  • ALD VAT Sum Question

I am a realy newbie regarding to the ALD in Business One.
I am trying to print out at the end of my producttable in my invoice a line like this:
"incl. VAT with Code A2 at 16,00% (for instance) of (the amount of all the lines which are calculated with the Code A2) (and then the sum of the taxes)"
Could you tell me how to describe the function ?
    Thanks in advance

I had the same problem. At first it looks as though SAP has already worked upon tax summaries inside ALD, but there was no way to find out how they should work.
One can only shout out loud that, at least with german laws, <b><i>ALD is no use for sales documents as long as it can't produce VAT sums</i></b>.
    <u><b>Here's a workaround:</b></u>
    1. Create three sum variables for each relevant vat group:
    - price before taxation (e.g. "PRICE")
    - price after taxation (e.g. "GROSS")
    - tax itself (e.g. "VAT")
    Example:
    Implementing two tax groups, create:
    @PRICE1,@PRICE2,@GROSS1,@GROSS2,@VAT1,@VAT2
    2. Use conditional accumulation for the sum variables:
    Example for a @GROSS1 variable:
    if( Belegzeile.Steuerdefinition_VatGroup.Code="A1" , Belegzeile.Preis_inkl__Steuer * Belegzeile.Menge , 0 )
Sorry 'bout the german field names; I'm sure it'll be easy to translate.
    3. Create taxation summary in the footer of your table:
    - Add one line per tax group.
    - Use the corresponding sum variables to print out values.
    - Use one of the sum variables for definition of a print condition. Example:
    @GROSS1>0
The corresponding VAT sum line will only be printed if there are amounts available in the current document.
    That's all!
It's quite easy, but it requires static definition of known tax groups. Sum variables can only be numeric, so there's no way to extract the tax group names from the database for later use.
However, to create a more generic template you can define the group names and codes by user variables. Usage of such "constants" could make adaption of form templates much easier (I use them for tax names and fstring$ format definitions).
    ====================================
    Extension:
If you want to extract the vat percentage rates into sum variables you would have to expand the variable calculations as such (example for sum variable @PERC1):
    if(@PERC1=0 and Belegzeile.Steuerdefinition_VatGroup.Code="A1",Belegzeile.USt__Prozentsatz_pro_Zeile,0)
@PERC_A1 will only be accumulated once and takes over a single desired value.
<i>keywords: "advanced layout designer" tax taxation "tax summary" "vat summary" vat invoice legal</i>

  • VAT not appearing in Print preview

    Dear Experts,
We have created one Purchase order in our concern. That materials are not excise. only VAT applicable.
In Calculation schema we have updated Printer setting. In PO, Conditions tab VAT is available. but in print preview we can not able to see.
    Rectify.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Check did your VAT condition type is included in the purchase order Smartform or Form
where Smartform or Form assigned to Purchase Order output type in t.code:NACE  with apllication EF.
Discuss with your Technical Consultant and cross check inclusion of VAT condition in PO Smartform or Form with logic for calculation.

  • How can i use only black cartridge for printing documents

i have today installed hp 1510 all in one printer, it uses ink from the both cartridges i just want to use black ink for printing documents, how can i do that
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi @sandeepv
I can help you with your print settings, so the printer will print black and white only.
If you have a Mac operating system, use the instructions below.
Printing with the Black Print Cartridge Only option
Click File and then click Print.
Make sure your printer is selected.
Verify that the Preset option is set to Standard.
In the Copies & Pages menu, select Select Paper Type / Quality.
NOTE:If this option is not available, click ColorSync. Then click the down arrow beside Quartz Filter and change the setting from None to Black & White.
    Select the Paper tab.
From the Color option menu, select Grayscale.
    Select the Color Options tab.
Select the Black Print Cartridge Only option.
If that option is not listed, then it is not available. The printer will print using only the black cartridge, however, printing with one cartridge will be slower than printing with both cartridges.
NOTE:To save the setting, click the arrow next to Preset and select Save As. Save the Preset option as Black Cartridge Only and then click OK. Then, the next time you want to print with just the black cartridge, select the Black Cartridge Only Preset.    -Source

  • Print Templates print preview window closes unexpectly when printing document

This is a cross posting from Internet Explorer Web Development after a suggestion that this forum would be a better location. See
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/ie/en-US/351e1245-b606-4467-9f3c-1c72f9cdf9ea/print-templates-print-preview-window-closes-unexpectly-when-printing-document?forum=iewebdevelopment.
I have raised an issue through Connect for this:
https://connect.microsoft.com/IE/feedback/details/1134168/ie9-to-ie11-print-templates-print-preview-window-closes-unexpectly-when-printing-document, but I would like some more visibility of the issue as my customers thought my application was closing when
they printed a document.  I also don't know if an issue in Connect gets any priority support via MSDN, but this forum does.
This looks to me like a problem in the IE Print Templates startDoc API call, but if there is a more appropriate forum to raise this issue in please let me know.
In the application where I use print templates, the window closing is not in it self a problem because the Javascript that is calling startDoc also closes the Print Preview window when the print is finished.
The fact that the application looses focus and can be hidden by the windows of other applications when the Print Preview window is closed by startDoc is the issue noticed by our customers, so I need a fix preferably, or a work around at a pinch.
Details of the issue reproduced below.
When using IE Print Templates, the startDoc function is causing the print preview window to close.  This behaviour started with IE9, and is still present with IE11.
When an application is using print templates (see
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa753279(v=vs.85).aspx) for print functionality, this has the effect of causing the application to become hidden by any other application window once printing from the print preview window has started.  It is
actually this behaviour that started me looking at this issue as the users thought the hosting application had closed.
Print Templates are not accessible by using IE as a web browser, but only when using the WebBrowser Control to embed IE in an application.  The reference for this feature is available from this url:https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa753279(v=vs.85).aspx
and a sample Microsoft application that demonstrates the use of Print Templates can be used to demonstrate the problem (required for the reproduction steps).  The application is available via this article and searching for "download spiffy".
    Steps to reproduce the problem:
To see the full effect of the issue, first ensure there is a window from another application (like Windows Explorer) that will cover the sample applications window if brought to the foreground (making the Windows Explorer window full screen works).
Start the sample application (and ensure that the full screen Window Explorer is the next application to activate).
Then in the drop down box in the top right corner of the UI select Template8.htm.
Click the Print Preview button that is just below the drop down box (this will open a new Print Preview window).
In the new window click the Print… button (this will open a Print dialog).
Click the Print button at the bottom of the Print dialog.
The Print dialog closes (expected) and then the Print Preview window also closes (not expected), however the document is still printed successfully.
When the Print Preview windows is closed unexpectedly, the Windows Explorer window is brought to the foreground (obscuring the sample applications window).
If you reselect the sample application and click the Print Preview button again, the Print Preview dialog is not displayed unless you restart the application (this looks to be a symptom of the same issue, not a separate problem).
To see that the Print Preview window appears to be closed by the startDoc call, use the resource editor in Visual Studio (the exe can be opened directly by File | Open | File…) to edit the HTML resource "TEMPLATE8.HTM" (I found I needed to delete
it and add it back in for the change to stick), find the startDoc call and add two alerts, one on the line before and one on the line after.  When IE is accessing the template, it is being done using the name of the executable (so do not rename the modified
version of printtemplates.exe, make the changes to a copy in a different directory if you don't want to change the original).  Start the modified version of the application and follow the same steps as in the reproduction.  This time, after clicking
the Print button in the Print dialog, the dialog will close, the first alert will pop up, then the Print Preview window will close, then
the second alert will pop up.
    Thank you,
    Warren.

    Hi Shu,
I have noticed that the print templates API is listed as part of the Legacy APIs.
Is this just because it hasn't changed or is not new?  Or does this mean that it is no longer maintained and may be removed (or at least deprecated) at some point in the future?
It would good to know if we should start planning for the implementation of a different method of printing.
I understand that the sample application is no longer maintained, but I also think that the Print Template API that it uses has not changed, and so should still work (and it does mostly).
If the Print Preview window was being closed as a result of using the Print dialog (and if it had behaved the same way with IE8) I would be willing to go with the by design argument.
I have found that the Print Preview window is not closed until startDoc is called, and it closes before control is returned from the startDoc function.
Just as part of investigating and try to find a workaround, if I call window.close(), any alert calls made no longer display the alert window after the close call.
Alert still functions after startDoc has closed the window however.
The is not the sort of consistent behaviour I would expect from something that is by design.
Also while investigating, I found that calling startDoc after calling window.close() results in an exception with the error code -2147467259 (0x80004005), this is probably quite normal and expected, but does indicate that the Web Browser Control should
not be closed till after printing.
I had found that old thread, and I had concluded it was the same issue, but it was also aimed at different aspect of the problem (which I see in the sample application, but not my application).
The visible issue I have is that my users think the application has been closed because after clicking print (on the Print dialog) the application gets hidden by other windows from other applications.
This aspect affects the sample in the same manner and so it was a convenient way to demonstrate the problem.
If IE connect do not look at this issue any time soon, do I have any other avenues to resolve this issue?
    Thank you,
    Warren.

  • Print document's name in Event Log ID #307 on Server 2012

Creating a new printer server using Windows Server 2012.  Everything is working out fine so far, however I just ran into one problem that didn't happen in our Server 2008R2 print server.
When looking at print jobs that have completed under:  event logs --> Microsoft --> Windows --> PrintService --Operational, I have noticed that Event ID 307 is not displaying the printed document's name in Server 2012 (it did for Server 2008R2).
In Server 2012, the document name simply displays as "Print Document" instead of displaying the document's name.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get the document's name to properly display in the event logs?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Alan,
I have configured a Server 2012 R2 standard as print server to manage printers and Monitor the print usage of users, however I am not getting the Print logs (Event Log ID 307) in the default event logs directory on the print Server.
I perform some search and come to know that it’s a known problem in Server 2012 and there is Hotfix available. I installed the Hotfix mentioned here
http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2938013/en-us , but still logs are not getting generated.
I also made the below setting for the logs.
    Creating Registry entry
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers] "ShowJobTitleInEventLogs"=dword:00000001
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers] "ShowJobTitleInEventLogs"=dword:00000001
The policy name: Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Printers
Allow job name in event logs
Keep printed Docs setting is also enabled on all the printers installed on Print Server.
Noting seems to be working here or am i doing something wrong here.

  • Editing Adobe PDF print documents

I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.2.6 in Vista OS.
I normally print  documents into Adobe PDF and save it.  I want to copy some of the text from that document by selecting a sentence in the document.  However, I am not able to do it in the printed document. I am not able to make any undelines or any marks to the text or copy a sentence as I can do with other normal Adobe PDF documents.
I wonder anyone here knows how to make that PDF print documents editable, such as copy a sentence or make underline so on as we can do in the normal documents.
    Thanks for any help.

    Satyrias, try this-
Open the PDF document. Click on Tools Menu -> Advanced Editing -> Touch up Text Tool.
Select the Text. (It will show Loading Fonts... in the right bottom corner). Once done you can select the text and modify it.
However, if you only want to copy a text -> Use 'Select Tool' it looks like an 'i-beam' on toolbar. User it to select text and copy that.
If you want to apply styles:
Right click on the selected text and click on Properties.
Here you can change the color or apply stroke to make it bold.
But I'm afraid, you cannot underline the text here... Adobe recommends users to create the document outside Acrobat and when they are done with that they can finally convert to PDF. There is very limited options available when it comes to edit the documents. Only those that are majorly used.
If the document is a scanned pdf or its an image you can try the following: (However, using Acrobat 8, as its an older version, the chances are not as great as using Acrobat X)

  • Problem Scanning Duplex Printed Document

I would appreciate help with the problem described below. Problem: Scanning duplex printed document scans first page Perfectly but second page comes out solid black. OS: Windows 7
    Printer: Canon PIXMA MX860
Software App: Canon MP Navigator EX - mx860 series I would appreciate your help in solving this problem.Thank you,
    --Dennis--

Thank You for the advice. I called technical help and Jesse spent considerable time and effort to help me solve the problem. The final verdict is that their is a hardware glitch, not software, The nearest Canon repair center is apparently in some place called Lake Forest, CA.  I was born and lived all my life in Southern CA and never heard of Lake Forest. It must be in Northern CA so I can't simply take it in to the shop for repairs. Jesse informed me of a consumer loyalty discount available if I should wish to purchase a new printer.

  • How to see total 'Quantity' on footer of PLD printed document?

The bottom line is that I want to see the total number of products on a document at the bottom of every page, like how the "Total" is the entire document total, and shows the same on every page of a printed document.
This is for an item level purchase order.
For example, if we want to buy 4 cases of item A and 5 cases of item B, the bottom of the purchase order would say 9 in the area labeled Total QTY.
I can do this on a single page purchase order using ColSum("Field_89") or ReportSum("Field_89")  Field 89 is the ordered QTY on a purchase order.
However, on a multi-page page report, it only either sums page by page, or does a cumulative total by page (as in the first page shows the total of the first page, the second page shows the total of the second page + the total of the first page and so on)
This happen no matter where I put the ReportSum() function, meaning in the header, footer, repetitive area or repetitive area header/footer.
The purchase order I'm testing has a total qty of 385 items, and 3 pages of line items. When I try to use 'ReportSum()' on the quantity field, the first page shows 75, second page shows 283, third page shows 385.
How can I get the 385 to show up on all three pages of the purchase order?

Thanks, but this does not work. It only sums the quantities of the individual page.
I want the total of all quantities from the all pages of the report to show on every single page.
Using the example I originally provided, your solution only summed each individual page, so all three pages showed a different number. I swapped out PageSum() with ReportSum() and it gave me the same incorrect results I described in my example.
Using the example above, all pages should read '385' as the total quantity. It should be like the 'Document total' (which I know is a system variable) that shows the same on all pages of a report.

  • Opacity in printed documents

I want to print white text on a blue background in indesign, and I'm trying use the companies website color
as the blue background.  when i go to print, however, the printed blue bg  is many shades deeper than the blue
that appears on the web.  Can I reduce the opacity of the blue in the printed document to get it closer to the
web blue?  There is no other color or image behind the blue backgroud in the printed document.  I assume that
since the paper that I will print to is white, the reduced opacity of the blue background will make the blue appear
    lighter. Is this correct?

    How was it printed?
Did the color look correct on your monitor BEFORE it was printed? Was it defined as an RGB, CMYK or Spot color? Remember though, that without a calibrated monitor and proper color management, what you see on screen is meaningless when you go to print. Taking an electronic file means nothing. You are providing a set of numbers that define a color, but not providing a key for how to interpet those numbers, and without that information the numbers will be presumed to belong to the color space in use on the output device.
There are two places where one can adjust "opacity" of a color in ID. The first is in the effects panel where you set a true opacity setting to make a transparent object. Applying transparency is almost certainly NOT the correct way to lighten this color. Creating a TINT (sometimes referred to as a screen) of the color is much more straightforward and will accomplish the same thing (letting the paper show through) without introducing the added file complexity of transparency that can be a real headache with some printers.
Tints can be applied to colors for which there are swatches defined. if there is not already a swatch, you can select the object and open the color panel, then choose "add swatch" from the panel menu to add just that color, or select "add unnamed colors" from the Swatches Panel menu to add a swatch for every color combination used in the document which currently is not already included. In the upper right of the Swatches Panel there's a field marked tint with a percentage slider. Once added to the swatches the same color will appear by default in the Color Panel as a single color ramp that does the same thing. You can also select a swatch and choose make new tint swatch from the panel menu if you know the tint you would like to use (or make a guess -- you can edit the swatch at any time) and that will be available to apply like any other swatch.
Transparency should only be used when you want interaction with something behind that color. Since this is the background there is nothing behind for interaction.

  • How do I adjust settings to allow me to print documents directly from the internet, i.e., emails?

  • Print document in UCM

    Hi,
It is possible to print document in UCM?. I want to print the document through RIDC . Please Help
    Thanks,
    Jai

Your printer options should show you how to print any document at 50% size.
In my HP printer, for instance, I can print a document at 50% by telling the printer to print 2 pages to a sheet.
This will print it either at the top of the page or the left side of the page, depending on the orientation. If you want to print it at 50% in the middle of the page, see if the option is available on your printer by opening File>Print and exploring the options.
    Good luck,

    yes
you write a mobile app, its only when you compile it you choose android or iOS (or both)
an android app is complied to a 'native' .apk file that uses AIR mobile
an iOS app compiles to native .isa that is apparently indistinguishable to the code that is produced by the apple sdk so there is no need for AIR or flash player
yes, deploying to apple is a pain in the ***, but that is down to their certificate procedure which is presumably the same for objective-c. You have to apply for a certifiate and provisioning file for each app, and each app is approved before it goes in the store.
