UWL TS12300097

hi,
we have a problem with the task TS12300097 and the implementation in the uwl.
The visualation parameters in the hr-sap-system (transaction SWFVISU) are:
APPLICATION : LeaveRequestApprover
PACKAGE : sap.com/ess~lea
Then we regenerate the UWL XML files from UWL configuration.
After start the iview in the uwl, we get the error:

ESS TM Management WS12300111 doesn't start

Hello!
we are facing the following problem regarding the Leave Request approving phase using the work flow above mentioned.
We had configured the kind of TM request that have to be manage via portal under back-end customization features (Personnel Management u2192 Employee Self-Service u2192 Service-Specific Settings u2192 Working Time u2192 Leave Request u2192 Processing Processes):
-> Create Rule Groups
-> Define Processing Processes for Each Rule Group with Next Agent = last agent, then line manager
-> Specify Processing Processes for Types of Leave (set work flow WS12300111 as approve method).
WS12300111 is active and configured as standard task
TS12300097 is configured as standard task and in transaction SWFVISU is linked with approver leave web dynpro.
The problem is that after we insert via portal the leave request, into the manager UWL task we didn't have the related approval item and we are not able to establish if the WF has been started. We are not able to understand if is a WF running failure or a approver failure because it's impossible to track the trace for this kind of WF.
For approver determination we are implemented the badi PT_GEN_REQ and correctly see the approver into the specific leave request dynpro field.
We also tryed to use our custom wf template linking this one with the customizing but we get the same result.
Does anybody help us.

We are not able to launch approval leave request associated with UWL TS12300097 decisional item because we didn't get the task into the manager portal MSS UWL interface.
We discovered that the decisional item didn't have the actor set even if we set this value during the approver determination process launched by leave request web dynpro.

UWL: The request cannot be started from the Business Workplace?

Hi All
Please assist I am currently trying to execute the standard leave request approval within the UWL.
This is the standard leave approval screen for workflow template WS12300111.
I get the below error in a SAP ECC easy web screen.
The request cannot be started from the Business Workplace
Message no. HRTIM_ABS_REQ066
Can anyone give me any insight to this as I have made multiple changes tothe UWL config.

BY seeing the error message I think you might have not registered the task in the Portal, as you are have mentioned easy web screen
1. When ever you are trying to execute the workitem from the UWL and you are able to See the SBWP SAP inbox in the browser then it means that the task of the workflow is not registered in the portal.
2. Please ask your portal team to register the task in UWL with corresponding visualization parameters.

You cannot execute a leave workitem from the Inbox. if you try to execute then it prompts the error message that you have mentioned.
Try to do check all the below points.
1. Check whether the task TS12300097 is registered in the SWFVISU txn it should be using a Java Application. with the parameters
APPLICATION     LeaveRequestApprover
DYNPARAM     wi_id=${item.externalId}
PACKAGE     sap.com/ess~lea
2. Second thing is make the task as General Task from the PFTC txn. so that the agent can approve
3. Ask the portal guys to register this task in the XML file where all the application specific task's are registred. and then try to execute the workitem, this time it will show you the leave request application.

Cannot see SWFVISU tasks in Portal UWL after re-registering

Hi,
I am using EP7.01 SP3, ESS 1.0 SP 15, ECC6.
I do not see the tasks listed in SWFVISU in UWL even after registering the system alias in UWL Administrator. I have registered the alias on webflow connector, cleared cache. Logged off,
logged on and I still dont see the tasks.
I additionaly went to R3 transaction SWU_OBUF and synchronized the runtime buffer.
Then registered on UWL Admin, cleared cache.
Any ideas on this?

Im trying this directly on the HR Portal.

I need to find a solution for this, but as a workaround is it possible to add the leave itemtypes(there are 3 item types for leave) to the current UWL. For example:

CRM Tasks in Portal UWL

Hello Everyone,
Specific question for everyone. It is possible to use the UWL to pull in Tasks from CRM 7.0 into the portal. However, when the tasks are launched, I would the details NOT to be displayed in the SAPGUI HTML but in the CRM 7.0 BSP.
Anyone do this before?

When applying leave, the workflow template is triggered and processed to task TS12300097. In this task, we use customized rule to find agent.
In Universal Worklist, we can do the approval process and after approved, the leave requests status is changed. But the problem is the approval task is still in the UWL, status is still new and the workflow template gets stuck at this step.
The description of TS12300097 said: Once you have processed the request, the work item will automatically be set to "completed." automatically be set to "completed."
And we can not find out why our leave request is not behave like that. Please kindly advise the possible reason.

FPN XSS - issues with UWL on consumer portal

Hi UWL gurus,
We are trying to implement FPN with ESS/MSS installed on one of the producers. I'm trying to configure the UWL in the consumer and copied the ESS and MSS roles from producer into the consumer as similar location. So the UWL tasks that refers to the roles work fine, but there are tasks that launch WD Java app deployed in the producer as well as few OBN based tasks. What should I do to get them working?
FYI, all our portals are NW 7.01 SP7

I have already done both the items you have listed, but when I click on a task I get "Page not found" error as the business package is not installed on the consumer. I went through SAP Help documentation

and created RDL to the ESS and MSS roles - now all the role based tasks work fine, but there are some WDJ (eg TS12300097) and OBN (eg TS20700091) based tasks that are still not working and I can not figure out how to resolve those.

UWL Action name="viewDetail"

I have created a custom UWL for displaying HR tasks only. Everything is working fine, but the details view is not showinng by default. Instead, a button View Detail appears and when clicked the details open in a new window. In my ItemType I have written the following:

Change sort order of UWL items at Launch WebDynpro iview

In my Universal Worklist, wen i click on Launch WebDynpro button, the list of leaves displaying in a pop-up.
But all the things r dispalying in ascending order. How can i sort it in Descending order. Do i need any customization for this or any standard procedure is available.
Kibldy guide me to solve this issue

UWL Workitem item shows multiple Leave Request for Approval

Dear All ,
I ahve modified standard workflow for leave WS12300111 . I have 2 levels of approval . The step which goes to approver is standard task TS12300097 which is calling DUMMY method of CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS class .
Now my problem is suppose 100 people have applied for the leave after managers approval it workitem will go to HR . So in HR's UWL he/she will have 100 workitem . Now supose HR clicks on first workitem in by logging in to ESS . when HR clicks on pop-up comes on the top it has one table sort of thing , here all the 100 leave request r getting diplayed .
I want Table to dislay only the Leave request of an employee belonging to That workitem. Please help in this regard .

You will need to modify the UWL XML file. There is a document titled "How to Configure teh Universal Worklist" on service.sap.com you can use to achieve this. Read the section titled Step by Step Decision views.

UWL Mass Approval XML changes or Custom App

Dear Gurus,
Please help us in understanding the solution to mass approval issue. Shall we go for XML changes or go for a new custom development in wda/wdj
I have tried modifying XML method for leave approval but the issue is :
1. Tasks drop off from manager UWL with success message but the workflow goes to cancelled step and does not update the status of the employee request from sent to approved. can this be handled by workflow guys.
2. On doing XML changes in both views(normal and subview for mass approval), I lost hyperlinks on my workitems , so I could not launch any application even in the main view where approver shall approve items one by one.
I need help to understand if the above 2 issues can be addressed.
Further we have more than 10-12 types of approvals in our UWL down the line. So is it a good idea to configure XMl or just go and create 1 Master custom applicaiton to address all approvals and give mass approval facility in that alone.

we have been successful in writing our custom FM and we are calling the standard FM's in our abap box. leaves get approved on executing the custom FM from R3. however from portal UWL, still we are getting the same error message. I think our portal is not able to call the ABAP FM.

Workitems in UWL

Dear Guru's
We have a problem opening webdynpro when clicking on a workitem in the UWL. The following error appears:
Service not reached:
URL http://caliban.carectrl.lan/webdynpro/dispatcher/com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl/LeaveRequestApprover call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
Finding possible solutions in sap note 779075 and the link, /thread/1262333 [original link is broken], we followed the exact corrections. The step we took:
- correct packages in transacton SWFVISU
- Define sytem alias parameter for task TS12300097
- register the work items in the UWL
- emptied cache from UWL
The XML file looks okay now (see info below), however clicking on the remaining or new work items in the UWL still results in the same error. Why is the UWL still looking at com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl and not at sap.com/ess~lea ? Are we missing some steps ?

Hi all,
Thanks for your reply. In order to your comments I think I found another interesting thing, namely that our customer has defined its own UWL configuration with prioriy set to the highest level. Keeping this in mind the Iview from this configurationname is not modified while registering the work items for the standard UWL.
So we downloaded the configuration xml file and changed the path form com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl to com.sap/ess~lea and uploaded this new xml file in the portal. Clearing the cache did not resolve the problem. Also adding the SYSTEM_ALIAS in SWFVISU and the xml did not work.
Digging deeper in the problem we found out that the URL was incorrect and not referring to the local host.

Displaying both ABAP webdynpro and Java Webdynpro tasks in the UWL

Hi,
We have two an issue when trying to get the UWL to process two different types of workflow tasks : ABAP webdynpro and Java webdynpro.
Examples of these tasks are:
TS12300097 u2013 LeaveRequestApprover u2013 Java Webdynpro
TS17900100 - ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE u2013 ABAP webdynpro
We have two backend systems configured
SAP_ECC_Financials u2013 This has the WAS host pointing to the java stack (xxx:50000)
SAP_ECC_Workflow u2013 This has the WAS host pointing to the ABAP stack (xxx.80xx)
In transaction SWFVISU all the tasks which use Java webdynpro have been configured to use the u2018Javau2019system (SAP_ECC_Financials) using the SYSTEM_ALIAS parameter
In the UWL configuration the system SAP_ECC_Workflow has been registered
In addition to this all u2018Javau2019 tasks have had an extra UWl config XML created to ensure that the SYSTEM_ALIAS is set to SAP_ECC_Financials
The system SAP_ECC_Workflow has been re-registered
The UWL cache has been cleared
However when we try to launch the java webdynpro tasks the system is trying to access the ABAP stack (It is still trying to access the Web AS location for the system SAP_ECC_Workflow even though the system alias was specified as SAP_ECC_Financials )
The ABAP webdynpro tasks (in this case a HCM process and form) are launched correctly
If we try the reverse (i.e register the Java system SAP_ECC_Financials and change the SYSTEM_ALIAS parameter for the ABAP webdynpro tasks to system SAP_ECC_Workflow) then the reverse happens. The java tasks can be launched and the ABAP tasks cannot.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem. Surely other people have implemented both ABAP and Java webdynpro workflows?

The workitem type registration has been done already, but still it doesn't work..
But here is the actual problem...
There is a link 'Execute Workitem' in the inbox of the approver, or the second level manager...
In the leave application, when we click on this link it is taking to the portal as the task is the Webdynpro Java application task. Whereas, when using ABAP webdynpro application task, it is taking to R/3 - which means that the user cannot access this link without R/3 access. The users are given only portal access, they don't have access to backend R/3.
The requirement is that the link has to take the user to portal directly instead of R/3 - i.e it should ask only for the portal id and password.
Since it was working fine with leave application, I changed the task to Java webdynpro task, but I think the Java Webdynpro application is not deployed in the server.
Please can anybody suggest.

New Leave Request not being shown in UWL

Hi ,
I have an issue in which when manager tries to approve a leave request from UWL ,in the Pop up i,e in Request Waiting for approval" table the latest requests are shown but the same request are not being shown in the UWL.
I checked in SWI5 for the user and whatever leave requests are shown in popup are there for the user but the same is not updated in UWL.The user has refreshed the UWL but still it didnt show the new leave requests
I dont want to reregister the webflowconnector in UWL configuration as we generally use reregister to register a new task in the UWL .
Can someone please help me in resolving the issue.

DYNPARAM parameter value as suggested in the note 1140959 is already maintained against the tasks TS12300097 ,TS12300116.
we have done Refresh from the UWL iview but still its not showing the latest Leave Requests but it is coming in the popup window when one of the existing leave requests in UWL is selected.

UWL Leave Request Approval and Page Not Found

Hello Everyone,
We are in the process of implementing leave request with EP 70 ECC 6.0 and I am trying to implement the approval portion in the UWL. The workflow is appearing correctly in the UWL; however, when I click on the request in the UWL, I get a pop up with an error message that has "Page Not Found or Not Available." Does anyone know what could be causing this? I have read some of the other messages and transaction SWFVISU has been mentioned, but I am not sure how to set this up or if this would even resolve my problem.
Also, one of the reasons I have decided to go the UWL route is because the Leave Request Approval Web Dynpro has too many steps. Our users will not like having to click Approve, then Review, then Approve Request. If set up correctly, would the UWL have this many steps? I would imagine so if it is calling the same Web Dynpro, but I thought I would ask. Ideally I would like to have our Approvers select the Leave then choose approve and that be all they do.

I am having this problem as well.
I did 2 things to fix this problem.
Firstly, please go to SWFVISU and check the visualization parameter for the below task.
TS12300097
TS12300104
TS12300116
Make sure it is package value is sap.com/ess~lea. It is not com.sap. Then re-register your UWL and it should be workin.
Let me know if it still does not and you may need to check your WAS setting.
