User details iview , PeopleDetails portal component

Hi all,
I want to remove User name- context menu for launching collaboration services from User detils iview (com.sap.netweaver.kmc.people ).
Do any one no how to get rid of context menu that appears when we click on persons name.
I am getting a small window with bellow option when I click on name of the person:
Send email
Create appointmnet
show availability
send instant message
share application
start webx session
create session
create task.
Amit.

Hi Adam (All),
Could you please post details about the Layout Controller. I need to develop a People Details popup which appears when the user hovers over the name link, but I can't figure out how to use the com.sap.netweaver.kmc.people.PeopleDetails komponent with Javascript. I was thinking of developing a Js script that gets executed when the main portal IView is displayed and displays a balloon popup.  Your help is much appreciated!
Thanks.

  • User Details iView - show an image as property

    Hi,
I would like to add an image to the user details iView showing the gender of the person (e.g. male = blue icon, female = red icon).
So the shown image must be depending on the users gender.
Do you know if this is possible? Is it only a "simple" Layout render or something else?
Showing icons should be possible I think (the collaboration visible status is also there). But how can I add own Icons representing a property?
Would be great if you could tell me if this is possible and how.
    Thanks in advance.
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
how do you add the text? As plain HTML? This would explain why it looks different from the rest of your text since plain HTML by default doesn't get the font style that is applied to other HTMLB elements.
Three ways to style the text the way you want it:
    1) Use an HTMLB control which renders the font the way you want it (e.g. label)
    2) View the source code of your generated HTML. Find a text snippet which looks the way you want your text to look. Copy the CSS class and add it to your text for example with a span:
    <span class="classnameyoulookedup">Your Text</span>
    3) Add the styling you want directly inline to your text:
    <span style="font-size:...">Your text</span>
    I hope this helps,
    Esther

  • PortalRuntimeException in Business Object document iview No portal component associated with the following context

    Hi all,
We are stumped with a problem in our QA Enterprise Portal (7.3.1 Sp7) that throws a portal runtime error when we preview a Business Objects document iview.  The Business Objects Server versions are 4.0 SP5 and/or 4.1 SP3.
The error is caught in the the defaultTrace file, /usr/sap/QNW/J00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log
    [EXCEPTION]
com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: There is no portal component associated with the following context:

    at com.sap.portal.prt.component.PortalComponentContext.<init>(PortalComponentContext.java:93)
Here is what we have tried
    * Confirmed the iviews exist in the PCD, by browsing to the content folders and right lick, preview on the iview.
    * Our PRD and DEV systems work correctly and are on same versions of EP Runtime and java. 7.3.1.7.0.201..
    * Occurs with all Businessobjects iviews from the QA portal and all doc types, webis, dashboards. Tried creating new iview.
    * Reapplied the com.sap.businessobjects.iviews.templates.epa to the Portal from t he BI 4.1 SP3 distribution
    * Deleted and recreated the BI portal system connector using the SAP BOBJ system template set path to http://bi-qas:8080/BOE
    * Set the embed key value in the BI system connector property and in the custom global.properties file, restarted tomcat and SIA services
    * Set permissions for everyone end user on the content folders and the BI system connector
    * Confirmed Single sign on configured correctly between BI and Portal
    * Confirmed that the QA BI server is configured correctly by directing the working DEV Portal to the QA BI server.
    * Performed actions in note 1709737
We are certainly stuck and the defaultTrace file is not very informative.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

This is resolve with note 1615838  - SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portal 7.3 iView creation with BI 4.0 results in exceptions.
The note includes a file portalapp.xml that need to be inserted into com.sap.businessobjects.iviews.par that is included in the BI server distribution.
    Then deploy the ear file.....
Odd thing is that the note mentions 4.0 and we are on 4.1 SP3...

  • How to get the User Details inoformation in portal?

I had defined the user informations in "Portal User Details". But i don't know how to get it and what the user table is?
for example: How to get the email address of user i have defined in portals?
    Tank you very much!
    Ghia Liu
    Genesyslogic.com.tw

You would use the portal API's for this, there is one named wwsec_api.person_info that returns a record with the specified user's information, such as first name, lsat name, email, telephone, etc - a pretty long list. With release 2 of portal the data is no longer stored in the wwsec_person$ table as it was in release 1 so use the API (which actually is how I would normally do it in release 1 as well).
To get more documentation on portal API's go to: http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/plsql/doc/astart.htm
Hope that this helps you - enjoy the day!

  • Change User Details iView! (From Who Is Who results!)

    Hi All
I am trying to find the iView that displays the users details (the one with the picture) when selected from the who is who iview.
I can't find it anywhere can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
I'm not sure if I'm looking at the same Who Is Who iView that you are, but the results detail view doesn't have any tabs, just headings: Communication, Dapartment Misceallaneous.
The one I'm looking for is only one iView with multiple views (its built with Web Dynpro), the location in PCD is as follows:
Content Provided by SAP > End User Content > com.sap.pct.ess.employee > com.sap.pct.ess.iviews > Employee Search
(there are two employee search objects, you want the one with the <b>com.sap.pct.ess.serv_employee_search</b> and <u>NOT</u> the one com.sap.pct.ess.area_employee_search which is just the Area Page for the Employee Search workset.
To edit this iView, you'll need the JDI Cookbook for ESS and MSS modifications.

  • User details change on portal

Hello experts, for some odd reason I have been unable to change user details on portal recently. I am getting the following error: "A problem has occurred in the persistency. The original message was: BAPI_USER_CHANGE@BWPCLNT500: ID=01, NUMBER=492, MESSAGE=You are not authorized to change users in group".
I do have administrator roles and everything, and I used to be able to change user details (like e-mail and language). What I do not understand is why this suddenly stopped working, as it was working before (the funny thing is that even with the default administrator user from Portal it is not possible to change user details anymore). Still, how can I solve this problem? We are using EP 7.0 and another SAP system (ABAP) for user management. I am not in charge of the ABAP system, though I do have access to several transactions in there. I tried looking for the "BAPI_USER_CHANGE" thing, but I could not find it. Is that a role or something I need to assign to my user?

Hi, thanks for the answers. I checked the roles of user SAPJSF. He has SAP_BC_FP_ICF, SAP_J2EE_ADMIN and he previously had SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO, but I changed it for SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICTION. However, once I restarted the Web AS, there was no communication between our backend system and the portal (checking the logs, I found the error "#1#com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: User SAPJSF has no RFC authorization for function group SYST." Therefore I added the role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO role, without taking out the other one, and restarted the server. There is now communication between the backend system and the portal, but I still cannot change user details from within the portal.
    Any other ideas?

  • Extending user details: Label in user Profile

    Hello,
I have followed the document "How to Extend User Details" to add custom properties to user details. However, although it is possible to add labels to the user details iView (which you can access from KM), it does not seem possible to add labels for these properties on the User Profile (which you access through Personalize->User Profile).
I have checked <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?forumID=42&threadID=129068&messageID=1443674">this</a> post, and the answer refers to the User Details iView, not the User Profile maintenance.
    Regards,
    Martin

    Hello Anja,
This is a nice surprise (I remember you from your visit here to SA Breweries).
The labels display fine in the User Details iView, but in Personalise -> User Profile, only the field names show up, the way they have been defined, e.g. expertarea, as opposed to "Expert Area", just as in the screenshots in the How-To Guide. The entries save without a problem.
In other words, the field labels show up just as you defined them in UM Configuration, but you have no ability to change them to proper descriptive texts (as you would with KM property labels).
    Regards,
    Martin

  • Show user details in an iview

    Hi,
Is there an iview that shows the user details of the currently logged on user? I know the profile iview which is available in the context menu of a user.
I'm looking for such an iview, but the difference is that I want to show it on the homepage, right after the user logs on.
Who can help me with this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I expect you don't want to have the profile on the currently logged in user on the homepage?!?!
If this is true, for what are you looking in detail? Maybe something like the component com.sap.netweaver.kmc.people.PeopleDetails?Uri=/ume/users/[...Escaped Unique ID of the User...]
(This is the component being called if you click for example on a users (creator / modifier) name within KM.
If yes, just write some wrapper iView which redirects to this component, calculating the needed URL parameter dynamically.
    Hope it helps

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement   when user logins immediately his details like name and his ip address have to  be stored in log file of server.I have created a par file for fetching user details and updating the log file and added it in default framework page.
When i right click on iview and click preview the log file is getting updated but on logging into portal and on load of framework page log file is not getting updated..Please suggest.
Below is the code how am updating the log file..
    private static Location myLoc = Location.getLocation(ipaddress.class);
    static {
    myLoc.addLog(new FileLog("C:/Logs/TTSL/Anusha.txt"));

Set a debug break point to the entry of the component you have wrote. If you are loading the portal with your stuff inside, does NWDS stops there?

  • Show in a Iview all documents of an user of the whole portal

    Hello everybody,
I want to show in an Iview all documents of an user of the whole portal, not only the documents under his folder /userhome/Personal Documents
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance
    Guillermo.

... and of course I have to add that this can be done with very few programming (but with that - with much more possibilities) by using a redirect "proxy iView", which is described in detail (and is taking just this scenario as one use case among others) on the slides of my TechEd presentation "Implementing Dynamic iView Properties", at least available for TechEd visitors now.
On the other hand, searching for "proxy iView" on SDN will return different results where at least I have described the basic idea.
    Hope it helps, too,

    Hi,
check whether note 1291058 applies for you.
Check whether your Stacks and SPs / Business Packages matched correctly with maintenance optimizer.
Got this error only once while implementing a new portal, it was due to a corrupted deployment, so probably some of the XSS JAVA Components got corrupted.
EDIT: "Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.sap.pct.crm.core.objectlinks.ObjectLinkGenerator" really looks like something with the JAVA deployment went wrong. Java Stack can't find a class definition in PBO... you haven't modified anything with NWDS/NWDI or have you?
    regards, Lukas
