V5 configuration fails for certain bitfiles

I have a V5 device on a board which I am configuring via JTAG in ChipScope. For most bitfiles, it configures successfully. However, on some bitfiles I get the following error message:
ERROR: Internal Error: Failed reading JTAG Instruction Register.
ERROR - Device 0: Communication failed with device: 0
The result is that ChipScope shows the part as not being configured (ILA and VIO cores do not appear). However, the current draw is similar to when the part is configured.
If I try configuring via iMPACT, it says the programming is successful, but the part still shows up as not being configured in ChipScope (at this stage of testing, we are interacting with the part via ChipScope for I/O).
I am able to configure the V5 on another board with the above bitfiles, without seeing the error message, so I know the bitfile itself is okay.
How should I proceed in debugging the above problem?
Thank you.
Sam

Hi Vinay,
Thank you for your repsonse. The link provided involved non-Xilinx devices. I am trying to configure a V5. Is there a way (or need) to specify the Instruction Register length when programming a V5? Would this be in ChipScope or ISE/bitgen?
Thank you.

  • 11g Method -- byte[] JGeometry.store( JGeometry ) fails for certain SQL

    Hi All,
Using the new in 11g byte[] JGeometry.store( JGeometry ) method as oppose to the traditional STRUCT JGeometry.store( JGeometry, Connection) method fails for certain SQL statements.
It works fine for statements like this:
    UPDATE PARCELS SET GEOM = ? WHERE ID = 47;
    These statements give errors though:
    UPDATE PARCELS SET GEOM = SDO_MIGRATE.TO_CURRENT( ?, (SELECT DIMINFO FROM USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'PARCELS' AND COLUMN_NAME = 'GEOM') ) WHERE ID = 47;
ORA-06553: PLS-306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'TO_CURRENT'
    SELECT ID, LABEL, GEOM FROM PARCELS WHERE SDO_NN( GEOM, ?, 'SDO_BATCH_SIZE=5000' ) = 'TRUE';
ORA-29900: operator binding does not exist
ORA-06553: PLS-306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'SDO_NN'
? Being where I bind in the byte[] / Object as appropriate.
    So I get the above errors when using setBytes( index,  JGeometry.store( jgeom ) ); but it work when using: setObject( index,  JGeometry.store( jgeom, con ) );
Is this a bug is known / will be fixed ?
    Thanks,
    Ronan

    Ronan,
Typically this works fine in OC4J, but does not work in WLS or other containers since the connection type is different between.
In OC4J, the connection is an Oracle connection which can handle these object conversions.
We will try to improve the documentation for this to explicitly specify where this interface can be used.

Any chance the "WSUS Administration" v-root is already present and did not get deleted after the last uninstallation?

  • DATAPUMP EXPORT FAILS (for certain table names)

I have a table name (G$_EXP$) defined in a user foo.
When I try to export the table using expdp (datapump export command like utility):-
    expdp foo/foo TABLES=G$_EXP$ DIRECTORY=USERDIR EXCLUDE=TRIGGER
I get the following error messages:-
    _EXP: Undefined variable.
So can expdp not handle this kind of table names.
    Will appreciate any comments/responses.

It's not expdp can't handle the tablename, it's your OS interprete $xxx as variables.
Try to use " to quote the tablename, or use parameter file PARFILE

    Anyone can help?

Yes, you do need 4GB of swap, but just to not scare anyone off, the installer won't actually use that much memory.
It needs that amount of backing store because during the install, there are several large Java processes forking other Java processes.
I've installed on systems with small memory configs just fine-- crank up the swap to 4GB+ during the install, then get rid of the swap after the install. The install will probably use some of that swap, and because of this may take quite a while to complete, but it will complete just fine.
    Hope that helps,
    - Matt

  • Restore configuration failed to download from SFTP server

    Hi
I am trying to restore the fabric configuration and I am unable to connect to sftp server.
    I noticed the following error:
Configuration failed for EPG oob due to Not Associated With Management Zone
    Any ideas?

    Hi Tomas
    Thanks for the quick response.
I think it might be useful if I explain what it is that I am trying to achieve. I have a lab with 2 spines/4 leafs/3 apics. I will be starting a series of workshops to educate my team on the glorious world of ACI.
One of my first sessions will be "how to build a fabric". So I am currently in the process of decommissioning the switches and then issuing the "eraseconfig setup".
After erasing the APIC config the team will build the fabric and then upload the backup configuration from my SFTP server.
So the issue is that I am unable to download the backup file via the GUI.
I have just applied the eraseconfig setup command again I can confirm that it does not build an "External Management Network Instance Profile" from default.
I also have noticed that from a default build the Management Zone error appears.
I have configured the profile but the EPG has not "formed"
At the moment I am unable to download the configuration.
Thanks for your help on this
    Ben

    Thanks!

    Hi Ychinnari,
I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, as
Vaishu00547 mentioned that the issue can be caused by the Execution Account you have configured in the Reporting Services Configuration Manager is not correct, Please update the Username and Password and restart the reporting services.
Please also find more details information about when to use the execution account, if possible, please also not specify this account:
This account is used under special circumstances when other sources of credentials are not available:
When the report server connects to a data source that does not require credentials. Examples of data sources that might not require credentials include XML documents and some client-side database applications.
When the report server connects to another server to retrieve external image files or other resources that are referenced in a report.
    Execution Account (SSRS Native Mode)
If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Pulse train generation fails with certain values for "number of samples"

I'm generating a retriggerable analog output signal, and so I'm using a counter as the sample clock (see: Retriggerable AI Using Retriggerable Counter). I am finding that, above a certain number of samples, and only for certain values of the number of samples, the counter task gives me error -200305, "Desired finite pulse train generation is not possibe." The error crops up only when actually starting the task.
The analog signal that I'm trying to generate will be about 800 kHz, so my counter is set to run at the same frequency. I find that the counter task works fine if the number of samples to generate is anywhere between zero and 671,088 samples. Setting the number of samples to 671,089 gives the error above, as does 671,090 samples and so on. However, using 671,096, the counter task works fine. After that, the counter seems to output fine only if the number of samples is divisible by 8.
The only thing I can think of is that (617088 samples) / (800000 Hz) = 0.839 s. At the internal clock rate of 20 MHz, 0.839 s is 2^24 samples, and it is a 24-bit counter on this hardware. So if it's this internal counter rolling over, that's fine and I can work around that. But if that's the case, what I don't understand is why increasing the number of samples in increments of 8 samples still works.
The hardware is a PXI-6733 board, running with LabView 7.1.1 and NI-DAQmx 8.1.

Hmmm,  multiples of 50 & 100?  Now I'm puzzled again.
Here's how to make sense of the 100 kHz timebase idea though, even if it turns out not to be the right explanation.  For a retriggerable finite pulse train, you actually use a pair of counters.  If you were to program it manually, you could set your output counter to generate a continuous pulsetrain at 800 kHz using the internal 20 MHz timebase.  This output counter would also be configured to use the other counter's output as a digital level-based pause trigger.  So the 800 kHz pulsetrain is only output while the other counter's output is, say, high.
The other counter is configured for retriggerable pulse generation.  The pulse duration or high time should be set for (# pulses) / (800e3 pulses/sec).  This other counter can be configured to use the 100 kHz timebase, so its high time would then have to be an integer multiple of 10 usec.
So let's see...  An 800 kHz pulsetrain is possible with a 20 MHz timebase (exactly 25 cycles).  A 700 kHz (28 + 4/7 cycles) or 900 kHz (22 + 2/9 cycles) is not.  So when you request those other frequencies, you actually get a near approximation.  I dunno if DAQmx can be queried for the actual value correctly or not -- I recall an early version that reported back whatever freq you had asked for rather than what it actually used.  Queries based on ticks (rather than time or freq) did return what was actually used, as I recall.
Let's suppose a request for 700 kHz gets truncated to 28 cycles of the 20 MHz timebase making a 1.4 usec period.  Then 50 of those periods becomes 70 usec, which is evenly divisible by the 100 kHz timebase.  Bingo!  (Note: 70 is the least common multiple of 10 and 1.4)
Now suppose the request for 900 kHz turns into 22 cycles of the 20 MHz timebase, or a 1.1 usec period.  Now it takes 100 of those periods to get to 110 usec, which is also evenly divisible by the 100 kHz timebase.  Bingo again!  (Note: 110 is the lcm of 10 and 1.1).
Did you follow the method here?  It should help you figure out expected results for various output freqs and #'s of samples.

  • Assembly failed while configuring track for ECOM

    Hello,
I am trying to configure the track for the ECOM application. I have reached successfully upto the step of importing the SCA files on the Consolidation tab of CMS Transport Studio. Now when I try to assemble the components, I get the message "Assembly Failed" for the following components:
    sap.com_CUSTCRMPRJ
    sap.com_SAP-CRMAPP
    sap.com_SAP-CRMWEB
    sap.com_SAP-SHRWEB
When I checked the "Details", I see the following:
    Check-assembly assembled
    Repository-export assembled
    CBS-assembly Finished with errors
    Export Assembly failed
The log files are empty, for all the components!!
In CBS there are totally 408 DCs in each buildspace - dev and cons. None broken.
Any idea what the problem can be?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Reena

  • Kerberos Configuration Manager for SQL Server: Access of system information failed!

I'm trying to use the new Kerberos Configuration Manager for SQL Server tool that was released recently to verify SPN on several SQL Servers, but any time I attempt to connect to a server I get the following error in the log:

    1. Verified that my account is a Domain Admin.
    2. Attempt to connect locally without inputting any information for server/user/pw
    3. Attempt to connect remotely using server/user/pw
I always receive the same error message and log: Access of system information failed!
Has anyone else run into this issue?

    Update to this:
There were some invalid user accounts added to the Local Administrators group only showing up as a GUID. This caused the enumeration of the group to fail and generate the error in my original post. Removing those user accounts from the Administrators group
    got past the enumeration error.
However, now when attempting to connect to the servers (locally or remotely) I get this error:

    Hi SV,
You have already posted this issue 3 years back and the suggestion made their still holds good.
    Trouble Installing EDI/AS2 Runtime
Also refer the thread where the user has faced same issue:
BizTalk 2009 Configuration failing in EDI/AS2 runtime configuration
As suggested, could be that somehow the Microsoft.BizTalk.GlobalPropertySchemas
is not recognized by BizTalk when it configured EDI, though the dll still resides in the GAC folder.
Go to BizTalk Administration console and try to manually add the assembly in the resources of "BizTalk Application 1"  application. Then try to configure EDI and hopefully this time you will be able to configure it without any problem.

  • The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. (rsServerConfigurationError) Log on failed. Ensure the user name and password are correct. (rsLogonFailed) The user name or password is incorrect

I am able to run the report fine in BIDS in the preview window, and it deployes fine.  When it goes to view the report in the browser, I get the following error.  There is no domain, I am using a standalone computer with SQL Server and SSRS on

Can anyone point to where I might configure the permission it is looking for?  thanks!  Steven

    Steven DeSalvo

    Hi StevenDE2012,
Based on the error message "The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. (rsServerConfigurationError)", it seems that the Unattended Execution Account settings in Reporting Services
    Configuration is not correct.
Reporting Services provides a special account that is used for unattended report processing and for sending connection requests across the network. Unattended report processing refers to any report execution process that is triggered by an event rather than
a user request. The report server uses the unattended report processing account to log on to the computer that hosts the external data source. This account is necessary because the credentials of the Report Server service account are never used to connect
to other computers. To configure the account, please refer to the following steps:
Start the Reporting Services Configuration tool and connect to the report server instance you want to configure.
On the Execution Account page, select Specify an execution account.
Type the account and password, retype the password, and then click Apply.
In addition, please verify you have access to the Report Server database by following steps:
Go to SQL Server Reporting Services Configuration Manager, make sure the configuration is correct.
Go to Database, Verify that you can connect to the database.
Make sure you are granted public and RSExecRole roles.
    Reference:
    Configure the Unattended Execution Account
Configure a Report Server Database Connection
If the problem is unresolved, i would appreciate it if you could give us detailed error log, it will help us move more quickly toward a solution.
    Thanks,
    Wendy Fu

  • Failed to load the configuration file for the workflow

Hi experts, yesterday I created and publish custom workflow using SPD from client pc using site administrator account but today its shows error message. I tried creating new test workflows, edit and publish to think it will push a fresh SPD settings
in working condition and it works pretty right.
But the thing I noticed after closing SPD Im not able to re-open workflows and it gives the same error message Failed to load the configuration file for the workflow. This issue only happen today since day one  I used SPD and all the time
    Im using the same pc.
    Any ideas will be appreciated.
    Cheers, R2C3 ----------------------------------- starting sharepoint :)

    HI
Maybe you have permission problem or there is invalid xoml murkup.
To verify this from SharePoint Designer use the following steps.
In Office SharePoint Designer, in the folder list, select the plus sign next to Workflows library to expand it
1.Next select the plus sign of the workflow in question to expand it
2.Double-click the configuration file (Workflow_name.xoml.wfconfig.xml) to open it
3.Right-click on the page, and then select Verify well-formed XML
4.Correct any errors and save the file
    5.Reopen the workflow to test
Also double check that you are using SPD with the same credentials you created workflow
    Hope this will help.
    Regards,
    Marcin

  • Minor_init failed for module... & unable to configure nics

    Hello,
following the instructions of: "Sun Two-Node Cluster How to Guide"
I successfully installed the "Sun Cluster 3.1U4" on my sun ultra 5 workstations (on the two nodes and on the administrative console), which are all running solaris 10 1/06.
During the installation process I choose the option "configure later" as suggested by the guide.
Before configuring the nodes and proceeding with the steps, I wanted to check the correct installation of the nics. I have three nics plugged in the two nodes and two in the administrative console. One per computer is integrated, the others are three pci 10/100 Ark and two Intel nics.
The fact is that the output of dladm show-link is just hme0 for all the computers, none of the other nics seems to be recognized.
in the output of prtconf I see
pci instance 1 ethernet (drive not attached) ethernet (driver not attached)
    instead with prtconf -D
pci instance 1 ethernet ethernet (driver simba)
this is the output of one of my nodes that has two Ark nics.
I tried with devfsadm -v (as I read in a post) and the output is
    minor_init failed for module /usr/lib/devfsadm/linkmod/SUNW_scmd_link.so
this string also appears at every boot (also when I boot -r)
This last thing I found treated as a problem in "sun java enterprise administration guide":
this is like my situation, but of course I am not running solaris on an x86 system, and I also do not receive "NOTICE NO PCI PROB"
x86 machines running Solaris 10 fail to come up in cluster mode due to changes made for the Solaris boot architecture project. The following error messages are displayed when the machine boots up:
    NOTICE: Cant open /etc/cluster/nodeid
NOTICE: BOOTING IN NON CLUSTER MODE
    NOTICE: NO PCI PROP
    NOTICE: NO PCI PROP
    Configuring devices.
    Hostname: pvyom1
devfsadm: minor_init failed for module /usr/lib/devfsadm/linkmod/SUNW_scmd_link.so
    Loading smf(5) service descriptions: 24/24
/usr/cluster/bin/scdidadm: Could not load DID instance list.
    Cannot open /etc/cluster/ccr/did_instances.
Not booting as part of a cluster
/usr/cluster/bin/scdidadm: Could not load DID instance list.
    Cannot open /etc/cluster/ccr/did_instances.
Note: path_to_inst might not be updated. Please boot -r as needed to update.
    Solution Perform these steps:
    1. Add etc/cluster/nodeid to /boot/solaris/filelist.ramdisk.
    2. Enter these commands:
    # bootadm update-archive
    # reboot -- -r
I did not perform the steps indicated as the "solution" for this.
I wait because maybe the scinstall configuration can fix this, doesn't it?
I just want to end my two node cluster config happily and begin to work with it.
    Thanks in advantage,
    Francesco

The primary problem you seem to have is that your network adapters are not recognized. So this is not a Cluster problem. You talk about "three pco 10/100 Ark and two intel nics". The question is, if those cards have a corresponding solaris driver. Since you seem to indicate that prtdiag does report that there is no driver attached, you may be out of luck for the drivers coming with Soalris 10 01/06 you use. Maybe the vendor of those cards offers drivers that need to get installed?
Otherwise I guess you are out of luck using them, without finding a usabel kernel driver.
    For the message
    minor_init failed for module /usr/lib/devfsadm/linkmod/SUNW_scmd_link.so
you see, this is harmless and not your problem. You can ignore it.
This error happens when the scmd_link devfsadm link module is attempted to be
loaded before clustering has started. It is a harmless situation.

  • Failed to load configuration file for the workflow

There are two of us who have full control on our Sharepoint 2013 site. I'm able to create workflows and publish them fine. The other user is able to create workflows, but he gets an error when trying to run them. I  tried opening his workflow and got
the error "Failed to load configuration file for the workflow."
    Any ideas?

    Hi Carltonw1,
Based on your description, I recommend to verify the things below:
Clear the SharePoint Designer cache and then open the workflow.
Ask the user to open the workflow in SharePoint Designer and check if the workflow contains error.
Ask the user to create the same workflow and associated with another list to see how it works.
Check the ULS log for more detailed error message.
To reproduce this issue, could you please provide the detailed steps in the workflow for further research?
    Thanks,
    Victoria
