Utilizing APEX 4.2 mobile picture upload issue, undefined white page.

1 Use your phone (I have iphone)
2 go to http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=64562 in your browser demo/demo4u
3 type a number in for the id (PK)
4 click load image
5 take picture
6 choose use
7 wait for load to server
8 click create
9 after create, click download
10 results in a blank white page with the word undefined.
If you remove the reference on the end of the url you can get the picture to show. This does not go over very well with customers.

I made the change and the problem still exist. Give it a go.
The odd part is that after you get undefined, if you do a refresh of the page the picture shows up and you get stuck in a strange state of hitting the back button that eventually lands you back on a application page.
Nice, but not something I could move to production.

Export Next Page Zoom and Search Issues - blank/white page freezes report

I'm using a vendor product that uses Crystal Reports Viewer for .NET v13.0 on a 64-bit windows 2008 server.
Everthing works fine in the vendor's environment but when I installed it on my servers when I try and Export, click next page, zoom or search I get a plain white overlay over the normal UI and it freezes the report.
Specifically if I click the export icon for a split second I can see the export dialog show up but it's immediately covered up by a white page that is the same size as the export dialog. The rest of the report is shaded gray as normal but it freezes that way. If I click on the gray area then hit ESC it goes back to normal, but I can't export anything.
Same basic behavior when I click Next or try and search for text. A small progress window shows but is white only then, I can't hit ESC and have to close the report out.
With zoom if I click on the zoom drop-down I see the zoom choices for a split-second but it's again covered over by whiteness.
I've searched through this forum quite a bit and can't find any similar issues. I can see all other graphics just fine and this same server was working fine with the 2008 version in the past. Are there any temp directories or special permissions required?

Hi Tony,
If it is an install issue there should be a log folder that may indicate if there was a problem.
They really need to dig into the problem, if they have questions pass them along or if they have support with us they can create a case to help debug the issue.
You may want to search hear also, there have been a few post on this question but not sure what the results are.

The enhanced picture uploaded for ebay is not visible in Firefox but is in IE

I sell on ebay and like using the enhanced picture uploader. I still able to use this uploader on IE but Firefox does not even allow ebay to show it as an option. I am very new to Firefox so I am certain it is a setting I need to change. Any and all assistance is very much appreciated.

Need help aligning form elements in APEX 4.2 mobile theme

Hi,
In the APEX 4.2 mobile theme, whenever I create a form, it will lose alignment when I have mixed text inputs and textarea inputs as my iPhone 4s is turned horizontally. The label of the textarea inputs jammed and the field doesn't align with other text inputs.
Is there any solution for that?

I am interested in all Web Based Applications including Apex on Mobiles.

I have been using apex applications on mobiles since 2005.
There are several issues depending on the mobile you have and the software you use:
if the mobile is using wap, then you must create "apex pages" as procedures outputting wml, something that Apex doesn't do out of the shelf, which mean writing WML code in a non-declarative manner and stuff it into the PL/SQL procedures. And at the end of the day Apex enters very little in this area.
if the mobile is sort of windows mobile machine, then Opera Mini is by far the best option.
I have been using IE for mobile and it works well with apex sites without AJAX stuff and "vanilla Javascript".
For instance, Apex SQL Workshop doesn't work very well with the current versions of IE mobile as far as my experience was.
There are also some issues with the layout and font sizes, depending on how you set up the mobile, so you may need to adjust some parameters if you see an awkward layout on the display.
I believe that many of these problems could be solved by delivering pages adapted for mobiles by means of dedicated CSS stylesheets and heavy usage of conditional page elements, depending on the browser type, the screen resolution and so on, a rather expensive exercise probably.

I am facing wifi and mobile 2G signal issue after upgrading to IOS 6 from IOS 5 in IPhone 3GS. The mobile carrier signal as well as WIFI suddenly drops zero and are then restored automatically. Sometimes i cannot conenct to WIFI even standing infront of WIFI router. Please help, restoring setting even didn't helped.

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)

Picture Upload only works in IE

I created a picture upload routine to allow users to store their picture in the DB. The routine works fine in IE, but not in any other browsers. Am I missing something? Here is what I did:

As the note says, some servers will let you upload files with spaces in their names, and some will not. Names without spaces will always work.
In iWeb, the name you give to a site or page is the same as the name of the folder or file associated with it. So to avoid spaces in folder or file names, you need to omit them in the site and page names, or replace by hyphen or underscore.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

Lightroom mobile trial expired issue

I have CC Master and in my installation of Lightroom, it only tells "Lightroom Mobile Trial Expired". Same in iPad. "Your trial period has ended"
I installed it way back almost right away, when it was announced. I also posted a note on a forum about this, and the guy said this would be fixed well before trial was over.
I mean: come on! Someone already said that this is a thing Adobe is working on and that it should be resolved well before trial period is over. Well it is not!
Could you please fix this. I am fed up with all the crap I have been having with CC subscription. Not the first time I have had issues with it. Once I spent two hours with chat tech support trying to fix something that should have been just working.
Crappy, crappy, crappy work, Adobe. I am losing my faith here, and I am not alone.

Margaret, Mobile is only available to CC subscribers because it needs the cloud as the mechanism for syncing between Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile.
Maybe they could say it more explicitly, but the necessity of CC membership is pretty clearly implied (several times) by this page:

Droid DNA Mobile Data Connectivity Issues

 I have the HTC Droid DNA, about 6 weeks old, and for some reason my phone has randomly started to lose connection to mobile data. I've never dropped it or spilled anything on it, so I don't understand why this is happening. I've tried turning my phone off and on again, changing the preffered network to global and back to LTE, and removing and re-inserting the SIM card..but it still randomly happens. My phone can be fine for a week and then it will randomly just disconnect from mobile data again.
 My first question is why do I pay for this when I have to sometimes wait for more than an hour for mobile data to come back? My second question is does anybody else with the DNA get this problem? I realize that when you have Wi Fi activated it would automatically disconnect you; however, this isn't related to my issue. I've turned Wi Fi off and that's when I get the mobile data disconnected issue. This HAS to be corrected. I'm not paying over $100 a month for data when I can't even use it when I need to.
