Verify/Download Active-X Control through WD Java.

Hi,
Is the following scenario feasible under Webdynrpo Java ?
I have a Business scenario where on executing a Java Webdynrpo application it tries to render a scanned image.Eventually, to display the image client should have active-X control installed.
Requirement : Java WD application should verify the intended client system(where image gets displayed) if it has the active-X control installed.If not, it should provide user with the option of downloading the active-X control.

For this requirement, i dont think we need to write code, i think this is just Browser setting at client machine.
Open the IE> Tools->InternetOptions->Security>CustomLevel---->Active X Contol Plugins

My CA is in Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition SP2. The versión of CA is 5.2.
I have the Windows Certificate server configurated in that server with a MMC 3.0, and also vía
http://domainserver/certsrv.
With MMC I don't have any problem, but with
http://domainserver/certsrv I have the following problem:
When I select "request a certificate", "advanced certificate request", "create and submit a request to this CA" the following message appears: "downloading Active X control". Despite this message I can work with the page, and when I select "web
server" as a certificate template, the following message appears: "you need to install the following CSPs before the enrollment, Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider, and Microsoft DH SChannel Cryptographic Provider".
When I select "request a certificate", "user certificate", the same message appears "downloading Active X control".
Someone knows how I can fix this problem¿?

Need to obtain a handle to Data Controls through a java pgm in Oracle ADF

Hi
Through my java pgm i want to access the Data Control which i have created over a Web Service.The reason i need to do that is, once i can obtain a handle to the Data Control i will be able to invoke methods exposed on the Web Service and i want to do it through my pgm.
I am aware that if i can drag and drop a DC of a web service onto a JSF page, it will be associated with a btn and on click of a btn the webservice method will be called.But my requirement is that i need to do the same through my pgm.

Downloading excel in 2010 instead of 2003 through webdynpro java application

Hi Experts,
We have developed a webdynpro java application where we are downloading an excel file through linktourl UI element. we are not using any external jars to create that excel and we used simple java.io API. When we run the application and trying to download the excel, by default it is asking us to save in 2003 instead of 2010. I came to know that it depends on the version of MS office available / installed in SAP portal server. Can somebody provide SAP official links to support this?

Thanks for your reply. We know by using Apache POI external jars we can achieve the functionality. But we don't want to do major changes to the existing application to just download the excel in 2010 format instead of 2003.
Is there any other way to do without using the external jars. I mean simple coding / configuration or any work around.

How do I get Active X control for flash player registered?

I have been having problems with flashplayer. I continue to get different messages when I try to download. The latest message is: Active X control for flash player could not be registered. What do I do to get the system working?

Looks to be a permission issue. Do you have administrator priveleges on the machine?

i download the Oracle jdbc driver packages and put them in the same folder with JSP files. but i did not set the class path tho.
do i have to set the enviroment variables for the classpath of Oracledatasource class? thanks a lot.
another problem i got is installing the JDeveloper, it seemed my computer just got stuck there when installing JDeveloper. my laptop is with 256MB memory tho.

I have read a post regarding, the embeding of active x controls in oracle forms. Can anybody explain it in detail, tat how it can be done on Oracle forms 11g. My database is also 11g. Installing Active X Controls on E90 Browser

I am facing issues with the installation of active X control on my E90 browser. Due to this I am unable to access a few of remote outlook browsing sites.

If nobody has answered by now...maybe you managed alone. Anyway here are some notes that might be useful:
The first thing to do is write your Java class with the native definitions. Now 'Build Project'.
Of course you shouldn't forget to have a line with
System.loadLibrary("your library name");Next you need to make the .h file. I think it's best to do this manually. In Netbeans you can add a line to the ant build script like:

       <javah destdir="c" class="--your class full name--" classpath="${dist.jar}" />
    </target>but I don't know how to do this in Eclipse. Instead you will have to run javah manually like:
javah -classpath build -verbose -d "c"   "--your class full name--"Do this from the main project directory.
Now create a separate C/C++ project with the name you used in the loadLibrary above, and make C files to implement the functionality you need (copy the function headers from the .h file). You should include the .h file and tell Eclipse where to find it. In Eclipse 3.4 there are workspace relative paths - and you can use those to add the include file.
The C project should be of type 'shared library'. On Windows it will produce a DLL.
Once you have your C project compiling, go back to the Java project, and edit the project class path. Under the 'source' tab expand your project source, and you will see a line for 'Native library location'. Select that, click the 'edit' button and add the path of the DLL (just the directory).
Now run or debug the Java program, and when you load the library, watch to make sure there is no exception.
How to debug: There are ways of debugging both the Java and C at the same time, but it's probably easiest just to put logging statements in the C (printf's) to see what's going on there.

Oracle Reporting Active X control object

Whether somebody can adduce an example of use of the Oracle Reporting Active X control object in a form (Forms 6)? I tried to insert this object into the form - but nothing turns out.

ActiveX is only supported by C/S previous versions of Forms (until version 6). It won't work with Web versions. You have to search/find a Java Bean equivalent.

Problems doing an active Database duplication through RMAN

If I connect directly, I'm able to connect ("connect auxiliary / " after setting ORACLE_SID)

RMAN-06217: not connected to auxiliary database with a net service name (I don't know why Oracle is so specific in connecting through net service name only!!!)
So, how could I move forward?? any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I used an old sim card to try to activate my iphone 3gs, it didnt work, and it gave me this response:
We're sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We reccomend you visit your nearest apple Store for more information.

Mac OS X solution similar to a Win32 Flash Active X Control

Hello, I've found code for Win32 that enables my to playback
flash content in my application via an Active X control (actually
not to hard to setup). I'm currently looking for a similar solution
for Mac OS X. Has anyone done something like this?

I think I understand what you want to do, and one used to be able to do the same sort of thing on a Mac, but not any more. Some of the temp files are now .cache files and some are QuickTime cache files, with the extension .qtch, and I have never been able to figure out how to do anything with either of the types. I find it pretty annoying knowing that the file is already on my drive, but in order to save it I have to re-download the thing rather than grabbing the cache file.

I am seeking help. A download is not going through IOS on my iPaD.

No it is not the same. Erasing the device is Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. But bear in mid that this will totally erase your iPad and you will have to activate the device and start all over again. It is the same as setting up a new iPad out of the box. But it should allow for a clean install of the iOS and if you backup using iCloud you can restore from the iCloud backup (you will be prompted to do so during activation) and all of your content will download again from iCloud.
The caveat to this is that if you having some issue with downloading to the iPad, this could present another problem.

Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device.
