Variable Exit Code i_step = 2

Hi There
I have an issue with the code of type i_step = 2. What i want to do is to check a table and if a certain value is in that table i want to include a restriction for all values for the caracteristic on which the variable is based.
My code looks like this:
IF zuser_auth-comp_code = '*'.
          ls_range-low = '*'.
          ls_range-sign = 'I'.
          ls_range-opt = 'CP'.
          APPEND ls_range to e_t_range.
          EXIT.
ENDIF.
THE CP = * restriction is used without problems for i_step = 0 variables but it does not work for i_step = 2. Does anybody know why or know another way to restrict to all values in a i_step = 2 variable exit??
I hope that you can help me.
/Chris

Hi again
You are right the I_step = 2 is executed after execution of the query. When i debug the exit my exit variable code is executed but the result is that the program ends with an illegal state.Below i have inserted the complete code.
WHEN 'ZCECCST2'.  "Authorization check for Company Code
    IF i_step = '2'.
READ TABLE i_t_var_range into loc_var_range with key IOBJNM = '0COMP_CODE'.
      if sy-subrc <> '0'.
      SELECT * FROM ZUSER_AUTH WHERE
          username = l_uname.
      IF zuser_auth-comp_code = '*'.
          SELECT comp_code from /bi0/mcomp_code into ls_range-low.
          ls_range-low = '*'.
          ls_range-sign = 'I'.
          ls_range-opt = 'CP'.
          APPEND ls_range to e_t_range.
          ENDSELECT.
          EXIT.
      ELSE.
          ls_range-low = zuser_auth-comp_code.
          ls_range-sign = 'I'.
          ls_range-opt = 'EQ'.
          if ls_range-low <> ''.
            APPEND ls_range to e_t_range.
          endif.
      ENDIF.
      ENDSELECT.
      ELSE.
          ls_range-low = loc_var_range-low.
          ls_range-sign = 'I'.
          ls_range-opt = 'EQ'.
          APPEND ls_range to e_t_range.
      ENDIF.
  endif.

  • Variable Exit Code for the below requirement, Pls Urgent

I have a WorkDate and Finish Date coming in the cube. I have created 2 fields InfoObject High and InfoObject Low.
    1. The InfoObject High should output "Gigh" if the current date (or date entered into the selection criteria) is after the workdate and the finish date is blank.
    2. The InfoObject Low should output "Low" if the Finish Date has a value and it's greater than the WorkDate.

    Hi Raj,
In ver 3.5 this can be done using virtual logic in transaction CMOD.  Please note you will need to key your infoobject names below.
You will need to implement the following code within ZXRSRZZZ.
    FORM USER_<i>cubetobesepecified</i>
    FORM USER_<i>cubetobespecified</i> USING I_S_RKB1D TYPE RSR_S_RKB1D
                        CHANGING C_S_DATA TYPE ANY.
      ASSIGN COMPONENT G_POS_<i>cube_dateobjectusedforuserinput</i>
        OF STRUCTURE C_S_DATA TO <l_datekeyed>.
      ASSIGN COMPONENT G_POS_<i>cube_intoobjecthigh</i>
        OF STRUCTURE C_S_DATA TO <l_highlow>.
      ASSIGN COMPONENT G_POS_<i>cube_workdateojbect</i>
      OF STRUCTURE C_S_DATA TO <l_workdat>.
      ASSIGN COMPONENT G_POS_<i>cube_finishdateobject</i>
      OF STRUCTURE C_S_DATA TO <l_finishdat>.
      IF <l_finishdate> IS INITIAL
        AND <l_datekeyed> > <l_workdat>.
        <l_highlow> = 'High'.
      ELSEIF NOT <l_finishdate> IS INITIAL
        AND <l_datekeyed> < <l_workdat>.
        <l_highlow> = 'Low'.
      ENDIF.
    ENDFORM.
After this is complete you will need to implement the following code in ZXRSRU02.
        l_s_chanm-chanm = '<i>dateobjectusedforuserinput<i>'.
        l_s_chanm-mode = rrke_c_mode-read.
        append l_s_chanm to e_t_chanm.
      l_s_chanm-chanm = '<i> intoobjecthigh</i> '.
      l_s_chanm-mode = rrke_c_mode-no_selection.
      append l_s_chanm to e_t_chanm.
        l_s_chanm-chanm = '<i>workdateobject<i>'.
        l_s_chanm-mode = rrke_c_mode-read.
        append l_s_chanm to e_t_chanm.
        l_s_chanm-chanm = '<i>finishdateobject<i>'.
        l_s_chanm-mode = rrke_c_mode-read.
        append l_s_chanm to e_t_chanm.
Lastly under your Global data declarations, you will need to implement this code.
    G_POS_<i>cube_dateobjectusedforuserinput</i>,
    G_POS_<i>cube_intoobjecthigh</i>,
    G_POS_<i>cube_workdateojbect</i>,
    G_POS_<i>cube_finishdateobject</i>.
    I hope this helps.
    Kind Regards,

    Hi,
I had created two variables VAR1 and VAR2 as Customer Exit variables
If VAR1 is entered then it should automatically make the VAR2 as NO Entry Variable.
    vice versa also required.
can u help me with any code in CMOD so that we can make it inactive through Customer Exit Code.
    Thanks in Advance.

What i want is not commenting the code
I want to make the BEX Variable as inactive by using the Customer Exit Code
EX : If value in VAR1 is entered  then VAR2 should become automatically inactive.
If value in VAR2 is entered  then VAR1 should become automatically inactive.

  • Find SAP Exit code for Variable '0CMONTH '

I am trying to fnd the SAP exit code for variable 0CMONTH so I can create a customer copy and make the variable 'ready for input'. Any ideas where I can find the code or a simple way to effectviely copy the delivered variable.
I have tried looking in SE37 and then RSVAREXIT* but cannot seem to find the specific code I need.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Search the technical name for the variable in metadata repository and try to find the program where it is declared.  Then i hope u can go the code where it is written.

  • How to write customer exit code to get current user as default in variable

    Hi guys,
I design a query which has a variable called var_employee , I also set some default values for this variable in query designer. But I would like to set the current user account who logon on (who execute the query) in the dropdownlist as default user when the variable selection screen appear. of course after that he can choose other avaiable value.
I look up some related threads, all says that this need some customer exit code, and they mention to use CMOD to create the customer exit , but I don't know the detail process, as I am pretty new on this.
The attribute of the var_employee  variable is :  employee(defined info object by myself) characterstic value, customer exit.
Can somebody show me the process to create the customer exit, and the apap code in detail if possbile. then I can try.

  • BW User Exit - Code in function of the query name

    Hi,
I would like to create an user exit code which execute a algorithm different in function of the query executed. do you know in which variable is store the technical name of the query.
    CASE query
        WHEN 'Z_ZAPO_001'.
           V1 = 1
        WHEN 'Z_ZAPO_002'.
          V1 = 2    WHEN '10' OR '11' OR '12'.
    ENDCASE.

    Yaroslav,
I_S_RKB1D-COMPID will never be filled for authorization user-exits (I_STEP = 0). Don't ask my why, I once raised this question to OSS and they replied it was never foreseen to work with authorization user-exits. God knows why, it's very unlogical and it wouldn't cost them a lot of work to get it working...
I could solve this problem by applying a little trick. In our queries we included a user-exit keydate variable. This will push the user-exit first in I_STEP = 1 mode where I_S_RKB1D-COMPID is filled. Then save the query name by exporting it to the ABAP-memory. Afterwards, the user exit with code for I_STEP = 0 will be processed and then you can import the query name from the ABAP memory.
I agree it sounds a little bit tricky but there is no better option I'm affraid.

  • The window to select dimensions simply does not appear and I can't move forward, due to variables exit in the report

    Dear experts,
I am having an issue when I try to create a WEBI document using Bex query through OLAP connection (Bics).
Due to variables exit, it is not possible to open query pannel in webi to choose wich dimensions to add to the webi document.
The window to select dimensions simply does not appear and I can't move forward!
In RSRT ou Bex Analyzer, the query is running fine without errors.
CMOD code is like this (I believe there is not any error as it is working flawless on other reports for other variable names):
    WHEN 'ZREDT1'.
         IF i_step = 2.
           CLEAR wa2.
READ TABLE i_t_var_range INTO wa2 WITH KEY vnam = 'ZRE_DT_IN'.

             wa1-sign = 'I'.
             APPEND wa1 TO e_t_range.
           ENDIF.
         ENDIF.
    Please provide assistance,
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards,
    André Oliveira

    I solved it.
The problem was due to date coming to exit - as you know some time intervals start at 01-01-1000, and as I was calculating 1000-1 = 999
I was getting and interval from 99901 to 201405. Do not know if it was not working because CHAR NUMC6 was failing trying to recognize interval 99901 - 201405, but probably, this was the issue.
    Thanks for your inputs,
    Best regards,

    CONCATENATE curr_month curr_year INTO l_s_range-high.

  • Customer Exit Code

    Hello Folkes,
Could some one explain the below code step by step.
Is there any documentation explaining about L_S_RANGE-LOW ,L_S_RANGE-HIGH, etc How they are related to the customer variable. Please give your suggestions.
Lets assume variable ZVAR1 is on fiscal year:
and Lets assume variable ZVAR2 is on fiscal period:
    WHEN 'ZVAR2'.
    IF I_STEP = 2.
    LOOP AT I_T_VAR_RANGE INTO LOC_VAR_RANGE
    WHERE VNAM = 'ZVAR1'.
    CLEAR L_S_RANGE.
    L_S_RANGE-LOW = LOC_VAR_RANGE-LOW(4).
    L_S_RANGE-LOW+4(2) = '01'.
    L_S_RANGE-HIGH = LOC_VAR_RANGE-LOW(4).
    L_S_RANGE-HIGH+4(2) = '12'.
    L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
    L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'BT'.
    APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
    Regards
    -R

    Hi Rajesh,
The situation looks for me as following.
You have a query where the result is shown for the whole fiscal year (fiscal periods from 001 to 012 - most likely with K4 fiscal year variant).
Since you don't want to manually change the structure of the query (the reporting year) from year to year, you implemented the reporting year variable ZVAR1.
The user just enters the reporting fiscal year into variable ZVAR1, let's say 200X. The customer exit variable ZVAR2 (of range type) should return the range of fiscal periods to be applied, from 200X01 to 200X12.
So, the code does the following.
When the system executes a query containing ZVAR2 (WHEN 'ZVAR2' statement) after the user enters the variable value (IF I_STEP = 2 statement), it searches among the all entered variables values the reference to ZVAR1 variable (LOOP AT I_T_VAR_RANGE INTO LOC_VAR_RANGE
    WHERE VNAM = 'ZVAR1'. statement).
If the system finds it, it tooks the four digits of the entered date (it's the entered year) and adds to it 01 for the low range limit (L_S_RANGE-LOW4(2) = '01'. statement) and 12 for the higher range limit (L_S_RANGE-HIGH4(2) = '12'. STATEMENT) returning in the customer exit variable a range of fiscal periods from 01 to 12 of the reported year.
    The statement L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'BT'.
means that low and high values of the returned range should be treated as BeTween option, and
    the statement L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'
    means Inclusive.
So, the variable ZVAR2  returns its range value: BeTween 01 period of the entered year (through ZVAR1) till 12 period of the same year Inclusively.
It's simple. There is no need to write any documents or howtos.
For more details you can execute the SMOD t-code in English choosing:
    enhancement = RSR0001
    object components = Documentation
    and pressing Display button.
    Hope it helps.
    Eugene
The (your) query has a variable that limits the fiscal periods (most likely in columns).

  • Please help me to correct the Variable exit

    Hello,
I am trying to calculate the previous month from the user input 0CALMONTH variable 0I_CALMO. I have created another variable ZVPCALMON and have restricted a key figure Amount with this variable.
I have written the below code. When I debug the query I am able to get below in E_T_DATA
    Sign -> I
    OPT ->      EQ
    LOW -> 200508
when I enter the variable 09/2005 but I dont get the data in the report. However when I run the report without restricting the keyfigure with ZVPCALMON and input the calmonth as 08/2005 I am able to get the data.
    IF i_step = 2.
      CASE i_vnam.
    WHEN 'ZVPCALMON'.
            CLEAR : l_s_range,
                    l_month_low,
                    l_year,
                    w_var_range.
          LOOP AT i_t_var_range INTO w_var_range WHERE vnam = '0i_CALMO' .
            l_year  = w_var_range-LOW(4).
            l_month_low = w_var_range-low+4(2) - 1.
            IF l_month_low = 0.
              l_month_low = c_12.
              l_year  = l_year - 1.
              CONCATENATE l_year
                          l_month_low INTO l_s_range-low.
            ELSE.
              CONCATENATE l_year
                         l_month_low INTO l_s_range-low.
            ENDIF.
            l_s_range-sign = c_sign_i.
            l_s_range-opt  = c_range_opt_eq.
            APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
          ENDLOOP.
        WHEN OTHERS.
      ENDCASE.
    ENDIF.
I think I am missing something. Could anyone suggest what could have been wrong.
    Thanks,
    KK

    Hi KJ,
Thanks for the reply. I don't know why but a simple offset doesnt work either. I have restricted the key figure with 0CALMONTH Variable and put the offset '-1' but still I dont get the result. Thats the reason I have gone for the variable exit.
    thanks,

I have created one formula variable(zfmvavgytd) of type customer exit. and strucked at coding part.
so that, anybody provide customer exit code for required column(avgytd trgt). and details are as follows.
    0CALMONTH  ENO  ENAME  PERDAY_ TRGT
    04.2011             1     ABC             100
    04.2011             2     BCD             200

    07.2011             2     BCD             200
    till  03.2012
Now I want to display the column for ( AVG YTD_TRGT)   based on "0calmonth " & " ENo  "   as below
    AVG YTD_TRGT

  • Variable exit not taking multiple single values...urgent pls

    Hi BW Guru's
I have created an variable exit where the variable represents mulitple single values.
In the customer exit when i trying to populate mulitiple values and move it to e_t_range it is not taking multiple values. I have also observed that it is a line item type. I want to know if there is anyway out since it is an urgent requirement. Any help would highly appreciated. I shall also award points accordingly. Thanks.

    Hi Anil,
    Thanks for your prompt response.
I guess i am missing out some thing.
The scenaio is like this I want to hard code some values which have to be removed from the selection hence I have created the variable  with multiple single value variable and I have removed (unchecked) ready for input as it is not required. After your suggestion I have also made it mandatory but after running the query I am getting a message Abort no value determined. I have written this code under if i_step = 1.

    Thanks
    Vinod Kumar

    Hi Vinod,
    1) add following code into your exit-routine, at ??? fill your user-name:
    Routine will STOP here,
than in new session call transaction SM50
find your query-request and mark the line
now go to menue line to -program/session and -debugging
      DATA: help.
      WHILE help IS INITIAL
        AND sy-uname = '???'.
      ENDWHILE.
    2) after activation of exit-rountine start your query
    3) open new session and call transaction SM50
    4) check the list and look for your query-request and mark the line
    5) now go to menue line to -program/session and -debugging
    6) the run will stop at your while-statement
    7) now you must change the contents of the variable help to '1' to leave the while-loop
    8) with F5-Key you can proceed your coding

  • How to run the variable exit without calling the variable selection screen?

    Hi all
I have a query with 2 variables 0P_PRQUA (Previous Calendar Quarter (SAP Exit)) and ZCCDAT02.
ZCCDAT02 is a Key Date variable that is derived based on the last day of the quarter that is entered in 0P_PRQUA. The exit code works correctly when calling up the variable screen and ZCCDAT02 is derived properly.
The problem is that 0P_PRQUA is set to "Can be changed in query navigation". So if the user changes the value of the quarter the exit is not triggered and the value of ZCCDAT02 does not change.
Is it possible to trigger the exit or is there another way to do it? Ideas would be appreciated. I am trying to create a Web Template with a Dropbox box for the Quarter.
Query is written in BW 3.X.
    Regards
    Chami

    Hi guys
Just to restate the requirement. I want the user to be able to change the value of the variable, WITHOUT calling the variable selection screen.
I want the user to be able to change the value of the quarter by using a dropdown box from within the web template. Once that is selected I want the value of ZCCDAT02 to be derived from the new value of the quarter.
    Regards
    Chami
