Versioning for db objects

Question

Hi Experts,
Please let me tortoise SVN,Subversion,SVN all of these are are same or is their  any difference all of them.
If their is any difference then please let me know and which one is better  .
My requirement is only version control  of my db object(table ,proc..) with opensource tool. My DB is in SQL 2008 R2.

Environment Preparation
To start using Team Foundation Server as source control in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) you have to install Team Explorer and Team Foundation Server MSSCCI providers. You have to find out the version
of SSMS is 32-bit or 64-bit. You can check easily by opening SSMS and opening task manager. The *32 at the end of the ssms.exe entry shows it is 32-bit. Now you have to Install Team Foundation Server MSSCCI providers of 32-bit version.
Part 2 :  
Initial Source Code upload 
to TFS
Step 1:
Open SQL Server Management Studio -> File -> New -> Project
Step 2 : Select SQL Server Scripts and write the solution name, browse the location . Click on Open Button. Check the Add source control check box.
Step 3 : Login to Team Foundation server
Step 4 :
Now check in the solution to source controls by click on Check In Button.
Step 5:
Now you have to add database objects (tables, Views, Stored procedure etc.) as individual script to SQL Server solution in Script folder. To do that , Go to Add new items .
Step 6:
After that check the solution and write your comments .Click on the Check In Button.
System will display below progress status. In this way first time you have to update all object under the source control .

When you need to work in any script files then do check out and after completion check in the specific files.
