VBA and COM
Hi everyone,
I am a really new at trying to call COM from VBA.
Here is what I've done.
a) I creates a Class Library in C# with a really simple method.
b) I created a tlb and snk file using sn.exe, gacutil.exe, regasm.exe.
I checked that my class is located in \windir\assembly.
c) I opend my Outlook 2002 and created a macro.
d)In the Tools->References menu, I selected the tlb file.
e) here is the code of the VBA macro:

End Sub
This compile.
But, when I try to know the methods in the objAdd object...there aren't.
This object should contain the Add method to add 2 numbers.
Can someone help me with this issue ?

I already download Acrobat SDK before, but it's really complicated for someone who know only VBA at intermediate level.
I really plan to learn javascripts and COM in future, but I was thinking that if I ask you for I guess easy think (opening files and saving them to pdf) you will help by giving similar code or some clues.
Anyway I found this two methods in documentation: PDDoc.Save and PDDoc.Open and I believe that a combination of them can finally help me. Do you know how I can connect them to one part? -

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports (not "Diagnostic and Usage Messages") for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. I know the report is long. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful. -

We can not clear all recents(30 recents call). When Tango show "No recents call". We touch other buttons and come back to Recents button again. It still show 30 recents call.

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be. -

Hi,
From the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and select Sevices. Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button. Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the job has been removed.

my iphone 5 on the ios 7.1.2 suddenly wont fully turn on...it gets stuck on the apple logo and stays like that for approximately to 90 secs then goes blank but I can see a bit of lighting behind the dark screen....it goes off by itself and comes on by itself trying to boot but still gets stuck on the apple logo after the dim light shows....when I connect to iTunes my phone can only be recognised only in recovery mode thus if I force it into recovery mode. My main worry is I don't have a back up of any of my data...on icloud I have just less than 2GB of my data which is as a result of incomplete back up...HOW CAN I GET THIS PHONE WORKING AGAIN WITHOUT LOSING MY DATA...if I can only just recover my data I would really appreciate it as I really need almost everything on it back...if I can only get retrieve my data and lose the phone I wouldn't mind at all....Anybody know how to resolve this??Kind Regards

NOTE: when user enters all fields and clicks on button it goes to "second.jsp" their ajax response (1 table) generating. That means page wont get refreshed. (panel is fixed) only down 1 table will generate.
on FROM DATE AND TO DATE basis.
if user presses on F5 also state maintaining with the help of bean object.
i.e, say user in response table clicks on "page 5" then presses on F5 .
but problem is when user goes to "bbb" link or "ccc" or "dddd" (separate interface or link) which is not related to this
(they r nearly 50 interfaces or links) and comes back to "aaa" still old response is there.
NOTE: i can clear the bean object, but if i clear the bean object in "onload" or general i cant handle F5 issue.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

JVM Crash When Using JNI and COM
I'm trying to call a DLL compiled from VB6 source code that I do not have access to. The VB6 code simply retrieves data from a DB2 database using ADO and my client code grabs that data and marshals it to my Java code. I'm attempting to achieve this using JNI and COM (without a third-party bridge). It works 75% of the time, but the other 25% of the time, the JVM crashes with the usual Hotspot crash log containing an access violation exception. However, I don't know what in my C++ code (VC++ 8) could be causing this except for passing a "wild" pointer to the code lying underneath the COM object interface. If that is the case, I don't know how I am doing that.
The Java code that is calling my native method is running on Tomcat 5.5.25 and just to be safe, I am not allowing multiple threads to concurrently call the method in my JNI DLL (though I realize that this will kill performance). Once I can get past this problem, I'll do the COM interfacing on a worker thread in my native code so I don't screw up CoInitialize and CoUninitialize calls in the case the same thread is concurrently executing multiple calls to my native code.
I've noticed that in most cases, the JVM crashes during my call to the pClsAccount->OpenConnection method. However, my DLL isn't what is listed on the top of the call stack, which is why I suspect the passing of a wild pointer, though I'm just taking a guess at that. Does anyone have an idea as to what's going on ?

Please help my ipod touch is no longer syncing to my computer fully and comes up with "unable to start a session with ipod" and the ipod sign disappears when you try to click on it to see what's happening.

Did I miss something in the fine print? I installed Lion and and come to find out, I can no longer open any Word documents or Excel spreadsheets as they are no longer supported (apparently because they are PowerPC apps). Seriously?!?!?!?!! What are my alternatives?

You might find it helpful to "try before you buy" - there is a 30 day free trial offer for Office for Mac 2011, accessible from M's .com website.
You may be able to use this period to open and resave your old documents in a format that enables you to switch instead to using Apple's iWorks apps moving forward.
I initially intended to do something similar, but ended up buying Office as it provided an easier way (for me, at least) to continue working with years worth of old emails, letters, spreadsheets and other documents (from my PC days) without risking damage to their integrity, formatting, etc. -
I have an iMac as my home computer, upgraded to this about a year ago from a windows pc and love it.
However...
I have a HP Compaq laptop that i am running with Windows Vista, which I use when travelling. A while ago, I believe on an update, to either windows or itunes, it stopped running iTunes and comes up with the error : Runtime Error: R6034 - An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
I have a reasonable amount of tunes stored on my laptop, and am unable to ascertain as to whether this fix for allowing itunes to work again will delete my music folder and lose all the tunes i have on my laptop already?
The contents of my music folders on my laptop and iMac are not the same, as they are not synced!
Any help please on this would be appreciated!
