Username Issues

I initially had my skype account with the username "feverhotsam"
Now, it might be more than a year or two that that account is inactive and of course I forgot its password and recovery options.
As the account is inactive now, shouldn't it be deleted or something from the database so that I can get that name again.
Loads of my friends know me with that screen name and now am suffering hugely as I am unable to contact my friends.
Please help out.

You can reset your password for this account by following this link : https://login.skype.com/account/login-form
Then click on Forgotten your password and provide your e-mail that you have registered your account with.
A password token will arrive to your e-mail which you will click on the link provided and paste your token. Then you will be able to change your password.
Your account is not delete if you remain inactive for some time

Yes, this is the issue. iCloud wouldn't help you in this case, because your contacts are stored on a Google server. You would have to set up your google account on your devices to sync your contacts between them. POP password and username issues

I've had an inconsistent issue with email.
Every once and a while I get a message, while trying to connect and get email, saying that the pop password and username are incorrect. Which they are not. And then my mail will either download right after that, or download a while later.
Has anyone experienced this?

Does this only happen when using Edge to download
mail? Or does it happen with both Edge and WiFi?
If only Edge, I would venture a guess that maybe the
edge network is cutting out and your
username/password gets a bit scrambled. Then later
the Edge network connection is fine and it can get
the mail.
sound like a reasonable explanation. (sort of, drag about getting things all scrambly)
It only happens when I'm using Edge.

Lcr.GET_EXTRA_ATTRIBUTE('username') issue ?

I have implemented extra attribute on the source database and a DML Handler on the target database using :
lcr.add_column('NEW','USER_NAME',lcr.GET_EXTRA_ATTRIBUTE('username'));
Unfortunately the lcr.GET_EXTRA_ATTRIBUTE('username') returns 'SYS' while the transaction on the source database has not been executed by SYS.
Did you experienced the same issue ?

CV02n - UserName Issue

Dear Experts,
When i try to use transaction CV02n to change the document owner and hit the enter key, the user name, Department is not displayed in the right hand side. For some cases, i get the department alone and for some cases i donot see anything on the right side ( Description field for User ). But, everything works fine for others, i.e. the fullname and department gets displayed.
In Document Data Tab of Cv02n transaction
User : EID Full Name , Department
We are getting the authorization screen using SU53. So, i suppose it is not related to authorization issue.
So, could you please let me know if this is related to User Settings or something else.

Hi Pradeep,
The details related to the Department and Fucntion are maintained in the /User profile.
Most of us who use CV02n are able to see the UserName along with the department details. Its just that for one particular EID, we are not able to view the details.
So, we are wondering if this is related to any user settings.

Change Username Issues

I have changed my username following this guide http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1428, but newly installed applications still believe the old home directory exists. Example: virtualbox tries to create new vm in /Users/olduser/ despite the directory being changed to /Users/newuser
Is there anyway to correct this? Are there registry keys similar to Windows that needs to be changed.

How long since the change was made? Due to caching, these things can take quite a while to propagate to the clients. How many total users are involved? If you force web based address book queries only by setting the client policy to websearchonly, does

WRT610N - Incorrect password or unknown username issue

I have had the router hooked up to WD My Book 1TB HD for a few weeks with no issues. Now it is requiring that I manually login to the mapped drive to have access to the HD. Have reset to factory settings and remapped drive, but every time I reboot I receive the "Incorrect password" error message when I try to access the mapped drive. Any thoughts on how I can get the mapped drive to remember the login ID and password? Operating system is Windows XP Home edition.

Thanks, unfortunately it only gave me the id and password. Ultimately I setup new users through the router configuration and synced the user/passwords with Windows login (suggestion I had read about). I was trying to avoid this as the router GUI saves the info to a file on root directory of the NAS. As long as I don't have shared access to the root directory (which I don't intend to) this should be fine.

Apple continues to ask me to create a New Username

I have nearly given up on Apple, and group them right in there with MS & Android. Nearly complete product, but not enough to make me buy again. Why can't software for the masses work properly, but thats another discussion...
Apple ID entered, Create New Username, when I already have one that I couldn't remember.
I've had the same issue with my Apple ID for the past year, as many others here have posted. Now when I wanted to post in this Community Support Arena, I couldn't because I could not get past this "Create new Username" issue. And since I couldn't access the community for help, I had to search elsewhere. Resulting in confirmation of the problem, not solutions for it.
So, something strange happened. While searching/renewing my Apple ID/password (which was a confusing/misleading process). I kept coming across the screen indicating I had multiple email addresses attached to my Apple accounts. One old account had my old/alternate email address. I figured if I can't log on with my current address, then perhaps I should attempt with this old account. Very strange, but when I did this it worked, but it took me to my current user profile, displayed my existing Username and below it displayed my regular email address, which is the current email address I use, and not the one I logged in with. Short term solution of unknown origin.
So when I leave tonight and log off, I don't know which email address to log in with next time, or if I'll be running in circles again. It takes a fair bit to confuse me, but I get tired and frustrated when simple things aren't simple, or simply don't work. Companies that like to pocket profits and produce a flawed product, seem to get away with it. Software just makes me sick. These companies are like Surgeons with their bad beside manners.
Unfortunately, if everyone is equally as bad, they all win.

Apple removed one of one of my last inquiries because it contained unwanted negative attention.
They claimed it contained feedback or feature requests, that it won't capture the attention it deserves, when it actually contained an inquiry to my inability to connect my ipod touch, and complaints against their products. Protectionism at its finest. Perhaps another reason I'm looking for a different brand to support. Maybe I should have noted the lack of spell check inside this forum application. I'm curious to see what they'll do about this little post. Perhaps ban my account which is inaccessable anyway. That's been a source of unnecessary frustration for a year now. Go Apple! when its your time to shine and show professionalism, you push one off a cliff. Nice!

Help! Using "Create" action in insert jsp page vs in submission page.

This is regarding creating a new record using data TAGS:
I'm in a dilemma as to whether I should use the data source tag <jbo:Row id="myrow" datasource="iss_vo1" action="Create">
in my first jsp page ( which accepts input from a user) or in the 2nd jsp page (which does the actual commit).
If I actually create the view record n the first page itself then I get into all kinds of problems if the user decides against saving the record and backs out.[because there is a null hanging record out there]
But if I don't use it, then I am unable to use my LOVs in the html form.
Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

I can't actually see any LOV's on your first page so I am not completely sure that I understand your situation. However if you are talking about using the InputSelectLOV datatag, there is no reason why you cannot use that within a html form, without having to create a record in the RowSet.
The Insert page is by default created without any datasources - just a standard HTML form. The form is submitted and the InsertSubmit page reads the values from the request object, matches the parameter names with your VO attribute names and does your create.
Your LOV data will be coming from another table so doing a Row tag Create on your Insert page won't make any difference to it. Have I misunderstood something here? I have used LOV's on my Insert pages and I definitely have not created a row in the Rowset anywhere but the Submit pages.
There is a problem on both Edit and Insert pages whereby if there are no rows in the table for which you have a datasource defined you can get problems, but it doesn't sound as though that is your problem. Maybe I need some more information from you?

Project Won't Open!

Hi all,
I've been working on a FCP project for the last week, however when I try and open up the file today FCP 6.0 freezes on 36% of the 'reading project' bar. Eventually it comes up with a message that says something like 'the file is newer than the current software version' - which I know is not the case.
In a possibly related issue Photoshop CS2 won't open today either.
A friend mentioned that the QT update to 7.4 has been causing problems, but I'm still running 7.3.1.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for the sudden cause of my problem?
System: Mac Book Pro 2.2GHz running Leopard 10.5.1
Any help here would be appreciated! I'm due to start a big project tomorrow!

I'm having the same issue with 2 projects that I know of.
Both were originally created and finished in 5.1.4. I since upgraded to FCP 6 and had to go back work on those again. While working on those I upgraded to 6.0.1 to resolve some issues and everything went fine from there. I finished the work needed on those.
I've since upgraded my 2 systems (a MacPro and an Air) to Leopard and upgraded FCP to 6.0.2. the Air is using the original username and the MacPro is using a completely different username. I now need to work on one of those two projects again. We'll call that Proj1. I have the original 5.1.4 file and the newer 6.0.1 file. I cannot open either in 6.0.2 using the new username on the Mac Pro. If I login with the old username on the Mac Pro then Proj1 saved in 6.0.1 will open. Same results with Proj2 when I tested that. I took the project files to the Air that is using only the original username and they open fine.
Basically, it's a username issue and very annoying. How can I change the username of the project? I checked the sharing and permissions in the Info screen for all the project files and media and the new username does have read and write access for all of them. I've repaired permissions as well. Still no luck.
EDIT: I'd email the projects, but they're each over 100MB.

Safari Won't Load!?

I don't recall installing anything new or unusual on my computer, but for some unknown reason, Safari will no longer open for me. It bounces onto the dock, and then says, "The application Safari has unexpectedly quit," before it can even open a window. What's wrong and can I fix it?

Please try Safari in a test or other user account, if you do not have one:
Under the Blue Apple>System preferences/Accounts/Login Options use the [+] to add one, you can enter test in all fields (except the short name will be automated by the puter for you) Log out of your user account & in to test.
Does Safari work there ? This will show if this is a username issue or a system wide.

THIS IS A SCAM.
They encourage you to use paypal and often ask you to send the item as a gift to a relative somewhere often Nigeria.
You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.
They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.
They threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.
Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

Forms not opening in sharepoint 2013

Hello all, I will try to give as much detail as I can. First off, everything was working as expected in SharePoint 2007/InfoPath 2010. The problems I am experiencing happened after the upgrade to SP 2013. I created a filler form so
external users could fill out forms and send them in, then we upload them. I know this is not ideal but this was working fine in SP 2007.
Problem: users can upload forms but cannot open them
As site owner I can upload forms and open in the client, my co worker who is also in the same site owner group can upload but cannot open any form in the library, the client opens but not the form. Some of the forms give me an "Access Denied,
see administrator" I click Ok and then the form opens?
I tried publishing the template and there was no change. The form library inherits permissions and no changes occurred to the groups during the upgrade.
I'm not sure where to start my trouble shooting? I went to another machine and could not open the forms in the client so is it a username issue, IE issue? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Hi Daniel, I performed the checks you recommended and my co-worker still cannot open any forms in this particular form library. even when she downloads a copy to her machine and tries to open it with InfoPath, it fails to open.
We have several other form libraries that use similar custom InfoPath forms and do not have a problem? There are 2 major events that have happened since she last opened the form, we upgraded from 2007 to 2013 and consolidated 2 user domains into one.
we used to have 2 user names now we have one.
This issue is not affecting anyone else?

Want to delete cookies addon from computer as it is driving me mad.

Just added latest cookie control offered by firefox and I want to get rid of it because it conflicts with other security on computer. How do I do this?
Tried to use my email address as user name and I was amazed by the response, presumably because it has the word "v i r g i n" in it. I did not intend to insult anyone it is my email address!

You can manage add-ons using the following page:

I'm pretty sure your cookie-related add-on would be in the Extensions category.
As for the username issue, hmmm, you're probably better off because your username is public here.
