User exit activation

hi all,
im trying to use user exits. how should i activate the user exit. is there anything else i should do to use the user exits. im using a project veda0001 which is already there and active. but only 2 of the exits are active there. i want another exit to be in active state. how can i do that.

Kiran,
Both exists are contained in SAP-enhancement VEDA0001. Use transaction CMOD to go to your existing project.
Then use bullet Enhancement assignment and change and enter the enhancement VEDA0001. Then save the project.
Now you can go to the components, double click on the exit, then double click on the INCLUDE ZX.... part and enter your coding of the exit.
Don't forget to deactivate en activate the project again after you have finished.

User exit activation and deactivation in production server

If I activate project of corresponding user exit and after transporting the request to Production ,
then for deactivating the project will a request is generated or should i login to Production for deactivating the project.

Deactivating the project would again ask for a request so we have to deactivate in development and take it via a transport to production.

Activating User exit

Hi
I need add user exit SDTRM001 to the va01 transaction. I have added some code to this user exit. But when i try to create the sales order, this user exit is not being called. I have checked the code in debugging, before the call to this user exit there is function call to FM 'MODX_FUNCTION_ACTIVE_CHECK' which is cheking the status of this user exit and it is giving the status as not active. What I need to do to make my user exit active.

You attempted to create a program name beginning with ZX but this name range is reserved only for includes of exit function groups (function groups containing only function exits).
If you want to create a program ZXaaabbb, note the following for program type I (Include).
1. The program is an include of the function group Xaaa:
In this case, the INCLUDE ZXaaabbb statement should not be inserted in the main program SAPLXaaa, but in the program ZXaaaZZZ .
2. The program is not an include of the function group Xaaa:
Since the syntax check for includes of this name range searches for the global data in the program LXaaaTOP (not ZXaaaTOP), you may not be able to check the include in isolation (--> check main program).
Procedure
Choose a different program name.

1)That is not Error msg it is just warning - first db click then press enter if there is any msg again press enter off course all these things will happen only your user exit Active.
2)see the import,export and changing parameters if you are new to user exit let us know which user exit you are trying to use.

Issue: When the above user exit is activated (even without additions of custom coding), the MB31 item level free text field is not recorded upon saving. Without the user exit activated, the free text can be saved.
1) Go to MB31.
Enter movement type 101 and order number. Press enter.
2) Enter quantity and click on "adopt + Details" button.
3) Enter free text in the further information text field. Click Save.
4) Display the material document but the entered free text is missing and not recorded.

i am working on an enhancement where in i need to enhance the transactions ME41,42 , ME51n, 52n and ME21n and ME22n.
the requirement is whenever a PR is created/modified (ME51/52) and a business document is attached to it, then the same business document should be available in the RFQ created for this PR as an attachment. and the same flow should happen while creating the PO using the RFQ. I am unable to find a correct user exit for this requirement. kindlyreply me if you have any solutions for it.

How to put bin information to table T_QMAT thru user exit for stock remove?

I have already use stock removal strategy 'F' and checked the flag 'User exit active', but the value in table T_QMAT filled by the standard system not include all vendors. So I need to use stock removal strategy " " and set up the table T_QMAT by the user exit.
Do you know what is the user exit and the ABAP coding to put bin information to table T_QMAT for stock removal?

Hi Chris,
You can use the exit: EXIT_SAPLL03A_005 to populate t_qmat table based on your requirements. As you have already mentioned, it is important to check the flag: User exit active in SPRO, but bear in mind the stock removal strategy has to be BLANK. If you use F, then standard SAP auto-populates the T_QMAT table.

Error for customer specific Authorization check (User Exit)

Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem in PM.
I have created a maintenace plan for calibration via t code IP42 and mentioned the order type PM05. Scheduling is done for the order. I got the order number.
I have released the order and got the inspection lot number.
While entering the results recording through t code QE17, the reluts are out of the specified range, i have given the valuation Rejected, immediately system is giving an error message as below:
"Error for customer specific Authorization check (User Exit)"
Though there is no user exit activated in the system, this message is coming and not allowing the result recoring for rejection.
If I'm entering the result recording within the specified range, then valuation is Accepted and its allowing to save.
I have checked the following user exits:
QQMA0002: QM: Authorization Check for Entry into Notif. Transaction
QQMA0026: PM/SM: Auth. check when accessing notification transaction.
The above 2 User Exits are not active.
I have also checked a note 429066. But it says incase of any dump for that user exit only its applicable and more over the current version of the system is ECC 6.0 packae 15, where as that note is applicable upto 4.6C.
Please some one help me on this issue.

I have cheked with my technical team, There is no hotpacks updated recently. This is the implementaion project I'm in, so performing the cycle for the first time.
Any how I got it solved, in T code QE17, after entering the Inspection lot in next screen goto menu path Settings - User settings - Defects recording mention the reprt type and tick on Reprt type Changable.
At the time of result recording if the valuation is Rejected then it ask for defects recording close that window if not rwequired then save, the error message no longer apperaing now.

User Exit for Put Away for multiple storage type

Hi All ,
we are using the exit EXIT_SAPML03T_002 for doing some capacity calculation and bin selection while doing a put away process in Ware house .
now i want to have two different type of storage types
say
A and B ,
if their are no empty bins in storage type A , then as per storage section search strategy the material should go in B storage type.
Both the storage type has next empty bin search strategy with user exit activated.
The difference between the two storage type is their individual capacity which is maintained in a custom table .
I am facing the problem that the exit is getting triggered only once .
ie. it will check for storage type A if the criteria is not met at a later stage while bin allocation , the system is not triggering the exit for B storage type .
do i need to do all validation and possibilities of not getting placed in storage type A in the exit . or does this exit will trigger for each storage type as per strategy if for any reason the stock is not placed in the previous storage type ?

As i tested for the 561 movement (initial upload) we need to do the put away manually.
So the system will not suggest Full qty to move to one Bulk and partial to different.
But for normal Goods receipt process the goods will be automatically placed to different storage type
based on the search strategy and in the Bulk structure we need to unchek the partial pallet allowed.
If anybody has difference pls revert

How to find weather the user exit is active?

i need to list out all Userexits which are implimented and activated
so that we can do the same changes in other system also. how to do this?
i have checked table MODSAP but i think its giving list of all user exits without checking its active/inactive.

1. Goto table MODATTR with status = 'A' (active). You will have list all active projects.
2. Goto table MODACT with NAME = MODATTR-NAME (for each record from MODATTR). You will have all enhancements for particular project.
3. Goto table MODSAP with NAME = MODACT-MEMBER. You will have all exits for project.

The easiest way, I guess, is by going to transaction SMOD, sticking in your enhancement name and pressing the test button.
When placing breakpoints, don't use <b>Breakpoints > Breakpoint at > Statement...</b> and enter
PERFORM USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT
because you won't get any hits since the function module names are stored dynamically.
Rather use <b>Breakpoints > Breakpoint at > Function Module...</b> and enter
USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT
for a better chance of hitting the breakpoint.

Hi Sergio,
Have you checked that the basis guys have actually plugged in the SAP system. The guys I've been working with have sworn that the portal can connect to SAP but actually they have no connectivity at all. It has meant that my collegue has spent the last 2 days pulling his hair out trying to work out why his code doesn't work and in fact it will never work as the portal cant even see SAP.

Valuation price with user Exit on activity types

Our customer could have different activity cost for different products even if they are processed on the same cost center, same activity type and same activity time. So I wonder whether SAP has valuation price with user Exit on activity types as what on material valuation, when we select "U" in the relevant valuation variant. Could anyone knows advise please?

Hi Walter,
an idea might be to include an ABC template into the costing. ABC tempaltes allow a big degree of freedom in determinin which processes to use and in which quantities. To use the product as a cost driver is certainly not an issue. I doubt that you can directly influence the process 'price' to be applied, but to change the quantity could bring the same result.

User Exit at the time of activity saving

Dear all,
I want to update activity constarints & date based on some logic & want to ensure that at the time of activity saving logic should triggered. I want to use user exit for this.Validation/ substitution is also one option but does not seem feasible. if you know any user exit at the time of activity saving, please share with me.

You requirement is to check the constrain based on scheduling . THere is not user exist I believe that may exaclty address your requirement. THan also check below two user exit.

CNEX0029 Check network release
Ideally yhou should chekc for hte some BAPI for hte network save will help you .
