Verizon account automatically changed to AT&T

My Verizon account was automatically changed to AT&T. I've given AT&T a shot, but their service is not comparable to Verizon. AT&T has too many areas where i have "no service". I need to port my phone # back to Verizon, but i am being told that my phone # is not portable back to verizon. From what i have been reading, the FCC set up the Local Number Portability to enable customers to transfer their phone #'s from one carrier to another. But Verizon is refusing to port my # back because they do not offer service for my area. This is a Lie! Verizon does offer service for my area. My neighbors still have verizon.  I have asked Verizon if i change my address to my parents address (who still have Verizon phones), could i transfer back to Verizon, and i have been told no. I have gotten the FCC involved, but the process is moving slowly. If i do not cancel my AT&T phone by May 5, i will be in contract and would then have to pay the early termination fee. Does any one have a solution other than changing phone #'s? I can't change phone #'s becuse it is my business phone. Please help!

That is what i have been hearing, pretty much i'm stuck. It's just irritating that the customer's are the people getting the bad end of this deal. I would have never chosen to switch to At&t, but now i am forced to be with a company that doesn't support my area. We don't even have an At&t in my city. I have thousands of dollars invested in advertising for my business and right now i have two options, switch phone #'s and spend more money or keep the phone # and miss out on business because my phone doesn't ring half of the time or i drop calls. I've filed a complaint with the FCC, but its in a stand still right now. Everyday i'm stuck with At&t as a provider is another day i could be losing business.
I've looked at other carriers, but I am from a rural area and Verizon & Alltel are by far the best providers in the area when it comes to having reception.

  • Reply ("From") email account automatically changes to 2nd email account

I have 2 email accounts setup on my iPhone. Each has their own individual incoming and outgoing servers setup.
If someone emails me on account "A" and I reply to them, my account "B" shows is the one they receive the email from.
There is no way these accoutns are connected and I am sure that my "From" is setup to account "A".
    Why is this happening???
p.s. On a side note...account "A" is my web hosting account. Account "B" is Gmail.
Ever since I downloaded 4.2.1, I keep getting a popup message saying "Cannot verify server identity"
p.p.s. When I open up account "A" and send a new mail, account "A" shows up as "from" to those people...it only happens when I reply to an email.

  • FIOS Digital Voice - Changes to Verizon Account Numbers?

I have had FIOS for about 5 years with the 'Verizon Freedom Essentials' voice plan.  My contract has lapsed and I can create a new bundle which (apparently) maintains my FIOS TV Extreme HD plan, actually upgrades my FIOS 10/2 to 15/5, and (apparently) replaces my 'Verizon Freedom Essentials' with FIOS Digital Voice.
When I added this bundle to the Cart, I got a message thanking me for choosing FIOS - eventhough I already have it, and then a warning message that selecting FIOS Digital Voice would change my account number and I would have deal with any affected financial institutions.
Is this warning message correct?  If memory serves, the ccount number did change when I first went to FIOS, is it going to change _again_ if I select the bundle which, by definition, includes FIOS Digital Voice?  TIA.
    Mark

Yes, it is correct and I've not been able to get a straight answer from Verizon about why the account number changes--I recently signed up for triple play of broadband, phone and tv from my double play of broadband and phone (Freedom Essentials). My account number did not change when I switched to FiOS (broadband/phone) in 2009.
I received an email from Verizon's FiOS Customer Experience Team for the Mid-Atlantic Region welcoming me to FiOS (although, as noted, I've been a FiOS customer since 2009). I replied to that email asking why my account number changed, what my new payment date would be (that also changes fro some bizarro reason) and also that I wanted to go back to Freedom Essentials since Digital Voice is NOT state regulated (no protection then if there are problems, no regulations as to price increases, etc.). While I received a reply, my questions have never been answered and my "customer experience" has been extremely poor with respect to any help/response from Verizon's Mid-Atlantic region team. I have not yet received my first bill for the new account.

  • Cannot set up verizon account

I have 3 email accounts on Thunderbird, Verizon, Yahoo and Gmail. I was having trouble with the Verizon account so I deleted it thinking I would set it up again in case any parameters had changed. Now I can't set it up. Thunderbird asks if the user name and password are correct. I can access my email on Verizon's web site and on my tablet so the user name and password are correct. The problem seems to be with thunderbird. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay in replying Matt. You were correct, the server settings are different from the ones Thunderbird automatically uses. For anyone with the same problem the incoming settings are : 'incoming.yahoo.verizon.net', port 995, ssl/tsl.
    The outgoing settings are : 'outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net', port 465, ssl/tsl.
    Thanks again.

  • No longer receiving emails to my verizon account

    Hello.
This morning I noticed I haven't received any messages to my pop3 client since 2pm yesterday, 11/28.
I haven't changed anything with my client, I've checked my spam filter via webmail and the msgs haven't been blocked.
I use Yahoo and Gmail in the same client and have received msgs from both since then.
I have sent test emails from the yahoo and gmail accounts to my verizon account but none have shown up.
I also sent test messages from my verizon account to my yahoo and gmail accounts and I HAVE received them.
But I still haven't received any messages to my verizion account.
I checked my verizon account via webmail and I have not received the messages there either.
To clarify, I haven't changed any settings in my email client and prior to 2pm 11/28/2012, everything has been working fine.
What is up with verizon servers?
    Any help is appreciated.

  • My daughter and I share our Verizon account and when she activated her phone, we started receiving all of each other's text messages. How do I stop this from happening?! It is creepy and we don't like it at all.

My daughter and I share the same Verizon account. When she activated her I Phone (which I also have an I Phone 5c) - we started receiving all of each other's text messages. I need your help as soon as possible to stop this. WE DO NOT WANT TO READ EACH OTHER'S TEXTS! Please HELP!

If that is the problem, how do I change it so she has her own Apple account if she already activated her device? Is there  a way to remove my account and make her a new one on the device itself if it was activated incorrectly:??

  • Transfer phone to another verizon account

I'm the main line on family share account.  My phone is basic and is on month to month right now.  The other 2 phones on the account are my sons.  One is an iPhone and contract ends Dec. 2013.  The other is a basic phone and contract ends Feb 2014.  Can I switch my sons 2 lines to my parents verizon account?  That would leave just my phone on the account.  My question is since it was a family share plan and it's the only phone on the account now will it go to a single plan and change my contract?  I really want to cancel my contract since it is up.  It would be cheaper to have my sons phones on my parents plan.  Hope this makes sense.  Basically I want to leave Verizon but still have the 2 phones in contract.

        Hi tday1542,
You do have the ability to transfer lines from one account to another and allow the lines to stay with their contract at no penalty. View the details on http://bit.ly/JG6iOD. Your line will move to a single line plan but it doesn't require a contract renewal to change. Your line can remain alone without contract. Let us know if you have more questions.

  • My email password and my verizon account password are the same? Are you SERIOUS?

The other day I did something I never do, actually log into my verizon account.  I hate the verizon interface, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than use it, but every now and then I have to use it to handle a bill.  So, of course the password that I remembered setting on it didn't work.  So I jumped through the hoops to reset the password, conducted my business, and left the site, hopefully not to return for a year at least.
Lo and behold, the next time I tried to access my email (which I use Thunderbird for, and don't tell me it's not a supported client, it works fine, and no I'm not going to use Verizon's webmail interface), it won't accept my email password.  Now, this password HAD always been distinct from my verizon account password.  But...telling myself, "Oh no they didn't," I tried using the new password that I'd set for my online account.  Surprise!  It let me into my email!
Now, this morning, neither the new password nor my old email password are being accepted.
So, I have two questions, apart from the existential "why does Verizon feel the need to torture its customers like this":
1)Are they SERIOUSLY requiring you to have the SAME password for your email AND your My Verizon Account?
2)If, as I hope and pray, the answer to 1 is "hellz no", how can I change just my EMAIL password?
Anticipating a reply of, "No, it's just one password, because we've decided that's MORE secure, and your whole problem is that you're using Thunderbird, because ummmm somehow Thunderbird renders passwords into ancient Greek before it submits them and so it won't work, but of course some dull-normal client like Outlook WILL work, and don't ask me the details because I'm really not very technical, but apparently I'm technical enough to tell you that your client is no good"...

Yes, the passwords are the same now. Verizon made a big push a while back to give customers a single login. They merged everyone's accounts, not because it is more secure, but because they think customers will find it easier. No, there is no way to change just your email password.
And no, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using Thunderbird. Many of us have it configured for verizon.net addresses, and it works just fine.
Wish I had a better answer for you...

  • How do I cancel, modify, or update my checking account payment on the day (today) it was made to my Verizon account?

This morning, after viewing my bank account status that indicated a little over 218 in my account, I made a payment on my Verizon account of 148.82. At the end of this initial payment to my Verizon account, I was told “You may cancel a checking account payment on the day it posts to your account. The amount will be reversed from your account balance.”
I revisited my bank account a little later, to see if this payment had been posted. It had not, but the current status had then changed due to an auto-payment on another account that I had forgotten about, leaving my account with a balance of only 116. I need to change or reverse my payment to Verizon and submit it for 110 until Tuesday of next week (03 June 2014).
I've called Verizon billing department, but have been unable to reach a representative due to the high volume of calls, and the call was disconnected. If I am unable to rectify this today, my payment to Verizon will cause charges to my bank account of $40.00 and a late fee to my Verizon account.
The on-line website does not have a provision for it that I can locate. How can I do this???
Thanks for the automated contact service that is not well thought out from the user perspective, for efficient customer or public use.  I find this to be most typically within most companies that provide an automated service for their clients.

    Can I view and/or cancel a pending payment?Yes, to view and/or cancel a scheduled one-time payment:
Go to the Pay Bill page in My Verizon.
Click Scheduled Payment to view the pending payment on your account.
If you’d like to cancel the payment, follow the onscreen prompts to cancel it.
    You’ve successfully canceled your payment.
What if I need to stop a payment that has already been made?If you want to cancel a payment that has already been made, please contact your bank or credit card company to see if the payment or charge to your account can be stopped.
Note: If you made an online payment through your checking account, you may be able to cancel that payment online from the Payment History page in My Verizon.
Click on the Cancel link next to the payment, if one is available, and follow the onscreen prompts to cancel the payment.
If the link isn’t available, the payment isn’t eligible to be canceled online. The option to cancel is typically only available until midnight on the same day the payment was made.

  • VERIZON WIRELESS PLAN CHANGES, CONTRACTS, UPGRADES - Lack of Customer Service!

I have been 1 of your customers since August of 2006.
I even own a 2nd phone line that I have been using since approximately 2002
Most recently I had inquired with Verizon Customer service about upgrading my cell phone from a BlackBerry to a Droid Maxx (for one of my accounts)
My first inquiry was with a Verizon Rep on the Verizon Online Chat on February 16, 2014.  I told her that I wanted to upgrade my cell phone from a BlackBerry to a Droid Maxx, and I inquired about my Unlimited Data Plan. She said I would “not” lose my Unlimited Data Plan even if I upgraded to a Droid Maxx.  I also asked about a Hot Spot, and she said that would be “included in my Unlimited Data Plan” at no extra charge.
I called Verizon 611 later that same evening and talked live with a Verizon Rep, again asking and confirming the answers to the same questions.  I also asked about “throttling” if I went beyond a certain usage on my data plan, if I upgraded to a new cell phone.  He told me that I would not be limited to certain speeds and bandwidth, no matter how much I used my cell phone since Verizon does not throttle their customers’ data speeds (since Verizon had received so many complaints in the past for throttling,  so they do not do that anymore).  He also said there would “not be an issue with upgrading to a new cell phone and keeping my current data plan.
A few days later, as I looked further into upgrading my device, and trying to make a final decision, I again called Verizon 611 – Customer Service.  But this time the Verizon Rep that I talked to contradicted the other two Verizon Reps info because he told me that I would “lose my unlimited data plan” if I switched to a new cell phone.  He also said if I made any changes to my plan, I would lose my Unlimited Data.  He said there would also be an additional charge for a Hot Spot.  I asked about bringing on a 2nd person to my plan, and keeping Unlimited Data on one of the phones, while having a 2nd data plan package for the other phone for the additional person. He told me the Unlimited Data Plan would only apply to the Original phone on this account and the original phone number.  But if I added a 2nd person/phone to my account they would “not” have Unlimited Data since the new (2nd phone) was not grand-fathered in to this current plan that I had with Verizon.
Finally I decided to go in person to visit a Verizon Store.  When I went into the Verizon Store at Jantzen Beach, North Portland, Oregon, the Rep I talked to said she had been with Verizon for almost 8 years. She said all of the info that the other “3” Verizon Reps had given me was “not” accurate.  At this time, I learned that “ANY/ALL changes to my plans would immediately make me lose my Unlimited Data Plan.  And the ONLY way I could keep this plan, would be to buy my own cell phone (at full Retail cost) and have it added to my account.  And that if I tried to add a Hot Spot, it would cost additional money outside of my data plan.  Also if I tried to add a 2nd person/cell phone to my existing account that I would immediately lose the Unlimited Data Plan.  I was not allowed to change my cell phone#, add any additional user or cell phone, or upgrade my device without losing my Unlimited Data.  She also said maybe I was told something different by the 611 Customer Service Reps because they have authority to make changes or exceptions to plans, and that normal Verizon Store employees do not have authority to make the same changes.
My complaint and question to Verizon is…..WHY do all “4” Verizon Reps have different explanations, advice, rules, etc…when it comes to something as simple as upgrading to a new device and wanting to keep my current plan?  To me, the rules and explanations should not vary day to day, and depending upon who I talk to?
I was originally an AT&T Customer prior to 2006 and I switched to Verizon.  This is my first real experience with HORRIBLE customer service and deception from Verizon!
IF I had made any changes when I initially or immediately after I inquired via the Online Chat, I would have LOST my current data plan!  And then to tell me that I need to go out & buy my OWN phone at FULL Retail price If I want to keep a plan that I’ve had for years now!!!
How much money have I already paid to Verizon in Monthly usage charges since 2006 (for almost 8 years now)??? And you want to reward me for this loyalty and being a Long time customer by cheating me out of my current plan, or trying to deceive me with false promises that I won’t lose the plan?  And then when I finally do want to upgrade, you will take that plan from me? And even after being a customer for 8 years with one account and almost 12 years with my 2nd Verizon account (that I listed at the beginning of this letter), you won’t even offer to give me a free device or a discounted device for renewing my plan?  NOW I need to buy my own phone if I want to continue on with my current data plan?
None of this makes sense, and I have now been told “4” different versions of rules, exceptions and Plan change policies by 4 different Verizon Reps!  They ALL work for the same company --- Verizon Wireless --- so they should ALL have the same answers and rules, right?  I really feel nobody is being honest & upfront with me about this, and I am seriously considering moving back to AT&T Wireless.  As at this point, Verizon wants to do nothing to reward me for being a long-time customer.  I’m beginning to feel that the goal here is to deceive me and cheat me out of my Unlimited Data plan.
What can you do to make this right?  I know you must have record of the Online Chat and also you record 611 Customer Service calls too? How can you explain why all “4” of your Reps have different rules and explanations for Verizon phone plans?
If I do not receive an acceptable response to this letter, you can count on me moving back to AT &T Wireless.  I will also tell all of my Friends & Family that are currently with Verizon about this negative experience.  In the past I have encouraged others to move to Verizon Wireless, but now I no longer feel that is good advice for anyone.
My boyfriend who “almost considered” switching his service to Verizon, is now seriously considering the integrity of Verizon.  He works in Information Technology with large corporations and will also pass this story on to his business associates.
I look forward to your response and explanation.  I feel that after my long term loyalty as a Verizon Customer, I deserve much better treatment and honest answers from Verizon.

    cheralin333 wrote:
I find this all very interesting that the 3 responses I got to this post are ALL defending Verizon jacking around a long time customer.  I would almost venture to guess that Verizon hires people (probably in India & Pakistan) to read their forums and defend whatever they do to their customers.  How do I become the bad person for wanting good customer service? How are they in the right for trying to be deceitful.  None of their Reps had the "same story or info."   NOW I have 3 responses from "supposed PEERS" or other customers in the Verizon Community.  But instead of rallying with me as a customer all 3 are posting comments like they "work for Verizon."   And even Ann's response contained info that I already had in my original post.  And this last post from pherson knocks me for not being loyal?? I have been loyal for over a decade but why would I kiss up to anyone that is trying to make me take it in the shorts???  I'm convinced you are all making minimum wage from Verizon to read their forums and defend their ridiculous practices.  Go find a real job.
No one is "defending" Verizon. We are telling you that
    A) No one from Verizon corporate will see you post
    B) Even if they did they are not going to change policy because 1 customer or a few or 1000 or 10,000 threaten to leave.
So there is no point to your rant. It was waste of time. The people you intended it for aren't going to see or care. Also the FCC, FTC, BBB, etc etc are also a waste of time. The only thing you can do that you have power over is to speak with your wallet and go elsewhere. That would be FAR more productive than what you've done here. I still don't get how people think that because they made a post on a messageboard they can change things. Like people haven't been complaining about this for literally the last 620 days. How's that worked out so far?
Oh and I SHOULD report your post that is full of insults. Next one I WILL. How is that for a threat?

  • Automatic change in MIRO Screen from Invoice/ Credit Memo/Sub-Credit/Sub-D

    Hi All,
While we post the invoice through MIRO T-code, if we change the Transaction type from Invoice to Credit memo/Sub-Creditmemo/Sub-Debitmemo after completion of particular document SAP is not automatically changing the Transaction type as Invoice, its still remains same Transaction type which we changed last.
Can anyone advice is there a fix for this to get back to Invoice after doing anydiffernet transaction type..
    Regards
    Balaji

    1) You have to enter the subsequent credit
    2) The account postings for a subsequent debit/credit depend on the quantity that the subsequent debit/credit applies to:
If the quantity of the subsequent debit/credit is smaller than or the same as the quantity delivered, the system tries to post the subsequent debit/credit to the stock account. If the material is valuated with a standard price or if there is insufficient stock coverage for the quantity to be debited or credited, the amount is posted to a price difference account.
If the quantity of the subsequent debit/credit is larger than the quantity delivered, the system distributes the relevant amount proportionally. The part of the subsequent debit/credit that does not have a goods receipt is posted to the GR/IR clearing account. The remaining amount is posted to the stock account u2013 or in the case of standard price control or insufficient stock coverage u2013 to a price difference account.

  • Will changing iCloud ID automatically change in my phone?

I changed my iTurnes/iCloud ID, but when I look in my settings on my phone, it's still showing my old ID, and it's grayed out and won't allow me to change it there.  Will it change on it's own eventually?  If not, how do I reset this?
    Thank you.

It won't automatically changed.  To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Possible to transfer $$ in Verizon Account to my Bank account?

So, about a week ago I returned my Droid x, and the verizon worker refunded me back the money on my Verizon Account instead of adding it back to my debit card..so, it automatically paid my bill due on the 29th when he did this, and I had $170 still left over in my account. Well, when I tried to pre-order the iPhone 4 tonight, it said "account is past due" which really confused me, since it reads "paid in full" next to the bill date. I panicd and put $140 from my debit card on to the bill, and was then able to order the iPhone 4. Now, I have $310 in my Verizon Account..and I'd rather have that back in my pocket, is there anyway I could get this $$ transferred back to my debit/bank account? I'm going to call customer service tomorrow, but wondering if anyone here knows anytjhing.

Or maybe I could call and have them refund the $140 I just put in? Have a feeling it's going to be a hassel though!

  • Accidentally made verizon account, is there a way to reverse it?

Hello, I'm kind of a SMART kid and I made a verizon account with my phone and since i had a data plan and everything i was wondering if i could like cancel it some how or restore it to whatever account it was on first and Im scared to tell my parents because I just KNOW they will flip. I admit it was a stupid idea and I just wanted to see what would happen. So if someone could please help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
        - Genius

If you are on a family share plan, and created a username and login (MyVerizon account) for your number, then you should be able to see information for your line only, and will have limited rights to actually do anything, unless the account owner has given your line access for purchases and such.  If you somehow managed to get access as an account manager, or the owner, then I would "own up" and give your parents the password you set so they have control of the account.
If you do nothing with the account you created, the only way your parents would find out is if you told them (which I would do), or if they tried to create an account for you and were unable to because it already exists.
No harm done in creating the account - using it to make unauthorized purchases or account changes might get you into trouble.
