Hello.
Okay - this isn't strictly 'BB in Home' but I can't figure out where else it should go!
I used to have BT BB Option 3, but recently skipped to a blue airy place, as my financial circumstances had changed, and I couldn't afford BT prices.
When I left BT BB I was going to sign up to Premium Mail to retain my email address. However, the sign-up process for that doesn't work, and I never received a promised mail from BT offering me the service. However, when you ditch BB, BT automatically downgrade you to PAYG dial-up ... a service which lapses if you dont use it after 90 days (every 90 days?) So in theory this is cheaper than the £1.50/mo for Premium Mail - dial in once every other month and your mail address is saved.    Anyway, I've duly done that. Dialled in, stayed on for a few minutes, browsed a few pages (bbc.co.uk automagically offers you text-based content, and I checked my IP was a BT dial-up one).
So, I think I've used my dial-up account.   However, how do I check this?   Where would this access be logged. There's nothing showing on my (BT) landline account (I have switched to another phone provider so I wouldn't expect it to, although the account still exists). It wont show on my (defunct) BB account.   My new phone provider doesn't charge for 0844 calls (I think) so the number doesnt show in their billing.
Any ideas where I can see a 'footprint' of my access?   How are BT getting me to pay for this PAYG? I thought it was just in the cost of the phone call, but if I dont explicitly pay for usage, then I dont see that.
Should I ask in Billing, or just cross my fingers?

Hope your ok,
If I remember rightly, the email thing does work on PAYG, I remember doing it myself years ago, just as you have done.
So far as the cost is concerned, your new phone provider will bill you for the call, which probably has a premium attached to it (not sure there) ....
but it does work, and I don't think you can "physically" check it anywhere .... but maybe wrong there.

The ones sold unlocked in the uk can be used in any carrier worldwide, so I would say yes

FaceTime uses data. If you are connected to wi-fi it should use that and not incur any expense from your cellular connection. If you are not connected to wi-fi it would use your cellular data connection. You can insure that doesn't happen by going to Settings > Cellular and turning FaceTime off in the "Use Cellular Data For" section.

Can you link two iPhones, one on pay monthly the other on pay as you go, to the same iTunes account? As once sync'd the pay as you go looses its service provider??

The iTunes account has nothing to do with the cellular service provider. So you should be able to have both phones on the same account. What problem do you have with it?

Are there longer music clips to use in iMovie you can find online? How to loop current audio?

I have a video that almost 50 seconds long and I can't figure out how to make the clip I am currently using to loop without coming to a full stop in the middle of the video and then start over again about about 5 or 6 sec of silence. Are there websites I can find music clips to use in iMovie that are longer than the ones that come with the application on my iMac? Or how can I make the audio that I am already using loop continously until the end of the video?

Can I use my unlocked iphone on a pay as you go SIM card?

I recently bought an iPhone 5 unlocked on the apple store UK. I am wondering if I can use a pay as you go SIM card with a top up card. I don't want to pay anything monthly. I just want to be able to top it up. Can I use pay as you go if it is unlocked?

If the carrier you wish to use has a pay-as-you-go iPhone plan, then yes, you can. It's a matter for the carrier and not something to do with the iPhone itself, as long as it's truly unlocked.

As i just found out thankfully the iphone in the uk will be available on pay as you go , however does anyone how will the 3g/edge service charged? and also say 4 a 16gb model will i pay 150£ or more than that, because i will be on pay as you go and not a contract?
P.s does U.S get that deal(pay as you go) aswell?

Hadn't heard of that before. That's probably what they'll do. Pay your data usage as you go rather than top up cards. It's a great way for them to make money.
I seem to remember Carphone Whørehouse were warned by OFTEL following their iPhone insurance scams last year. I'm sure that other bunch of high street rogues P4U were hauled over the coals for the deposit scams where users pay a premium and have to claim back cash if they don't use it or something. The 30 day contract sounds not too dissimilar.

If locked to O2, you first need to get your friend to have O2 officially unlock it. Once done, you can then use it on Vodaphone's network. You can't get the phone unlocked, your friend needs to do this. Once O2 processes the unlock request, follow the directions here:

Verizon iPhone 5s - in UK - enabled Global voice and data plan (pay as you go) - no service

Situation is as stated in the title. I have taken my iPhone 5S from the US to the UK, and before leaving I added the free pay as you go global feature to my plan. However, now that I am here, the phone says "No Service" and I can do nothing with it related to voice or data unless I am on WiFi. Live Chat is not working. I tried dialing the 800 number from my international flip phone and it cannot recognize my push button menu selection tones and so hangs up on me (no provision for accessing a customer service rep or vioce recognition).
Any thoughts on how I can get my phone up and running while I am here?

I am moving from London to NYC for a year, will i be able to use my iPhone over there and insert a pay as you go sim?

I wondered if anyone can advise me on whether its possible to use my iPhone in NYC by getting a pay as you go sim in the US? Do companies offer pay as you go sims over there as i wont have a credit rating.

The only supported GSM carrier in the US is AT&T. They will not permit the use of pre-paid SIM cards in the iPhone.
You can sign up for monthly post paid service with them and use it just fine (assuming your existing phone is legitimately unlocked).
You can get pre-paid service with T-Mobile or any number of other regional GSM carriers, but not all features of the phone may work properly (or at all).

You can turn off Cell Data in the Settings. Your iPad should then not be able to connect to your cell service until you turn that setting back on.
