Versioning of Tables and other Schama objects

Hi!
I want to enable versioning for database schema objects such as Tables, views, and procedures. Table definitions should be updated/changed by means of check-in and check-out. It will be helpful during development.
I have already instralled/configured Oracle Repository using SCM.
I have also followed the procedure given in SCM Help --> Registering Oracle Schema in Repository.

Hi,
You need to enable Versioning support for this. It can be done from RAU's Options menu (Choose "Enable Version Support"). After this you can use Design Editor to create/update tables using checkin/checkin process.
Be aware that enabling versioning support is an irreversible process. Perform this only of you absolutely need versioning support.

There are some symbol file errors in the analyzed result, please upload the dump file to a public location such as OneDrive, then paste the dowload link here.
Meanwhile, what about other webpages? please test whether this issue happens in other IE 11 or similiar systems, check whether this is a common issue or a specific issue.
Keep latest Windows Updates especially for IE updates.
Test IE in no add-ons mode, if issue disappears, then it could be cauesd by an incompatible add-on

Adobe has been trying this and the product is called Muse ( Web design software | Download free Adobe Muse CC trial ). It doesn't give you the control over the code that most developers prefer but it could help bridge the gap for design if that is what you are looking for.

that little "&" sends the conky process to the background freeing up the current process (your autostart.sh script) to finish doing what it's doing so you can move on to running openbox itself. with this in mind, it should be obvious why keeping conky in the foreground would cause problems.
also, replacing it with (sleep 1 && conky) & means... wait a second, when that's done successfully (&&) run conky, and put all of that () to the background. that way openbox comes up immediatly and only a second later you've got your panel and monitor.
all this after .xinitrc and before openbox

I have visited some help on Managing iViews and other PCD Objects at

But I want to know when are these things actually put to use. For example, I would simply create an iview and add it to a page. Can you give me a real scenario where this is required. Especially if any of you have used this on your projects.
How do I start if I wish to pick up this feature? Any blogs on good exapmles which I can use deploy and learn?

Hi SAP Gurus,
on our SAP NetWeaver 7.x BW (based on AIX/Oracle) I find via transaction DB02 (path = Diagnostics => Missing Tables and Indexes) under "Unknown objects in ABAP Dictionary" under DB views a BW object /BI0/.....
When I make a double click on the object, I am getting the popup window "Display not possible for this object":
How can I identify the object and clarify with the BW application expert, if needed, how to resolve this object?
I searched already via RSA1 for the object, but I wasn't able to find anything so far ...

The database view in question is a temporary database object created during a query execution.
Please read this SAP note 449891 - Temporary database objects in BW 3.x to understand what that view is all about and impact if those views are removed.
The SAP notes 449891 and 1139396 suggests to run the report SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES to drop these temporary objects. Whether the objects are still required or not is a question to be put across to the BW team. If the temporary objects are removed when they are used by a query, then the query will fail.

How to identify the required version of SAPINST and other SAP software?

I have a dell poweredge machine with quad processor .
On this we installed win 2k3 std x86
when I go to my computer and properties, it shows me intel processor, and win 2k3 x86_64
Then I download the IA64 verison and X86 versions of PI71 and related Oracle software.
I tried installing Oracle 10g IA64 and it showed me an error message
Then i installed I386 Oracle 10g and it installed successfully.
While installing Pi71 software, it started promptint me that Oracle software is not found.
So after a couple of hours of struggle and research< i installed AMD64 Oracle 10G and this got recognized by the PI71 software.
My questionw rt the abvoe is - when my computer says it has x86_64 version of OS on an intel xeon processor, how did the AMD64 got into picture?
So how to correctly identify which version of SAP software to download?
Please advise - I am novice regarding OS and related issues...

Autorisations : how to live with 0BI_ALL and other analysis object ?

Hello
we have an annoying question.
We went live with 0bi_all in all profiles. Now we are in a production phase where our new users have restrictions (for example 0COST_ELMNT in the finance area).
What should we do ?
- suppress 0BI_ALL and add our new object
- cumulate 0BI_ALL and our new object
Does anyone know how this work ?
We haven't been able to find the right documentation.

To answer your question, you will need to suppress 0BI_ALL and add the new object.
It works as follows:
For the same infoobject, the authorisations are considered a union. But for the whole of the authorisation, it's an intersection.
an example to make more sense of this:
AUTH1:
- 0COST_ELEMT = 123456
- 0TCAIPROV = * (always need this one)
- 0TCAACTVT = 03 (always need this one)
- 0TCAVALID = * (always need this one)
AUTH2:
- 0COST_ELEMT = *
- 0TCAIPROV = CUBE1
- 0TCAACTVT = 03
- 0TCAVALID = *
You run a query on CUBE1 -> you will have access for all cost elements.
You run a query on CUBE2 -> you will only have access to cost element 123456.
Because 0BI_ALL has * for all infoobjects it will always overrule any other authorisations you assign.
Important note: if you are goning to set up your authorisation for 0COST_ELMNT to be valid for all infocubes, you will also need to add all authorisation-relevant infoobjects in your authorisation definition.
Best way to get the hang of it is to play around with it. In transaction RSECADMIN, you now have a very useful option "Execute as", which allows you to run queries as a testuser and gives you a log of all authorisations checked.

Command Line Tools installs the latest version of clang (and others) in /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/... but not in /usr/bin/

I've upgraded Xcode to the latest 5.1 Installed Command Line Tools via xcode-select --install Homebrew tells me "A newer Command Line Tools release is available"

Checking my clang executable:

So it appears Command Line Tools didn't install clang (and perhaps other executables) into /usr/bin? I checked my other laptop (w/ Mavericks), and /usr/bin/clang is version 5.1.
So I'm guessing this is the problem? I've tried to reinstall Command Line Tools as sudo, but now it won't let me install again (says software isn't currently available).
Can anyone help me with this? I've spent hours on it now, but can't find a solution.

Using data from a table in an external sheet can be done but is tricky. I would like to find rules supporting this feature. Also, I'd like to find discussions of other little known features to improve and add sophistication to custom spreadsheets

Unicode error:a line of internal table and a data object are not mutually c

    This is the issue in upgradation from 4.6c to ECC6.0
    I have an internal table itab which has include structure say 'xyz' . In xyz there is a field of type int4 as third field. I have a field as l_line which is a string.
data : begin of itab occurs 0.
         include structure zxyz.
data: end of itab.
data: l_line type string.
In the program I am getting the unicode error as:
" A line of "itab" and "l_line" are not mutually convertible in unicode program." at he following line.
loop at itab into l_line.
endloop.

I did the same earlier, but the field l_line is again used in the another line as follows
IF l_line CS w_group.----

where     w_group         LIKE zstr-cctr_group.
here zstr-cctr_group is same as one of the fields of structure xyz.
in line 1 it is giving warning as
l_line is incompatible and it must be C,N,D,T or string.

The 'Add to Basket' button on Amazon is not visible. Occurs with earlier versions of Firefox and other websites.

On many websites, buttons are not visible but moving the cursor over them it changes to a hand so I know there is a button and the tooltip appears.
If I look at page info for the button it is shown as a transparent-pixel.

I have reset to Firefox defaults and problem has been fixed. Options>content>colours>allow pages to choose colours : if deselected, problem occurs, if selected it is fixed.

Moving Tablespaces and other data-Objects to another HD

Hi,
XE is running on Win XP Pro SP2 here. It installs the datafiles on C:\ too. That's no proper solution because system loss could cause data loss in a bad crash.
Otherwise in managed enviroments often the sytemdrive will be autmatically cleaned for new desktop solutions.
Is there some experience about moving the tablespaces /moving the datafiles to another HD/Partition?
Doing this on 10g with EMGC is an easy job.
But how does this work on XE?

You can not move tablespaces. They are logical units that do not have a location. The required space allocation for a tabelespace is through one or more datafiles.
There is no problem moving data files to another drive. Effectively you
1) shutdown the database
2) copy the data file to the new location
3) Update (not edit) the control files to point to the new data file.
Step 3 is done by bringing up the database into 'control files are available and read into memory, but data files are not available' (the 'Mount' state) and issuing the ALTER DATABASE RENAME FILE ... command.

How to copy cubes and other objects?

Hello All,
I have implemented APO -Demand Planning Project for one hub Europe in our BW system.NOw we want to roll out the implementation globally and want to copy all the BI objects for seven hubs only changing the field of hub whereever we are using it in routines.
One way of copying all the objects is XML export and import.But for that purpsoe i have to change the XML file maually.We have four cubes , ten ODSs and number of reports and lots of user exit code.Data in ODSs are coming from flat files and it is further updating Cubes.
Anybody knows here any other way to copy the cubes and ODSs and other related objects such as infosources and infopackages etc.

You need to change the format
double tap on the work and then you can select how much you want to copy, to paste just long press on any empty space > paste

i have two database tables A & B ,
i need 2 columns from each table . say (A.product_no ,A.product_name,B.prodeuct_price ,B.confirm)
here product_no is primary key and present in both tables.
i need to create a VO combining these two tables and put it as ADF table in a jspx page
Functionality :
my 'confirm' field is a checkbox field in table . whenever the checkbox is selected,
the corresponding price will be getting added and display it in a textbox.
Eg:
if my first 4 price values are 3000 , 2000 ,4000,2000
and if i select first 3 values , then the text box should contain 9000 value.
