hi expert
i want know how to create new user in SAP Landscape.

What would be even better would be the ability to lock the mobile page to either portrait or landscape mode. iPhone apps do that, so maybe a webpage can force the browser to do that.

PDF with Portait and Landscape Orientation act differently between pages

Hi,
I have issue when I'm trying to have a landscape orientation in a PDF with another portrait page.
All I want to do is have a small page which indicates instructions on the form because it is a form builder, once the form is created by the user the landscape page gets hidden.
My issue here is that when I set a masterpage to landscape it makes it different to switch between pages.
I can't see more than 1 page at a time, just like it can't show a landscape and portait orientation together in the screen.
I have another form with landscape and portait together and it works fine, but this form doesn't stay normal... There must be something I'm missing...
It is annoying that I can't have more than one page in the screen, once I hit the bottom or the top of the page it switches automatically to the other page.
Please help me on this, I'm trying to figure out what is causing this bug..

I haven't used form builder, but do you still have a viewState, try adding the following line in the docReady event of the form
event.target.viewState = { pageViewLayoutMode:2 };
This has the same effect as setting Enable Scrolling on the View ... Page Display menu.
A value of 1 would give you the single page view.

How can I add text "slides" between photos in a slideshow?

I'm making a presentation to a group. I want to use two or three photos, together, to illustrate a point (and be able to back up and go forward for clarity). But I would like a simple text (white on black background) announcement of what the next topic is, before showing the photos.
I have no idea what such panels/slides would be called, which makes it a little tricky to find them in the missing manual . . . or anywhere else.
Is it possible to do this in iPhoto? Or do I have to create the notices/titles/topics in another program (like Photoshop Elements) first?

If you can create your slide in any text editor, Pages, Word, whatever, all you need to to is type Command+P(to start a print job) , then click on the PDF button in the next window and select Save PDF to iPhoto in the menu that appears.

Does anyone know which FM Object the Constants.FV_SaveFmtBookWithFm property value constant is a property of? I think it's a property of the Doc object, but I'm having trouble finding documentation on how to work with this and/or to confirm this.
I am working on an ExtendScript script to automate the PDF process from DITA/XML files in FrameMaker 11 and following the directions on pg. 11 of the Adobe FrameMaker 10 Scripting Guide (also outlined very nicely on FrameAutomation.com) to get the notification set up. I'm using Constants.FA_Note_PreSaveDoc here, and I can get an alert to display the iparam (=0), the sparam (=..\GettingStarted.fm), and the object type (=object Doc).
So if the notification tells me the object type is Doc when I perform a Save Ditamap As -> Book 11 with fm components (*.book), how do I determine what (in the Doc object) the Constants.FV_SaveFmtBookWithFm property goes to? As far as I can tell, the Doc object contains the first page, followed by the paragraphs, etc. Does the Constants.FV_SaveFmtBookWithFm property value belong to some other object perhaps?

Thanks very much! It sounds like I should try adding the Constants.FA_Note_PreFileType to the switch in my setupNotifications function. I'll try playing around with that first and see if I can make some headway before calling.
When the notification is received, I want my script to copy template files that are either landscape or portrait in orientation into the default directory my ditafm-output.ini file is pointing to for my output files (based on the actual file name of the ditamap being saved as book 11 w/fm components).
Basically, I want to remove user error and have FrameMaker automatically copy the correctly-oriented template files into the default output directory so, for example, when I save my user guide (landscape) I don't let it churn for 40 minutes only to discover I forgot to change the output templates to landscape, and the entire guide (incorrectly) appears in portrait.
I'll see what I can try today/tonight and then will most likely call you tomorrow!

Global DEV/PRD

We are going to implement a complex SAP system which includes:
One Financial ECC (DEV-> QAS -> PRD)
One Manufacturing ECC (DEV->QAS->PRD)
One Sales ECC (1 DEV -> 1 QAS -> multiple PRDs devided by organizations)
Each ECC runs its own proecesses, which means the configuration is not the same for 3 of them.
My question:
1) In this situration, is it necessary to build a global DEV in front of those 3 DEV systems?
2) For sales ECC, system is planned to be devided by organization. My understanding is that Global Rollout is suitalbe for this situration, am I right? Global Rollout methodology supports 1 common DEV with multiple PRD systems? We do not want to build too much DEVs for Sales.
3) We are going to manage Change Request by using SolMan, is it better to setup one maintance project or 3 individual projects for each of them?
4) What is the best way to transfer CRs from Sales DEV to multiple Sales PRDs? Assume the configuration is the same cross Sales PRDs.

The questions you ask are a consulting project each in themselves. Short answers to your questions are as below:
1) For a global template rollout, the standard recommendation is to have a template d-q-p systems feeding several d-q-p user system landscapes. However, depending on your development and change processes - you can build your landscape as per your suggestion without the global dev system.
2) When you say divided, does it mean multi client, or multi system? How are you planning on handling your end to end testing requirements with a single QA and multiple Prods when the two systems are not identical? System refreshes? TDMS? In this scenario, you can have a single dev - but multiple QAs is your need. My suggestion would be build Dev-QA(Multiple)-Consolidation(Template Consolidation)-Prod(Multiple) OR Dev-UnitTest-QA(Multiple)-Prod(Multiple)
3) Its easiest to setup one maintenance project per transport track i.e in your case per production system - though you can setup everything in a single maintenance project.
4) Implement the distibute transports functionality as defined in note 999944.
For supporting this landscape - make sure that you developers and functional configurators know how to use transports efficiently as well as how to maintain versions of programs across multiple prd systems. And best implement Cross System Object Locks to ensure multiple support requirements do not overlap in the development of a single object.

Un-group photos in Places Slideshow

Hello everyone,
I want to create a slideshow with the Places theme. However, it automatically groups pictures in the slideshow and for some pictures it just doesn't look good.
Does anybody know how to disable this or at least change the grouping of the pictures? Ideally, I would like to disable grouping completely.

User view output in IE and the output is in portrait but should be in landscape

No issue create BI template. Completed successfully run in oracle 11.5.10.2 and able to print it out in landscape as expected.. BUT when user click the "view output" button. The IE pop up open the output file. when user either save it or print it, it will save and print in Portrait even the BI template is landscape. Anything I can do to "fix" it so user save and print the output from IE stay in landscape?

First, I would try disabling any Add-ons like Adblock Plus, or NoScript.
Second, possibly try disabling anti-virus
Third, if that didn't do it, I would then Restart FF in Safe Mode, and see if that worked.
Then, re-enable each individually, to see which is causing it.

If you want the ATP check to be performed in SAP APO but triggered from SAP R/3, make sure when
defining the RFC connection of the SAP APO system in SAP R/3 that you use a user ID for the SAP APO
system that was created there as a dialog user.

Rename 600+ users in CUA implemented 3 system landscape

Hello All,
Task ahead :
Rename around 600+ users in my Production system which is my CUA central system as well. I am having a simple 3 system landscape.
Advice on :
What can be the pitfalls for this activity ?
Since CUA is ON, there would not be a Rename Option available any more...so How to proceed with this activity ?
Is there any negative impact for such renaming actions in the system.
Any inputs would be rewarded handsomely...

How do i perfrom the Rename in my central system ? Its OK, i can delete child systems from the centrral CUA and perfrom a rename and then re add it back to CUA...bt my query is how to tackle this issue in central PRD system.
does that means i need to delete the existing CUA altogether and recreate it again after utilising the rename option ?>

New user - why won't some LANDSCAPE format pics open for editing?

Help!! Having just returned to the wonderful world of the Mac after years away on a PC, I'm struggling to edit my photos and successfully comprehend the links between the original jpeg files I'm downloading and the thumbnails onscreen.
I'm reasonably technical, a Photoshop user and don't understand why it is that I can't DOUBLE CLICK on a LANDSCAPE picture and edit it...
For some reason, I can't even edit my landscape photos in iPhoto (which I'm resorting to as in a hurry with a particular project)....
Is there some reason why LANDSCAPE pictures aren't appearing in iPhoto's EDIT window? It only display's portrait pictures - all the landscape pics are replaced with a grey window and an exclaimation mark '!'
The pictures are still there, just WON'T OPEN in edit mode in either iPhoto or Photoshop when I double click them (and yes, I have set the Preferences to default edit in Photoshop).
Can anyone help please?

The important thing to remember is that iPhoto is not just an image viewer. It's a Photo Organiser, that is a database, with a built-in image viewer, lightweight editing and version control. Hence, photos must be imported, it's not enough that they are simply dropped into a folder.
When you import and image into iPhoto, by default (tho you can change this) it is copied into the iPhoto Library Folder at Home/Pictures. The intention is that you will now use iPhoto for managing the files as well as displaying the pics. So once a pic is in iPhoto everything you need to do can be done via the iPhoto Window, including removing pics. In this (the default) scenario, once the photos have been imported to iPhoto you can discard your original files.
Once in iPhoto, anything you do is done on a copy of the File. You can always revert to the Original.
A Note about the iPhoto Library Folder:
In this folder there are various files, which are the Library itself and some ancillary files. Then you have three folders
Originals are the photos as they were downloaded from your camera or scanner.
(ii) Modified contains edited pics, shots that you have cropped, rotated or changed in any way.
This allows the Photos -> Revert to Original command - very useful if you don't like the changes you've made.
(iii) Data holds the thumbnails the the app needs to show you the photos in the iPhoto Window.
The thumbnail points to the most recent version of the pic, and if you want to reach the Original, use the Revert To Original command. This will remove the modified file. If you want to keep the Modified one, duplicate it, then use the Revert... command to create a new version.
The standard warning: It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss
However, there is no real reason to go into the iPhoto Library Folder. If you want to accessa file there are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size.
3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
Only you can decide if you should preservere. It's not that difficult, more a conceptual leap than a huge learning curve. Hopefully the above will help, and if it doesn't, by all means post again.

Like system message i need to pass one hyper link to all the customers in my Landscape system. In System message SM02 it can't possible. only text will come not hyperlink(we need to copy and execute).
Please let me know any other option to pass(we have nearly 500 users for 1 system)

Hi Arpita,
BOE is required to to publish crystal reports to any other portals. If you don't have a BOE, you can build a custom web portal using crystal reports SDK and publish the report there. However BOE makes a lot of things easier.
The whole point is if a crystal report is published to BOE, it can be accessed by a url. These url's can be integrated with SAP EP or any other portal.

How to set-up BO Xcelsius Enterprise in a layered SAP BW landscape

We are implementing BO Xcelsius Enterprise next to an existing SAP Netweaver BW landscape (including SAP BW 7.0).
We want to use the direct Xcelsius-SAP BW connection using the BI Consumers Services from EHP 1.
Currently we're using a 3 system landscape for our SAP BW environment, a development, Test and production server.
A) Could you specify what the best practice is for implementing Xcelsius Enterprise as tool:
Option 1: Only 1 Xcelsius server supporting the whole BI landscape
or
Option 2: set-up 3 Xcelsius servers, one for BW development,
one for the test environment
one for the production environment
And what are the transport possibilities in the 2nd scenario?
B) Also we would like to know how the live-data connection is working when a dahboard user is refreshing the data in the dahboard:
1) is the BW query triggered directly from the Xcelsius Dashboard to the SAP BW server and is the dataflow going directly from the BW server to the Xcelsius Dashboard ?
or
2) is the BW query triggered indirectly from the Xcelsius Dashboard to the SAP BW server via the Xcelsius Enterprise Server and is the dataflow going indirectly from the BW server to the Xcelsius Dashboard via the Xcelsius Enterprise Server ?

KM Scheduler Task - Service user

Dear all,
I created a scheduled task in the NWDS and deployed the par and configured the time table for it. The task is running every minute, so it's all working. Now i'm wondering, is it possible to set the user that executes the task somewhere? like in a service user or so.
I played around a bit in the portalapp.xml and it now looks like:

In the run(..) method, i call an ejb, and in the ejb i print the username that's executing it. Sometimes it says it's executed by Guest (most of the times), and sometimes it says it's executed by Administrator...
What user is used for running the scheduled task? can it be a fixed user, as in "serviceUserX" for example? How do i configure that?

How to provide a same user SU01 for admin and display authority on PFCG

Hello Security Experts,
I am working on a requirement where I have to create a role for user administrator with Display access in PFCG but user should be able to use SU01 to do user administration meaning create , change user ( including role assignments) , delete , lock/unlock user.
First I have maintained S_USER_AGR as ACTVT 03,08,22 / S_USER_AUT as ACTVT 03,08,22 / S_USER_GRP as ACTVT 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 08, 22, 78 / S_USER_PRO as ACTVT 03, 08, 22.
Disabled Objects S_USER_VAL and S_USER_TCD.
While testing the role I got authorization error where my SU53 and trace pointing at missing value in S_USER_AGR as ACTVT 02.
After assigning S_USER_AGR as ACTVT 02 the role assignment is allowed in SU01 however the role change is also enabled from PFCG where my test user is able to get in to the role in edit mode (however he cant do any changes in role or generate the role as I have disabled S_USER_VAL and did not provide 02 on S_USER_PRO ) and save the role. This should not happen as per requirement.
How can I restrict PFCG to display and allow user to assign roles to end users ? Kindly suggest and help.

Run pfcg and try to go to change with your restricted settings then click on the error message to get the table entries in performance assistant. Put those in prgn_cust via sm30.
Then use 22 instead of 02 in newly called object S_USER_SAS.
Make sure you have at least one user with * in that object for full access across the landscape before transporting the table.

Forgot to say - when you have the new object value 22 in your restricted role and assigned to test user prior to moving to PROD the only way to go into change mode is to first go to the USER tab and then press change. Anywhere else and you'll still get the 'you are not authorised' message.
