Validate a screen entry through message

Moderator message: do NOT offer points
Dear experts,
I have designed one screen containing 10 entries of 10 different fields.
One entry is for amount . I want that amount to be less than 1000.00 and if it is not so it should give message.
My logic is working fine..but the only problem is that when I make a wrong entry , it should allow me to corrrect it there and there only..
now with message type E , it disables all the fields and other entries are also to be entered again...
and with message type W  and I , it is taking that as a right entry.
So which message type should I use ? Or any other alternative ?

For validating single field:
In PAI
field <field1> module check_field1.
" if in module u thro message of type E or W after validating. The field field1 will remain available for input.
For validating multiple fields:
In PAI
chain.
field <field1>.
field <field2>.
field <field3>.
module check_fields.
endchain.
" if in module u thro message of type E or W after validating. The all the fields mentioned within chain endchain will remain available for input.
For validating fields in Table control:
In PAI
loop at itab.
Use any of above two methods
endloop.

  • Is screen sharing through Messages limited to third-party accounts in Yosemite like it is in Mavericks?

So I was told this by an Apple support member through the online chat, but everything else I've been reading seems contradictory. Every blog post I've read, and even Apple's own website makes it seems like you can screen share on Messages with any contact with an iMessage account (in Mavericks, it was limited to third-party accounts signed into Messages like Google, Jabber, AIM, etc...).
I was able to screen share through the iMessages account if the two computers were on the same network (both on wifi, or both tethered to the same phone), but not if they were on separate networks. Which seems almost next to useless. It'd be nice to just get a breakdown of what's possible with screen sharing through Messages.
    So far it seems like:
    1. Screen sharing is possible using a third-party account (as per in Mavericks).
    2. Screen sharing is possible using an iMessages account only within the same network (added in Yosemite). <- if this is really all that was "added", they really should make that clear, rather than making it seem like iMessage accounts have the same utility as third-party ones.
Just want someone to confirm this. Thanks!

    Hi,
Screen Sharing only works with an AIM Account (AOL) or a Jabber ID  when the person at the other end is also using the same sort of Account and a Mac with iChat or Messages.
The Bonjour Account which is used for LAN based Mac to Mac Chats can also Screen Share.
The Yahoo account (if you have one) is Text only. It does not even do File Sharing.  It does not do Video Chat, Audio Only ones or Screen Sharing.
The iMessages account does not do Video chats (or Audio Only)
What it does do is invoke the FaceTime App.
    FaceTime does not Screen Share.

When you share a screen, you and your friend can do anything on the shared desktop, such as opening folders, creating documents, and copying files by dragging them from one desktop to another. Messages automatically starts an audio chat.
You can share screens using AIM, Jabber, Google Talk, and Bonjour. You can’t share screens using Yahoo! or iMessage.
Important: When you share your screen, your friend has the same access to your computer that you have. Share your screen only with people you trust, and be careful if you receive a request to share your screen from someone who isn’t in your buddy list. If the request comes from someone using Bonjour, remember that the name shown for the person in Bonjour does not necessarily match the person’s real name.
See the Line above the one where the word "important" is in bold text.
OS X 10.5 is the one with iChat 4.x.x with it.
    To be clear:-
iChat 1 was an AIM client but also had the Bonjour account under it's previous name of Rendezvous
    iChat 3 added Jabber capabilities
iChat 6 added Yahoo ones. (extremely limited)
Messages brings the Name change and the focus on the iMessages account with the associated window changes.
This means Messages can join 5 "services"
Opening Messages asks you for an Apple ID to register with iMessages.
It also has the Bonjour account present but not turned On.
You can add anything you used in iChat
Some Apple Issued ID are valid AIM Screen Names
GoogleTalk and Facebook Chat IDs works as Jabber IDs
    Apple IDs
These can be considered in some ways to be separated into different functions or layers.
The first difference is between external emails and Apple Issued ones that end in @mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com  (Some people are using a small number of pre Email linked Apple IDs - about 15 years or older accounts.)
The Apple Issued ones can be used as AIM Screen Names.
You can also distinguish between iCloud Linked ones and plain Apple IDs
As Apple changed from MobileMe to iCloud they used  and linked @me.com IDs to iCloud as people registered for iCloud.
Later they issued iCloud ending emails  (you may have both)
This leaves you with "All iCloud IDs are Apple IDs, but not all Apple IDs are iCloud ID ones".
The short answer is if an Account in Messages can Video within the app (not invoke another app) then it can Screen Share.

  • Screen Sharing through Messages

I'm having a bit of an issue with screen sharing.  I'm running the latest version of Yosemite as is the other machine. (Mac Mini 2011)(MBP 2009) On both machines:  Firewall was turned off and it didn't work, then I turned it on and allowed screen sharing(no change).  I went into preferences and allowed all sharing(no change).
When I try to initiate screen sharing I get the option in Messages.  The other person never gets the alert.  When they try to initiate it with me using Messages, it's greyed out and they can't send any requests.
Any ideas if this is a known bug or something else I'm missing?

  • Screen sharing on Mac's through Messages (remotely) ?

    Hi,
I'm visiting my in-laws and have just helped them set up their new iMac. I expect they will from time to time need me to assist them remotely (we live app. 1200 km apart), so now I am trying to get screen sharing in Messages to work (all Macs are running latest Mountain Lion).
Using my MBPro on their local WiFi network, I noticed that the screen sharing commands remain grayed out in Messages when chatting between the two iCloud accounts. By playing around a bit I noticed that when activating Bonjour on both Macs it appears to work. On my own Mac I noticed an AIM account which should also do the trick according to what I can find on the web ... but I don't recall ever creating an AIM account and wouldn't know how to do so for my in-laws.
So here are a couple of questions I am struggling with (and given my departure date later this week would like to resolve quickly) :
    - Does screensharing work in Messages between iCloud accounts ?
    - What is Bonjour ? Why do I need it ? (seems a bit of blurry on the web as far as I can find)
    - What do I need an AIM account for ? Was this created automatically on my own Mac at SnowLeopard time ? Should I create one for my in-laws and if so how ?
    - Is chatting over bonjour / AIM possible on iPad / iPhone ? or will the conversations re

    Hi
    - Does screensharing work in Messages between iCloud accounts ?
    Yes and No
The No is as an iMessage account.
If the Apple ID is an Apple Issued one (@Mac.com and @me.com) then it can be added as an AIM account and will Screen Share
    - What is Bonjour ? Why do I need it ? (seems a bit of blurry on the web as far as I can find)
Bonjour is Apple's Zero configuration method of finding other Macs, Bonjour enabled items like Printers and some PCs running Bonjour enabled apps.
These show up in the Share in the Finders Side bar.
This shows up as the Computer name (See System Preference > Sharing)
Within iChat/Messages (if Enabled) then you can see other people with Bonjour Enabled on their iChat or Messages.
In iChat or Message the Buddy Name is taken from the Address Book (Contacts in Mountain Lion) My Card.
You will see what other people call themselves in their Card, they will see what you call yourself.
It will do all that a AIM or Jabber accounts can do except Group Text chats.
    - What do I need an AIM account for ? Was this created automatically on my own Mac at SnowLeopard time ? Should I create one for my in-laws and if so how ?
Messages added iMessages to iChat to create an iChat+ type app
Before in iChat AIM and Jabber were the main services that you could use to send messages to other people.
Some Apple IDs ending with @mac.com or @me.com are valid AIM names
(You do have to keep the password to 16 characters or less (AIM Server limit)
iCLoud issues @me.com names will not work in iChat 5 or earlier
iChat 6 and Messages have a Dual login to AIM and Me.com that allows AIM to "see" the password.
It might be the case that you had or have an email valid Apple ID from earlier that now appears in System Preferences > Mail, Contacts and Calendars and has been marked as valid for Messages when you only previously used it for Mail.
You could create your relatives an Apple ID (keep the password to 16 characters or less) from iCloud and both use "AIM" to then do the Screen Sharing.
You can also register a Name with AIM themselves.
Creating the Apple ID tends to Hard Code an external to Apple Email address to that Account but the name is then a valid Email.
AIM can use an email as the name.  You can create a name with AIM without listing an email as the name and you then enter this as a plain Username in the Add section of Messages.
You realistically still need to list a separate email for Verification and Password Recovery but you can use the same email over and over and create as many names as you like.
    - Is chatting over Bonjour / AIM possible on iPad / iPhone ? or will the conversations re
Bonjour is only used on a LAN (Local chats in the same premisses)
iPad and  iPhones are not Bonjour Enabled.
AIM text chat are possible on an iPad/iPhone to a Computer.
The simplest is the iPad logs in with  an AIM name via a web Browser and use AIM Express.
The Name used would have to be either @mac.com or an AIM one as an @me.com from iCloud could not get the password checked this way.
The Mac uses Messages/iChat depending on OS and iChat version.
However between iPhones/iPads and a computer the iMessages account is easier.

  • How to exit full screen mode mail message

Inexplicably, when i open messages in Mail, they appear in something like full screen mode.   The message viewer window is not in full screen mode, but if i open any message, the message takes up the whole screen. I can drag the message in order to see other things on the desktop, but i can't adjust the size of the window to the size i want, and see no way of exiting full screen mode. I lookd in Help, but it only shows how to enter Full Screen, not how to exit it.
In the View menu, there is an option to enter full screen.  When i have the full screen sized message open on top, the enter full screen option in the View menu is greyed out.  If i have the normal sized window for the message viewer window on top, the enter full screen is not grayed out and could be selected.  I do not select it since there appears to be no 'exit full screen' option that i can see and i don't want to multiply this problem.
I know this might be a silly question, but if they have an enter full screen option, why wouldn't they also have an exit full screen option?
Or is there an exit full screen option which exists somewhere that i have not been able to find?  I've searched Apple Discussions and Google but so far have not found a way to un-full screen my Mail messages.  This started this morning.
    Can anyone help?
I do not know how it got into full screen mode.  It was not something i did deliberately or knowingly.
i have tried quitting and restarting Mail but the full screen message mode returns.
How can i get my mail messages out of this very annoying and awkward screen hogging mode?
I have only been using Mail since last November when i got a new MBP with Mountain Lion, which meant that for the first time since 1995, i could not use the simple straightforward faultless Eudroa anymore.  So i have had my struggles with Mail.  Trying to get through it.  This is the most recent of various similar issues, inexplicable problems without apparent solutions.  Sort of Microsoft-like.
I will be really grateful for any help.. thanks

Press Control + Command + F on your keyboard to enter or exit full screen mode.

  • Can't take more than one picture through Messages

I've had this problem since I first received my iPhone 6 and I always thought it just needed a software update, but I'm beginning to think that even that can't help. Basically when I try to choose the 'Take photo or video' option when sending a picture through Messages, I end up with a black screen (not entirely a black screen, but where I should be viewing the photo/video that I'm about to take). I'm only able to use that option once throughout the whole day and then if I try it again some other time all I end up with is a black screen or like today, an image of the last picture I took using that feature. I've tried resetting and rebooting my phone but to no avail. Two other people in my household are also iPhone 6 users and they don't seem to have a problem with this feature. So, not really sure if anyone else has had this problem or it's just me. I wanted to consult someone here first before taking it to the Apple Store to have them take a look at it.

    Something definitely wrong.
There's probably another fix but what I'd do is re-fresh Aperture, and that's easy to do.
Hold down the Alt+Apple keys while turning on Aperture and follow the prompts.

  • Service Entry: No message Output

    Hi,
I created some new purchasing groups and it run well until the release strategy of PO.
But after I created service entry and accepted it, it said that 'no message output', and I can't print the entry sheet through ML83 (it said 'no suitable purchasing document').
I think it's related with the new purch group, because when I create the same PO, but using the old Purch group, I still can print it on ML83 and when I checked entry sheet->message; I could find that there's an output. But why it doesn't work for the new purchasing group? any idea, friends??
    Thanks a bunch,
    Nasikhin

Hi Pankaj & Mahesh, thanks for the suggestions.
    @Pankaj:
I've tried to go to MN13, but i couldn't find any record on the list. So, I just create a record for the new purchasing group, and saved it..
Then I tried to create PO and SE again, but the problem wasn't resolved.. i still can't print the Entry sheet.
    @Mahesh:
I couldn't find the path u gave, but I think it should be 'SPRO->MM->Purchasing->Message->assign output device to purchasing group.
But seems that it's not the solution. because the other purchasing group are not assigned to any printer as well. anyway i tried to assign a printer to the new purchasing group.
and I tried to create service entry..I accepted it and the problem still exist.. "No message record could be found for output of message."
    Any other suggestion?
    Many thanks,
    Nasikhin

  • To use the selection screen entry in another program

    dear all,
i have a requirement that i want to use the selection screen entry of my zmodule pool to the selection screen of a zreport and want to use its output in my module pool.
how could i do this in my module pool programing??
i hope u get my question, i want to use the output of my zreport in my module pool with the same selection screen as given in module pool.,directly in my module pool output without opening my zreport seperately for this same selection screen data

    Hi,
You can use SUBMIT statement in your module program to call the zreport program in background.
Press F1 on Submit statement and you will find required detials of this statement. For using submit statement
you have to create an internal table of type RSPARAMS and pass it in the submit statement.
    eg.
    DATA :
    *  table to be passed to background report 'ZREPORT1'
        int_rspar TYPE TABLE OF rsparams,
        ws_rspar TYPE rsparams.
    CONSTANTS: c_include     TYPE rsparams-sign               VALUE 'I',
               c_kind        TYPE rsparams-kind               VALUE 'S',
               c_between     TYPE rsparams-option             VALUE 'BT'.
*Preparing the table to be passed to the background report.
*populating SELECT-OPTION for knb1-kunnr (Customer Number)
    CLEAR : ws_rspar.
ws_rspar-selname = 'S_KUNNR'. "Should be the name of select option as in                               the called report
    ws_rspar-kind = c_kind.
    ws_rspar-sign = c_include.
    ws_rspar-option = c_between.
    ws_rspar-low = '1'.
    ws_rspar-high = '100'.
    APPEND ws_rspar TO int_rspar.
*populating SELECT-OPTION for knb1-bukrs (Company code)
    CLEAR : ws_rspar.
    ws_rspar-selname = 'S_BUKRS'.
    ws_rspar-kind = c_kind.
    ws_rspar-sign = c_include.
    ws_rspar-option = c_between.
    ws_rspar-low = 'a'.
    ws_rspar-high = 'z'.
    APPEND ws_rspar TO int_rspar.
    submit zreport
      with selection-table int_rspar
          EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
              and return.
The above code will execute the zreport in backgournd.
Now to get the output of the zreport :-
*This internal table stores the value
    *Of output listed to memory
DATA BEGIN OF itab_list OCCURS 0.
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE abaplist.
    DATA END OF itab_list
    * To read from the memory. The output of the program that is executed in background is then populated in the itab_list table.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LIST_FROM_MEMORY'
    TABLES
    listobject = itab_list
    EXCEPTIONS
    not_found = 4
    OTHERS = 8.
    * To write it onto the output
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_LIST'
    EXPORTING
    WRITE_ONLY = 'X'
    TABLES
    listobject = itab_list
    EXCEPTIONS
    EMPTY_LIST = 1
    OTHERS = 2
    IF sy-subrc 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.

  • Validate the variable entry

    Hi. VC guru's.
I would like know some information regarding
    Data Validation from you.
                     1) How to validate the variable entry in VC. Example: user should not be able to submit
The queries without selecting a value for all fields.
and If he enters some invalid values, Then system  has to throw an error.
For Example ::  If we give 'Material' name is invalid then the  system has to show a system message u201C invalid variable inputu201D .
Please tell me how to do it.
I know that we can give it on validation in control properties. But I would like to know for which
field we have to give and what is the condition. Please provide me solution.
No need to worry about points.
                                                        Thanks and Regards

    Hi,
You had asked To which filed we have to give and what condition Right?
For which field you want to validate Enter the validation that Filed and The conditions are according to the your requirement.
    For Example.
In a Input if you Enter any input which Ends with 5 then it should show some Error message
then you have to Use "Ends with" Option as Condition and  "5"  as value , Message " Ends with 5"
If you Upgrade to  EHP1 then you can get the Hard validation option which will stop the Execution Flow  if the validation validation fails
    Thanks

    Hi V. Suresh,
    Thanks for reply.
I think it seems possible through Transaction code OPK0 wherein we got Detail Areas where we can define the elements that we want on Single screen entry confirmation (CO11N). There Free definable detail screens are available. But I don't know how to configure that. Could you please share something on that?

  • Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)

Hi, I am wondering why my iphone won't send pictures through messages, I have MMS on and I have tried sending it with 3G on aswell and still doesn't work. Someone please help me :)

    Hey lozza567,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues sending MMS messages. The following resource may provide a solution:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
Issues with sending and receiving MMS
You will need these to send and receive MMS:
    - An iPhone 3G or later.
    - iOS 3.1 or later.
    - A cellular data connection. MMS isn't available if you are using only Wi-Fi.
    - A domestic MMS plan from your cellular provider. You may need an international messaging plan to send MMS to an international contact. Contact your carrier for more information.
    - A roaming MMS when using a cellular provider's network different from your billing cellular provider's network. Learn more about roaming and contact your carrier for more information.
To resolve issues with sending and receiving MMS, follow these steps first
    1. Go to Settings and turn airplane mode off.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn MMS Messaging on.
    3. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data on.
    4. Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Data Roaming on if you are roaming on a cellular provider network different from your billing provider's network.
    5. Verify that you have a cellular data connection in the status bar at the top left of your iPhone.
    6. Go to Settings and turn Wi-Fi off. Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify that you have a data connection. Turn Wi-Fi back on to continue using Wi-Fi for other features. If your cellular data connection isn't available, follow these steps.
    7. Verify that you can send and receive SMS. If you are unable to send and receive SMS, see the "Issues with sending and receiving SMS" section, above.
    8. MMS may not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports.
    9. Restart your iPhone.
    10. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
    11. Reseat your SIM card.
If you are still unable to send or receive MMS, follow these steps
    1. Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
    2. Go to Settings > Messages and turn on group messaging if you are sending a group message.
    3. Make sure that you are using the area code with the contact's phone number. When sending messages internationally, you also need the contact's international code.
    4. Verify a "Pay as you go" MMS plan has enough available balance. Contact your carrier if unsure of your MMS plan or available balance.
    5. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
    6. If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
    7. Back up and restore your iPhone as new.

To replace your phone's screen costs $109US and I don't see why having Apple replace the screen would void your warranty.
