Using UME to to get permissions to do stuff....

Hi,
I have a project that consumes several web services.
I'm trying to control the access to those WS's using UME.
I've read the "Protecting Access to the Web Dynpro Car Rental Application Using UME Permissions" tutorial which refers me to few classes:
com.sap.security.api.permissions.NamePermission
com.sap.security.api.permissions.ActionPermission
com.sap.security.api.permissions.ValuePermission
the problem is that I don't have those classes.... nor do I have the package com.sap.security.api.permissions....
Any suggestions?

Add this to your class path: WD_RUNTIME/com.sap.security/lib/com.sap.security.api.jar
WD_RUNTIME is a default variable, just extend it and
select com.sap.security->lib->com.sap.security.api.jar

List used to add permissions to InfoPath form updated, but people removed from the list still getting permissions.

I have a list that gives users Contribute permission to an InfoPath form during a workflow action. This list has changed, and I have added and removed users from it. The people who I've added are getting permissions, but the people I removed are STILL getting
permissions, even though they are nowhere on the list. What could be happening? I would greatly appreciate any help!

I must not be explaining this very well, and I apologize for that.
These are time sheets we're working with, so each user needs a certain set of people to approve and review his/her time sheets. The workflow we have running on each time sheet created reads which department the user is in, matches them with the row that
contains the field "department" that matches their department, and gives permission to all of the users in the remaining fields TS Approvers and TS Reviewers. If I update these fields at all, the new users in these fields get permissions for that department's
time sheets, but the people I removed from these fields do not stop getting permissions. It's as if there is a cached copy of the list which is being used by the workflow to assign permissions. This list will fluctuate, so it is not a viable solution to keep
running powershell scripts to remove people from each of these items after they have been removed from the list.

Not authorized to use UME application

Greetings, we have installed the Solution Manager 4.0 on AS ABAP+Java. The installation and post install completed successfully. We updated the SP6 to SP7. During the post installation, we performed a client copy using 001 as our source client i.e. 001 -> 100. Per note, 937323, we followed the required steps to change the assignment of Java part to another client, 'Changing the AS ABAP Backend System'.
Now, when logging on to the UME application, we get an error message of 'You are not authorized to use the UME config editor.' and 'You are not assigned to this application'.

Could be many things, we should start with this...

I have just now read some tutorial about Trusted Applet and not even experimented one. So my knowledge is absolutely zero.
I would like to use Trusted Applets in my environment which I describe below:
I have a database server on a Linux machine. On the same machine I have Apache web server. I want to deploy an applet in the Apache server so that all my clients can use it with a web browser. I want my applet to get permissions to connect to the database and retrieve the results etc., when any client uses my applet by connecting to the Apache server.
According to what I understand from the Trusted Applet tutorial, they are used in an exactly opposite environment, meaning: to get permissions on the client machine to access the local file system etc., and their purpose is not to get permissions on the server.
Could anyone please give me some detailed instructions on how to use Trusted Applet in my environment.

would love to...way over my head so far...upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 - I have another MAC (motorola chipset...maybe 10.6?) and 3 PCs on the network...the older MAC linked up through the network just fine...
I can see the Yosemite MAC on the PCs...I can open customer file folders (I am a printer) from the shared drive...I can drag files (let's just call them PDFs, they mostly are) to the MAC customer file...but if I try to open them from the PC I get an error message that says permission denied - or may be in use by another user. There are no other users. After I uploaded to Yosemite, I noticed most if not all drives and or folders had permissions changed to either no access or to read only...I've changed as many as I could find...drives, and folders...I can open those same files if I'm on the yosemite mac...Here's the catch, though...I was on a different floor and that PC can open a PDF on the Yosemite...but the RIP that prints our large format prints now won't print those files (whole RIP locks up) unless they are first dragged to the PC desktop...then all is fine. I thought it was MAC upgrade oriented, but I do have a PC that halfway works...I'm really stymied...

Get Permissions yields always 511 or 365 and owner and group null

I am trying to solve a write permission problem on a NTFS (Windows2003) server and on my local computer. There are various folders on the server, for which I do or do not have write permissions. Using "Get Permissions" I am trying to decide, whether I am allowed to write there some data or not -- to avoid any error message. Running Get Permissions on both kinds of folders yields "511", which means. I do have a write permission (right?). There is no difference, between the two results, but in practice writing into one of these folders results in error.
Experiment: I created a folder locally, for which I removed all of my permissions. Currently I cannot open, write, or delete this folder. But Get Permissions still says that the folder has 511 permissions, i.e., write permissions for the executing user. Why? What could go wrong? What am I seeing wrong?

it seems like the VI is not as powerful as you want it to. The help to "Setting Permissions" states:
...This structure is based on the Linux permission bits that govern read, write, and execute permissions for users, groups, and others.
(Windows) Use of the permissions parameter is very limited on non-Linux operating systems. You can use permissions to change only write permissions for users (bit 7); the operating system ignores all other changes to the bits....

Can anyone tell me how to use Display Dialog to get back a date?
I am using the following code that does not work. It does not accept anything. And I have searched high and low for an answer to my question and found nothing.

The code is based on what I found in AppleScript 1-2-3 (page 300). It shows examples for getting text and numbers but not one for dates.
For what it is worth, my goal is to create a script that will convert an email from Evernote into an iCal Reminder. To do so, I want to ask the user (myself) for the reminder's date and time. I am assuming I need to ask for each separately. I also assume that once I get the date and time for the reminder, it should be relatively straightforward to 'make' a 'todo' with an alarm.
