Hi,
It is applicable for PO done for Frame work oder with Doc type - FO(Frame work order)as its an agreement of supply of stock only between specified period.For this kind of Doc type system makes it mandatory to enter the valisity start and end date.

How PO validity start and validity end works

In the PO Header (tab Additional data), there are fields: validity start and validity end. The help text states the following:
Start of validity period
Date as of which services can be performed or materials delivered.
In the case of purchase orders:
Start of the period in which the service is to be performed or thematerial delivered.
End of validity period
Date up to which services can be performed or materials delivered.
In the case of POs:
End of the period in which the service is to be performed or thematerial delivered.
I maintained a validity date range 01/01/2007 to 01/10/2007. When i tried to receive the item with posting date 01/15/2007, the system saved the GR without even a warning message that the GR was outside the PO validity date.
How does this field work? Is this standard configuration or does this only work with a user-exit?
I would appreciate any input.

use transaction OMCQ,
set the status of message for M7 163 to error. if this message is not present in the list , then go to new entries and select this message and enter it into the list
after this set the status to "E".

Add Validity Start and Validity End On PO Header

need your help, I am trying to add Validity Start and Validity End Field on Additional Tab in Purchase Order header.
How do i add this field ?
i already check on MM define screen layout a document level, but there is not setting for this two field.

The validity start date & end date are used only for service orders. In configuration goto IMG>MM>Purchasing>PO>Define screen layout at document level and check into Administrative data, header of ME21N , the field selection key attached to your document type (Say NBF) and for field selection key AKTH.
The fields Start of validity period & Validity period end of field selection key ME21N, NBF & AKTH should be set as optional then only required fields will be visible on screen.

Shipment completion check is erasing load start and load end dates & times

Once the load start, load end is clicked during the pack process, the system reads this just fine. Once ship complete happens, the system is erasing the load start load end.
We are capturing the difference between Load end and Load start as Packing time in a custom report. Similarly the difference between Shipment end and Shipment start as Loading time. But we post goods issue the delivery by ship complete button the dates and times are gone. Any idea of how and where I can configure this not to disappear even after the ship complete. Thank you.

Have you checked the table VTTK with different fields before completing PGI? In other words you are wiping out the loading start and loading end details some how. You should have a value in your VTTk value before PGI. Check that.

How to set a default start and/or end date for New Events based on trigger date.

I'm using the CalendarActivityListener to get current row when clicking on an existing event. As per previous posts this listener gives you access to event detail including Start Date, End Date, etc.
However, what I want to do is to default the start (and end) dates for New Events based on the trigger date.
I've tried the CalendarListener and can grab the Trigger Date from it - however, I can't see a way to pass this directly to the popup/dialog I'm using to create the new event.
At present I'm putting the TriggerDate into the ADFContext session scope e.g. ADFContext.getCurrent().getSessionScope().put("TriggerDate",calendarEvent.getTriggerDate());
Then, I've tried multiple approaches to try and "get" the TriggerDate from session scope to drop it into my new Calendar Event basically, I'm trying to default the InputField(s) associated with the Start Date using the value from the session - I've tried
1. setting the default value for the InputField in the jspx using a binding expression i.e. value="#{sessionScope.TriggerDate}" - this actually sets the value appropriately when the jspx is rendered but, when I go to create I get a NPE and I can't debug. I assumed that it might be a Date type issue - it would appear that CalendarListener provides a date of type java.util.Date and that the StartDate attribute of my VO/EO/table is a DATE and therefore requires oracle.jbo.domain.Date so I tried casting it - to no effect
2. Using a Groovy expression *(StartDate==null?adf.context.sessionScope.TriggerDate:StartDate)* in my calendar's EventVO to default the Start Date to the same result

Thanks for that suggestion - could not get it to work. However, I did manage a different approach. I finally determined the sequence of events in terms of how the various events and listeners fire (I think).
Basically, the CalendarActivityListener fires, followed by the listener associated with the Calendar object's Create facet, followed finally by the CalendarEventListener - the final is where the TriggerEvent is available and then finally, control is passed to the popup/dialog in the Create facet. So, my approach of trying to set/get the TriggerDate in the user's HTTP session was doomed to failure because it was being get before it had been set :(
Anyway, I ended up adding a bit of code to the CalendarEvent listener - it grabs the current BindingContext, navigates through the DCBindingContainer to derive an Iterator for the ViewObject which drives the calendar and then grabs the currently active row. I then do a few tests to make sure we're working with a "new" row because I don't want to alter start & end dates associated with an existing calendar entry and then I define the Start and End dates to be the Trigger Date.
Works just fine. Snippet from the listener follows

Capture Latest start and latest end - date and time through PI category.

I want to capture latest start and latest date and time of each of the individual phases through PI categories. i.e these values should flow from process order.What characteristic do i have to include? I know PPPI_EVENT_DATE and time will not work for this.

Btw, I have viewed all these notes 368289.1, 603233.1, 399056.1, 329692.1, 1146414.1 already, but these don't seem to solve my problem because in each of these are under assumption that the initial Joining Date of the employee (i.e. Effective Start Date and Latest Start Date) is entered correctly without an issue, and these notes talk about dealing with 'Updating or Correcting' the data.
But In my case the pre-conditions are different, although those are making the system to respond in the same way (i.e. showing same error) some how.
As far as deleting the employees is concerned, yes that could be one option, but I am not really sure about adapting this solution as the dates I used in my case were just example dates, and in actual these employees are created almost 1 month back and they are already used in Projects module, CRM module and others.

How to input my own Validity Start and End Dates in ME21N

I have to change the Validity Start and Validity End date in Addiitional Data Tab of ME21 transaction( PO Create ) using default Customer Values.How Can i accomplish it?
I have used the BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and implemented it, I have coded in the method PROCESS_HEADER.First I retrieved the data using get_data( ) method, changed the values with Customer Values and called the method set_data( ).
However my validity start and End Dates and not changing.
Even in ME21N if I create the PO with my own Validity Start and End dates, and go to ME23N to display the created PO, still in the additional data tab, the start and End dates are current date and Next date respectively.why its happening?

Can you please let us know in which business scenario this is required.
SAP has provided separate functionality of Outline Agreement for considering validity period.
If you let us know the business scenarion some solution/workaround can be suggested.

Yes, It is available standard report using T-code ME2N - Purchasing Document (PO) Per Document Number, enter the T-code and provide the following input data's are as follows.
Scope of List                 : ALV ( for Ms-Excel format report)
Plant                               :   __________ to __________ (if required)
Document Date              : ____________ to ___________ (if Required)
Execute the report shown by default in excel format and if required PO validity start and end data, you have to select Change Layout button and open new window options screen right side field option as Validity Per.Start, Validity Period End, Commutative number field data's are selected and click <--- arrow button and then click bottom tick marked button. Now, the report shown your requirement.

How to change Validity Start and end dates on a lane ?

I am trying to change Validity start and end dates on a lane for a product specific assignment.
What I see is as follows
1) Lane created by system /others I can delete and give the required start /end date ?
I want to know if I can change the end date without deleting the lane as its tough to delete a lane in production.

Hi,
we can change the start period and end period in the Transportation lane using the table /SAPAPO/TRPROD.
And then using the update command you can change the start time and end time of the product.

How are valid-from and valid-to dates set in TRPROD table in APO during CIF

First question:
How are the valid-from and valid-to dates set in the APO TRPROD table?
For example, if I activate a transportaion lane model on March 1, 2008, will the valid-from and valid-to in TRPROD be 20080301 and 99991231?
Or are these dates defined in the model itself? Or in APO config somewhere?
Next question:
Suppose I rerun the model on May 1 2008 to add some records that didn't get added in the March 1 run. But suppose I want to back-date the valid-from of these records to March 1, rather than use May 1 as the valid-from.
Can this be done?
Or is the valid-from always the date of the CIF that creates the TRPROD records?

Let me try again.
1)
If I run a CIF on March 1 2008 based on a model that will generate APO TLane data, will the TRPROD valid-from and valid-to get automatically set to 20080301 and 99991231?
2)
If the answer to this question is yes, then is it also true that if I run a new set of records in on May 1, 2008 (no duplications with the original set), then the valid-from and valid-to dates will be 20080501 and 99991231.
3)
But if (1) and (2) are both true (if you answer them both "yes", then suppose I want the May 1 record set to have valid-from dates of March 1 (for example, if the May 1 record set includes records that didn't get included in the March 1 set due to an error in selection criteria). How do I get the valid-from to be March 1 when I run the CIF on May 1?
On the other hand, if (1) and (2) are NOT true, then how DO the two dates get set during a CIF ????

How to pass Valid from and Valid to Dates in CS_BOM_EXPLOSION

My requirement is to explode BOM using CMC LDB and generating files for all the remaining months by varying Valid from and Valid to dates. For this I am using CS_BOM_EXPLOSION but it has provision for a single date field.
Can you please guide me how to pass both Valid from and Valid to dates in CS_BOM_EXPLOSION ? And if you can suggest any other alternative, its most welcome...

There is a tables parameter STBP which is of type CSXGEN.
This structure CSXGEN contains two fields valid from date(DATUV) and valid to date(DATUB).
Is this what something you are looking for?

ARQ: Are "Valid From" and "Valid To" dates are considered for risk analysis???

Hi All,
I have one question w.r.t. risk analysis of user while raising a request in ARQ.
I have noticed that, when a user is assigned 2 conflicting roles in a request (with "Valid From" and "Valid To" fields being the same), ARQ shows risk violations properly.
This is quite logical, because user is assigned conflicting roles within the same dates.
In another scenario, if a user is assigned 2 conflicting roles in a request (with "Valid From" and "Valid To" fields being different)
Example:
Time Administration : Valid From=15.06.2014 and Valid To= 31.12.2014
Payroll Administrator: Valid From=20.06.2014 and Valid To= 31.12.2014
ARA still shows as violations (in ARQ)! Though the "Valid From" dates are different.
Logically, user is not assigned these roles at the same time to cause a risk violations. However, system is showing violations.
May I know if validity dates are considered while performing risk analysis in ARQ? If no, then what could be the justification?

I found following tables to mapped to Dim_Result_Bucket but unable to found columns pointing to Bucket Start Date and Bucket End Date.
