Using ?import:file? command in a linux Enterprise server

Hello.
I'm with a problem with a template. I never had a client that use linux as OS in enterprise server.
I work with embedded bi publisher in JDEDWARDS and usually i use this command to call dinamic footers and never had a problem. For example
<?import:file:///\\10.153.2.86\BIP\R5543501\footerlastpage.rtf?>. This customer is in linux and dont know nothing about linux but i think that the problem is in this command because linux dont use " \\ " to perform this command \\10.153.2.86\BIP\R5543501\footerlastpage.rtf.
Someone know how i can solve this problem? i tried something like this ( <?import:file://///10.153.2.86\BIP\R5543501\footerlastpage.rtf?>) but still not working and cant find much information in internet about this.

You can import subtemplates this way:
<?import:http://myservername/subtemplates.rtf?> (access over HTTP)
or
<?import:file:///mydirectory/subtemplates.rtf?> (access over File System)
(Notice: http uses two forward slashes // and file uses three /// )
So in your case try this: <?import:file:///10.153.2.86/BIP/R5543501/footerlastpage.rtf?>
Another thing to make sure is set is this:
1) http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/de/community/bip/tipps/Subtemplates/image01.png
2) http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/de/community/bip/tipps/Subtemplates/image02.png

Running livecycle es 8.2 on suse linux enterprise server

Hi, I've recently received a strange bug while trying to startup jboss livecycle on suse linux enterprise server. The error that occurs first is: 2008-10-23 10:58:23,065 ERROR [org.jboss.deployment.MainDeployer] Could not initialise deployment: file:/app/jboss/server/all/deploy/adobe-livecycle-native-jboss-x86_linux.ear java.lang.OutOfMemoryError at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method) at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(ZipFile.java:203) at java.util.jar.JarFile.<init>(JarFile.java:132) at java.util.jar.JarFile.<init>(JarFile.java:70) After some research i found out that this is not a java heap space bug nor a livecycle bug , but a java 1.5 bug, the bug database url is as follows: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4705373 duplicate of: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6280693 As stated this is a java bug that was fixed in the mustang release (jdk1.6), but since we cant use jdk1.6, is it even possible to deploy lc on suse linux enterprise server ?

Hi Jayan, thanks for the reply, but as I stated, this is not a java heap space problem. I have done all the necesary tests to confirm that, the XmX is set to 1280m which is the maximum for the 32-bit jdk and at the point of the crash there's still plety of java heap space avaible (the crash occurs after like a 3 minuts already in the early stage of the deployment phae). Also, when Livecycle does run out of heap space (which happened to us on some windows machines), you get a clear message java.lang.OutOfMemory : Out of heap space, which does not occur in our case.
So to clariy, the java heap space is here not the problem, the bug is the same as in sun's bug database (see links for details) and has to do with the mmap system call under linux.

You can download package for your distribution (for example) from http://www.mozilla.org or directly from SuSE ftp server ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.1/suse/i586
IE for linux does not exist.

Can't Install Solution Manager on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 - JAVA

Hello everyone!
I've been trying to complete the pre-requisites in order to install Solution Manager SR2 on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 x64 - SP1.
There's only one last condition that I haven't met, and it's the Java Runtime Environment version...
I checked the recommended note 867110 and it says that i need to have installed the J2SDK 1.4.2_08.
SLES10 includes the 1.4.2_13, so I had to uninstall it, and download the right version from Sun Microsystem's official webpage.
When I installed the version 1.4.2_08, i'm not able to run SAPINST because there's no Java Runtime Environment running on the server.
I started to investigate and I found in some forums [NOT EXPLICITLY] that there's no port for J2SDK 1.4.2_08 on x64 linux systems.
I can't believe this is true because SLES10 is recommended by SAP to install Solution Manager, so I hope somebody can help me on this.
My specific question is: Does anybody know if is true that J2SDK 1.4.2_08 is NOT COMPATIBLE with x64 Linux?
In case of being true, is there any way to be able to run SAPINST ? because if I enable the version SLES brings built in, i'm able to run the SAPINST but it detects that i'm not running version 1.4.2_08 and doesn't allow me to continue installation.
I hope somebody can help me soon...

You downloaded the wrong version - the one you have is for Z-Linux(Linux running on the mainframe - not for x64).
You need to download the x86_64 (or AMD64) version.
Install the correct one and try on a new console:
export JAVA_HOME=/opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142
export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
Then execute
java -fullversion
and it should show the correct version.

Yes, it will install. Oracle supports it.Apparently they forgot to tell support. Certify still holds at SLES 9.

Can't import using Import Files...

Recent download of Aperture 3.1.1 from App Store. Can't get images into Aperture using File>Import>Files... (Command I or the Import arrow). Selecting Import generates file structure in the Browser pane, the "loading Assets" spins a bit, but no thumbnails appear in the Viewer pane. Thus, no images are presented for import selection. However, I can drag images into the Browser from the desktop or Finder window, but this is cumbersome I don't think that should be the only way to do it.

OKay, I have had the issue of images not being able to be directly imported into the Project/Album that Aperture says it will import them into, and it used to do this, but now doesn't, and it is very annoying and frustrating! Even after the images are imported into the general Photos section, they cannot be dragged and dropped into the Project/Album either, even though the tooltip that appears when I am doing so, as it is hovering over the Project/Album shows the correct number of images it will now have, opening up the Project/Album the image(s) aren't shown.
I tried the tip suggested here of dragging the Aperture folder from the Application Support folder to the desktop and reopening Aperture, but still does the same thing.
Where are you guys finding this in the Basic Troubleshooting? I have searched it, but not seeing any topic that documents this. And/or which .plst to delete?
Any help to get this back to how it was before, when be very appreciative, I mean it worked correctly before and images imported directly to the Project/Album without a hitch, just all of the sudden it stopped doing it, and encounter these issues.

Problem using the File Dialog Box in a Client/Server application

I am developping a client-server application using Labview 5.1 . The application on the server acquires data from some instruments and saves it on file, while the application on the clients displayes such acquired data. For doing this I call some routines on the server via the "Open Application vi" (remote connection). All goes well except when I open on the server the "File Dialog Box vi" : in this case the application on the clients is blocked (is blocked the execution of the called vi on the server). Only when
the File Dialog Box on the server is closed, the execution of the called vi on the server starts again.
I need to use the File Dialog Box on the server, but I don' t want to stop at the same time
the clients !!
I need help for resolving such problem.

Are you sure? I think, that File Dialog, called by LabVIEW File Dialog from Advanced File Functions Palette doesn't blocking any cycles in subVI, which running in UI Thread. Look in my old example (that was prepared for other topic, but may be good for this topic too).

Importing PST file using Import-Mailbox Command Crashes Powershell

I am attempting to import a .pst file into a mailbox via the Import-Mailbox powershell command. The command starts and imports the deleted items and creates the folder structure in the Inbox then crashes powershell. I am running Outlook 2007 SP2 on a Windows 2003 Std SP2 server w/Exchange 2007 SP1 Update Rollup 8 management tools. I have tried everything i can think of. This happens on multiple machines with similar packages installed. No anti-virus software is installed. It happens on both pst files i am testing with and no errors are logged in the event logs either on the exchange mailbox server or the server i am using to do the import.

Have you tried to do this from the actual Exchange 2007 server? I assume you are trying to import the pst to an Exchagne 2007 email account to Exchange 2007 correct?
Have you tried to perform the import on a Windows XP machine using the 32bit EMC/EMS rather then using Windows 2003 server?
I honestly recall in the back of my head a problem with Exchange 2007 and Outlook CDOs or something like that. I could be wrong but I remember something from a year ago.....
Seriously though, try it from a Windows XP machine running the Exchange Managerment Tools and see what happens rather then a W2K3 Server.

Yea I double check the link i posted as well I never tried from a 2003 server either, I've always done it from an XP machine, but again we know its works because you got it to work with a newly export PST, so I think its more to do with the PST file itself, hopefully you dont have a bunch of them, if so let the users re-import them =)

Waveburner: Freezes at import file command.

I have opened a new Waveburner session. When I click import on the interface, either on the main interface or in the region list, or when I click import audio in the file menu, the program freezes, spinning beach ball and everything.
Anyone know what's up?

Use XML files stored in directory of Application server as a input for XI ?

I have a scenario that there is a xml file stored in sap application server for example /inf/ERQ/XML/XXX.xml which i want to use it as an input for XI. I know that there is an adapter in XI for getting xml file stored in normal path but in my situation it's in application server of SAP so i don't know how to do this.
Any solution or example for this? Thank you in advance.

We can read this file through FILE adapter with FTP protocol, before that i think need permission from basis for access. Configure source(according to xml format) and target structure according to your requirement. But one thing should remember in XI/PI sour/target XML formats should contain Message type name & namespace name else it can't work.

Import files from usb impossible?

I tried to import a .mov file from usb. by using the import file-command in FCPX. Impossible; the clip is empty with red warningsign. I must first via finder import into the map "film" ("movie") and from there import it (by using the importfile-command in FCPX) in the event and than it works.
For audio almost the same; first import in iTunes and from there into FCPX using the FCP-importcomand. I think this is wrong.
Any idea about the reason?

Is it possible you unchecked Copy files to Final Cut Events folder-in your Import Preferences?
Because if that's unchecked, then FCP X will go looking for your USB stick to play that file back. And if it's no longer attached to your computer, it will appear as offline- which is what that warning is.
I have no trouble importing footage from USB into FCP X that I then eject- as long as it's copied over on Import. Remember- "Import" is just FCP X getting pointed to your media. If you don't check, Copy files, the media doesn't move from its original import location and when that location is no longer visible to FCP X- i.e. on a drive that gets ejected- it will appear offline which is probably what happened here.
Though personally I wouldn't suggest ingesting directly from a USB stick but rather copying the contents from the stick to your hard drive first and then pointing it to FCP X- for improved performance.

Sony File Commander really doesn't save files on sd card - they vanished after restart

Like in the subject. I've Sony Xperia Z3 dual sim version - 16GB + 64GB Kingston SD card. I was recording very important meeting with my phone. But after a few hours the internal space was full and I moved all of the recordings to my sd card using Sony File Commander. The files where there. But I have to restart my phone and I was so surprised that after doing that all of my files on sd card that I've moved using SFC where gone. I've lost very important stuff.
I'm using Sony Audio Recorder and this program can save recordings only to internal storage. There is no option in settings to change that. Please help! Sony, help!
Going back to factory settings, uninstalling software updates and cleaning data of SFC didn't solve the problem. All versions of SFC have this problem.
