Using DynamicStreamingVideoSource with Flex Mobile (iOS)

All,
Is it correct that DynamicStreamingVideoSource doesn't work with iOS?
The weird thing is that the stream works in the simulator,
but on the device itself it shows the player but won't start playing.
Any help is welcome,

Possible to obtain phone IMEI number with flex mobile project?

Just like the title says, is it possible to obtain phone IMEI number with flex mobile project? If not, does anyone know of another method to get a unique number to identify the phone being used (on android and iphone)? I'm asking because I'm building a chat application, and I need a way to potentially ban users based on something other than an IP address.
edit: now that I think about it, an IMEI number might not be the best way, since wifi tablets may not hav an IMEI number, anyone have any other idea how I could get a number to identify a device that would already be present, because i'm afraid if its something generated by me, a simple uninstall and re-install could circumvent a ban.

I have verified that it does work and provides the IMEI. For cases where there is no IMEI ( bc the device is not a mobile phone, or it uses IMSI instead ), you can just bypass the device id check with your database, and enable full functionality.
Although this is not full-proof, it will nevertheless screen a lot of devices. With this, you can keep track of the number of app installs / resets, and add a 'banned' flag if you want to in your DB -- if you see unusal activity ( like: unsually high number of re-installs ).

I have verified that the iOS part works, but haven't tried the Android side, yet. Note: for iOS, it will also give you a UUID ( even though the object tag claims it is the UDID -- it's not ), which is worthless as a persistent means of identifying the device. since it gets reset on each app re-install. So, for iOS, you have to use the MAC address, unless you are willing to store/restore the UUID into EncryptedLocalStore, as suggested by a user in:

Yes, no problem at all doing that.
I would make sure that it all works before you start travelling, as its easier to sort out from home. Make sure you are opted it, and try it from your own BT Home hub BT Wifi signal first.

Using RoboHelp with Flex

Does anybody know how to use RoboHelp with Flex? I'm a Flex
developer and am new to RoboHelp, and am trying it out to create
some online help for my Flex application. I've searched, and also
tried a couple of tutorials, but so far I haven't found anything
about how to combine the two. Thanks.

The issue is the calling of the help from Flex so I wonder if

StageVideo with Flex Mobile Project on iOS

In a Flex Mobile project using StageVideo, StageVideoAvailabilityEvent always returns StageVideoAvailability.UNAVAILABLE.
I've been reading all day and it looks like StageVideo might not be supported with Flex projects, but I can't find a concrete answer.
I need a definitive answer, using Flash Builder 4.6, AIR 3.1, and Flash Player 11, can StageVideo be used. If so, any help as to how to get this working would be greatly appreciated.

After much trial and error, I finally have a definitive answer. The answer is yes, you can use StageVideo in a Flex Mobile project. To be honest I found StageVideo to be completely useless, at least for what I was hoping to use it for.
The first big problem is that the StageVideo plays underneath all Flash content. Second, at least on iOS, there were no video controls. I suppose you could roll your own, but I didn't take the time to experiemnt with this. I ended up just using StageWebView.

Is there a way to use Stage3D in Flex Mobile projects on iPad?

When I create a project of type "Action Script Mobile Project" the Stage3D works on iPad, Android device and in the AIR desktop simulator.
But when I create a project of type "Flex Mobile Project" it works in the desktop simulator and on Android device but does not work on iPad.
When running on iPad the stage.stage3Ds[] collection is empty.
Is it a sort of limitation made by intent? Or a bug? Or maybe I am doing something wrong?
What I actually need is an ability to render offscreen bitmaps with GPU in an application that uses Spark UI. This is why I need Flex Mobile project.
My configuration is the following:
iPad with retina display
Sony Xperia Tablet Z
AIR SDK 3.7 (and I have also tried AIR SDK 3.8 today)

Open PDF with Flex Mobile Project

I want to be able to read PDFs inside a Flex Mobile Project (I'm working with Flash Builder 4.6 and Android and iPad).
I've tried successfully stagewebview to load a pdf from a web server with this:

In addition to opening a PDF, I want to be able to encode an anchor id in to the open command to jump a specific anchor; I'd concluded that on iOS, until Adobe add decent url-scheme support, that was a no go - so I've been staring down the barrel of converting the .pdf to HTML and tidying up the inevitable issues manually. Here's hoping Print2Flash will help avoid that!

Any issues using ALCS with Flex 4?

We're about to move some of our code base to Flex 4, and I wanted to check in advance if there would be any issues with ALCS using Flex 4 Beta 2 and Flash Builder Beta 2.

If you are using player 10 ALCS swc and Whiteboard with Flex 4 and Flash Builder beta 2, it might throw an exception sometimes which has been fixed recently and will be updated in the next drop.
Player 9 ALCS swc should work fine. We haven't done testing extensively on Flex 4 for our framework, so if there are any issues that you come across, please report to us.

much more powerful than standard cookies.

Flex Mobile: iOS signing issues

Hello everybody,
I got an issue (probably) regarding the iOS signing process wihthin Flash Builder 4.5.1 (Build 313231) mobile projects.
The signing and compiling process seems to work fine, but when I'm trying to check-in the application for the Apple AppStore, the process failed with the message it hasn't been signed correctly, or it hasn't been signed with an Apple Distribution Provisioning Profile.
I'm pretty sure I got the right certificate.
Are there some known issues? Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Problem in using 6670 with T-Mobile.. need urgent ...

ive got a strange problem with my 6670
the problem is specifically with using T-Mobile uk
when i put my T-Mobile sim in the phone i can make phone calls and recieve txts but it just only recieve phone calls from the same network i.e T-Mobile not from even landline the message ppl get is "the phone is currently unavailable" it dont even go to the voice mail.
on the other hand if i put my orange sim the phone work totally normal i can make calls and i can recieve calls from any network or landlines.
i have tried alot of ppl even car phone warehouse but they said they will charge 100£ which i cant afford
so if somebody can help me out in this situation

Since you said it works fine with an Orange SIM card, it sounds more like it's a network issue than a handset issue. I'd give T-Mobile a call and see what they can do for you - Your SIM may have call barring setup.

Problem using items with jQuery mobile

I currently encountered two issues with the jQuery mobile template in APEX.
- Textfield with autocomplete is not supportet and doesn't work
- Date field should be supportet but doesn't work in most browsers
Is there anything planned in APEX 5 to find workarounds for this? Or do we have to build our own solutions?
My current APEX version is "4.2.2.00.11".

Regarding the date picker - what about it doesn't work? I haven't found any issues with using date pickers on many different devices.
