Using Crop results in Rescale

I've been trying to crop my project using Modify > Rescale project. I select a smaller size, and then select Crop. I click Next, select the Crop position, click Apply to All Slides, and then click Finish. The result is a rescaled project, not a cropped project. What am I doing wrong?
I'm using Captivate 5.5 on 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise, Service Pack 1. My computer has 4 GB of RAM. I have run Captivate in Administrator mode, and with Windows XP compatibility. Nothing seems to work.

The result is Rescaled, not cropped.

I tried 2 tests at my end with Adobe Captivate 5.5
1> Created a project of just 2 slides and used image on both of them. Crop using Rescale Project option --> Success
2> Did Autoamtic recording and got 2 slides. Crop -->> Success
You have tried the 2nd step, try the first one as well. However I would recommend you to Run Captivate as Run as Admin.
After trying the above steps if you still face the same issue, then recreate the Adobe Captivate Preference file as if it seems to Adobe Captivate 5.5 Specific issue.

How can i use cropping in imovie 11 on the clips that i cut away with and still put it in HD

I do have one problem dealing with the videos I make in my iMovie 11: I want to set my videos to HD using Quicktime. I already know how to do that. But, the problem is that I use cropping and ken burn effects on my vids when I use cutaway (a really major problem since I use this most frequently in my videos), picture-in-picture, and side-by-side. After I exported my vids to Quicktime, I wanted to look at them. But, for some reason when I was watching my iMovie videos on Quicktime, it included every little bit of my clips. It didn't crop the clips at all. It showed everything. I'm kind of upset about this because I have projects due this month and I really didn't want part of some clips to show. I really needed them cropped and/or ken-burned. Plus, I need to set them on HD.
Whenever I played it back in the iMovie preview, my videos played exactly as I wanted it to play. The cutaway clips, picture-in-picture clips, and the side-by-side clips were cropped and ken-burned just as I wanted it to be. But, on my Quicktime, it didn't do the same.
Here's the procedure that I use to export my videos:
Step 1: I finish making my video with the cutaway clips, picture-in-picture clips, and side-by-side clips already cropped and/or ken-burned.
Step 2: I click on "Share." Then, I click on "Export using Quicktime."
Step 3: I click on "Options."
Step 4: I click on "Settings." Then, I make sure the Compression Type is H.264, Frame Rate is Current fps, Key Frames is on Every 24 frames, Frame Reordering is checked, Compressor Quality is on Best, Encoding is on Best Quality (Multi-pass), and the Data Rate is on Automatic. After this is done, I click "OK."
Step 5: I click on "Size." I make sure the Dimensions is on 1920 x 1080 HD (mainly because I really need it in HD for doing projects for school and uploading other videos to Youtube, Dailymotion, and other sites). I also click on Preserve aspect ratio using: Letterbox. Then, I click "OK."
Step 6: After I set the settings for Sound, I make sure that Prepare for Internet Streaming is on Fast Start. Then, I press "OK."
Step 7: I save my file name and export to Quicktime.
Step 8: Once it already exports to Quicktime, I open the file and look at my video that I just made. (At this point, I realized that my videos that were used as cutaways, picture-in-pictures, and side-by-side clips didn't show the parts I cropped or ken-burned on. It practically showed every little part of that clip that I use those effects on. I really wanted it to be cropped or ken-burned as much as possible.)
So, that's my problem that I have at the moment. I really needed it cropped and/or ken-burned and set the video on HD. I would really appreciate your thoughts on how I should fix this problem.

Dialog prompt and check if file exists, and use the result of dialog

I have this working script and I want to change the way it behaves.
I want a dialog to come up, Do you want to skip or replace existing files.
Then the result of the dialog to be used in the reast of the script.

Please can someone assist.
I have a bex query - 1 structure only in my columns
I have my data in rows broken down by calendar year.
What I need to be able to do is to use the result in calendar year 2008 and sum it in calendar year 2009.

My last column needs to be Entitlement which should be the carry over of 2012 + carry over of 2013 = 31 - which should be my entitlement for 2013.

You may try with Cell definitions concept by introducing a "Calyear structure" in rows and define 2013 cell accordingly. Rest all cells other than in Entitle ment KF take the definitions of their respective CKFs/RKFs. Leave all cells blank other than 2013 in Entitlement KF.
Remove Calyear infoobject which is there currently in rows pane and then create a structure in place of it. Every year, you will need to enhance the Calyear structure and make the cell definitions accordingly as per your business requirement.

Using the result of a jms webservice

When I have deployed my simple HelloWorld webservice, I obviously want to write
a client. I chose to write a dynamic client, which works fine(almost!). Only one
problem, in the programming guide that comes with weblogic they only mention how
to call system.out.println on the result(see quote below). But that's not what
I want to do, I want to use the result, but how? From what I can see the resulting
object is just a java.lang.Object. How should I cast it, and to what? The soap
xml says:

The question is, what is it that I'm receiving and how can I find that out dynamically.
This is the code I'm using:

I noticed in your examples you posted in your reply that none of the examples
are using queues. Can you confirm that there is a bug when using queues? It gives
NullPointerException in the Servlet and FileNotFoundException on the client when
trying to access the result queue to read the response of my asynchronous webservice.

I have some clips that are off axis and I applied a bit of tilt to correct them. However, I now need to crop the sides giving me a 1.66:1 effect inside the 1.85:1 frame. But how/ Using CROP in Premiere Pro just crops the image off axis. Here is a screen grab...

Using the result of a subselect in another part of the select

Does anyone know if 9i can use the results of a subselect in a select in another part of the select. For example:
select x, (select y from sometable) as ssvar, z, (select abc from someothertable where somecolumn=ssvar) from yetanothertable
Anyone? We have a bunch of Sybase queries we are porting over and they use this extensively. It looks like the 9i docs say this may not be possible, but I really wanted to be sure before I rewrite the queries.

From your example, an inline view seems most appropriate to me...
select max_table.table_name, column_name

select max(table_name) as table_name

where max_table.table_name = user_tab_columns.table_name
However, if your actual usage is more complicated, you might want to look at 'subquery factoring' (new in 9i). It doesn't really do much good for this example but here's the syntax...

from max_table, user_tab_columns
where user_tab_columns.table_name = max_table.table_name

Hi Mariana,
You can change local structures into reusable structures in any existing query by selecting the structure and, choosing Save as... from the context menu and then entering a technical name and a description in the Save Structure as... dialog box.
You can change reusable structures that you are using in a query into local structures by selecting the structure and choosing Remove Reference from the context menu.

Using the result of a function, inside a subselect

I´m wondering if it´s possible to use the result of a function inside a subselect. Let me give you an example of what I´m trying to do here:
select * from t_node where node_pk in (get_node_parents_pk(22345));
The function get_node_parents_pk stands in for the following SELECT-statment:
select node_pk from t_node_child where parent_node_pk = 12345
The statement above would return something like this: 12435,23423,23453,23452
These values represent the node_pk value for the parent nodes.
I want the get_node_parents_pk function to return a result set similar to this so that I might call it inside the IN ( ) statement.
Any clue? =)

I created a collection type in the database:

The function get_node_parents_pk () is made to return the collection type above. However, this does not work. I get the following error message:

I didn't read the link, but there are two ways to use query
results in other queries. At least two that I know about.
One is to use valuelists. Since your link was for Cold Fusion
5, that's probably what they mentioned.
The other is with Query of Queries.
You do it in a component the same way you do it in a
template.

Using the result of 1st report to 2 nd report

I have created one report with 5 Dataproviders.
I want to create another report by using the result of 2nd dataprovider of thr 1st report.
Is it possible in BO XI R2 Desktop intelligence?

Hi Indu,
If I understand you correctly, you want to create the query once but run mulitple reports of it. Is it okay if the reports are in tabs within the same document or do they have to be in separate documents?
If the later it is not really possible. There are a few options
It is possible to use a query create in QaaWS, but there is no schedule option around this, so every call is on demand.
Also you can create instances of reports using Web Intelligence/Crystal Reports and have more that one Live Office document/Xcelsius dashboard point to the instance. In this event you are runnig the query once and using the displaying it in different reports.
Finally, if you just want to reuse a query from one report to another then you can copy and paste the report and change the report layout.

Performing calculations on characteristics, using the results as query rows

I want to perform a calculation on 2 date fields (find the number of years separating the dates). These 2 date fields are characteristics. I want to use the result field as a row in the query. How to do this?
Do I have to use a calculated key figure and then converted that key figure into a characteristic to use in a row?

How to use a result adapter ????

Hi all,
I try to use a result adapter. I use the result adapter wich is in the walkthrough of this marvelous documentation :-(
I just make some adaptations,very simple, but nothing work, the result is always an empty page.
If someone could give me a simple sample of adaper result, I will be very happy.
