Using REST for complex RSS expressions

Hi
I have being trying to use the REST connector to receive complex data from an RSS feed but I am not having much luck.
I am looking to extract the url for the mp3 from the following rss feed
http://www.nasa.gov/rss/dyn/TWAN_podcast.rss
I am able to get some text items to display using different expressions but cannot get the mp3 url
this is what I have so far
Sort(First(TWAN_podcast_rss!channel)!channel!item,enclosure!'$attributes'!url)
But I get the warning saying "The property cannot consume the type of values that this rule produces.
could someone help me out if possible.

Hi Terje,
I was just providing Finley with screenshots for Anthony's examples from earlier in this thread. Since the URLs (in the second pic) point to the mp3 podcasts, you can bind them to an audio control to play the podcast for item selected in gallery:
You can also bind an image control to the image URL (shown below). This feed only contains a single image. If it had images at channel!item level, you could bind those to image controls within the gallery as well.

Using CARM for complex managed OTAP environments

To all
As all of you out there we have a Normal OTAP SAP street (GED/QAS/PRD) with a Solution manager and CHARM. So far so good.
We, as most company’s, have an Education system (GEO) for training users when new functional objects were implemented. Until now releases where transported through our OTAP street via Charm. When new objects should be trained the corresponding transports are loaded in the GEO system via TR STMS.
All’s well but thinking about this why can’t CHARM be used to do this?
Lets state a new function. So the Object is:
1 developed in GED
2 transported to QAS and tested
3 transported to PRD
All controlled by Charm, via the transport routs (STMS)
As this being a new function before transporting it to PRD, we import (by hand) in the Education system GEO. It can by under control of Charm but this route DEV/QAS/GEO/PRD is not always the case. Some time’s the route could be DEV/QAS/PRD/GEO or DEV/GEO/QAS/PRD. Or even only DEV/QAS/PRD.
This depends on a time factor, when they would like to start training users.
Can a flexible Project construction in CHARM towards this GEO system been build?
Is it possible to release the transports to GEO at a point in time when we want it. Or can a transport at QAS when approved, put them in GEP and GEO. All under control of CHARM

Have a look at the jboss web site for reference sites - someone has asked the same sort of question as yourself there. I don't know about the scalability etc personally as I've just started using it, but it does seem well designed. The documentation isn't as comprehensive as you might get from BEA or IBM, but then again, the server is free and the documentation costs $10, as opposed to paying $10000 for an app server. If you read the documents and ask good questions you will get up to speed with it. The support seems very good - as long as you ask an intelligent question ( there are a few threads in this forum about how to do that.)

Help again. I thought I would be able to easily go into LiveType to figure it out. I am wanting the text to appear without background (transparent slide with text) on the right part of my FCExpress video and make it appear by points like in a powerpoint. This sounds easy but I am obviously missing something. Instead of the text being like a column, it is a sentence in a long straight line. How do I make it like in a half screen text column?

I am trying to upgrade an old Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.3042.00 (Intel X86) Feb 9 2007 22:47:07 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Express Edition.
This one is SP2 as listed on http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.co.uk/ and I am trying to upgrade it to SP4.
However I get the error This edition do not qualify for upgrade, could anybody help?

Which installer have you used, may be this one here
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 4 RTM ? As you can see in the "Details" it applys only for the Commercial Editions, you can not use it for the free Express.
For Express Edition you have to use this one:

How to get permission of a sharepoint list for a user using REST api

I have a requirement where i need to check the access permission of a user against a List or Library only using REST api from my remote salesforce app. [I already have access token and I am able to view list, add item etc..]
Say for example, I have to send the list name and user name, and get the result as Read, Write, Contribute(Manage), None. I need to display what permission does that user have for that List.
How do I achieve this. Please help me.

How to get the list of parameter and set them using RESTFul WS for a Crystal Report

Hi All,
I am able to schedule a Crystal report using following POST Restful call - http://localhost:6405/biprws/infostore/4738/scheduleForms/now and with a request xml body. But report is failing because I am not passing the parameter.
But I need pass parameters/prompts to the Crystal report to execute successfully.
What is the request XML to pass the parameter for the report?
I was able to do this for WEBI reports but I am not able to find any way to do this for Crystal reports?
Any help on this matter is really appreciated.

Searching for values in a specific field using REST Search

To conduct a Search using REST...you only have the querytext parameter which searches all fields. How can I search within a specific field using REST?

You can use the following code as an example to post a query. The example shows how to search against the title managed property. It also shows you how to bring back certain properties for viewing and refiners. You can also do the same with a GET.

How can I copy the titles from a project volume one use them for the rest?

I'm editing a four DVD set, and would like to use the same opening titles and credits for each. How can I copy the titles from volume one and use them for the rest? Thank you.

Open the project that has the titles you want to use. Select (highlight) all the title clips you want, then right-click and choose COPY.
Open the new project(s), then paste the titles onto the Timeline.
Done.

I am using TOAD FOR ORACLE to export a table to flat file A. The tool just supports to distinguish fields by "spaces".
And the web page of ORACLE DATABASE 10G EXPRESS to import the data from flat file A to another database. To load data to a table from a text file, the web page bases on "comma" to distinguish fields.
So could you have any suggestion for me? I need to export data via TOAD FOR ORACLE. And then import it to another database by the home page of ORACLE DATABASE 10G EXPRESS or sqlplus.

Dont use TOAD for exporting your data. Use PL/SQL. Below is the code given in Asktom.com that does what you want.

I would advise proper punctuation and grammar on a public forum, but to answer your questions, yes, yes you can! Flash can be used to produce any commercial imagery or animations for the purpose of making profit, as long as you have a valid license you purchased from Adobe. You bought it, you can use it for whatever you want.
By "book", I assume you mean the "tutorial" book series made by Adobe? If so, the name of the series is "Classroom in a Book", there's one for each versions of Flash. Personally it hasn't been of much use and I would advise simply practicing by yourself and getting familiar with the tools. Look for online tutorials and publicly available projects and see how they work.

Ok, I did a bit more experimenting, and web searching, and found you are the victim of the UTF-8 BOM bug.
Basically the java UTF-8 reader does not recognise a BOM at the start of a UTF-8 stream, and it has to be discarded manually.
