Using OR with WHEN in .ctl file

Hello,
Can I use OR with WHEN clause in .ctl file?
I am trying to load txt file into oracle table. I used positions.
INTO TABLE ABC
WHEN ((814:834)!=BLANKS) OR ((934:938)!=BLANKS)
DE_CASE POSITION(1:7) NULLIF DE_CASE=BLANKS,
DE_WHERECODE POSITION(814:814) NULLIF DE_WHERECODE=BLANKS,
DE_WHERE POSITION(815:831) NULLIF DE_WHERE=BLANKS,
DE_PDCODE POSITION(832:832) NULLIF DE_PDCODE=BLANKS
If not what should I do for OR?

My mistake, it should be WHEN not WHERE.

When I asked 'Did you try the import process already?', I meant, did you try your sql loader process with your control file? Are you getting an error while executing the loading process? if you are please post the error and you probably need more info likethe entire control file with sample data

Problems with sqlldr, creating .ctl file

Hi I am trying to load data from a .csv file into an oracle table. I have been successful with loading some .csv files but at this point I am stuck in loading one .csv file that creates incorrect rows.
The .csv file has rows commencing on a newline, with columns seperated by the delimiter ','. Unfortunately some values in the .csv file contain newline characters leaving blank lines in the .csv file then continuing on with a row on the next line. e.g.
"foo", "foofoo", "foofoo", "lalalala
lallalallala", "foo", "foo"
Does anyone know what is missing from my .ctl file below so that it accurately reads in the correct values. Also delimiters ',' are present inside values e.g. "foo, foo". Does the optionally enclosed by statement below ingore those cases which I want it to?
OPTIONS (SKIP=1)
LOAD DATA
BADFILE 'import.bad'
APPEND
INTO TABLE tablename
FIELDS TERMINATED BY "," optionally enclosed by '"'
--columns

Can you get the data supplied to you without the newline characters in the strings? It would make it a lot easier.Unfortunately not as this is an assignment. I also tried the method of converting to a tab csv and adjusting the .ctl file respectively with the same result. Some records are perfect but others are not and I can not for the life of me pinpoint why. I am new to this and I can just tell like you guys have assured me of that newlines contained in values are ugly. But regardless im open to suggets if anyone has any.

The branding feature isn't available in Send just yet, but it is planned for a future release. In the meantime, you're welcome to send your file, with branding, using Adobe SendNow. You can log in to SendNow at https://sendnow.acrobat.com/signin.html using the same Adobe ID and password that you use for Send.

How do I use FileReference.load() when selecting multiple files???

Hi All,
Basically I am developing my own Adobe Air FTP client application (Flex builder 4.6). I have have successfully managed to get the user to select one or more files from their local machine to send via FTP. The file(s) are then added to an arrayCollection which populates a data grid.
I then have an upload button that when pressed I need to loop through each file that has previously been selected and pick up the file name, size and data stored within the file. I know I can use the FileReference class and the load() method to load the file and access the data via the .data method but the data variable is always null meaning i am obviously not using the load() method in the relevant place in the code.
Can anyone help me get around this probblem please??
Below are my snippets of code that I think you will need:
When the Browse button is selected it fires the selectHandler function below to add files to the data grid:

Uhm, as you "check the folder daily", you'll have one or the other junk mail popping up in the preview frame anyway, right?
Well, as soon as you decided you want to delete all junk mail, you can do so without seeing any of them anymore:
With any of the other mailboxes selected and showing, right-click on any of the mailboxes (can be Inbox, Flagged, Sent, Junk, Trash), then click Erase Junk Mail and answer the following dialog with Erase.
The junk mails will be erased without you - or anyone looking over your shoulder - seeing even only one anymore.

Why won't FCX use all cores when exporting a file?

Hi folks,
Latest version of FCX and Lion.
I'm trying to export 7 'projects' (or sequences) for archiving then processing for DVD.
Compressor still busts my kahonies so I'm not using it. I'm using Bitvice (far better compression as well).
Anyhoo, when I Share - export media and choose the file, click ok etc..., the file starts.
But my cores are barely operational. It's quite ridiculous. A 1 hour 22 minute ProRes file to 720x480 16:9 widescreen is taking near 23 minutes.
That doesn't seem right. I shouldn't have to beg this software to rip all 24 cores to their max (I have a 12 core 2.66 with 32 GB Ram).
I've been on so many "how-to's" over the year, that my head is spinning so can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong.
It sure seems like a simple thing.

Of all things Apple that I've used and owned, I've never been able to get Compressor to go full force. Well, I should say with ease and consistency. There have been a few moments of sparkling hope lol
Latest was a long series and tests with Apple FCP team. They recommended a complete rewipe and only installation of Compressor 4 and FCX without installing FCS3. Sounds like something was messed up with QMaster along the way. But that's another story.
You are right about these - already rendered and FCX probably needs to re-render as it outputs.
My irk is that my cores just aren't being used - I'm exporting a file right now and my CPU usage shows
<GULP> 95.57'ish % IDLE!

Using IMAQReadFile with .jpg format of file is producing an "incompatible image size" error ?

The .jpg monochrome images are of slightly different sizes. Is there a way round this or should i use a different file format ?

I trimmed down your code a bit, but I don't see any problems with using various sized images. I ran your code first with no changes except removing the text file IO and changing the paths and saw no problems. I am using LV 6.1 with Vision 6.1. Take a look at the code below and see if it works for you.

Mac using iPhoto with elements 9 saving file after editing

I start with iPhoto select a photo to work with, make adjustment or add layer etc and then when I save the file I can never find it again!
It says it is saving it to my iPhoto folder I started from but it is not there.
Never had this kind of problem before. How can you direct Elements to save where you want it not where it wants it.

I had it almost set up correctly did not know in Elements to set "save over original" feature so that solved it.
I have no idea where these others I have modified went.
I search for them in the spot light but the path doesn't get me there.
It stops at iphoto library/modified etc.
They are not in the library that's for sure.
Anyway this method will work just fine.

Problem adding NAS quorum device using scconf with RSH disabled on filer

we are having problems to configure a quorum device via scconf.
/usr/cluster/bin/scconf -a -q name=XXXdc00xp1,type=netapp_nas,filer=XXX607ap fails with
scconf: Failed to add quorum device (XXX00xp1) - invalid quorum configuration.
scconf: Unable to communicate with filer "XXX607ap".
using snoop i realized that scconf is trying to configure the quorum using rsh. as our filer is only accessible via http and ssh - i have no idea how to configure a quorum using the standard methods described in the documentation provided by sun.
the documents only state that we need http administrative access - which is available.
any ideas ???

this should be a bug. If you send me some more customer details offline, I can add them to the bug and make sure this gets fixed.
The workaround should be (according to well informed sources):
on filer do:
options rsh.enable on
do scconf to add quorum and then
options rsh.enable off on filer
This has been tested and found to work. If it does not let us know.

BW - Using up memory when loading full files

Each night we have a number of jobs which load our data into BW. Most of the loads as full data loads, and therefore the system should wipe out the data that was there previously. However it seems to be keeping the information in the database. Not duplicating the ifnormation but using up the memory. I think we may have had a program which used to delete this out. Anyone any idea what this would be?
We are on old version 2.1C

It is more of a maintenance task. COuple of things you can do.
1. If you load data to targets also loading them thru PSA, after the load you can delete the PSA, say 'xxx' days old data be deleted from PSA. This will improve performance.
2. When loading a full load via a single info package to multiple targets at the same time, this load will create memeory bottle necks, you could avoid this by using a staging area, such as load to a DSO and from there load into further targets using individual info packages. Though the data same amount of data is in the memeory it handles and performs better.
3. Where possible try to use 'Delta' if youe extractor supports it.

LiveCycle does provide a Java API to forms; LiveCycle is in fact a suite of programs, mostly enterprise level for running on server (next to which the cost of the master suite is a drop in the ocean). LiveCycle Designer is perhaps the only end user tool, and it is not for server use and doesn't have an API.
Are you looking for a server solution? If so, nothing in the master suite can help, it isn't for server use.

IPhoto compatibility with Nikon Compressed RAW files?

Has anyone tried using iPhoto with the compressed RAW files generated by a Nikon D300s? Are they supported?
The 300s can create types of RAW files: 12- vs 14-bit and uncompressed vs lossless compressed. Which of these 4 types is/are supported by iPhoto?

Hi,
I looked into it a bit further, and apparently Apple does not support ANY TYPE of RAW file from the D300s! This is the camera that Nikon (who is not exactly a minor player in the digital camera market) describes as their "flagship" DSLR!
(Even more frustratingly, the D300s has the same sensor and image processor as the currently-supported D300, so the RAW file formats should be very similar and Apple shouldn't have to do too much work to add D300s support!)
On the other hand, Photoshop already supports it:

eg:
load infile.txt
into a
when filename not in (select filename from a) append
filename varchar(1000)
is it possible?? any way to achieve this?? Pleas help..

Thanks in advance..Easiest method i can think of would be to use an EXTERNAL TABLE instead of SQL LOADER.

Your Mac runs maintenance in the background for you.
Command + R gives you access to restore, repair, or reformat the drive using OS X Recovery
No idea why that was suggested.
You may have a third party video player installed that's causing an incompatibility issue.
Check these folders:

~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/

~/Library/ScriptingAdditions
The first four locations listed are in the root-level Library on your hard disk, not the user-level Library in your Home folder.The tilde (~) represents your Home folder.
To access the Home folder in OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and chooseGo > Library.
