  • How can I open a PDF file and enter a word in the Find field from the command line?

    Hi,
    I want to use a PDF file as the help file of another program.
    I have found somewhere an incomplete description of the command line parameters of Acrobat Reader.
    It described how to open a file and jump to its given page.
    I have written the following batch file based on that.
    rem Open pdf (prm1) with Acrobat reader at given page (prm2)
    "%adobe_rdr%\AcroRd32.exe" /N "zoom=73&page=%2=OpenActions" %1
    The following batch file opens the search dialog:
    rem Open pdf (prm1) with Acrobat reader
    rem and search for something (prm2)
    "%adobe_rdr%\AcroRd32.exe" /N "zoom=73&navpanes=1=OpenActions&search=%2" %1
    I need the simple find field instead of the complicated search window.

    Not possible.

  • How to pass in variables using the command line when starting ActionScript native app

    How do I pass in variables or startup arguments using the command line when starting an ActionScript native app? For example, I have my app call MySweetWidget and it has been compiled with Adobe AIR captive runtime so now I have MySweetWidget.exe.
    In the command line, I am calling MySweetWidget.exe and would like to pass in variables or properties to the application. I would assume that those variables are then read from the loaderInfo.parameters object.
    Please let me know if the Adobe AIR runtime supports passing in parameters to the native runtime. If so, I would like help determining the correct format of how to pass in the variables. Then would you read those from the loaderinfo.parameters object?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    I found the answer to my own question:
    Yes it is a supported feature. It is documented on the following page:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/desktop/NativeApp lication.html#event:invoke
    When you subscribe to the invoke event of the NativeApplication it will subsequently dispatch the event and you read the e.arguments Array object to get the startup arguments passed into the native application.

    try checking relevant environment variables like the CLASSPATH.... a major source of failures in Windows is when in the classpath there is a path containing SPACES.... also enabling some "debug" or "verbose" flag (not sure how to do it) would provide more insight...

  • How can hide the command line of a t.code in the portal

    Dear Experts.
    I have the following doubt:
    How can hide the Command Line of a Report that is called with a T.Code in the portal?
    Attach Image:
    [Image T.Code|http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/eab3b6a03c.jpg]
    When I created a service using the T.Code SICF for the T.Code , I can hide buttons and the filed command line  using
    ~webgui_simple_toolbar
    ~singletransaction
    ~NOHEADEROKCODE
    With notes 1010519, "SAP GUI for HTML: Simplified Title Area Without Menu and OK Code" and 959417.
    But the problem is that when I create the service in the T.Code SICF, I also have that create an Iview IAC in the portal.
    The Question is : How can hide this fields and buttons if I want Publish the T.code using an Iview Transaction in the portal?
    In this moment I have used the two options:
    1 option) I created a service using the t.Code SICF for my Transaction and I also created an Iview IAC in the portal for call the service.
    RESULT:
    SAP Web Application Server
             500 Connection timed out
            Error: -5
           Version: 7000
           Component: ICM
           Date/Time: Sat Jun 12 20:26:39 2010
           Module: icxxthr_mt.c
           Line: 2698
           Server: xyxab...
    Error Tag: {-}
    Detail: Connection to partner timed out after 60s
    2)  created an Iview Transaction  in the portal and  call my transaction.
    RESULT.
    [Image T.Code|http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/eab3b6a03c.jpg]
    But not can hide the field Command Line and other buttons.
    I think that the command :
    ~webgui_simple_toolbar
    ~singletransaction
    ~NOHEADEROKCODE
    Only can be used if I create a service using the T.Code SICF .
    Best Regards
    Carmen.

    Hi Carmen,
    The bottom line is that this cannot be done for transaction iviews without modifying the standard webgui service in SICF, which is probably not a good idea (since it affects everyone using SAP GUI for HTML). (You could hack the appintegrator to add the ~webgui_simple_toolbar parameter to the transaction URL template in the portal, but again its not a recommended thing to do ...). Better to create an IAC service in SICF with ~webgui=1 where you set the required appearance using an appropriate value for ~webgui_simple_toolbar, and then create an IAC iview to point at this service.
    You can even override the ~transaction value configured in the new service in individual IAC iviews by entering the appropriate value in the application parameter of the iview, for example:
    ~okcode=/nSU01
    And you can pass parameters in the same way:
    ~okcode=/nSU01 USR02-BNAME=xyz;USREFUS-USERALIAS=abc;
    By the way, it would not be recommended to create a URL iview to access an IAC, since you are likely to encounter session management issues in this scenario - better to use an IAC iview.

  • Is there a way to pass archive file name to the command-line control?

    Hi there,
    I have been researching the flash media live encoder laterly. But still cannot find confirmed anwsers on the following questions:
    1. Is there a way to pass an archive file name to the command-line control when starting an encoder?
    2. Can the username/password to the Flash Media Server be saved in the profile? If not, is there any otherway to provide(GUI mode) them automatically,
        like as variables to a script?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Helen

    1. The only way to inform the command-line encoder about the archive file name is to save the FMLE session profile with the file name. The node for saving the file name is <output><file><path>C:\sample.flv</output></file></path>. The easier way to update the xml profile is to use "Save Profile" option of the GUI mode. If you want to programmatically update the file name, read the profile and update the node before launching the encoder. I hope this answers your question.
    2. No. Credentials can't be saved in the profile. The only way to provide them programmatically is to use /ap and /ab commands for the command-line encoder. For GUI mode, there is no programmable option. But still you can try capturing keystrokes.

  • Counting arguments in the command line

    I need to write a snip of code that will check the command line to make sure there are 5, no more or less, arguments. If not I have to return an error message. Anyone have any ideas?
    Stephen

    The command line args will be in a String[] passed to main(). Arrays have a length field that tells you how many elements they have.

  • [svn] 2716: SDK-15848 - Conditional compilation constants defined in flex-config. xml are never used if a single constant is specified on the command line

    Author: [email protected]

    Log Message:
    SDK-15848 - Conditional compilation constants defined in flex-config.xml are never used if a single constant is specified on the command line
    * There's a possibility this will break a conditional complication test which disallows overwriting an existing definition -- I don't know if that will break the build, but the test should be removed either way.
    * Using append syntax ("-define+=" on the command line or ant tasks, or append="true" in flex-config) and redefining a value works now if you use an already-defined namespace and name.
    * So your flex-config may have -define=CONFIG::debug,false, and you may want -define+=CONFIG::debug,true from the commandline build, or FB build.
    * Made the ASC ConfigVar fields final as a sanity check since overwriting is now allowed. It would be harder to track changes and subtle bugs if they were mutable. This means that you must build a new ConfigVar object if you need to make changes.
    Bugs: SDK-15848
    QA: Yes. Please read the updated javadocs in CompilerConfiguration. Tests need to be added to validate that overwriting is allowed, and happens correctly in different situations: I believe the order should be that flex-config is overwritten by a custom config (can we have more than one user config? is the order deterministic? I forget...), is overwritten by commandline or OEM. Did I miss any? (I didn't write code which changes this, it works however the existing configuration system allows overwriting and appending; if we have tests for that, maybe we don't need them duplicated for this feature.)
    Doc: Yes. Please read the updated javadocs in CompilerConfiguration.

  • What happens when a program name is typed on the command line?

    I mean I know what HAPPENS but I need to know the sequence of events. How would I describe it?
    i.e. java MyProg

    What is this? Are you taking a take-home exam on basic computer operation? You're asking very similar questions about broad things.
    Anyway:
    1) the shell parses the command line. it gets a sequence of tokens which are basically just individual strings
    2) the shell identifies which tokens on the command line are executables, and which are arguments to those executables. It also figures things out like how to chain the output of one program to the input of another, although this doesn't apply in the example you gave. In your example, "java" is the executable and "MyProg" is a string to pass to the executable as an argument.
    3) The shell then searches for the actual program file corresponding to the token that refers to an executable. The shell looks at the PATH environment variable to find a list of directories; it then looks in each directory until it finds the program file. So the program file here would be "java.exe" on a windows system.
    4) It then spawns off a new process to run the java program, passing the MyProg string to it as an argument.
    Does that help?

  • How do I edit the file where sites which I have typed in on the command line are stored? These are sites which I no onger use.

    At times I type in a site name on the command line which I want to visit. This goes into a file which is accessed by highlighting the triangle on the right side of command line. This file contains previous sites which were accessed in the past. How do I edit this file and and remove previous site URLs?

    Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop down list:
    #Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
    #Highlight an entry in the drop down list
    #Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

  • Reading commands from the command line

    Ok I've read quite a bit about streams, and I get the gist that you are suppose to open up a "stream," whether it from a file or from something else, and then you have to do all sorts of stuff to it like activate it or something, or whatever. But all I want to do is take an input from the command line, for example my name, and have it output "Hi [name]." I could swear I've done this before with a simple command like
    System.in.read() or something like that, but I read up on it and read is not a method that does that? So how does one just do a simple command line input into a variable...for what I want to do is control movement on a maze. If somebody can direct me to some documentation I would be happy as well. Thank you

    btw - "deadseasquirrels" - like the name. Have another program;-
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.Random;
    public class Do_Writing {
       public static void main( String args[] ) throws IOException {
       BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader
                           (new InputStreamReader(System.in));
       Random rand = new Random();
       int i = 1+ rand.nextInt(10);
       String s1;
       System.out.println("Guess a number between 1 and 10");
          try {
             while ((s1 = in.readLine() ) != null) {
                // if( ... I'll leave the rest to you to figure out
                // when they get it right don't forget to include;-
                System.exit(0);
                in.close();
       catch (IOException ignore) { }
    }

  • Could not view data in the Em while in the command line query works

    Hi, all,
    I have met with this problem for several times.
    I have an Oracle 10.0.2.0 running on Redhat linux E3.
    After I insert or just input some data in a table. I could see the new data in the command line.
    SQL> select * from tablename;
    But I could not see the new data in the EM. If I export the table to, say, MS Access, the new data doesn't show. The data is there, but I have to wait for some time. (several mins to hours)
    Do you have any idea of it??
    Thank you very much!
    Qian

    Thank you for your reply.
    Why sometimes it doesn't show in other sessions, but sometimes it shows?
    Any way, I will perform commit to see....
