Usermapping problem with federated portals

HI experts,
We r implimenting FPN functionality for SEM (BI- Integrated Planning) .
We have installed portal server for Federated portal
.After installation we have set the ticket evaluation parameter in service provider in Visual admin ..
we have registered producerer as well as consumer in Fedportal .
everything is fine . after that we have creaated 1 role in Fed portal .
we r able to find the role in consumer portal .
now the thing is
we r trying to map the user with backend user from federated portals .. (user from LDAP)
i am unable to save usermapping credentials and getting following error too .... (no SSO for us here )
User attributes successfully modified
Verification of user mapping data for system "SEPCLNT900" failed; check the credentials for mistakes.
Plz help me out from this problem ..
Thanks & Regards,

HI Sandeep
I have gone through the note ...
Still some confusion is there ..
we r facing problems with usermapping ....
we r not creating users by manual .. users from LDAP .
we r getting users fine ..but problem iswe give the user id & pwd after saving that ..it hasn't got saved first to allow usermapping ..
while testing the system object it is working fine
i.e system admin->support -->sapapplication
there we r testing with transaction  ....itz working fine..
what could be the problem
itz working fine in developent server ..
in development no LDAP.
Thanks

  • Assign remote roles with Federated portals

    Hello all,
We're trying to implement a federated Portal network using the <i>"Implementing a Federated Portal Network" in Detail</i> document.
The steps that we have follow successfully are:
    1. Connect to the user repository (Producer and Consumer).
    2. Configure system settings (Producer and Consumer).
    3. Define and Configure producers (consumer).
    4. Set permisions (producer).
Now we want to assign remote roles to local users in <i>User Administration -> Proxy-to-remote Roles option.</i> But <i>Proxy-to-remote Roles</i> tab doesn't appear in the second level navigation...
We are working with EP7 SP10.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance

Maybe a clue: According to the Remote Role assigment question, We have a similar problem using the Remote content copy option.
In the consumer EP, Content Administration -> Portal Content, the Netweaver Content Producers contains the producer connection icon but it's empty. So, the content share can't be done...
    Now... Any idea?
    Thanks!

  • Problem with Enterprise Portal

    Hi SAP gurus,
I am having a peculiar problem with my E-portal.
The system is up and running and when i check through jcmon, all my processes are running OK.
When i go the portal link, the login page also opens(sometimes immediately/sometimes takes a bit of time).
However, when i try to login with any user ID or j2ee_admin/admininstrator,it takes ages.
I have found some errors in /usr/sap/DP1/JC06/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/system/.

I am not quite getting if these are the reasons of the problem.
If anybody has faced this issue, kindly help.
    Regards,
    Santosh Bhat

I did a research of this issue, and I found a know issue on portal 7.0 SP16 that this message throws. The solution on this case is upgrade your system to sp17.
Your exception also say that your string "String processName = request.getParameter("processName");" Already exist before. so maybe this can be caused also for some custom code, this is a pssibility?
jsp_CrashesList1279627480225.java:253: processName is already defined in _jspService(javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest,javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse).
Just to let you know the error of the know issue I referred is exacly:
    The error is:
    com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.jsp.exceptions.CompilingExce
ption: Error while executing the compilation process:
    [D:/usr/sap/HGE/JC04/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/tcmonitoringsys
    teminfo/servlet_jsp/sap/monitoring/work/jsp_CrashesList1222431016884.jav
a:253: processName is already defined in _jspService
    (javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest,javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRes
    ponse)
    #String processName = request.getParameter
    ("processName");
What I can recomend you is:
    1) If you are on SP16, please evaluate upgrade your system to sp17.
    2) Make suren this issue are not caused for any custom code.
    3) try to go to last path level for the componente that are available on Market Place:
Obs: Just remember that Paths is not a a SP level, so has just corrections.
    For Example:
    For EP-PSERV component access:

    SAP NetWeaver and complementary products

  • BW on HANA with Federated Portal?

    Hi Everyone,
We are running BW on HANA 7.3 with an ABAP only installation and we have a separate BW on DB2 instance. The BW on DB2 is linked to our Enterprise Portal and this supports BEx Web Queries and Templates but we would like to now enable Web Reporting (Queries and Templates) from the BW on HANA system.
What options do we have other than installing the JAVA stack on a separate system or upgrading to 7.4?
Can the HANA on BW system be linked to our Enterprise Portal so that it serves as a Federated Portal?
    Thank you in advance.
    Rushil

    Hi Rushil Naik
I remember reading some where that Java single stack and ABAP+JAVA dual stack are not supported by BW7.3 running on HANA.
Also heard about a concept called MCOD(Multiple components in one Data base).
Am not a pure BASIS guy, so cannot give you a concrete answer.

  • Problem with federation

    Hello,
I'm having an issue with federation (it concerns Skype federation, but the problem is more general).
Here is my company infrastructure : I have got a Lync server 2013 providing an enterprise IM and VoIP. This enterprise network is a LAN with domain name "local.itm". So the Lync client register to the Lync Server with their enterprise AD login
and password (login: [email protected] / password: xxxxx).
I want to enable a federation with Skype, so that my user could communicate with a Skype user. I did a PIC provisionning request for my public domain : "it-m.com".
I do not understand how I could link "local.itm" to "it-m.com". Everything is set up but that... When I try to add a user from skype, my Edge server receive the SUBSCRIBE request, but cannot handle it because he does not know what is
this domain "it-m.com" in term of IM. Here are the log output below:
"Text: The domain of the message is not configured and does not appear to belong to a federated partner
    Result-Code: 0xc3e93d79 SIPPROXY_E_EPROUTING_MSG_UNKNOWN_DOMAIN
    SIP-Start-Line: SUBSCRIBE sip:[email protected];transport=tls SIP/2.0
    SIP-Call-ID: 36d3f315004d@pm
    SIP-CSeq: 1 SUBSCRIBE
    Peer: federation.messenger.msn.com:30515
    Data: domain="i-tm.com" "
    "Direction: outgoing;source="local";destination="external edge"
    Peer: federation.messenger.msn.com:30515
    Message-Type: response
    Start-Line: SIP/2.0 504 Server time-out"
I guess I could solve my problem changing my internal AD domain, but it won't be my favourite choice.... Can I do differently ?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Jean,
    Ok couple of things here:
Federation will require an Edge.  An Edge is another Lync role that will sit in your DMZ
You should configure your user  SIP adress to ressemble their email adresse.
So that mean that your main SIP domain in your Lync topology should be it-m.com
So example:  your user should sign in with
    [email protected]
    JP

  • J2ee agent 2.2 configuration problem with Websphere Portal 5.1

    Hi,
I am trying to configure j2ee agent 2.2 with Websphere Portal server.
I have followed the document "Sun Java SystemAccess Manager
PolicyAgent 2.2 Guide for IBM WebSphere Portal Server 5.1.0.2"
Please see the thread "Problem with Sun's SSO system and Websphere Portal Server integration" for environment related information.
Also the security on app server has been enabled and is talking to LDAP.
My aim here is to enable application server (portal server) to autheticate requests.
I am getting following error when I log into the portal application.

From whatever analysis I have done so far, I believe this issue is related to the personal certificate for sun one webserver (on which access manager & LDAP are installed) not registered with the application server (portal server).
I am not sure about the way I go by solving the issue.
Please can anybody help me out.
    Thanks,

  • WLC - Geting Problem with Web Portal

    Hi,
When enable the SSID that associate with web portal for guest user, the WLC found difficult to process and the system halt.Unable to get into the management ip for the WLC.
However after disable that particular SSID, the system operates in well condition.
FYI, we are running under version 5.0. Controller model -Wism.
    Please advice.

I'm not sure if this is it or not, but it's in the release notes.
CSCsm98250-After you upgrade the controller to software release 5.0, web authentication stops working, and you can no longer access the controller through HTTP or a Telnet or SSH session

  • How to integrate PPM 5 with Federated Portal Network

    Hi experts,
If we are using PPM 5 standalone (without portal) and we want to include it into Federated Portal Network, which steps we have to follow to configurate PPM in the Federated Portal. Do we have to install stack java for PPM 5 at portal level or can we have PPM as producer without stack java in the consumer (federated portal).
    Thanks a lot,
    CAMILO URIBE

    Hi Camelo,
For PPM 5.0, you need only abap stack only. For the portal you will need java stack also.
Business packege need to be applied for PPM 5.0 and the necesarry settings need to be done in portal to access PPM through portal.
The federaed or non-fedarated option is for portal only and it will not impact the decison of accessing PPM through portal.

  • Problem with logon Portal

    Dear Experts,
When we are trying to login to portal it is showing the following error.
Errors caused by approach to framework-side: "pcd: portal_content / every_user / general / defaultDesktop / frameworkPages / framework page," The object does not exist or lacks permissions to access the object contact system administrator if this problem persists. Log off.
I cannot logon the portal alt all. Is it any way to logon the portal and solve this logon problem?
    Thanks

    Hi Mahesh,
My problem is one of my college has delete default desktop id* (pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop)* from:
Content/content provided by SAP ->End User content  ->Standard Portal Users and replace that with. pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/com.sap.portal.defaultDesktop
I have the samme id pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/com.sap.portal.defaultDesktop on
    content -> every_user -> standard Portal users
Any idea how can get the default id (pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop) again?

  • Permission problems in Federated Portal Setup

    Hello SDNers,
I am trying to setup Federation between two portals. Both the portals are in the same domain and use the same LDAP user data source.
Both the portals are on NW 7.0 EHP1 SP 05.
I am following the online help and few other links. I have followed all the steps explained.
SSO and trust between portals is properly setup and is validated.
The point where I am stuck at is with the permissions on the producer portal for the "Guest" user.
If I assign Super Admin role to the Guest user in the producer portal, every thing works fine. I can see the roles in Consumer portal for Remote Role Assignment and also I am able to do Remote Delta Links.
However, this is not anticipated. (We cannot assign super admin to Guest user)
If I remove the Super Admin role to the Guest user in the producer portal, every thing breaks - I cannot see the remote roles from Consumer portal, I cannot see any content under Netweaver Content Producers for the given producer.
I have given "Everyone" group - read access to everything below "Portal Content" folder both on producer and consumer portals.
PCD_Service user is assigned the actions Remote_Producer_Write_Access and Remote_Producer_Read_Access in both portals.
    Log says:
    Call failed
    EXCEPTION
SOAP Fault Exception (Actor SAPEPP) com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.soap.exception.SoapFaultHandler] : The User Authentification is not correct to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Bridge or the service was not found.
    My Questions are:
    1. What does Guest user have to do in the whole process - Where it is exactly used ?
    2. How can I give Guest user the required permissions (especially to portal service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.Bridge) ?
    Please suggest.
    Thank You ,
    Raj Kumar

    Thank you for your answers.
    Vaibhav -
I have checked the "End User" option for Everyone group in producer portal.
How do I assign security zones permission to Everyone group ?
Can you please throw some light in that area.
    Dao -
I do not want to use the Guest user any where.
However, internally some how the "Guest" user is being used for communication between producer and consumer.
Also, the Guest user we are talking about is the one on the producer portal (not on consumer)
How can I make use of a different user for FPN purposes and make sure that it has access to all the FPN related services on the producer ?
Once again - to emphasize -
If I assign super admin role to Guest user on producer portal - every thing works fine (RRA and RDL)
If I remove the super admin role to Guest user on producer portal - neither RRA nor RDL will work.
    Kindly suggest.
Thank You once again for your time.

  • Login problem with federated id to Azure Machine Learning

I log into Azure with a federated account ( organization account ).  This works great for all the services I have used so far, but when I try to use the Azure Machine Learning  product, it seems to require a Microsoft Live account.
Is there a way to log into Azure Machine Learning with a federated account?
I am using my personal account to post this since I could not log in with my federated account to fill in the form for the question.
    Thanks

Sorry, at the moment we only support Live IDs. We are working on adding more support for authentication

  • Problem with the portal on 64bit computer(s)

None of the replies fixed the issue but after doing more troubleshooting I am starting to narrow the issue down.  I am going to start a new post with my new findings.
    Hello
Wondering if this is a known issue or not.  I am having troubles with windows 7 x64 machines getting a blank page when getting to the portal.
I can get to it just fine on my 32bit machine but when I login on a 64bit machine the silver light part does not load. I have tried adding the site to both trusted and/or local intranet zones with no change.
If this a known issue is there a work around?

You would need Silverlight for the 64bit browser, which I am not sure even exists. You probably have Silverlight for 32bit browser installed and working fine.

  • Problems with F4 Value Help in NW2004s Portal

    Hello,
we are having some troubles with the F4 ValueHelp Extension from the Advanced BSP Programming book (and the blogs of course).
We've implemented the solution on a 4.7 backend and portal 6.0. No problems there, everything was working fine.
We now moved to erp2005 (WebAS 700) and NW2004s Portal (7.0).
The popup shows and I can select entries from the list. But when clicking the ok icon a javascript error is thrown stating that 'parent.document.getElementById(...)' is null or no object.
I think the problem is, that by making a call to 'parent' we are searching in the portal frame and not the BSP. There (in the portal frame) the element is not known so the error is thrown.
I allready changed from the dialog_ie6.js provided on the BookCD to the one delivered by SAP. Did nothing regarding the error.
I also tried changing ZCL_BSP_M_INPUT_HELP->BUILD_ACCEPT_SELECTION_SCRIPT. I changed all the "parent.document.get..." "to document.get...". The error message was still the same, 'parent.document.getElementById(...)' is null or no object.
So now I'm kind of stuck. If I try the example outside the portal everything works as expected. So this clearly seems to be a problem with the portal integration. All involved BSP-Apps are marked as "supports portal integration".
    Any ideas on this topic?
    Thanks and kind regards,
    Alexander Sperling

I have a working solution to the problem.  It isn't the nicest solution because it will probably require some modifications to the application that hosts the value help, but we will get to that in a second.
I tried many different ways to come up with a solution that would still work via JavaScript. The portal is now loading the popup javascript in the master frame.  It registers event handlers so that if any application triggers a popup internally it "hi-jacks" the event.  So regardless of what I change in the BSP javascript library, it gets overriden by the portal one. The portal also now even enforeces its theme on the inner page in the popup.  Truly the portal takes complete control over the inner html of the popup.
To make things worse the popop has not path to reach the source that triggered it.  The source objects are tracked in the javascript, but because the master frame takes over; the popup window only has access and visibility to the master frame and the navigation frame.  In essence in the DOM it is now higher in the stack than the object that actually triggered it.
Web Dynpro gets around this because it doesn't use any client side mechanisms to communicate it results back to the source frame. Web Dynpro has the luxury of always being stateful and therefore can make certain assumptions that would never work in BSP.  The hi-jacking is an excellent solution for Web Dynpro.  The portal can then override the functionality of Web Dynpro - providing the new functionality of floating the dialog box over the entire portal - without having to make any changes to the Web Dynpro Framework.  However they never had our little BSP solution in bind obviously.
It might be possible to completely rewrite the popup_ie.js and popup_ns.js to use all different event, method and variable names.  This separate version could then provide complete separation from the portal script. However this is just a theory. I'm afraid that I wouldn't have the bandwidth to rewrite the entire script right now so I focused on a quicker solution.
The only approach that I could come up was to follow the Web Dynpro approach and return to the server with the value. To do that I used Portal Eventing.  Portal Eventing allows us to pass a value to the source frame regaurdless of our relative positions in the DOM.
In my inner BSP application for the value help (ZES_VALUEHELP), I made the following change in the model method BUILD_ACCEPT_SEL_SCRIPT_V2.  At line 141 I changed the logic.  Instead of using JavaScript to write the selected value back into the source element, we will just trigger a Portal Event:
****With an InputField we write the contents directly back into the element
          ELSE.
            CONCATENATE me->js_close1
            `portalFireEvent('com.sap','`
            me->element_id
            `',"`
            key
            `");`
             INTO me->js_close1.
            EXIT.
The other change is within the Element handler class for inputHelpV2 - ZCL_ES_BSP_ELMNT_INPUT_HELP_V2.  We need to register the listener for the Portal Event. Therefore in DO_AT_BEGINNING we will add the follwing at line 23 (right after we place the Element Id into the URL Parameters Table.
data: portal_event type ref to cl_portal_event.
      portal_event = cl_portal_event=>factory(
        name = <wa_params>-value
        namespace = 'com.sap' ).
      while m_page_context->element_process( element = portal_event ) = co_element_continue.
      endwhile. "End portalEvent Render
Overally using the portal eventing actually is an intersting approach.  There is only one drawback, now we have a server side event.  That being the case, our application now needs some event logic to process this event and populate the value. Depending upon if you are using MVC, Data Binding, or Flow Logic this could vary - and would have to handled by each application. The nice thing about the old approach was that it all happened via JavaScript on the Frontend and didn't require the application programmer to do anything - that was obviously its weakness as well.

  • Problem with Multiserver setup in LMS4.01

    Hello,
we have a problem with a Multiserver setup in LMS4.01.The devices that should be manged in the slave server stay in unmanaged state.
    Our goal configuation is:
    Server-1   = DCR-Master
    Managed devices = 4200
    Apllications = RME, CM, IPM
    Server-2 = DCR-Slave
Managed devices = 150 (this number is a subset of the 4200 devices on Server-1)
    Applications = DFM + HUM
We created on the master-server a user-defined group with 150 critical devices and we configured a Master-Slave Setup as described in the documentation:
    - Master Server - creating a peer user
    - Slave Server - Creating a system identify user (with the same name/password as the peer user on the master server)
    - Master + Slave Server - Creating certificate on slave + master server and import these certificates to each other
    - Master Server - Enabling DCR-Master mode
    - Slave Server - Enabling DCR-Slave mode
    - Slave Server - Enabling at device allocation settings the functions <Inventory Mgmt>, <Fault Mgmt> and <Performance Mgmt> only
    - Slave Server – Creating policy configuration for device allocation for the user-defined critical device group only
When I create the policy configuration on the slave server I can see all devices in the DCR and I can also see the user-defined group with the critical devices that I created on the master server. So there  shouldn't be a problem with certifiactes or the peer/system identify users.
Now I would expect that I see the 150 imported devices in the slave server in a managed state. But when I check “Inventory> Device Administration> Manage Device State” in the slave server I see all 4200 devices in unmanaged state. And this looks wrong.
    Any ideas about it?
    Thanks + Regards
    Hendrik

    Hi Tomasz,
Nope. No solution from anyone. I had been fighting with it with several SAP Notes but not yet success. I opened a ticket with SAP but no solution yet.
I think it caused by our already existing SSL and integration with federated Portal.
I don't have any system with the same software to compare.
I followed all related notes by the book. My system was upgraded from BW 3.0B to NW04s SR1 SP Stack 10 then new Java add-in installation with usage BI-JAVA & EP SP Stack 10 .
I will conquer this some day- Wish me luck!
    Thanks.

Note that when the producer is OC4J 10.1.3.1.1 then it works fine. The OC4J log file is also not throwing any exception. So, i think some problem with Oracle Portal 10.1.4.
