Which version of an object is included in a transport request

Hi experts,
I have one doubt regarding the transport requests and the object versions included in it.
We've found in one development that there are differences between the development system and the productive system and all the transport requests, which include this object, have been transported to production.
The transport requests were transported in the following sequence:
Order number    Date            Time
1. D01K904477  29.03.2007 17:41:52
2. D01K904511  30.03.2007 17:21:54
3. D01K904425  30.03.2007 17:51:36
The last order transported contains a previous version of the object.
From my own experience in other projects I'm not sure whether the transport system it's well configured or not.  I have the idea that the transport requests always include the last version of the object transported.  Probably, it depends on the transport routes... But I'm not sure.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your answer Juan.
This is clear. But my doubt is not solved yet.
I'm referring to the versions included in an older transport request.
In our system If we transport a previous transport request to production, the latest version of the object is overwritten.
E.g.:
TR  1    Date: 01/01/2007  (DD/MM/YYYY)  First version of the program
TR  2    Date: 01/03/2007  (DD/MM/YYYY)  Second version of the program
1. We transport TR 1 to production.
2. We transport TR 2 to production.  We have the last version of the program in production.
3. If we create transport request TR 3 and we include the object in this TR, this TR will include the active version of the object.
4. If we transport TR 1  to production, latest version is overwritten.  <b><<<< This happens in our system.</b>
We don't know if this is happenning due to the transport routes configuration.
Thanks in advance.

  • Objects not included in a transport !!

    HI,
I create 10 objects. Include all of them in say 5 different requests. I delete 5 objects from these requests (just from the request).
How can I find out the list of objects in the system which do not have an associated transport request !! This wil help me to analyze whether they r really not needed and can be deletd physically alltogether or they are deleted by mistake from the transport !!
    thks

    Hello
To be honest your requirements are somewhat weird. Why?
Example1: You create a new object from scratch resulting in an entry in the transport request. You realize that this object is obsolete and you delete it again. The entry in the transport request still remains.
Example2: You change an existing object resulting in an entry in the transport request (the object is fully functional in the productive environment). You realize that the change was wrong. You undo the changes and delete the entry from the transport request.
    Conclusions:
    1) Entry in transport request exists but not the corresponding object -> deleted by mistake??? NO.
    2) No entry in transport request but object exists -> obsolete object ??? NO.
If you want to find out which objects are currently locked in transport requests then you should have a look at DB table TLOCK.
As long as an existing object is part of a changeable transport request you should find a lock entry there.

  • How to find out in which role an authority object is included

    Hi,
I need to call web services by an external application. Therefore the authorization object S_SERVICE is needed to call services.
Now I want to add this object to a specific sap user, but how can I find out in which role this object is included? I don't want to create a new role for just only this standard SAP authority object.
    Thank you!

Now that you have required role with you .. simple assign that role to user id from transaction SU01 (Roles tabs).
Sap standard roles will already have profile in it. You might have to generate the profile. Goto transaction PFCG enter role name hit display button , goto Authorisation tab, hit Display Authorisation button and on next screen press generate button (Shift+f5).
By the way you can use SUIM to find role and profile for given authority object

  • How to include an INCLUDE into a Transport Request

    Hi Experts
Requirement is to add an INCLUDE program object (which is not part of any other request) into a Transport Request. I followed the below steps:
    SE01 -> Entered TR# -> Display -> Request/Task -> Object List -> Include Objects.
In the selection screen of "freely selected objects",
selected objects -> Program = LZ123T00 (which I need to include).
    Then, Execute!
It shows: No objects were selected!
    How to fix this error?
    Regds

    Hi Varun
thx for ur reply. I tried this. it seems the INCLUDE alone cannot be written into the TR.
it says: "Cannot be added. The object is part of some system object"
If we add the whole Function Group to the TR, will it help? Will the TR hold all the associated INCLUDEs declared in this Function Group?
    plz advise.

  • Undo changes included in a transport request

    Hello,
I made the changes in DEV system and included those changes in a transport request. I didn't released this transport. Then I realized that those changes must be reverted. What should I do now? How can I undo those changes? Thanks

Revert back your changes you had done if required.
Then SE09 --> Display your request No.
Expand your main Request Folder --> Below your main Request No you can see Child Request No. Double click on Child Request No. Click on Change Mode or press Ctrl+F1 . Then under Object Tab you can see objects.
Select Those objects and click on Delete Row which is be a second button having RED marked minus symbol.  It will give message like object is locked press ok. Automaticaly object will be removed from request. Do same procedure for all oject one by one.

  • Object not added to the Transport Request

    Hi,
We have a z-tcode thats a replica of SPAD for creating printers.
Once the printer is created, a prompt asks for creating a new Transport request(TR in short) and once the TR gets created, the printer finally gets attached to this TR.
This tcode works fine in 4.6 version. But not in ECC6.0 version.
In ECC6.0, the TR gets created and the printer too is created but its not attached to the TR.
I checked the codes in both the versions but could not find any difference between them.
One thing I noticed that the statement CALL transaction... within one of the sub routines(that adds the printer to the TR) has a parameter for message and it doesnot get populated with any entries,
while it does in 4.6 version.
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Binay.

    Hi,
In debug mode try passing the same message & check whether it works.
if yes, then you may hardcode the same.
    Best regards,

  • Including InfoPackages in Transport Requests

I want to include an InfoPackage in a transport request so that I can transport it from development to test. However, when I open the InfoPackage and try to include it I receive an error message informing me that Deltas have already been loaded. This is correct, but why would it stop me including the InfoPackage in a transport request?
Does anybody know what I can do about this?

    Hi Stuart,
I guess you are trying to transport the "init" load infipackage. If so then change the load option to "full load" and then transport. You can later change the option in QA.

  • Which version of SQL Dev is included with JDev 11g?

Is there a method to tell which specific version and/or build of SQL Developer is built into JDev 11g? I've searched through the Help->About options and it mentions under the Extensions tab v11.1.1.0.30.50.26 for the SQL Developer Extensions entry, which is really a JDev version #, not a SQL Dev version #. I remember Duncan mentioning SQL Dev was specifically v1.2 or v1.4, but this doesn't seem to be reflected in the JDev about box.
    Cheers,

Yes, silly of me, in deed. I didn't pay attention to author. I find this blog interesting for me to keep it on my regular list (that is why I read posts but I don't keep insight to author).
Anyhow, I think that reference to his blog post is useful for other readers of this thread. While Chris missed to link to his own blog, I did it for him :)

  • User exit/BAdI whenever an object is saved to a transport request

    Hi all,
We have a requirement to compare the object's version every time an object is attached to a TR. I found the BADI CTS_REQUEST_CHECK~CHECK_BEFORE_CREATION. But, this has the TR attributes only. Also, this is triggered only when the transport is created, not when the repository objects are attached to an existing TR.
Can you please help us with a BADI/user exit to gain control before an object is attached to new/existing TR?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Hema.

    Hi Hema,
Have you checked the BADI given in below thread
    CTS Badi or User Exit

  • Calling inactive version of ABAP object from Java

    Hello,
When I call an ABAP object from Java Program which version of ABAP object is called inactive or active ?
Is there a mechanism to call the current inactive version or any other previous inactive /active versions ?
    Regards,
    Tarun

Only the "active" version of ABAP code is active and runnable.
You cannot run inactive versions. Like you have to compile a .java file to a .class file o make it runnable in the JVM.

  • Deleting objects in transport request

    Hello,
I made the changes in InfoCube in developer system and included those changes in a transport request. I didn't release this transport. Then I realized that those changes must be reverted.
I know what I have to do. First of all I need to change manually InfoCube and then remove objects from transport request.
I have doubt about deleting objects. In transport request there is a lot of object which Iu2019ve never changed such as InfoObjects and InfoArea.
Can I safely remove these objects? Why these objects are attached to my transport request?
I checked them and last change was made by another user.
    Thank you for your time.

    Hi,
I don't think there is any version comparison available with target system like R/3 reports. You will manually have to compare the properties.
If you have lot of objects and do not want to loose any changes then you can even think of reverse transport from production system to development system for selected objects.
Now about locking the remaining objects you can open the TR through SE09 in change mode and then select the required items and from the tool bar you can directly lock all the items in single go.

  • Saving objects in Transport request

    Hi all,
i want to save a Package and all its contents to a single transport request which already transported.I didn't do any change, but i need to save this in a new transport request in a simple way.suggest me a simple way to do it.
    Thanks in advance,...

    Hi
The best way is to again save all the objects of ur package to the same transport request is to open individually each object in the change mode and try and make some changes(just give some space or try and right something which would change the status of ur object ot inactive mode...we do this to save this yet again in the transport request)when u save it again it will prompt u a window in which it asks you the transport request to be created(if you have already created a request then if that or else create a new one)....like wise u save all the objects of ur package in the same transport request......each time it shud ask you the transport request id.........
Now once it is done go to SE09 and open the task of your request ID here u'll find the objects....see to it that u have all ur object included in ur transport request ID............Hope i've answered ur question...

  • How to find out if an object is already saved in a transport request

    Hi all,
Does anyone know a function module or a class using which I can find out if a development object(class. interface etc.)  is already processed and saved in an open transport request in my system?
    Thanks in advance
    Sükrü

    Hi Sükrü
You can read the table E071 with the object id and get the transport request number. Use this transport request and read the table E070, the field "TRSTATUS" will give the status whether the object is locked or released.
    Hope this helps !

  • Dependant objects in a transport request

    Hi Guys
I have a transport request with 100 custom programs in it. I have to move the transport request to
another system. Is there a way to know all the dependant objects for these custom programs?
If the transport fails due to dependancies the client is not willing to create another transport request.
Please let me know if there is a solution for this?
    Thanks
    Britto
Edited by: Britto Manohar on Jul 16, 2009 5:31 PM

    Hi  Britto,
all the Dependent Object for the Custom Program or Report..
will be stored in Table D010tab or FM "GET_TABLES"
..Pass report name it will show all the tables View used..
but the unclude of the dependent Objects in the sutom Program transport request is the issue ..
for Custom Tbales you can create transport reuest at run time ..for standadrd Tables creating transport request and include
in the cutom program transport request will create error.
