamic selection of reports (e.g. CN40).
What else I have to do? We use SAP_APPL : SAPKH60009

have you used user defined field or custom field via exit CNEX......
User defined fields are activated by configuration using field key
If you added custom fields then check out OSS note 188663 on how to create a CUS view for dynamic selection.

User defined fields in Crystal layout

Hi All,
I want to add user defined field values in crystal layout for Sales order, but its not listed in RDR1 tables there but it's available in SAP query manager view. How can i get that in Crystal reports. please suggest on this.

You can then remove the key and the fields in the database will keep their correct definitions rather than varchar(max) which is causing the initial problems.
Adding extra keys may uause performance issues if you leave them there for a large table.
I have also had issues of varchar(max) fields causing database connection issues when running the reports in 8.81 PL07.

Want to add a prepopulated User defined field in create user form

Hi,
I have an entity adapter which will perform a pre-insert check on the user group of the user logged in to the oim.
If the logged in user belongs to a group say "IT ADMIN", another validation check will be imposed on the create user action performed by him.
If not from "IT ADMIN" group then create user action will be handled normally.
Now the catch is, how would I determine the group name of the user logged in from the adapter code I have written?
I decided to keep an User defined field "Created by" in the create user form which will be non-editable and auto-prepopulated with the group name of the logged in user. This way I will be able to map the variable field from the User definition drop down list while mapping the adapter variables.
May you please guide me how I can achieve this?

However I am still in dark.
I tried to retrieve the groupname using tcUSerOperationsIntf. But iit tries to retrieve the group name of the user getting created.
Please note, the group name I want is not of the user yet to get created, but that of the user creating it i.e., the logged in user.
My requirement is to have this created_by field in the create user form already prepopulated with the group name of the logged in user.
So that I can put a check based on this field value in the netity adapter.
If the group is IT ADMIN then proceed with the validation.
Else no validation required.
In short, I want to know,how can I auto-prepopulate a UDF in Create USer form?

The following is the setup.
1. I defined a DBAT - ORACLE CONNECTOR and was able to provision users to it.
2. Then I defined an user defined field in OIM i.e.
2.1 added in the User defined field list in Users form - branch
2.2 Added the entry with proper tags in formmetadata.xml
2.3 And also updated it in the xlWebAdmin_en_US.properties file
3. Restarted the server.
4. And in the DBAT provisioning process added a new task, attached a process task adapter in integration.
4.1 in Adapter variable mapping
Adapter return value
Map to - Process Data
Qualifier - DEFAULT_BRANCH ( I think target attribute name)
4.2 input value
Map to - user definition
qualifier - branch
5. Added the USR_UDF_BRANCH CODE , Update DEFAULT_BRANCH to the the lookup usr process triggers.
When an end user modifies from the account profile, it only reflects in the process form and not in the target table

The other usecase is - when xelsysadm logs into idm console and updates the attribute on the user form, it updates the process form and the target table column also.

You need to give permission to update the process form to any users who would be the source of the change. So if joe schmoe is updating the user, they need permission to update the process form for any user they update.

User Defined Fields, Is Dropdown Selection possible?

Dear Experts,
In User Defined Field -1 can we define our own values, so that for this field we can make drop down selection, instead of manual entry.
Facility seems to be available, as it shows balloon there. But no values of cource.
Is it possible?

User defined Field Size limit

Hi,
would anyone know if there is a limit of the number of user defined fields that can be addeded to SAP Business One (2004A on SQL server 2000)?
I think there is (in a diffrenet way). It looks like there is a maximmum byte size - 8060.
I have the following user fields already in the business partner master data screen .
A - alphanumeric size = 50
B - alphanumeric size = 20
C - alphanumeric size = 20
D - alphanumeric size = 20
E - alphanumeric size = 254
If I try to change B to size 254 ,This is the error message I get.
"[CUFD] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Warnning: The table 'ACRD' has been created but it's maximum row size 'User Fieds - Descr' (8522) exeeds the maximum number of bytes per row (8060)..."
there is nothig else wqrong with the field exept I cannot make it size 254 (I can if I delete the field E though), so I definitely think it is SAP restricting the size. SQL Server does not have this size restriction. I can manually go and change the size using SQL Server Enterprise manager for example.
I have managed to change the size directly on ACRD, and
CUFD but dont thinks this is a very approprite way of handilng it.
Is this an undocumented restriction/feature in SAP or have I missed reading about this ?

I hope you are right. But I have experiences this with many atleast 3 other seperate installations. They were all SQL Server, ranging from Enterprise versio, to Developer version to standard.
However I can directly change the size in SQL Server without an issue as I mentioned. This proves that this not an issue with SQL Server. Could it be some sort of a flag in the SAP? I get this on the SAP US demo company for example.
If anyone else had the problem please do respond.

User Defined Fields & AD Connector

Hello All
I am having a bit of trouble understanding the flow of information from Xellerate User to AD connector table/provisioning and was hoping someone could help me out. Basically, I have a set of user defined fields that I need to get provisioned to active directory. I have follow the AD connector documentation for adding the new fields to the resource form and process definition but I still do not see the new values for the data showing up in the UD_ADUser table to be provisioned to AD. Not sure if there is a pre-populate adapter I need to add to move the data from USR to UD_ADUSER or if there is some other data mapping that needs to be done, but any help or guidance (end to end) would be helpful.

I did the adapter (pretty much copied the last name adapter) but when I update the values in the web console for the user defined fields, it is not updating the values in the UD_ADUSER table. I am also getting this value in the OIM log...do you know what could be causing this.

Hi,
Std SAP provides the following user-defined fields for WBS.
4 numeric fields
4 general fields
2 date fields
2 check boxes
We would like to use as many as 20 numeric user-defined fields for wbs.
Is there a way to do this?

hi,
It is not possible with user defined fields. You can achieve this using SPRO menu path Project System ->Structures->Work Breakdown Structure->Enhancement for Project Definition WBS lements -> Create customer specific fields in WBS.
You have to use enhancement CNEX0007 to create the required fields.
You will, ofcourse, need the help of an ABAPer to do this.

Additionally to the answer of Jimmy Michael:
After marking the UDF you need in tools->manage UDF you have to restart XL-Reporter before you can see your UDF in any of the dimension look ups (at least if you are working with the advanced report builder - I don't have any experience using the report composer).
That is, you have to close XL-Reporter, terminate XL-Reporter in Administration->Add-ons-Add-on manager in the main menu of SAP and start it again.
Now your UDF is available in all report definitions.

How to provide value to a User Defined field thru java code

I am using OIM 11.1.1.5.
I have a user defined field called Unique-Customer-Number. This field need to be pre-populated during user creation (using OIM Web UI) and the value comes from a java code.
Can any of you tell me the high level steps to implement this.

Confirmation of User defined fields on CO11N

Dear All,
Can anybody tell me how to confirm user defined field during operation confirmation of an order. I have created a user field key and assigned in the operation detail screen in routing. Is it required to include a freely defined screen for CO11N in customizing or any other setting is there.

you have to create a customer defined screen and attach as in the link. Add the Freely definable detail screen in OPK0. Confirm the user defined fields.
