User field from field catalog - value disappering while record maintenance

Hi,
I have added new field ZPROD_HIEARCHY with data element CRMT_PROD_HIERARCHY for product hiearchy with virtual value as C. I have added the same field in new condition table and then maintained respective access sequence for that condition table. I have maintained the condition maintenance group also. But when i try to maintain the condition record using /SAPCND/GCM - Maintain Conditions for the same using all relavent fields inclusing product hierachy, the product hiearchy is disappering.
Can anybodyhelp on this.

Thank you very much for the answer. Somehow, I forgot to update the UPDKZ indicator. The VBEP table is getting updated with the new dates..I am writing this code in USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP as someother checks also are required to made this.
With the change I haved done, for one sales order before applying the new date, the schedule line date are as follows
Delivery date|ordered qty|rounded qty|Confirmed Qty
01/05/2011   |30               |30               |0
02/02/2011   |0                 |0                 |30
after the changes with the new delivery date for xvbep table, the sales order now showing

Is this resultant values practically correct. I think when we consider standard sap it should contain the values like below I believe. Do you have inputs on this..

If we want to achieve this what could be done.

    I don't understand the error, because the connection between the sql server 2005 and business view manager it's ok, so I can see the content of each selected field on BVM, and I can see the fields in the repository on crystal reports server client, but it say's in the preview:
    failure logon
    Details: cannot find DSN in connection string
    can it be a problem with licenses? I don't think so, because I have samples that the database is loaded from the web and they work fine, is only this abnormal situation.
    I tried to search and they said this:

    this data connection is defined in the business view manager, and I put that user and pass but I always get the same error!
    Have anyone the same problem? or a new ideia? =)

  • Deleting fields from field group in Infoset

    Hi Geeks,
    I have created an infoset query. Based on tables
    VBAK - Sales order header data
    VBAP - Sales order item data
    VBUP - Sales document item status
    VBPA - Parnter function table.
    I created a custom BW data-source in RSO2 based on this infoset query.
    Now I want to delete tables (VBPA) or entries (VBPA-KUNNR) in field groups from infoset query.
    & system is not allowing me to do this saying
    System says "VBPA-KUNNR" is used in queries.
    Can anybody please suggest me any way to change the infoset & inturn datasource created over it.

    Go to SQ02. Enter your infoset. Click on 'Role/User Group Assignment'. Make a note of all the user group that this infoset is assigned to (checkbox is checked means it is assigned to that group).
    Now go to SQ01. In the menu, 'Edit-->Other user group', enter the user group (repeat this process if you have more than one user group assigned) that you determined before. Now you will see all(if any) the queries. Select the query and delete it by clicking the trash can icon.

  • How to correctly merge users folders from one catalog to another?

    Here's the scenario we have right now and would appreciate any guidance:
    Several months ago, in our 11g Test server, we upgraded our 10g production catalog to 11g and have been developing/correcting dashboards in this 11g Test server.
    Now we are ready to go to production with our 11g changes. What is the correct way to merge the catalog so that at the end, I'll have an 11g Production catalog with my updated 11g dashboards but we have the users' personal content from 10g?
    Specifically, my question/concerns are:
    1 - Should I be using 11g Test server catalog as the base and then upgrade current 10g catalog and copy and paste just the /root/users folder into the 11g Test server catalog using Catalog Manager?
    or
    Should I use the upgraded 10g production catalog as the base and then copy and paste in the /root/shared folder from 11g Test server catalog using Catalog manager?
    2 - What about the /root/system folder? Do I keep the 10g upgraded /system folder or the 11g test /system folder?

    Follow this approach,
    1. Upgrade the existing prod catalog to 11g
    2.Open the test catalog in Catalog Manager
    3.Select the shared folder which has the new reports, goto file ->archive and save the archive file
    4.Open the upgraded prod catalog, select the shared folder ->File -> Unarchive and select the saved archived file
    5.Deploy this catalog in dev or test environment and verify the changes.

  • How To Delete a User Folder from the Catalog?

    When logged into the Catalog Manager as the Administrator I am not allowed to delete individual user folders, even when the user has been deleted via the 'Manage Presentation Catalog Groups and Users' link in the front end. If the Administrator user cannot do this, who can? I also can't do it if I log into the Catalog Manager as the specific user (and I also can't change the permissions on that users folder, as that user!).
    Any ideas? Thanks.

    Your second option doesn't work for me. I've got no ability to drill into the individual user folders or change their permissions. The normal padlock button is not next to any of the user folders except the Administrator folder.
    I didn't have the ability to take OBI down so I could try using the Catalog Manager offline, so I deleted the user folders in the file system directly.

  • HOW to copy Form field from one RTF to another RTF

    I have developed 20 reports in BI Publisher which is using xml as data source. So to access the data i have done the xml coding for each form field.
    Now i want to copy the form field from one rtf to another, while doing the copy paste of the form field from one rtf to another it is not copying the xml coding. It is appearing in the new rtf as below

    Can you guys suggest me how to achieve the same. Is there any setting need to be changed so that while do the copy paste the form field it will copy the backend code also.

    make your template set as backward compatabile before you do anything on template. load the xml and then copy the form field. it should work. dont try to open the field without loading xml.

  • How to restrict the user(Schema) from deleting the data from a table

    I have scenario here.
    I want to know how to restrict a user(Schema) from deleting the values from a table created in the same schema.
    Below is the example.
    I have created a table employee in abc schema which has two values.
    EMPLOYEE
    ABC
    XYZ
    In the above scenario the abc user can only fire select query on the EMPLOYEE table.
    SELECT * FROM EMPLOYEE;
    He should not be able to use any other DML commands on that table.
    If he uses then Insufficient privileges error should be thrown.
    Can anyone please help me out on this.

    Once again, it would be simpler, more efficient, more robust and easier to maintain if you just created the table in a different schema, and not give DELETE privileges.

    I just saw the previous response, which makes some additional good points (e.g., a user can always TRUNCATE his own tables). ALso, if user ABC applies a security policy to the table, then user ABC can also remove the policy, so if you really want to prevent user ABC from deleting rows, no matter how hard the user tries, then you need to create the policies in a different schema. If you're creating things in a different schema, then you might as well create the table in a different schema.

  • Stereo Audio Record problem (While recording video as well)

    I just just bought Sony Xperia C3 dual yesterday. I'm having problem with audio recording. I installed the Sony audio recorder from Google play store but while recording in stereo mode with it the gain suddenly drops after 1/2 second(s). Same problem while recording a video with stock camera app as well, video quality is fine but the audio with it is,just worst. Tried third party app like regorge pro but faced the same problem. Tried disabling the AGC with it, but no good. Recording in mono mode just works fine and I get clear record.
    Any solution?

    @uliwooly  This one i recorded today morning. The audio starts good & clear at the begining but just after one second it drops & then you can hear the bus engine sounds like waterfall. It's mono but so clear & sharp.  Finally, as i dont have the mic swith option while recording video, all videos i record will have the same problem. This is definitely not  the typical "sony" thing to carry on.

    I got the message mode by using
    message_mode = typed_context->mail->messagemode.
    got all the options for from address using
    lt_from_addresses[] = typed_context->mail->GT_DEFAULT_FROM_ADDRESSES[].
    got the original email address using
    lr_gdc ?= cl_crm_ui_data_context_srv=>get_instance( ).

    make it invisible, make it inactive, make it display only.
    if the field is not there or not to be seen the user WILL have problems inputting data.
    BUT once the field is there you can NOT prevent that the user fills it with data.
    all you can do is on PAI check if the data the user inputted was good or bad, and clear his inputs, but you can NOT prevent him inputting something.

    successfully convert my windows to web page documents.
    I have sincerely followed the prescribed steps to be adopted in building
    methods for validations and processes, so as to utilise them for my web
    pages too.
    But the problem that I am facing is to obtain values back from the web
    page fields (user entered values) for performing validations.
    Unfortunately the explanations provided in the Forte Web SDK Manual
    for obtaining the values from the web page fields and load it on to the
    source window through LoadParameters() method (a method in the window
    converter class of HTMLWindow project) seems to be inadequate.
    If some one can site the steps that Iam probably missing or some
    examples, it will be of great help.

    But as regards to my application, I have an existing forte application
    which Iam trying to web enable.
    To summarize my problem let me just consider the openning window (logon
    screen) which I have converted to web page using WindowConverter Class
    in the HTMLWindow project (obviously, it is my supplier project). The
    functionality of this window class has to just accept the user name and
    validate it. If the user name is valid then proceed further else
    display an error message. I have a separate validation method for the
    user name, which I can utilise to validate the user name typed by the
    user on the web page, if Iam browsing or on the window, if Iam directly
    running the application.
    The widgets on the window are <UserId> and <ProceedButton> with
    window attribute names as UserId and ProceedButton respectively.

    to pass "dog" up to Forte as a hidden parameter (hiddenParam) (hey, done't
    ask me why!). You can retrieve these values up in Forte in the HandleTag
    method of your scanner service by invoking "FindNameValue" on
    request:HTTPRequest, ie
    firstItem:TextData = request.FindNameValue('junkTxt');
    secondItem:TextData = request.FindNameValue('hiddenParam');
    firstItem now contains the value of "junkTxt" and secondItem contains
    "dog." You can now do whatever you like with these guys, including putting
    them in a ResultSet to be displayed on "nextpage.htm"

  • Field with a default value from another field

    I need to populate a field as the default value from another field that the user inputs. I've tried the scripting that I found from the below Topic in the Archived Forums, but I'm not able to make it work. I've tried numerous variations and still to no avail. I tried to make the scripting work in Acrobat 6 and then decided that maybe I needed to upgrade, so I'm now trying it in Acrobat 8 with no results. Can anyone help?

    I put it in at document level to start, but it didn't run the script automatically when date1 was first filled in, so I have put it in as a mouse exit action in date1 and it works a treat.

    Okay forget what I posted above and lets start over. Go to your first field and under Properties -> Actions Tab -> Select Trigger -> On Blur Run A JavaScript.
    Put this:
    this.getField("myField2").value = event.target.value;
    Make sure that you replace ("myField2") with the actual name of your second field. I just tested this and it works for Acrobat version 6.
    I haven't been doing as much javascripting as I used to, so sometimes I too make some basic mistakes.

  • Remove Value Field from Operating Concern

    Hi all,
    I created a new value field in DEV and assigned it to the corresponding Operating Concern.
    Now, after some discussions, it is not necessary this value field.
    I want to "un-assign" from the Operating Concern they use.
    No data is being posted to this value field and nothing has been transported to QA yet.
    Is this possible? Any ideas?

    I guess you can delete the value field as it was not transported to QA and PRD.
    Here is some information given by SAP.
    Deleting characteristics/value fields from an operating concern
    You can delete characteristics and value fields retrospectively from an operating concern that you have already activated. However, you should only use this deletion function for operating concerns that have not yet been used productively. You should also note that some database systems require the operating concern tables to be converted (database conversion) after the deletion has taken place if data had already been posted to the operating concern. Depending on the data volumes involved, the database conversion can take a matter of seconds or indeed several hours. Moreover, you cannot post data or run reports during the conversion. Due to integration, other applications are also affected when data is postedwith an assignment to profitability segments (such as settlement and direct assignment from FI/MM). If the operating concern has been transported to another system (such as the productive system), then the database conversion must also occur in that target system.
    Depending on the fields that were deleted, the following tables need to be converted (where xxxx = operating concern):
    Characteristics: CE1xxxx, CE2xxxx, CE4xxxx, CE4xxxx_ACCT, CE4xxxx_FLAG, and CE4xxxx_KENC
    Amount fields: CE1xxxx, CE2xxxx and CE3xxxx
    Quantity fields: CE1xxxx, CE2xxxx, CE3xxxx, CE4xxxx, CE4xxxx_ACCT, CE4xxxx_ACCT, CE4xxxx_FLAG, and CE4xxxx_KENC
    Before deleting fields from an operating concern with a large data volume (more that 10 000 records in a table), you should refer to the section "The Database Utility" in the ABAP dictionary documentation. This section describes the database conversion process.
    For database systems that do not require conversion (such as DB2 for AS/400, Informix, MSSQL), it can still take a considerable amount of time for the operating concern to be activated.
    To delete characteristics or value fields, perform the following activities:
    1. Delete the corresponding characteristics and value fields from Customizing in all clients (this includes forms, reports, planning layouts, and so forth). To locate characteristics and value fields, use the appropriate where-used list in the Customizing Monitor. You can access it by choosing Tools -> Analysis -> Check Customizing Settings. You can jump directly from the where-used list to the relevant Customizing transaction and then delete the appropriate field there.
    2. Switch to the screen for maintaining the data structure of an operating concern (Maintain operating concern).
    3. If you need to effect other changes to the datastucture for the operating concern before making any deletions, effect those changes and save the data structure.
    4. In order to be able to select the fields of the data structure, choose Extras -> Characteristics (or Value fields) -> Unlock.
    5. Select the characteristics and value fields to be deleted and remove them from the data structure with the "Reset fields" function.
    6. Reactivate the operating concern. The system starts by checking whether the operating concern contains any data and whether the fields to be deleted are still being used in any Customizing settings.
    7. If none of the fields are still in use, the system then starts the re-activation. If the operating concern does not contain any data or does not require the database system to be converted, the tables are activated. You are then able to activate the environment for the operating concern. In this case, the following activities no longer apply.
    If the operating concern already contains data, a system message tells you that the database needs to be converted. If you proceed, an activation log appears (at the top of the list).
    8. Analyze the activation log. If it only contains error messages telling you to convert the tables, proceed with the next activity.
    You must otherwise remove the cause of the errors before the tables can be converted. In this case, you should answer "No" to the next prompt, which asks whether the conversion transaction should start.
    9. If you still only receive error messages telling you to convert the tables, choose "Back" and start the conversion.
    10. Plan a job for the conversion. A list of the tables to be converted is shown for this. If the tables only contain a small amount of data (less than 10 000 records), then all the tables can be converted in one job. In that case, you can select all the tables.
    For larger tables, conversion should take place in several jobs. However, you should ensure that table CE4xxxx (where xxxx = operating concern) is the last table to be converted.
    Warning. No other changes can be made to the operating concern during the conversion.
    A copy of the table is generated during the conversion. The database system should have sufficient memory available for this copy.
    To schedule conversion as a job, use the "Schedule selections" function. You can display the current status of the conversion by selecting the "Refresh" icon. Tables disappear from the list once they have been converted sucessfully. If a conversion is taking a while, it is also possible to leave the transaction. You can then continue the conversion using DB requests -> Mass processing in one of the following ways:
    With the job overview. You access this by choosing System -> Services -> Jobs.
    Using the database utility transaction. You access this by choosing Utilities -> Database Utility in the ABAP Dictionary menu.
    You can use the status function to call up the status of the operating concern during operating concern maintenance. You need to activate all tables after conversion.
    11. To analyze errors that have occurred during the conversion, you can use the database utility transaction by choosing Extras -> Logs. The log has the same name as the conversion job: TBATG-date. You can also restart the conversion with this transaction.
    For more information on the database utility, choose Help -> Application help while still in the above transaction.
    12. Once you have activated all the tables in the operating concern, generate the operating concern environment from within operating concern maintenance.
    You can then use the operating concern again.
