Weird WebUtil Error.

I am attempting to test WebUtil "client_host" on an HP-UX 9iAS install. I have created a form that has a command line that I can enter the command I want to run and a button to run it. I have sucessfully tested this form on both a Windows 9iDS and 9iAS installs (No problems, runs the command as expected). When I run this same form off of the HP-UX 9iAS I get the following error:
FRM-40735: WHEN-CUSTOM-ITEM-EVENT trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-06508.
I get this error when the form starts up. When I enter my command and attempt to run it I get the following error:
FRM-40735: WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger raised unhandled excpetion ORA-06508.
I get no WUC-(whatever) error codes and my command does not run. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Steve.

Here is the entire console log contents from the time I start the app to when I attempt to run my command (in this case - notepad.exe):

  • Webutil error while generate excel form

    Hi
    In my forms appl. I use webutil in order to generate excel reports
    I have to midtier instances both running on a separate host.
    End users connect through a WLB frontend.
    At one of the midtiers, when generating a excel report using webutil "error while running kit"
    No errors appear in any log on the midtier. On a log table in the database ORA-12703 appears but I'm not sure if thats related.
    On the other midtier, with the same compiled forms using the same database it works fine.
    Does anyone have a clue?
    reg.

    Hi
    Are you talking about adobe forms or smartforms. These are 2 different types of forms. For Adobe forms you need an ADS which sits on the java stack and needs to be configured properly. Some services need to be activated in SICF for the configuration as well. A conplete guide on how to configure the ADS is found on the following link
    [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/adobe?rid=/webcontent/uuid/90355269-4d89-2a10-0bb9-f388704f1dcd]

  • WUT-125 Webutil Error happens occasionally....

    Hello,
    We are currently running OAS 10g (10.1.2) ti deliver a web-based Forms application to our users (some are onsite and some off-site).
    We use the WEBUTIL file transfer function CLIENT_TO_AS_WITH_PROGRESS to allow the users to upload their work (they are illustrators) tot he server, to be added to their image library.
    Occasionally, and almost always offsite and therefore outside our firewall, we get the following error (please note I have replaced the URL value for anonymity):

    As said, it is a sporadic problem but then seems to persist for certain files.
    I should also note that the directory /data is actually a linked folder on the UNIX box pointing to an area on a Windows file server.
    This process works more often than not but around 5% are getting this error and thus stopping certain users being able to complete their work...
    We've tried to trap this error via the WEBUTIL error log but the errors are not being logged there.
    Very odd and head scratching time, thus... help?
    Cheers

    hi
    u have to sign jars something like this.
    o C:\cd <Developer Home>\jdk\bin
    o C:\<Developer Home>\jdk\bin>
    <Developer Home>\forms90\webutil\sign_webutil.bat
    <Developer Home>\forms90\java\frmwebutil.jarand also u have to modify Default.env. something like this.
    In a new line under (FORMS90_PATH=) add this line:
    o WEBUTIL_CONFIG=<Developer Home>\forms90\server\webutil.cfg
    when i signed the jars so i got the result something like this in java folder.
    jacob.jar.old
    hope it helps u.

  • Webutil error - Haven't found this one posted

    I am having a webutil error that is very difficult to diagnose.
    I am running the wu_test_106 demo from oracle. The Client Info tab works, and the 'Files in user.home' button works in the Files tab.
    However, the client_get_file_name call (the ... button on the Builtins tab) does not work (and won't work in my own form).
    There are no errors on the application server, no errors come up in the form, and no errors show in the Java console.
    When you click this button that makes the client_get_file_name call, the form locks up. No other action is apparent. You have to manually kill the process just to close the form.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    When posting please be sure to include details so that we can assist. This is the same if you contact Support. Far more information is needed in order for anyone to be able to assist. For example here are just a few questions which need answers:
    o What is the COMPLETE Forms version you are using? This can be found in the Java Console when running a form (assuming the form starts). Do not simply say "10g" or "9i". These are not product versions - these are product names.
    o What is the COMPLETE WebUtil version you are using? This can be found in the Java Console when running a form (assuming the form starts).
    o What is the client platform and version?
    o Which browser and version is used on the client machine?
    o Which JRE and version is used to run the form (+e.g. Oracle Jinitiator 1.3.1.30, Sun JRE 1.5.0_17+)?

  • Really weird quicktime error - showing stuff beneath it?

    I'm getting a really weird quicktime error like something I've never seen before. It's been happening for a few weeks now I guess, but I don't recall quite when it began.
    Basically, almost any video I open in it ends up splicing into fragments. The audio works fine, but the video shows part of the video, then part of the windows behind it, then the desktop, then the video, and cycling back again and splicing through.
    I'm up to date on everything and I ran disk permissions and I can't figure out what's going on. It's definitely quicktime though - it's affecting my iTunes and my Finder video previews as well, across a whole range of codecs. It doesn't affect VLC or mPlayer.
    Any idea what to do?

    A&I reinstalls the OS over the existing OS (to the version on your install DVD that came with the MacBook) but leaves user files and installed applications intact. You should still do a clone on an external drive first though. Or at least backup all your data files.
    After A&I you then use the downloadable combo updater for OSX and the latest QT for QT, and then after reboot repair permissions. You can then run Software Update for the other updates like iLife etc.
    If your install DVD was for 10.4.X and you are not on 10.5 then don't use the original DVD use the 10.5 retail disk instead.

    Today I tried to test again the form, and I got an error when the form is opening, I review the log and I find "unable to communicate with runtime process.".....
    I didn't change any configuration... what I'm doing wrong..... It just work great yesterday!!!!

  • Weird CS4 error when saving eps files on a Mac: "...specified files already exist in the target location"

    Hi There,
    All 3 workstations in our studio are experiencing weird file behavior when re-saving eps files from Illustrator.
    Basically Illustrator creates a new file in addition to the original and adds a "-01.eps" onto the file name. If you re-save your original, Illustrator brings up a dialogue box that states:
    Some of the specified files already exist in the target location. The files marked below will be replaced:
    filename.eps
    filename-01.eps
    We've been deleting the "-01.eps" files each time but it's becoming tedious. The behaviour occurs when re-saving an eps file to a server or the desktop.
    All machines are new Quad-core MacPros running:
    - Leopard 10.5.8
    - Illustrator CS4 14.0.0
    We've checked for Illustrator updates from within Illustrator but we seem to be running the latest version.
    Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
    Any help or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Ben

    Thanks for the reply.
    The error occurs when we save the document but if we choose save as, "Use Artboards" seems to be unchecked so not sure if this issue is related or not. Will re-save the document using save as then see if the issue persists.
    Why do we still use eps?
    Basically because we've found it to be much more compatible. Our entire logo library is in eps format (18 years worth) partly because it was previously the only format to use and partly because it allows account managers to send logos to clients, printers, TV stations etc and not involve the studio (saving out an eps version).
    Although "Create PDF compatible file" is a good idea, we've encountered costly issues with colours and images - especially if the recipient is using old CS software, non-Adobe software or is using some kind of hardware RIP. We now just go with what we know works.
    But I do find saving eps versions of everything to be a bit painful. In fact, I've always found Illustrator in general to be a bit painful when compared with Photoshop or AfterEffects. Illustrator seems like it's been developed by a different company some times!
    Cheers, and thanks for the help.

  • WebUtil Error

    I have Form that I have been running on my computer using the Developer suite. I recently added the Webutil library to try and access the local machine. This worked on my own machine when testing. Then I copied the files over to our AppServer, and when I run the program from my computer I get this error when I call "client_host('cmd');" from a button:
    WUC-015: Your Form must contain the following Bean for this
    function to be available:
    oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host
    I have the exact same config file on the Appserver as my own machine. Anyone know where I can start to look for the problem??

    webUtilArchive=/forms90/webutil/webutil.jar,/forms90/webutil/jacob.jar
    This is what is in my config file on the appserver. And I think this is causing the problem... The log is as follows:
    (let me point out that I did not make any changes to the orion-web.xml file like I did in my DS box. I could not find the correct file to make changes to on the AS box. I did a search and there are about 20 of them, which one do you change?).

  • WebUtil Error Bean Not Found

    Dear All,
    i am facing a problem of running webutil functions. I have compiled my webutil.pll and then attach to my form and then i copy the webtuil.olb objects into my
    form and i created one button on my form to show the calculator the code is as follows
    Note: i have webutil.cfg in my classpath of default.env file and i signed both webtuil.jar and jacob.jar successfully but still i am facing error.
    e.g;
    when-button-press
    webutil_host.host('calc.exe');
    error: oracle.forms.webutil.host HOST bean not found.
    WEBUTIL_HOST.execute will not work.
    Thanks.
    Immediate help will be appreciated....

    Hi,
    Have you entered the webutil values in the formsweb.cfg file?
    e.g. WebUtilConfig=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutil.cfg
    WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
    WebUtilErrorMode=Alert
    WebUtilConfig=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutil.cfg
    baseHTMLjinitiator=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutiljini.htm
    baseHTMLjpi=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutiljpi.htm
    baseHTML=<somewhere>\WebUtil\server\webutilbase.htm
    Hopefully this may help you.

  • Webutil error in forms

    Hi,
    I am using client_host to navigate to the URL on the browser and freeze the form while working on the url and when we close the browser then we should be able to work on the form, for this I used client_host
    client_host('C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.EXE http://www.google.com');
    I attached webutil.pll library and even I added webutil object group and subclass it to my form. still getting the following error
    oracle.forms.webutil.host.Host bean not found. webutil_host.Execute will not work
    Is there anything I need to change in configuration file or any of the functions code in webutil pl/sql library? Please let me know I need it immediately.

    First, review this: http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2007/03/02
    Any time you get a bean not found error, it will be caused when one of two things is true:
    1. The bean is not in or correctly in the form
    2. The necessary jar files are not being downloaded to the client (in this case frmwebutil.jar).
    So, do the following in exactly the order shown:
    1. Close ALL open browsers
    2. Open your form in the Builder
    3. With the form (Module) selected in the Object Navigator, press Ctrl+Shift+K (this will execute a compile_all)
    4. Save the form (Ctrl+S)
    5. Generate a new fmx by pressing Ctrl+T (Be sure that you have also generated a webutil.plx file before running)
    6. Run the form manually in a browser. Do not use the Builder's "Run form" button. For example, the url will look something like this (use your machine name and port):
    http://mymachine:port/forms/frmservlet?form=myForm&config=webutil
    Notice the config=webutil at the end. This will cause the form to run using the default WebUtil configuration we (Oracle) provide in the formsweb.cfg.

    gimbal2 wrote:
    That link seems to deal with a bug relating to a one to many mapping. I don't see anywhere in your post that you are dealing with the same thing.
    Actually i am using Many to One mapping as you can see from the code excerpt
    BcsPort
    @ManyToOne(optional=false, cascade=CascadeType.ALL, fetch=FetchType.EAGER)
         @JoinColumn(name="ne",referencedColumnName="ne")
         private BcsNe bcsNe;Why i posted the link was that it seems to throw the same weird column exception that i got and more googling revelead that it was indeed some issue between the way the oracle varchar2 field is being handled by openjpa.
    so just needed to confirm if this was a widely faced issue and a possible fix to the same
    Is there a particular reason why you are using openjpaActually it's been added recenlty to the system as before it was using normal JDBC Code...
    In stead of the persistence provider shipped with your JEE container anyway?Do you mean that i should use the Oracle Weblogic 10.3 persistence provider...?
    kindly suggest...
    thanks
