UWL detail iView for workflow --- removing attachment link

Hi All,
I have implemented the UWL iView and it is working fine. Now I have a requirement where in I have to remove the attachment link that appear in the UWL iview.
Is it possible ? If it is then please let me know how ?

Dynamically select detail report for a master report link item or button?

I'm still new to APEX, so apologies if this sounds like a stupid question, but so far I can't find anything online about how to do the following.
I have a simple report, and I want to be able to drill down from here to a detail report via a link item (or a button) in each row. The problem is that the specific detail report to use depends on a combination of values in the parent record.
So if I have a parent record in the master report with values for columns 1/2/3 of A/B/C, I would drill down to a detail report against table X. If my parent record has values of D/E/F, I might drill down to a different detail report against table Y.
I can build the individual reports easily enough, and I can set up a link item in the master report to drill down to a hard-coded detail report page. I can even generate the name (alias) of the relevant target report as an extra non-DB item in each row of the parent report. But I can't figure out how to allow each row in the parent report to actually link to a different detail report dynamically, depending on the contents of the parent row.
Can anybody suggest an easy way to do this, or point me towards an online resource that would explain how to do this (preferably in basic terms that this APEX-newbie can understand)?

Hi,
When you say "Detail report" do you just mean a normal report of the child records for the selected master record or a tabular form style "Details report"?
Using different reports on a page would, typically, depend on the value in a hidden page item - for example, P1_REPORT_TYPE. Your link could pass an appropriate value into this item and the second page would then use this as a Condition for each of the report regions - each region being conditionally displayed when the hidden item is a specific value.

Remove attachment link from standard task

I want to get rid of the attachment for a standard task TS90100038 - Approve trip. In our scenario we want PDF instead of the transaction screen. I am able to pull PDF but, Its showing up two attachments on the task. I am not able to get rid of the attachment that points to PR04.

1)You can also delete it whenever you fetch it in your task remove binding of attachobject container from method to task or task to WF contaier as per your Requirement this will help you.
2)or you can create custom BO of supertype your current Standard BO using SWO1 and then made custom method using existing Std. method and remove that stmt. which attach that document which you don't want.

How to remove attachment link from header!!

Hi All,
I have created a Process in CAF-GP design time workbench. There are 5-6 actions/process steps in this process. End user is accessing this process through Web Dynpro iView in portal.When the end user access the actions/process activities steps of this process, a link called 'Attachments' is displayed to him/her. By following that link, user can create attachments in that step. I want to hide/disable that link. Is it possible to do it somehow through configuration? If not how should I proceed?

I have no experience with that particular software but such things are usually garbage. There has been at least one crash report attributed to it and it may not be compatible with Mavericks.
Edit: I can find no obvious way to uninstall it from perusing its website. If you contact them (phone number is 510 771 1717) do not permit them to remotely access your Mac. That is an invitation for illicit activity and even more trouble.
AVG may demand money from you to help eradicate their junk from your Mac. If they do, refuse. If you don't get anywhere with them write back for suggestions.

Create/Edit button on Items Detail Iview very very slow

Hi,
I created a MDM resultset iview and MDM Item Details Iview for a very large table. When I click on the create or edit button on the Item Details iview, it keeps running and never finishes. This table has many fields and has many records but on the iview itself I am just displaying not more than 10 fields.
When I created an item details iview for another small table, I can create and edit the records in no time. But for the above table, it takes for ever to Edit/Create.
Can anybody tell me what the issue could be?

Hi Laxmi,
The portal is just the front end replicating the processes of the backend system in your case the MDM system.
Using the MDM repository with large number of records will cause a delay in creting or editing or even selcting records when operatings these functions from the MDM Data manger it self.
In that case EP is just replicating this issue on the front end.
As you have rightly mentioned that for smaller number of records in the MDM rep the function swork faster.It clearly indicates that even if you select less number of fields to be displayed on the front end,the backend still contains the large set of fields which needs to be processed,and this consume stime.
To fasten your process on both the backend end and the front end systems you need to correctly design the data model and the fields properties which will improve the performance.

Display MDM key mapping information in EP Item Detail iViews

Hi,
in my repository I have the main table 'customer' including key mapping information for several client systems (master data consolidation scenario).
The customer data is diplayerd in EP using the Item Details iView. I'd additionally like to display the key mapping information in Item Details iView, for example as a separate tabstrip. Is this feature already supported by the Item Details iView? How can I implement it?
I'm using MDM 5.5 SP3 / EP6.0 SP14.

Hi Martin,
Currently iView do not support the functionality to disply the key mapping information.
Workaround I implemented is that, added a field "source system" to main table with type lookup. Added lookup table "source systems" with list of names of client systems. This helps user search data based on client system name.

Am working on a Custom workflow assignment.
This is the first time, customer is working on workflows in this system.
Henceforth, we need to do basic setup/configuration, before starting actual work.
I want to know, what all Roles/authorizations are required for my userid throughout the assignment.
Currently, we have got,
EXX_BC_SAP_ALL_RESTRICTED :: All authorization without basis
SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_ADMIN::Administrator for Business Workflow
SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_DEVELOPER::Developer for Business Workflow
SAP_SWFMOD_ADMIN::Workflow Modeler Administrator
Are these sufficient or do we need any other roles?
With above authorizations, i am unable to access below mentioned t-codes,

SWU3                             Automatic Workflow Customizing
SWWCOND_INSERT     Schedule background job for work item deadline monitoring
SWWCLEAR_INSERT     Schedule background job for clearing tasks
Pls let me know the role, i need to get for above t-codes.

I recommend you to have roles related to SWLD tcode (SAP menu Workflow). The basis must know what are the exact names.

Delete Attachment link and the launchWebdynpro button in the UWL iview

Can anyone help me in deleting or hiding the Attachment link and the launchWebdynpro button in the UWL iview. I dont want to do it in the iview properties which would affect all the tasks. Is there a way I can do it in the backend.\

I have the same problem. How can I remove the link? After I called the mentioned function module, the attachment was removed (content) but in the UWL the file name is still there:
From UWL:
myFile.pdf by WF-BATCH (94 kb)
myDeletedFile.pdf   <-- I removed this one with the function module

Object visualization to open attachment link in UWL decision task workitems

We are using Object Visualization (in t-code SWFVISU) to open an I-view when you click the attachment link in decision task workitems. I sort of have this working. My issue is that I need to pass parameters to the I-view. I'm not sure how to do that. I've seen some documentation on dynamic parms in SWFVISU (DYNPARM) but I don't see that option (maybe we are on an older version). Maybe we can via XML files? I've done Task visualization and edited xml files but I'm not sure if we can do similar code for object visualization. Does anyone know how to do this? Have any samples/documentation?

Remove Hyper link from UWL ITems

How to remove Hyperlink from the UWL items list? Is that possible?
I have list of tasks in UWL and I do not want to give hyper link to the end users since they already ahve "View Detail" Button on UWL, Please help how to hide or remove hyper link?

In the UWL configuration, you specify the default action for a UWL item using the attribute "defaultAction".
This default action is performed when you click on the UWL item.
You can set any of the available actions as the default action for the UWL item.
As mentioned by Karri, it is usually not common to disable the hyperlink of a UWL item and make it non-clickable.
However, if you would like to achieve this, you can identify and check the UWL configuration file being used for the given UWL item and modify it as below:
<ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.decision.TS20000999.MYUWL_SYSTEM" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="yourDefaultView" defaultAction="dummyAction" executionMode="default">
<ItemTypeCriteria
Since dummyAction is something UWL doesn't recognize, the hyperlink should be disabled.
You might have to do this for all the UWL item types you use.

Workflow attachment link issue

Hi Friends,
We have a query-
An attachment is sent in workflow to a person.
There are three reminders to the manager but he misses all and now when he looks into the workitem he can see the workflow but when he clicks on the link for an attachment(attachment is displayed as link) he is not able to open the page for attachment.
Can you tell me what may be problem or how to rectify the problem.
Please note that the workflow can still be seen in process but the reminders are missed, the only problem is with attachment link which cannot be opened by user.
we can see the attachment in R/3 but not on portal why is it only for 1 user.

In the Output, I want to REMOVE File Attachment Link in Navigation Pane. Is it Possible to do that?
I know that we can completely hide Navigation Pane, but i need to remove only file attachment.

To my knowledge, this is not possible. You can hide/show the entire toolbar. But not a specific item for security reasons.

How to Change Layout for Detail iview.

Hi KM Gurus
I need to know , where to change the Layout set for Detail Iview.
Briefly saying....
1. In KM under /documents ,i have a Folder by the name "MY_FOLDER"
2. On click of the "Detail" wedge -
> we get by default the screen of layout similar to [View -->Overview ]
All i am looking is , instead of Overview, i want the Feedback layout as default on click of the "Detail" wedge of Folder.
Note : take a note on MY_FOLDER ---> Details --> View --> Overview / Feedback..

An Overview is hardcoded as default (initial) screen of the Details Dialog Box.
Thereby, out of the box KM Configuration allows you to:

define which areas appear in the standard overview in the right-hand screen area. You can also change the sequence of the areas. For example, you can always display feedback at the very top, and hide public comments. MIRO Workflow: Attachment link not opening

Hi guys.
One of my users can execute transaction code MIR4 to display a MIRO invoice.
But when it comes to workflow, they CANNOT display the Invoice when they click on the attachment link. What I know is the method in the workflow calls transaction code MIR4 to display the invoice.
Does anyone know what the problem is or what other authorisations or roles this user should have?

If the perticular user is able to view the Invoice through MIR4 directly Not through the workflow
means,
if this problem is facing a single user
Please check what roles has been assigned to that perticular user , their might be authorization problem .
If this problem is facing all the users means please check whether your are facing correct Invoice no or not.
