User interference with CMP transaction (illegal termination of transaction)

Hello.
The error occurs when the method SmsOmniServiceBean.proceedOMNI() calls REMOTELY the method SmsOmniServiceBean.proceedOMNIinternal(). What is important is that the call is a remote call (using JNDI, the home and remote interface) that creates a new transaction (the method proceedOMNIinternal() transaction is defined as "requiresNew" in the ejb-jar.xml). This is done on purpose. If the proceedOMNIinternal() transaction is rolled back, we do not want that the whole transaction is rolled back.
Please note that the calling method proceedOMNI() is execute in a loop inside another method (proceedOMNIAll()), and the exception is thrown at some random point in the loop: sometimes near the middle, sometimes near the end.
Please note also that no entity bean are used in our application, nor in another application deployed on the server, so why "User interference with CMP" ?

I am trying to use direct JDBC call with CMP entity bean within a session
bean method that requires transaction. The problem is that it appears these
are not in the same transaction. When I use the JDBC call, the CMP entity
bean update to the DB has not been committed yet.
We are using Weblogic 5.1 SP6. The DB is Oracle.
What I do for the JDBC is get a new connection from the pool using weblogic
jdbc pool driver.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. You can do JDBC and invoke CMP EJBs and have this all treated
as one transaction, if your hand-written code explicitly starts
a JTS transaction, then uses the jts driver or a TxDataSource to
get the JDBC connection. Then your code can call transactional
EJBs and their work will be included in the transaction you started.
Assuming the bean work went OK, and your manual JDBC went OK, you
can manually commit the UserTransaction at that time. This is 5.1
talk. For 6.0, with @PC, this may be even easier...

Are you calling all the CMP create in the session Bean ? If so, beforeyou
make the JDBC call from the session bean, the CMP in 2. should commit. Try
to set its attribute to TX_REQUIRES_NEW. This way, the calling client will
block until this transaction is done (committed) before the execution
continues. There might be some overhead involved in doing so if you are
anticipating a lot of users.

In a Session bean method -
1. create a new CMP entity bean (a new row in DB table)
2. create another new CMP entity bean that uses previous bean as foreignkey
3. use JDBC to update the row just created
And all these 3 calls have to be in one transaction.

Idoc Error Status 51 - " Transaction was terminated by the user"

hi gurus,
i have a problem with respect to T.code WE02. After i process the billing documents in VF04, i get error status notification in WE02 with Status 51 as " Transaction was terminated by the user". This error is not coming for all billing documents but for only some of the billing documents in that particular list. After reprocessing, the idocs are generating without any errors. what could be the possible reason for the intial error.

Idoc is a data carrier.i may get stuck in the TRFC's .
So after processing it gets pullled.

I need to create a User role with all MM transactions. Can anyone please let me know whether Standard User role is available which has authorisations for all MM transaction codes ? If yes, what is the User role name. If not, what is the easiest way to get a list of all MM transaction codes.

How did you change your user name?
resetpassword wouldn't have done it. If you managed to create a new user, then your data is still in the old account.

Update termination in Transaction ME9F

Hello MM Guru’s,
I would like to inform you that we are observing update termination in transaction ME9F for a particular user repeatedly in production environment.
Error in Functional Module: RV_MESSAGE_UPDATE
Error Message: WHT type Z4 missing in vendor master XXXXXXXX
When I check in vendor master data Indicator for withholding tax type Z4 already maintained.
It was strange why when users execute transaction ME9F the above updates terminate happens in the system.
I got a similar issue earlier where at that time Indicator for withholding tax type not maintained in vendor master data and I have informed business to maintain and re execute the transaction ME9F.
Request you to help me on this issue as I said this is a repeated one which is occurring for a particular user and I need to fix it by taking your valuable input.
Revert back in case you need any information required from my end.

I was asking you about my analysis (2 different users access ME9F for the same PO) done along with ABAPer whether its correct or not.
In your earlier response you have not responded to my analysis instead you are replying me that experts cant access my system.
I very well understand that our Experts cant access my system but they are always helping me for my all issues with their valuable input.
We just wanted to know whether we are deviating from the issue in this case.
I have also checked what other experts like Jurgen/AKPT & Mallinath suggested me and the analysis given below,
To inform experts that we never use custom print program and we are using standard SAPFM06P print program.But the layout is custom according to our business requirement.

was need to come out a report for the user login details. which has to have the date and time of the user login to SAP, with the terminal ID access from and transaction has done. can any one tell me what table it is from? or is there existing report that i can view all this? thanks

you can find the transactions by a particular user from the transaction SM04.
SM04 gives you the details of the users logged in,terminals,transactions the user is working on, the time he has logged in,no of sessions user has opened, and the memory used by the user's programs... all of that w.r.t to the client we login. but we can't get info like date and number of times the user has logged in.
U can see tables:
USR01 User master record (runtime data)
USR02 Logon data
USR03 User address data
USR05 User Master Parameter ID
USR12 User master authorization values
You can also use transaction code ST03N.
1. Go to tx code - ST03N
2. Under "Workload" you can select your "Instance or Total" so that it expands and shows you Days, Week, Month.
3. If you want to look at the transactions executed for a particular day, lets say, then double click on any day.
4. At the bottom left you get "Analysis Views"
5. Select & expand "User and Settlement Statistics"
6. Double click on "User Profile"
7. On the right side of the window you get a list of all the users
8. Double click on a particular user you want to view the details of.
9. The new screen will display the "Transactions/Reports Utilized by User XXX"
If you want to track which users executed a particular transacation then follow this:
10. In "Analysis Views" expand "Transaction Profile"
11. Double click on "Standard"
You can view the list of Transactions and Reports.
12. Double click on the Tx Code or Report you wanna check and it will show the Use of it.

Error "CONVT_NO_NUMBER" while performing user measurement with USMM

Hi,
While running user measurement with USMM I am getting following run
time error.
To be specific - After preselections in USMM->system measurement->while
checking Green Check mark this error is screaming up.
Ae per Note - 1230640 :- You call transaction USMM and want to cancel
the user measurement using the cancel button (red 'X') on the dialog
box of the user measurement. However, the measurement continues and is
completed as if you had chosen the ok button (green check mark).
Above note is applied if the problem comes if we check red button
rather than green check mark.
Please suggest us the best way to procees.

Want Transaction History for Particular Transaction for Particular User. .

Hello Friends,
I have one query.
I want to get detailed Transaction History for Particular Transaction for Particular User_Id for particular Time/Date period, with his/her Terminal ID info ,also.
One USER_ID in SAP Server is shared among 6-7 people to do their work.
So, I want to know that from which terminal that user has run that transaction to do its work on particular Date/time.
I tried STAT, STAD, ST03N, but did not help me very much to get deep level information.
May be, i am missing something to get the solution for this kind of situation.
Any Solution for this kind of Situation ?

ST01 will give you the Result after switching on the TRACE. I want to get Transaction History for a particular DAY/Weeks/Month .
e.g.
One User Id is shared among 6-7 people. One of the person did something using FB08 transaction on last 08/07/2008. But, as the User ID is shared among several User, How can i know the person who did that change and from which place/Terminal.

-> When he did the change for something (means i know the exact date)
But , I want to know ,from which Terminal he/she executed that transaction, as the User ID is shared among several people.

Fast User Switching with Mounted Network Drive?

I have a headless G4 Cube running 10.5.8 with a 2TB firewire drive plugged in for storage accessable to any of my macs here at home. I can access it fine with my 2 desktops over ethernet and wirelessly. Recently we decided to consolidate our 2 desktops into one using the muliple users feature. Seems to work fine, and both accounts can access the shared drive. They are logging in with the cube's admin credentials, and the shared drive is set to ignore permissions. I have the drive set to mount on login with a startup item in the system login items prefs. As long as I logout before switching users, everything is good.
The problem arises with Fast User Switching which we'd love to be able to use. I can't figure out how to connect to the drive in one account without the 2nd account then seeing it as a volume without proper permissions, then that account creates a new volume mount for it (which doesn't work with iTunes properly and seems to cause other wierd issues).
Example: So say 'user1' logs in, mounts the drive 'Jukebox'. everything seems OK so far. 'Jukebox' is on the desktop and iTunes finds the music. Now I fast user switch to 'user2' and there is a 'Jukebox' on the desktop with the red minus icon indicating I don't have permissions to access it. If I then browse the network and mount the drive, I end up with ANOTHER 'Jukebox' on the desktop. BUT iTunes doesn't see it properly. If I look in the /Volumes/ folder with the Terminal, I see a mountpoint for 'Jukebox' (with the owner of 'user1' group 'staff') and now a new mountpoint called 'Jukebox-1' (with the owner of 'user2' group 'staff').
It seems when you mount a AFP drive, it creates the Volume with the current user and staff group, but switching to another user then can't access that when it sees it in the /Volumes folder. You try to mount again and it creates a NEW mountpoint, names it with a '-1' at the end and you can use that (but iTunes cant).
So... how does one use a shared drive that you want on BOTH users desktops with Fast User Switching turned on? Is there a way to have the drive mounted BEFORE either user logs in, such that it will be seen as any other local drive (which doesn't have the issue)??
Or is there some other way I can attach to the network volume in each account on login so both have access to music and videos with full permissions?
I'm really stumped here after 2 hrs of googling, searching here and trying things.

I've not had any luck with the suggestions in the link either.
Here's two other approaches I've tried and failed with:
1. Creating a new share point on the cube itself so that one user can mount it as a different volume. Then the issue is that I still don't have a volume named "Jukebox" available to each user when switching. I DO have access now to the data from both accounts, but under 2 different mount points (volume names) and the xml file for iTunes is hard coded with the path for each mp3 including the "Jukebox" volume name... so no go.
2. Tried figuring out a way I could script a mounting of the share with the terminal thinking I could then run that shell script at startup. Can't seem to get the sytax right. If I create a directory in /Volumes and mount and afp share to it, it takes on the ownership of root/wheel which I can't access in the finder and can't seem to change.
BUT I'll keep playing with both these ideas a bit... the first one might be overcome with a bit of logic and the 2nd if I can get the syntax right to mount the share with afp_mount and give it the correct ownership/permissions such that when a user logs in she/he sees the volume on the desktop and has full r/w access to it.

i also tried updating ekpo directly !

Is it possible to trace unauthorized users? (via ip address or terminal id)

Hi friends
I was wondering if you can help me out with our Logon Securities predicament: We have set up some generic apps ids that are only known to a handful of users. Regular but unauthorized users are trying to sign-on using these generic ids by guessing the password and end up locking them when they exceed sign-on attempts. Is it possible to trace these unauthorized users? (via ip address or terminal id?) (We are on 11.5.10)

We look at the time of the failure from the fnd_unsuccessful_logins and then correlate it with the AppsLocalLogin.jsp entries in the apache access logs. The ip address is in the access_log.
If you have a lot of logon failures combined with a lot of logons it may be tough to find the offending users but it might help you. Most of our users connect via SSO so finding our offenders are relatively easy. Very few users logon with AppsLocalLogin in our environment.

Are you doing a local client copy in a SCM System. I can see it fails & is looking for SCM specific fn modules & user exits.

Standard Screen Element Changes with ECC6.0 in SAP Standard Transactions

We have upgraded our system from 4.7 to ECC6.0. I need documentation on all GUI changes with ECC6.0 for all SAP transactions/modules.
I mean, for example, if Sales Order creation screen (transaction code VA01) in 4.7 have say... 12 tabs, then if it has 13 tabs (standard features I am talking) in ECC6.0. I want these kind of additional chnages done to screens like.. adding new menus in menu bar or buttons on tool bar etc.
As we need to educate our users for all the screen related standard chages by SAP because of upgrade.

Suppose you have Group and user entity. Relation is 1-m. One group many users. When you create user, you dont need to send group id, All you need is create user and add it in collection (cmr-field) in group(user belongs to). Container will add its group id in user entity as well as in db.
