Using atv to push bell expressvu through to my tv

Hello. Im trying to avoid running cable to my second tv....which already has an ATV working nicely on it. Is there a way to somehow connect my bell expressvu receiver and push the signal through the ATV?

If you can get an Elgato tuner that can recieve the channels and record them, then it's software would probably be able to convert the recording to AppleTV format, and add it to iTunes for later viewing.
I wonder if you've been looking at the netstream or homerun type products from Elgato.
Even with those if they could accept a cable signal and distribute a selected channel, the distribution would not be compatible with AppleTV 2.
The only way I think they'd solve this would be for there to be a tuner on the network getting the cable signal, which then relayed the video to an iPhone/iPad app which THEN relayed it on to AppleTV using Airplay function - I don't think there's anything that does this currently but haven't specifically looked.
You would also need to check what cable channels you could get as many might be encrypted and not available even to record let alone watch on the network.

Yes use Quicktime. Try to create a presentation that uses a widescreen aspect 1280 x 720 would be good, then export it at full quality which should give you a movie of 720p at 24 fps and should be just fine for the tv, if you have any problems with exporting it this way, you could try manual settings or simply run the export you made at full quality through itunes using advanced/create an Apple tv version.

Mac resets after 1 hour when using ATV

When viewing a movie that is on my Mac via my ATV the Mac resets after 1 hour and I have to physically log in again to continue.
ATV is ethernet connected via a D-Link switch.

Exactly, it only logs out when I use the ATV and It is always 1 hour.
The ATV is connected via ethernet through a D-Link DIR-655 switch so I am wondering if it could be something in the switch settings, (multicast streams?)

Pushing OM data through RHALEINI

Hi Friends,
We are pushing OM data through report RHALEINI. We have one requirement to lock some OM data. For example, there is one posiion which we dnt want to send at one time and our report is scheduled in batch job to send all change data. Is there any way to restrict one position, it can be many poistion or other objects. So we are looking some kind of config/lock option on object, so it should not process by report RHALEINI.

Hi Piyush,
If you are sure about which are the positions to be excluded then just mention those position ids in the exclude numbers tab and create a variant. You can use the same variant so that the position ids what you have given there would be excluded when you do the batch job processing and you need not to give them again and again.

Make a backup of your stuff (from the phone. apps/photos/music/blabla). Update your phone. The phone will restore the backup automatically.

How to use mobile internet in xp system through usb cable

I was using mobile internet on my pc through usb tether. I have a xp system and I connect through use cable. I downloaded PdaNet+ usb tether driver and it was working fine for a couple of days. But now it is not working and I can't even re-install it. Can anyone tell me the other option to install usb tether driver on xp system.

Not possible. The USB connection only allows for data transfer between the computer and the device, it cannot function as a gateway to the Internet.

I don't know - but I am having the same problem and have not had any useful help from Apple Support. Everything they told be to do has been done and it hasn't fixed the problem.

Depeding on your version of iPhoto: On the left (iPhoto 11) or right (earlier versions) of the lower frame of the iPhoto Window you'll see a slider. Drag it left.

What makes you believe that you can't? To set a custom ringtone (or SMS tone) for a contact, go to that contact entry, tap the Edit button in the upper right. You can then edit both ringtones and SMS tones for that contact.

No. You can stream content from iTunes (if it's in a approved format), rent movies (TV shows if you're in the US), view netflix, youtube and podcasts. You can also stream music (ipod app and select 3rd party apps) and videos (youtube and ipod app) from your iphone/itouch.
You would have to connect a computer directly to your TV to do what you're asking.

First, I would try this and see if it applies to your situation:
To use certain services, iTunes must download and install an authentication token on the device. Because iPad and iPod touch do not require an active Internet connection to activate, these tokens may not be downloaded and installed during initial setup.
You can resolve this issue by verifying that iTunes has an active Internet connection. Use the following steps:
Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
Verify that your Mac or PC has an active Internet connection by accessing the iTunes Store in iTunes.
Connect your iPad or iPod touch to your Mac or PC.
After the sync completes, verify you can access YouTube.
Note: iTunes 9.1 or later is required when using iPad.

Error using Disco Viewer 10.1.2 through vpn

We have upgraded Discoverer from release 9.0.4 to 10.1.2.
When using Discoverer Viewer 9.0.4 through a VPN connection (Oracle Application Server is on the other side of the VPN) the browser waits for pages for a while then it displays them correctly.
When using Discoverer Viewer 10.1.2 in the same network configuration the browser displays part of the page (it seems that it tries to display it in an incremental way) then it shows the error page (the classic error page for the browser: "impossible to display the page: the page is not available at the moment....").
When using Viewer 10.1.2 from inside the LAN this error does not occur.
Anyone has an idea?

The problem seems to be related to the release of the browser.
For example with MS IE 6.0.2900 this problem occurs, while with MS IE 6.0.2800 it doesn't.
I understand that this issue is related to timings in communication between browser and application server, but why didn't it occur with 9.0.4 release???

does anyone know how to add a picture to the transitions between Menu and Menu/track to the list of transitions in the inspector?
i am using the marque for my start menu. would like to use my own pictures to transition through between menu and menu and menu and track. any chance i can do that?
i've tried adding the pictures to the transitions folder in DVDSP app support .
and changing the extention. but still can't get it to work.
i'm creating the pictures in photoshop.

Okay. i did go to the menu, and transitions in inspector tab.
for the start picture i picked the Marque (this is a template), then i want to transition into and through a picture i made in Photoshop and then the end image will be the submenu which in this case is the theater interior.
I'd also like to use that same picture to transition from the submenu choices to the different tracks (in this case 4 different tracks).
if i use a picture, and i put that picture into a file i create in Library/application support/DVDSP/cityscape folder (which is what i named the picture AND the folder), and that now comes up in the list of transitions in the inspector in DVDSP after i highlight the menu like you suggested, and i choose the picture for the transition, it seems that i cannot fade from first image to picture and fade back to last image which would be the submenu image.
