Using the Photo/send a link/ function does not link to my address book

Having upgraded to FF4 using the Photo/your albums/send a link/ the 'To' data input line does not interact with my Hotmail Address Book.

This usually means that the address book data file is corrupt.
I'd suggest you export your misbehaving address book to an LDIF file, delete the original address book then re-import its data from the LDIF file.
Note that you won't be allowed to delete either ''Personal Address Book'' (PAB) nor ''Collected Addresses'' (CA) within Thunderbird. You'll have to close Thunderbird, open its profile and delete:
''abook.mab'' for PAB, or
''history.mab'' for CA.
When you next run Thunderbird, it'll create a new empty address book to replace the one you deleted. Import your address to a new temporary address book, then move the Contacts (drag-and-drop) into the preferred address book.

Hi My iPhone does not sync with Yahoo Address book. iTunes comes back with an error
"iTunes could not sync with Yahoo Address Book.Because an Internet connection not available"
This make no sense as I am conected to the internet. iTunes can acess the iTunes Store without a problem. I can also access the Web.

I ran into this problem just within the past couple of weeks. I found someting on another discussion group on the net about someone with the same problem. They said that it was because one of their notes was too long.
I looked at my notes and wouldn't you know it, I created a couple of extra long notes a couple of weeks ago! I deleted them and I am able to sync without errors again. I didn't know there was a size limit for a note on the iphone.
PS. I have an iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1, iTunes 10.6.3.25

I need to use the F12 key as a function key not as volume

I am using a DOS system for work and need to use the F12 key as a function key and not volume how to I do this....... frustrating!

Ipad will not turn on the screen is just black, using the hone and power buttom together does not fix it

If you can't reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing, connect it to your charger for at least 15 minutes then try resetting it again If it won't reset make an appointment with the Genius bar at a nearby Apple store to have it looked at.

Outlook 2010 / 2013 Send on Behalf of does not cache Resolved email address in the From Dropdown

This is insane Microsoft. Makes me wonder if you use your own product
Office 2013 / Exchange 2010
- Proper mail box permission
- Proper Send On Behalf of Permission
1. Open A Message > Select From > Choose Other Address > Choose From Again > Pick the Address (Which Resolves from GAL) Finish the Message and Send - No Problem
2. Start Another Message > Click the From drop down and the email is cached in unresolved SMTP format
"You do not have the permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user"
A Better message would be "Sorry Microsoft doesn't understand how to read it's own address book, properly cache an exchange email address and thinks 4 click is better than 1"
Sorry for the rant but if any one has a solution to this it would be much appreciated.
Notes:
- CTRL-K or Check Names Doesn't Resolve the From field
- You can send repeated On Behalf of as long as you don't the From Drop-down.
- Changing Address book order doesn't work
- Using Contacts as the Primary Address book doesn't work
- No Shortcut Quick Key to open "Open Send From Other-Email Address Programmatically" form
- Cant Use Quick Steps because From Field is not included

3. Customize the Ribbon
- Create A New Group
- Position New Group As Desired
- Choose Commands From (Select Macros)
- Drag Macros to Group
- Change Display Name and Choose Icon (Under Rename)

I did some more digging and I solved it.
This would be the solution:
In Active Directory Users and Computers
-Click on VIEW
-Click on ADVANCE FEATURES (this is important otherwise you won't see
the complete list in the next steps)
-Click on the USERS container
-Find the problem user's account
-Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
-Click on the SECURITY tab
-In the top box, click on the SELF account
-In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
INFORMATION & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION should both be checked for
ALLOW
If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.

Link button does not link to the right record.

I have created a matrix, and I have made one of the column type as link button. The matrix is loaded with Sales Quotation record, and the DocNo column is a link button. For example, when i pressed the link button of record with DocNo = 10, but the Sales Quotation form pop out is record with DocNo = 8, anyone encountered this problem??? anyone have any solutions on this???
I have tried this with other marketing document object, such as Sales Order and Invoice, the same problem occured... huh, one more thing, if i did not set the document numbering series, the code is working fine, once i set the document numbering series, then this problem will happen ... hope to hear from you guys ...thanks in advanced!!!

I suppose the reason of this behavior is that the link button relates using the DocEntry value, and not the DocNum fields value.
What we usually do is to have 2 columns, on the first the DocEntry, and in the second one the DocNum. Then we set the DocEntry Column´s width to 20, and then only the orange arrow is shown.
This way, you get the behavior and appearance you need.

"Related Names" Does Not Sync From Apple Address Book to iOS 4 Address Book

I keep a very detailed address book and have just realized that the "related names" field does not sync from my Mac to my iPhone. Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the iTunes syncing and the software, or am I doing something wrong? If this is a limitation, does anyone know a work around? This is important information for me to have on the go.

Oops -- I just had to turn iCloud on in the System settings on the iPhone, then the Contacts synched.

Set both Defringe Amount to 0 (i.e. Both Defringe OFF) and check the 'Remove Chromatic Abberration' box just above the Defringe controls. If chromatic aberration is still present (green fringe) try manually adjusting the 'Green Hue Amount sliders ONLY.

I have a re-furbished Mac Book 2011. It's version 10.8.5. Processor - 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Memory - 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Startup disk - Mac HD.
I want to do a complete re-install of the operating system.
I have followed the instructions in the online manual to go to the Mac OS X utilities screen so I can do a re-install.
I have held the Command key with the R key when the grey screen comes on during a restart.
The only thing I get is the desktop screen but no Utilities screen.
Help.

That MacBook came with 10.6.7 originally. It should have Snow Leopard install DVD to do what you.
It is too old to have the Recovery Partition on it.
If you did get the DVD when you purchased it you can call Apple and request a replacement. They will charge you a nominal fee for shipping and handling.

While written for the iPhone, the troubleshooting below can help resolve issues with your iPad's camera, as well.
Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

For the annotations to display on the photo in iPhoto you must setup Preview as the external editor in iPhoto via iPhoto's Advanced preference pane.
After adding the annotations just do a Save. iPhoto will then recognize the change via a new modified version. You can revert to the original at any time if you want to get rid of the text.

No, it stays with the current OS (iOS5 in this case) - Apple doesn't allow downgrading iOS
If you are syncing to a desktop, you shoudln't lose anything. If you aren't syncing, then that's the first thing you should do, to protect contacts etc.
the other thing is, when the iPad is connected to iTunes, right-click its name in the Devices list and choose Back Up.
That way, when yoiu do the restore, everything should come back as was.
