Hi,
if a manager is on vacation and wants to assign a deputy :
In EP 6.0, there was a tab rider "Deputy"
I can't find something similiar in Ep 7.0
Any help is rewarded

Problems are known for SPS08, see SAP note 812079.
The english expression within the portal is "Substitute".

1/ is there a possibility to send a request for approvel to the UWL task list or only to the CUP task list?
2/ is there a restriction of opening a request for another user based on an organizational assignment? (the requestor will be able to open a request for a user who is in the same HR org unit as the requestor)

I am using Role mapping in my company.
Our need for role mapping is due to our CUA composite structure containing shell roles with pointers (RFC target destinations) to the child systems containing single roles with authorisations.
Mapping overcame a limitation in RAR to analyse the authorisations obtained through RFC pointers.
So far we have only used a sample set of composites with singles mapped to them but will be uploading thousands next week.
The potential issues you face depend on your authorisation concept in use.
For example, in your mapping reflects your Composite/Single Role assignment, then you will face the following.
Adding a composite using CUP will also add the singles mapped to the composite. So in the CUA system you will see the same single role twice, one in blue (assigned via composite) and one in black (assigned via CUP Mapping).

Background job fails for BDC profile creation and role assignment

Hi Experts,
I have created a BDC Function module for Tcode 'PFCG' for profile creation and role assignment, and called this FM in my zprogram. the problem is that when i run this program in foreground it executes succesfully, but if i schedule it in background it fails throwing error in job log 'Role 'Z...' does not contain any active authorizations'. But i have created one more program to create authorization objects which runs before this zprogram.I have also checked the authorization object in 'RSECADMIN', it reflects active. I dont understand whats happening exactly when it runs background.
Below is the process of job
 1. ZMIS_AUTH_OBJECT_CREATE
 Variant : auth-create
 2. ZMIS_AUTH_ASSIGN_TO_ROLE
 Variant : auth-assign
The problem is in second program, runs in foreground but fails in background.

I have maintained the B and F combination in the customization.
But when I am creating the PR using item category B with account assignment F (order) and after pressing enter, this account assignment F vanished from the PR and that field also turns in to gray mode. So system is not allowing to use u2018Fu2019 with B item category.
Have you used or tested this scenario of using combination item category B with account assignment F (order) in PR and PO.

The other difference are in account assignment table, you didn't fill SERIAL_NO field.

Item category and Account assignment category field grayed out in PR/PO

Hello all,
While making a PR/PO we use both the item category and account assignment category. However, after saving the PR/PO, when i try to change the fields through ME22N/ME52N, the fields are greyed out. I dont think this can be controlled through the layout screen.
Is there anyway the fields can be made modifiable in ME22N/ME52N ?

Hi,
Well, actually you can control the Field settings in customization of Document Type. Check the following :
Go to SPRO>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define screen layout at document level
Click on the desired Document Type and see if the Field selection for Item Cat and Acct Assignment is checked for Display for that Document Type. If it is then change it to Optional.
Now, Go to SPRO>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define Document Type and see if the Field Selection Key is assigned to the (Updated just now) document Screen layout.

How to add 1 more column in standard portal UWL and map the values.

I have one issue/requirement, please help me out on that also.
In portal UWL, i want to add one more column TICKET ID COLUMN, and ticket id value I will be putting as work item ID of abap Workflow, so whenever approver opens his portal UWL, in first column i want to show ticket ID say 00012345, so how to add this ticket ID column in standard portal UWL and how to put/map value of work item in that column.
My idea behind this is, when ever say employee wants to know the status about his ticket ID, he can simply ask his manager regarding the ticket status by referring to that ticket ID which manager can easily find in his portal UWL in that extra TICKET ID COLUMN .
Do I have to change anything in SAP inbox also ? Do i have to add 1 more colum in sap R/3 inbox also ? and will adding 1 more colum in sap inbox (R/3 inbox), will create automatically one more ticket ID colum in portal UWL also ?
please let me know , as i do not want to add 1 extra column in R/3 inbox, just i want in portal UWL extra ticket ID column should come and i want to put workitem ID generated at the start of workflow, in that colum in portal UWL

Hi Satyam,
These are called custom attributes. Here is a powerpoint that may be able to assist you with the documentation that the other poster gave you too.
Always remember too when you make a change on the backend R/3 side, you must reregister your UWL connector. And yes, the column must be available on the backend R/3 side. We can't create on the fly columns in the UWL, that have no reference to the backend system in this case.

Report to see user type and roles assigned to users in EP?

a) Is there any reporting mechanism in EP? Any specific report which throws up user types and roles assigned to the users? There is an option of 'Export' in the user management role but unfortunately it does not give information on User Type.
b) If the group is assigned a role, How can we see ( in any report) the roles assigned to a group? In the 'export' option of the 'User Management' this information does not come.

By default Portal UME comes along with the installation of portal.
Sometimes we may integrate external users using LDAP. At that time users come from ABAP stack or some active directories. But you can also create users in the portal UME. The purpose of using LDAP is to maintain the users centrally rather than creating again in portal.
You can check them in user administration->identity management and search for the users.
THere you can see some users will be from UME and some from LDAP.
User Admin tool is nothing but User Administration only.

BAPI_PO_CREATE1 for blocked item and account assignment category Q

I am facing an issue while creating PO with items which are blocked ie LOEKZ = 'S', and account assignment category 'Q'.
Though I fill wbs element in POACCOUNT and POACCOUNTX structures, after execution it is being erased and am getting an error: "Enter WBS Element" with an information message "Change G/L Account could not be effected".

*For technical reasons, the entries cannot be fully specified in the change request. There are two possible reasons for this:*

I got the same message trying to make an entry in SPRO:
Define Backend System for Product Category
I found the note 305942 describing exactly the issue for my and above mentioned entry, which offers the correction, then the note 326802 which offers the correction of the first notes. However, both notes are for Releases 4.6C and D (from 2000), and we are using EHP2 FOR SAP SRM 7.0.
I see another discussions in SCN regarding this topic, but haven't found real solution yet. Any hints? At least the answer to previous question from Sharan would be appreciated.

When we are creating a sales order with material ABCD, then in material line item -->under Billing Document Tab --> in Accounting screen, there is field Acct asgnmt grp (Account Assignment Group).
From where we can assign between Material and Account Assignment Group, after that it automatically pick in sales order creation.

Is this possible? How can I Make It?

SC with combination of Limit and account assignment category as unknown(U)

Hi,
We are at SRM 5.5, Please let me know is it possible to create SC with combination of Limit and account assignment category as unknown(U) then PO with same combination and distrribution of cost to different cost centers at the time of confirmation from SRM side.
Please guide me processs of the same in steps
