Users priv on projects

Hello.
How can I manage user rights to grant privileges only on some projects in designer? Security manager has branch "Instances/projects" in "Users" tab, but I can't understand how should I customise it?

I found the way how I must customise it. I just have to open Designer and Security manager at same time for drag and drop projects.

As far as I know, there is no such information stored in Project Server DB.
You can have this kind of information by project, such as the ProjectModifiedDate in the Reporting DB (MSP_EPMProject_userView). I also know that there is a PROJ_LAST_SAVED date in the Draft DB. But be aware that querying in the Draft DB is not supported
by MS.
Another way would be doing some custom code, storing in a separate DB each save and publish operation per user.

Unable to find MSAD users in the projects- Planning app- Access contol re..

Hello,
I have configured MSAD and I could see all the users and groups. Not just MSAD but also native users
I was able to provision them and also access that application using that user.
But I don't see those user list in Projects ->PLanning app->Access control report or when I choose a member and try to assign access.
Could anyone please tell me where I am going wrong?
Do I have to do anything else to have them appear?

How do I connect multiple users to a project on Sharepoint for collaboration

I have 2 users working in Robohelp 11. I have uploaded a project to SharePoint 2010 and it seems to funtion fine with version control. I would like to connect a second user to that same project on SharePoint so the 2 users can collaborate. However, I don't see any options in Robohelp that allows for a user to connect to an existing project on sharepoint, only to upload a new project. Please help.

On the second PC, go to SharePoint and download the entire project. The easiest way is to open the SharePoint library in Windows Explorer.
Then open the local copy with RoboHelp. That should be all.

Simon,
Goto CMOD and enter * and select F4 so that you will get the list of packages. Most of the clients we have naming terminology with BW. Pick one of them and go for components there you can see the interface.
Double click on that you will see four classes. Select any one of them and write your logic.
If you provide what exactly your are trying to do enhancements, so that will provide better solutions.

How to get list of user connected to project server by day wise

I need to get a report as how many times user is connected to the project server in a week.
I have enabled web analytical reports but its showing only how many times a user is connected to site.I need date also
Project server 2010 version.

What Badal Ratra gave you would be the basis for your query to populate your own table...Project Server does not give you a way to do a daily connect report
One of the ways I would go about doing this would be to run a nightly query to update a table - fill it in with the necessary data and run your report off that newly created table
High Level Steps:
(1) Create a table in the Reporting Database call DailyVisits
(1a) The table would have Name/Date/Connected columns
(1b) You wouldn't need a no answer for connected columns since the answer would always be yes, the result set would ONLY have users who connected for each day. And really you would only need 2 columns since the "connected" column would always
be Yes...
(2) Create a query that would query the published database (msp_resources) for the current day and store the result set in the table DailyVisits
(3) Put this query in a nightly task to append to the DailyVisits table @ 11:55pm (for example)
(4) Let the query run and you'll have only the users who connected for that day - the DailyVisits table would represent users who visited every day.
As long as the query runs nightly you'll have the information you're looking for - the one caveat is that it will only be starting from the day you start running the query.
You could also append the older user (last_connect) information from the resources table from other users to populate the dates but that would only represent a single entry/single last connect date. This "old" information would represent the
base for the table.

Missing user-defined fields (project definition) in project inform. system

Dear PS friends,
I have extended the CI_PROJ structure with some user-defined fields.
I have started report RCNCT001 (to analyze these new fields in the project information system). The include RCNPROJR was generated and contains the new fields (table XXL_DATA). Include RCNSOM00 was generated too. This is described in note 43493.
But Iu2019m still missing the new user-defined fields in the dynamic selection of reports (e.g. CN40).
What else I have to do? We use SAP_APPL : SAPKH60009

User defined fields are activated by configuration using field key
If you added custom fields then check out OSS note 188663 on how to create a CUS view for dynamic selection.

User field in Project def.

Dear All,
I am working on one Yreport which gives STATE/ Location wise output, which we are maintaining in coding mask.
Two characters in coding mask denotes STATE and in same Plant/Site we can have multiple STATE.
Supposing " Minnesota" is a state then in Project def. two character will be "MN".
ABAP team is facing problem fetching this two character from Proj. Def.
Can we have any option like user field at WBS in Project definition level.
Else can you suggest any other option for this requirement.

User Library per Project(2010)

I’ve been playing around with custom user libraries and have created my own folders for certain customizations. I’m now comfortable with the “library…customize” autoload function of the environment, but I think it’s created a new problem. The customization seems to be environment oriented and not project oriented, so when others go to work on their projects, they incorrectly end up with my libraries.
How can I tie a set of user libraries to a project? Is there a work around?
Looking forward to a response, or a push in the right direction.

Harvesting Projects Providing Access to Users for specific projects OER

Hello Everyone,
I am working on OER. I have to implement some requirements as follows:-
1. When I am harvesting the project, all the files of that project are harvested in the OER. I want to harvest in a Specific Project that I have created earlier in OER or with the same Project name that I am harvesting. Is it possible???
2. Suppose I have created a user named Arpit which is assigned User role in OER console. User role is provided access to view,edit,create Project. So Arpit can be able to view,edit,create all the projects in OER. But my requirement is that I want to provide access only to a specific project which are assigned to Arpit. Is it possible in OER?
Please provide any suggestions on above points.

Can you access the PDP section under the server settings and try to open the PDPs (choose the ones associated with the EPTs of the projects)? Is it successful?
Then edit and save them without changing anything to see if it helps.

Project Lite users cannot see Project link on Office365 toolbar

Our Project Lite users do not see the PROJECT link in the Office365 toolbar.
All other roles can see the link - these have either Project Online subscription or Project Pro for Project Online subscription.
I have verified the following:
These users have Project Lite and SharePoint online licenses assigned in the Office365 portal - user license area
We are using Project Server permissions mode - with a custom Team Members group - that maps to the OOB Team Members group and My Task category permissions. There are no custom category permissions set on the Resource- only custom Team group
membership
We even shared the PWA site with the members (Team Members for Project Web App)
We are using ADSynch to synch users to the custom Team Members group via an O365 group.
We are using the default \PWA - it is the only instance of PWA in the Office365 environment (E3 subscription
These users can access the PWA by entering the URL in their browser - they just cannot see the Project link on the 0365 menu bar.
Note: The Office365 SharePoint online administrators have created a custom master page - but the PROJECT menu item is rendering for non-Project Lite licensees.
Any ideas on the cause or how to get Project Lite users to see the PROJECT link on the O365 toolbar?

Please can you confirm they are using the correct URL?
It should be along the lines of https://<Company_Name>.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/
I ask you to check this as I have seen previously users not seeing the Project link when using a different URL.

User exit during project creation

Dear ALL,
I want to know is there any user exit at the time of project Creation ( CJ20N / CJ01). Actually the requirement is the system should restrict the user if the user selects the wrong project profile during the initial screen and not during saving .

Reset user status in project system

dear all
In project system i have maintain the user status in which maintain 4 levels are maintain. my requirement is that when i save 4th level then it will automatically reset to initial level(first level) i dont want to do manually

you can get diffrent issue,
1. data loading issues.
2. change request ofr new reports. suppose you client is haing 10 uniot of measure, and all reports are based on kg now due to business requiremnt they want o use all units in one reports so they may raise a new change rewquest for implementing the same.
3.you may incidents like date convertion issue.
e.g
if a routine has been written without considering leap year then you may get a change request for correcing the routines.

Control User Input - xRPM Project ID

What is the simplest way (that is to say if it can be done only by customizing it's fine !) to control user inputs ?
Indeed, in xRPM, when creating a Proposal, it is possible to enter a project ID with the '-' caracter. This is causing quite a lot of problems with BW. Therefore, we would like to be able to restrict possible values.
Are the following possible solutions :
- implement a regular expression on the field
- modify the BAPI used in xRPM Backend (BAPI_DXPROJECT_CREATE ?)
