Using crystalreportviewer without session

Hi,
This is regarding the web reporting using Crystal Report for Eclipse.
In our project we do not use session in Jsp as the web app will be deployed in clustered environment. But the Html output fails when the session in Jsp page is set to false.
Is there any work around to use crystalreportviewer without session?
Please help me on this.

Hi It sounds like you want to create your reports with Crsytal Reports XI Release 2, but you want to view them in an ASP.NET page. You don't want to use the VS 2005 to design your reports because the standard one is better. I hope I got this right.To use the CrystalReportViewer in .NET you don't need to create your reports with VS 2005, but it will be very hard to view them over the web without VS 2005. The CrystalReportViewer object is required to view the reports over the web using asp.net. So I'm not exactly sure if you don't want to use VS2005 to create your application or if you just don't want to use it to create the Reports.To add reports to your applicaton just put them in the application folder and call them from your application using the CrystalReportsViewer. This is essentially paulbruster's answer, but I've added the steps some might assume, but which aren't so obvious to those of us who are new at this, like me.
This solution might ''appear'' to be long and complicated, but after you follow the directions once, you'll find it's quick, clean, and simple. Almost like they designed it this way.

SM35P - Logs without sessions

Dear All,
In SM35P (Batch Input - Log Overview), there are two options,
1. Logs with session
2. Logs without session
To my understanding, Session will be created with BDC (Session method). Please explain me what is meant by "Logs without session" & in what scenarios, these will be used & so on. Please throw some light on this query.

Not sure how to use RSTS0030 - there appears to be no way to select individual entries once the list has been displayed, and clicking 'delete selected' doesn't do anything...
However, we have managed to clear these by doing the following:
Go to the "Logs without sessions" tab. Double click on each item and make a note of the TemSe ID.
Now open a new session (don't close this one) and run transaction SP12. Select Goto-> TemSe contents from the menu and enter the TemSe ID from before. Make sure that the date is set to a valid date. Click 'list objects'. Select the object and click 'delete'.
Now go back to your SM35 screen. Come back out so you are on the 'logs without sessions' tab then right click and choose to APQL consistency. It might take quite a long while to bring up.
Search for the TemSe ID(s) in the list, click the tick box for each one, and then delete selections.
Go back and they should have gone (may need to refresh).

Looking for advise if one can use operation system commands using TSQL without enabling xp_cmdshell.
actually using xp_cmdshell requires sysadmin privs which I am unable to provide (directly or using proc) to a user but the user needs some operating system commands to execute for file manipulation from sql server session. Please share your thought.

Using Auditon 3 Session Files in Audition 1.5

Am using version 3 and I want to re-install my 1.5 version again.
My question is : can I use the session files I have made in Audition 3 when I re-enstall version 1.5.
When I installed ver.3 it automaticlly changed all my version 1.5 session file over to 3.
If any one knows how I can go back to ver.1 without loosing the session files I would really appreciate the info.

The problem I have is when I try to open a session file in AA1.5 it opens a window that reads: Some waveform clips were not loaded in the session because they were higher track numbers not supported by this version of audition.
Really hope I can get these loaded or get them transformed back to a file that will open again. Really don't like AA3 at all.

Installing version 3 won't automatically change your AA1.5 sessions to v3. The only way they will change is if you open your AA1.5 sessions in AA3 and then save them again.
Most applications will not allow earlier versions to open later versions as things will have changed that the earlier version is unaware of.
Audition is the same and AA1.5 cannot successfully open AA3 sessions. The only product which may be of assistance is http://www.aatranslator.com.au
Download the demo and see if it suits your needs but be aware that many things such as fx, plug-ins, midi, eq etc are not candidates for conversion.

depend on the document program more then anything else really
when ever I open a doc with word it make a history for undo and redo action file in the same dir
with bootcamp you only have read not write access to the osx partition so it would fail to be able to create that file
but if you can get word or whatever program you use to open the file not to place a temp file in the same dir
or use a program which did not make any type of temp file or used a program where the temp file would be located elsewhere where you decide it would work file

How to open a URL without session ID and reuse the current browser session?
That was the behaviour in HTMLDB 1.6 ...
My usecase for this is the following:
We have written an issue tracking application, which sends e-mail to the interested users, when something happens.
In these email we've put a link to some page, with some parameters in the URL.
The idea is for the user to be easy to click on the hyperlink and to see the details of the ticket.
When the user clicks on such a link he is directed to a login screen (page 101) and he enters his Username and password, and is then forwarded to the details for the ticket.
Then he receives another email (e.g. for another ticked). He clicks on the link and :
a) in HTMLDB 1.6 he goes to the details as he didn't close his browser and session is remembered
b) in HTMLDB 2.0 he is prompted to enter username, password with the username populated
Please tell me how can I achieve the same behaviour in HTMLDB2.0 as it was in HTMLDB 1.6.
I understand this change is somehow security related, althogh I don't understand how. If you can explain this either I would be very happy?

How have you managed to get apps on your phone that are tied to a different and unknown AppleID?
If these apps were not purchased by you, having them is effectively software piracy and you should purchase them using your own AppleID if you want to keep hem.

Is there any way to use iPhoto without it moving my files?

I tried to use iPhoto ONCE last yer when I bought my Mac Mini, and it moved all my photo files around as it pleased, is there any way to stop it fro moving my files? I like the folder/file structure I have given my pictures and I do not need to have that managed.
At the moment I am using Picasa but I would like to know if it is possible to use iPhoto without it deciding what to do with my files.

It is a SQL database and it must control its database - like any database program
as long as you think of managing files rather than managing photos it is not the program for you - once you think of managing your photos then having the poser of a database for that will be obvious - if that is not what you want then do not use it
BTW - iPhoto does not ever "move" your files - it makes a copy of each photo in its database and manages it there - your files are never touched

How to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO

We are attempting to run a web application on SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP1 which uses Tuscany SDO. As it now stands We must use Tuscany because the web application will not run with the SAP SDO implementation provided by Netweaver. To ensure that Tuscany is loaded with priority, we have packaged the Tuscany JAR files and their dependencies as a heavy resource, as described here:

The final check showed that Tuscany was correctly deployed as a heavy resource and included the following JAR files:

We also verified that the web application using Tuscany has a hard reference to the Tuscany heavy resource.
However, when we try to run the web application, the following error is logged: java.lang.LinkageError: Class commonj/sdo/DataGraph violates loader constraints
The issue is definitely due to some kind of classloading conflict with the SAP SDO library, as the application runs normally when SAP SDO is manually removed from the classpath. Doing this on a production system is unfortunately not an option, though.
So the question is: how to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO?

I took a look at the "printerReady" example. Looks like I may be able to use the InetPing (...) function to ping through a range of IP addresses looking for a response.
Any ideas on how to find the MAC address associated with the IP addresses that respond?
We may have multiple units responding and the MAC address will allow the operator to determing which unit to connect to.

There are two types - POP and IMAP
You would need to logon to your webmail account using a browser and select the option to use IMAP forwarding - assuming that option is available.
Pop mail accounts can only access the server Inbox.
Emails are downloaded to your computer and stored in your Thunderbird Profile folder. So this type may not suit your requirements.
IMAP mail accounts offer a remote view of folders and emails stored on the server.
You subscribe to see those folders. Then Headers are downloaded and when you select to view an email, the email is downloaded to a temp cache.
Subscribed folders that are synchronised, download a copy of the folder and store it in your Thunderbird Profile. But these folders are constantly updated to reflect what is stored on the server.
So your best option would be to create IMAP mail account, subscribe to see folders on the server, but do not select to synchronise those subscribed folders.
Emails stored in your Thunderbird Profile on your computer load faster than those that have to be retrieved from the server each time.
Info on synchronising, so you can see how to enable/disable.

How to use Sunray without VDI or VMware View Manager

There is no VDI or VMware View Manager in my test environment. Only srss 4.2 and srwc 2.2 has been installed.

I think the problem you are running into is that you are using uttsc inside a Solaris environment as an app, looks like CDE, which isn't being supported to my knowledge to avoid conflicts between the two desktops. It is designed to work out of the box with SRWC kiosk mode.
The undocumented way to turn it on is to turn usb on by adding -r USB:on as an argument.

I could create a new session, copy the attributes from the old session(which is stored in my Hashtable) to the new session, and then invalidate the old session, but I'd rather not do that.

First of all, is it possible to use the same session after a user exits and then returns?No, I don't think so. Let me explain why. When the server creates a session object for each client, it needs to know which client is making the request. Remember that HTTP is a stateless protocol. Every time a client makes a request, it sends some sort of session id to the server to let the server know who is trying to make the request. The server will then check to see if a session object exists for that particular client and if so, it will make sure that the max inactive interval (maximum time alloted for that client's session) has not been exceeded. If every thing is okay, then the client can access the session object to get values that were previously placed there. There are many ways that servers try to keep track of clients. One way is to have the clients write the session ID using cookies. But, many people like disallow cookies. So some servers do what is known as URL rewriting. That is, they will write the session ID on the end of the query string. This can also be accomplished programmatically, but it can be taxing to do. Anways, the point is that the client and the server have to have some sort of link between each other and that link is the session ID. So, if the browser is closed, the session ID is lost. That particular client will be forced to get a new session ID the next time the following code is executed:

be used.If you really want to do something like this, you could make up your own ID and store it as a cookie on the client. I've never tried anything like this before so you would have to do your own research. Are you sure you want to do something like this. There is a reason why it works the way it does. There is also a reason why you want to keep the session timeout value some what small. Let me give you an example of some craziness with sessions. A client we once had wanted to keep their sessions open for 4 hours because they said there clients simply did not like to log in all the time. I nearly gasped when I was told we needed to do this. When you make the session time out large (i.e. the maxInactiveInterval( )), then session objects stick around longer in the server. Let's say a client logs into the server and receives a session object. Then, the client makes a few requests. The server knows to keep the session alive as long as the time between requests has not exceeded 4 hours. Then the client closes the browser. How is the server suppose to know that the browser was closed. Well, it doesn't. It just knows to check times between requests. So, that particular session object won't be garbage collected until the session times out. What if a whole bunch of clients did this. Yucko. The server would have a whole bunch of session objects living in memory. What a waste. This is all above and beyond the typical security problems that can arise from having a session open for so long. To make a long story short, you really shouldn't do what you are trying to do unless it is the nature of the app.
