Using Firefox to FileReference.upload but postback with IE cookie
I don’t know how long it took me to finally figured out
that
upload is actually passing back the IE cookie when I am using
FireFox. This is absolutely the strangest thing.
I am using ASP.NET. The page I am using requires
authentication, so I need to read the cookie for user login
information. To my surprise, when I am logged in as User ONE on
Firefox and upload a file, I received User TWO from IE’s
login. I changed to login as User THREE in IE, the upload in
FireFox passed back User THREE.
I tried deleting all cookies from IE and FireFox, but Flash
still persists on sending back User Three, even though IE cookies
don’t exist anymore.
I am able to upload files correctly, just uploading to the
wrong user's account because of the wrong cookie. I am posting back
to the same aspx page. I also set up 2 separate servers and both
results are the same.
Can someone explain to me why this is, and what I am doing
wrong? How do I make it post back like a normal ASP.NET post back,
because I might need the session cookie.

I can't effect complete deletion of movies from my netflix.com streaming queue while using Firefox (v9.0.1). I contacted Netflix by phone and we checked my browser settings, ensuring they were where they needed to be. They suggested trying to effect the same using other browsers and I had no problem with Chrome allowing me to make a complete and effective deletion. My plugins are all up-to-date and any incompatible ones have been disabled. My problem has been an ongoing thing for months and I wanted to let Mozilla know it exists. If anyone else has been having this problem, please notify Mozilla so they realize it's not just an isolated incident and (hopefully) will look into finding the problem and fixing it.Addendum: The .jpg file, below, shows the netflix popup I get when trying to delete a video.

When using Firefox certain videos play but the image is green and distorted.. help?
Firefox 3.6.8 and 3.5 (I downgraded to see if that would solve the issue)

When using Firefox certain videos play but the image is green and distorted. The image turns into lines and sometimes it half of the screen of the video. Examples are streaming MLB.tv video and some vimeo videos. The odd thing is that it isn’t all Vimeo videos. Is this a flash issue?
The issue does not happen with Internet Explorer which leads me to believe this is an issue with Firefox. I downgraded to 3.5 and the issue still persists.

Thanks for your suggestion. My problem occurs when trying to open any type of file (at least .doc and .pdf, as far as I know). As I mentioned, when I log into hotmail from another browser, I am then able to open my attachments. I am hoping to figure out how to tinker with firefox so I no longer have this issue. I am not sure what is causing this block, but I know it has to do with Firefox (or settings relating to) or related add ons. -
i use yahoo for email. I often send spreadsheets inline in yahoo, and before i used firefox, the gridlines and cell colors copied into my yahoo email (inline). Now with firefiox I am losing the gridlines and colors. I looked in Firefox options but did not see an option to check for this. Please help

The mouse driver is Synaptics but this works with all other apps and Internet Explorer, but suddenly stopped when using Firefox and all tabs. Not sure why so can you help?
If it is a laptop, I've heard of vertical and horizontal scrolling being switched on the touch-pad in Firefox. Bring up "Mouse" in the Control panel and see if you can fix there, best if just going there fixes, but that's really pushing luck. If you activate horizontal and deactivate vertical wonder what happens in other applications.
My driver only allows vertical scrolling control along the right edge and does not provide horizontal scrolling at the bottom edge I turn the mousepad off though and use a mouse. -
On a pc that is partitioned, both identities are using FireFox as browser. On one ID they can see all images on a website, such as CNN or NYT.com but on the other most of the images (within the story content and advertising images on borders of webpages) are missing. I'm not sure why this is happening, but I need help to fix it.
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.image pref should be 1.
If background images are missing then make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows Accessibility settings and that you allow pages to choose their colors in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
There are also extensions like Adblock Plus (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images and other content.

Just bought new Ipod Touch 5g. I found out it can't access Internet in home network. not really cannot access, but very slow to open any web page, App Store failed to access, etc. But, OK with other Wifi (office & starbucks). Others existing iOS devices (Iphone4 & Ipad2) have no problem like this. I'm using Linksys E4200 router at home. anyone has any idea why?

I have a macbook pro 2012 13 inch, which i use for uni and youtube etc. I use firefox for my web browsing, whenever I go to watch videos, from youtube or even uni lectures (for all my subjects) the video and audio play fine, but as soon as i switch into another tab, the audio continues to play whilst the video lags and stops all together, freezing on the current screen. The timestamp on the video players also stops, which gets incredibly frustrating when I am watching uni lectures, does anybody know how to fix this?? Please help.Which os version are you using?

The PDF docs opened in Firefox are very light and the color of print is multicolored shaded. Different parts of display different shades of any color but black. Just loaded newest Adobe Reader, did not help. Previously running Reader 9. Haven't had a problem till Firefox 6. If I fool with the Window Color in 7 I can effect the PDF doc. Lowering saturation level to nothing helps, but doesn't fix problem.

Is it possible to use Firefox on my iPhone WITHOUT syncing with my laptop?
I would rather not sync my iPhone with Firefox on my laptop because I don't use the Internet on my phone very much. I don't want the memory used for bookmarks and things.

The iOS SDK agreement requires apps to use Apple's own JavaScript engine (or none at all, like Opera Mini which downloads pre-rendered pages from Opera's servers and cannot run JavaScript code in the client). My MP990 will scan using my Win 7 laptop but not with my XP desktop
I have been running my MP990 using a WiFi connection. I had to replace the printer with another MP990. I can still use the scanner function using the Win 7 laptop but not on the desktop XP. With XP, I get the following message:
Cannot comunicate with scanner for these reasons:
- Scanner is turned off
- Scanner is disconnected
(It is disconnected from LAN, if using on LAN)

Since it will scan using the Win 7 "Windows Fax and Scan" but will not work on the desktop XP, I suspect I need to re-install the software. I don't have the orifinal disk but I did download a couple of files: MP990soswin100us.exe or mpnx_3_0-win-3_05-ej-exe

I recommend installing both of the files you mentioned as one is the driver and the other is MP Navigator. The driver will get the basic files installed, but the MP Navigator gives you an easy to use interface to power the scanner.

I've been using Firefox 4.0.1 without issue. All of a sudden, I can't access websites. My network connection reports okay and I can access all websites using Internet Explorer. I thought I may have a virus so I uninstalled FF and reinstalled...I have the same result. Any explanation and resolution recommendations are welcome.

(1) Type or paste '''about:config''' into the location bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful if it appears.
(2) Type '''agent''' into the filter box and wait for the list to be filtered.
(3) Right-click '''general.useragent.override''' and choose Reset to return that preference to its default value.

By the way, this override might have been set by an add-on to improve compatibility with something else... good luck tracking it down.
