Validate.nulltest highlight on table objects

Hi,
I'm working (with LiveCycle) on a form with lots of fields and tables. So, it has a lot of validations, so I use the validate.nullTest propierty to set a field to mandatory (and red highlighted) when it's empty.
I was also using the validate.nullTest propierty on parent subforms and tables, so instead of highlighting all the table cells, I just was highlighting the border of the entire table.
I realised with Adobe Reader 8.1.3 and 9.1.0 this "feature" has stopped working. Do you know if it's a bug or something? The same PDF form with Adobe 8.1.2 and 9.0.0 is highlighting the entire table but not the new versions of Reader 8.1.3 and 9.1.0.
Despite my English is very basic, I hope you can understand my explanations and give me an answer :)

On the print button it doesn't have any effect. How can I highlight

To make this functionality you can use two buttons trick:
First button Print, onClick event should has this script: realPrintButton.execEvent("click").
Second button is invisble Print button.
So, when you click on your first button print validation is appear and real print will be executed.

Can't drop database table objects on a EJB Diagram.

JDeveloper 10.1.3 EA.
When I drop a database table object on a EJB Diagram the error below occurs. Also dropping components from the Component Palette doesn't work. A wizard opens, but after completing that, nothing is on the EJB Diagram.
However, after dropping a table and a restart of JDeveloper, there is an empty 'tablename EJB' on the EJB Diagram, but a click with the mouse on it generates the same error as the drop did.
Simular errors occur with JDeveloper 10.1.2, so writing this I realize that this might be a database version problem. I'm using 9i! I'll try 10g and see what happens.

Hi lisa, you've said that the problem does not occur in the 10.1.3 build but I have almost the same problem with the BME-99003 error message.
I used the same workaround "changing the regional settings from BE to US" and the BME-99003 problem disappears :-)

When I pass values from my java code through JDBC to this store procedure, how can I insert values from the "p_item_tbl" table object into ITEM table?
In the stored procedure, I wrote the code as below but it doesn't work at all even I can see values if I use something like p_item_tbl(1).itemid. How can I fix the problem?

How can I convert table object into table record format?

I need to write a store procedure to convert table object into table record. The stored procedure will have a table object IN and then pass the data into another stored procedure with a table record IN. Data passed in may contain more than one record in the table object. Is there any example I can take a look? Thanks.

I'm afraid it's a bit labourious but here's an example.
I think it's a good idea to work with SQL objects rather than PL/SQL nested tables.

Can a PL/SQL table Object Type be used in a VO?

Is it possible to use a PL/SQL table object type to provide data to a View Object? In short, I would like to be able to do something like this:
1. Create record object:
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE xx_rec_type AS OBJECT
(xxid NUMBER,
xxdesc varchar2(10),
xxcost number...);
2. Create table object:
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE xx_tbl_type AS TABLE OF xx_rec_type;
3. Declare and populate the object in PL/SQL package:
xx_tbl xx_tbl_type;
xx_tbl(i).xxid := 1;
xx_tbl(i).xxdesc := 'XXX';
xx_tbl(i).xxcost := 10.00;
4. Create a View Object as:
SELECT * FROM xx_tbl
Is it even possible to access xx_tbl from View Object? If anyone has done something like this, please do share.

A PL/SQL procedure can exist in Oracle DB, in TimesTen, or in both. You control that by where you create the procedure. Procedures that exist in Oracle can really only be called in Oracle and can only access data in Oracle. Procedures that exist in TimesTen can only be called in TimesTen and can only access data in TimesTen. There is a limited capability, using the TimesTen PassThrough capability to call PL/SQL procedures located in Oracle, from Timesten, and for Timesten PL/SQL procedures to access data in Oracle. Using PassThrough does have some overhead.

Highlight a moving object

Using AE CS5, how do I highlight a moving object in a scene? I want an ellipse shape of normal brightness highlighting the moving object. I want the rest of the scene to be around 60% brightness.

PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to "Table object"

I verified so many times, that I am passing as required number of arguments and with correct data types of an table object.
Still it is showing the same error.

POWL accessing data from multiple tables/objects

Hello,
I have a query on the POWL applications.
If the powl application has to access data from multiple tables/objects, then the solution would be creating a data structure of those tables/objects and referring to that structure in GET_OBJECT_DEF methods.
Is there any other soln? or I am right here?
The queries which are saved for a particular user are transportable? if not, how can they be made transportable?

you are right, you can do in get_objects method.
POWL_QUERIES are transportab;e, you can save them in POWL_QUERY transaction.

WAD: Design request for web template with re-occuring table object

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a web template design in WAD (WAS 6.20) using javascript that would loop and re-use the same table web item object displaying different sales employee data. The challenges I'm facing is that the number of employees to report on might be different for the reporting period and the report should have a sales employee specific header preceeding each table. And also the customer is looking at receiving a canned (precalculated) report generated weekly.
I'm thinking that I could try looping through the 0salesemply characteristic values as displayed from a dropdown box object and pass the individual value as the table object's filter value and hopefully re-generate and render the same table with different filter values until the end of sales employee list of names is reached. Within that same loop, a second table pointing to a different data provider can also display selective data specific to that sales employee.
My question is would such a design render the same table item multiple times based on the number of 0salesemply values and on a single web page. Would such a design work or would I need to look at designing a BSP application querying the ODS table directly.
If anyone has any comments on how else I can achieve this or can provide examples of similar design it would be very much appreciated.

Table Object Browser

On the table object browser if the screen is not maximised you don't see all of the tabs.
The only way to get to the far right tabs is to use the scroll arrows beside the tabs.
This actually selects and executes each tab instead of just moving the tabs to the left so you can get to the far right tabs.

What version are you using? 2.2.0.00.32
What are the column datatypes? I have several VARCHAR2, NUMBER, DATE, and CHAR columns.
Are you using (do you see) the Create or "Create and Create Another" button?
Yes, I tried both the "Create" and "Create and Create Another" button.
Does it work correctly on apex.oracle.com?
Hmm...looks like I will have to request a new Workspace. I haven't logged into there for quite some time (forgot my Workspace name, etc.)...and the email address you have on file for me is no longer a valid email address.

Com.waveset.util.ConfigurationError: Cannot find columns for table 'object'

I am trying to install IDM on my own laptop and use MS SQL Server 2000 as the repository. I run the create table scripts, copy all the jar files to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\Idm\WEB-INF\lib. But I still got the following error message:
com.waveset.util.ConfigurationError: Cannot find columns for table 'object' ==>com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Invalid object name 'object'
Does anyone have any idea of what may cause this problem?

I found the solution to this issue.. is that the Database user ID must be set to the schema .. this is the statment that probably did not work:
CREATE USER <username> FOR LOGIN <login name> with DEFAULT_SCHEMA = <database name>
In sql 2005 expand the database... open security .. find the user.. right click and select properties.. in the default schema box.. select the SunSync database .. in the schemas owned by this user select the sunsync schema database..
