Using Loop to read value

Hello !!
 I am detecting rising and falling edge of a square wave in a loop.......but i am not able to do it.....kindly help........sample code is...
Case 1 :
do
Val = readhardware(channel number);
if (val >2) break;
}while(1)

It depends on how your read hardware ( ) function is designed. A tight loop like that is not processing events, so if you function relies in any way in event processing then that system won't work. Can you post a summany code of your function an some detail on how it interacts with the hardware? Does it use serial functions or GPIB or VISA or a third party dll or what?
Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

    Another idea with less programming - take advantage of the "free" array that comes with a Chart - i.e. the  History Data.
    1) Wire your DMM data to a Chart. (You can set the chart to invisible if you don't plan on using it in the GUI).
    2) Set the Chart History Length to 200 (right click on the chart, click on Chart History Length...)
    3) On the block diagram, use the History Data Property Node, wire it to Mean.vi, and you're done.
    Easiest running average ever.

    Replace Array Subset requires that the array elements are type compatible with the elements that you want to replace. That seems not the case in your example.
    And the For Loop is anything but slow. How many billion elements do you expect your array to have to worry about performance of the for loop? With the type definition of your example even a ready made LabVIEW function would have to do internally a for loop too, since the boolean data inside the original array can not be in a continous memory area.
    Maybe if you show us what you try to do with the for loop we can understand better what your concerns are. As it is from the front panel image alone it is really hard to understand what your imagined problem might be.

  • Read values from html response

    Hi,
    I am trying to make a call to an API using UTL_HTTP POST method over SSL and read the response html page and extract the values from the reponse.
    I am able to call and get a response back in html format. I have stored the html response in a clob variable.
    Now i want to parse this html and extract values from the form input items and send them out through OUT parameters.
    For example, from below reponse i want to extract the value '1111d7nhcwse30wq' from 'I4GO_UNIQUEID'
    Can anyone help me with the code to parse this html response and extract the values.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Here is working example for your HTML using xpath to extract values from html
    You can store your html response in clob variable and then extract the value with xpath
    declare
       l_clob clob;
       l_value varchar2(100);
       l_xml xmltype;
      begin
         l_clob :='<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    Problem when parsing html with xpath and xmltype
    Edited by: peterv6i.blogspot.com on Apr 26, 2012 9:38 AM

  • How to read values from the following XML?

    I have been using "extractValue" to get the values from a xmltype field and no problems until now.
    The xmltype now is like:
    <a>1</a>
    <b>2</b>
    <c>1221</c>
    <c>1412</c>
    <d>11111</d>
    <e>3333</e>
    I'm able to read values from 'a,b,d,e' but not from 'c'.
    Questions:
    1)- Is posible to read the values of field c?. How?
    2)- If is not posible to read the field values, Is posible to transfor the xmlfield to:
    Where I will be able to use xmltable columns and loop getting the values.
    <a>1</a>
    <b>2</b>
    <k>
    <c>1221</c>
    <c>1412</c>
    </k>
    <d>11111</d>
    <e>3333</e>
    Like always
    Thank you in advance for your help.

    I want to update a few fields, prod_price and prod_status. I submit these values to my update page but I'm not sure how to loop over these values and update by the prod_id. In my update page I'm using cfdump and I see the structure of the form, the fieldnames as well as the prod_id, prod_name, etc and their values.
    My question is how do I loop over these form values so I'll be able to update by each prod_id? I've played around with looping over the form collection values but no luck.

    When I do stuff like this, I append the "id" value to the end of each form field.  That enables me to ensure the other fields match up.
    When processing the form, I generally do something like this:
    <cfloop list="#form.fieldnames# index="ThisField">
    <cfif left(ThisField, 9) is "prod_name">
    <cfscript>
    ThisID = removechars(thisfield, 9);
    ThisName = form["prod_name" & ThisID];
    same for other fields
    Then do something with those variables.

  • How to loop to get value of all checked checkboxes?

    I am a non-techic trying to fix something for work. Your help is really appreciated.
    I have a form with checkboxes (4 check boxes). Everything sumbits fine. SQL db is updated perfectly and data is displayed on webpage w/o any problem. However when I go to edit an entry, on the edit form, (if more then one checkbox were selected oringally), non of the checkboxes are checked. If only one checkbox was selected orinally, that checkbox is selected. What am I missing? I know I am suppose to use loop to get all checked checkbox values, but I have no idea how.
    Here is my code so far.

    You've given all the checkboxes the same name. Give them each a unique name and you will be able to access them individually. Current standards also require a unique ID, which can (but does not have to) be the same as the name.
    The "OR" characters in your code are not doing anything. You can safely delete them.

    You have a table
       CREATE TABLE tab (
          col1  NUMBER,
          col2  NUMBER,
          col3  NUMBER,
          col4  NUMBER
          col5  NUMBER)Now you insert:
       INSERT INTO tab (col2, col4) VALUES (5, 7);col1, col3 and col5 are NULL by default (there is no DEFAULT clause for these columns so they are NULL).

    Enumeration e = v.elements();
    Object o;
    for(int i = 0;e.hasMoreElements();i++) {
    o = e.nextElement();
    if (i%10 == 0){ System.out.println(o.toString()); }

    Use code tags when posting code.
    It's interesting that some other guy asked about a for loop like that a week ago. (http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=31&thread=323439) Are you the same person with a different name? Or are you taking the same course?
    As I said when I answered that question, and as should be pretty selfevident if you actually understand what the for loop you have is doing, you can select which word you print out by changing the initial value of 'i' in your loop. To print word number 2,12 etc you set 'i' to
    9 at the start.

  • Loop and read issue

    Hi Experts
    I am trying to do basically as shown below
    LOOP AT T_EDID4 INTO WA_EDID4 WHERE DOCNUM = T_EDIDC-DOCNUM .
    READ TABLE T_EDID4 WITH KEY DOCNUM = T_EDIDC-DOCNUM
                                SEGNAM = 'E1KNVVM'
    if sy-subrc eq 0 .
    endif.
    endlloop.
    If there are more than 1 E1KNVVM for idoc number , how can i make sure not to read the segnam which has already been read

    Sanju,
      While extracting the  data into T_EDID4 take the data of  "SEGNUM" column from EDID4 table.
    SORT : T_EDIDC BY DOCNUM,
                T_EDID4 BY DOCNUM SEGNAM SEGNUM.
    LOOP AT  T_EDIDC.
       LOOP AT T_EDID4 INTO WA_EDID4 WHERE DOCNUM = T_EDIDC-DOCNUM
                                                                 AND   SEGNAM = 'E1KNVVM'
                                                                 AND   SEGNUM =  T_EDID4-SEGNUM.
          if sy-subrc eq 0 .
           endif.
    endlloop.
    Don't forget to reward if useful...

    In case you did not find it, the following is a copy/paste of the Announcement on Premiere Elements 19/NVIDIA GeForce
    that appears at the top of this forum.
    Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
    If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing
    Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling
    back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
    Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow
    glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies
    to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of
    the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere
    Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.
    Since October 2013, the following thread has tried to keep up with the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA reports

  • Reading values from lookup columns through custom workflow in SharePoint 2013

    We are able to read the values of text, number columns through custom workflow (via coding) in SharePoint 2013. However, we are not able to read values from lookup columns. So, request anyone to provide help on this.
    Thanks & regards,
    Aditya

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to read values from lookup columns through custom workflow in SharePoint 2013.
    Since the workflow just doesn't get lookup fields, let's give it something static to work with instead. If we can capture the ID of the lookup field and store that as a static value in our list, the workflow can happily use that to look up our related.
    For more information, you can refer to:
    SharePoint 2013 Workflows and Lookup Columns
