Very long recording

The box began a scheduled recording at 19.00 on Friday.
Around 21.00 Saturday I noticed that it was in record (although nothing was scheduled).
I tried to <Stop Recording> but nothing happened. Incidentally the programme duration showed as 1 day, 2 hours 10 minutes - rather long for a 60 minute show.
The only way to stop it was several re-boot attempts.
Then the programme duration showed as 1 Hour 7 minutes, which was correct.
Unbelievably I didn't get the standard "Playing on another box" error and was able to delete the programme, although, of course, this was after the re-boot that stopped the recording.
All connectivity good when checked and *plenty* of disk space, so the 26 hour recording wasn't real!
I don't know if this is connected with the "Playing" problem - any news on that yet?

We're chasing this up to see what took place there, has it happened since?

I got a new laptop (Macbook Pro) and my IPhone is synced with my previous laptop (which I no longer have). I've recorded dozens of very long (un-emailable) Voice Memos over the last few weeks and need to get them from my IPhone onto my new laptop.
    How do I do this?
(when I click on the Sync option I get the warning: "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on the iPhone will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library." I fear that if I click this I will lose all of my important Voice Memos as well)

Just to add to what ChrisJ4203 said.  You can sync them to your new computer using iTunes by selecting to Include Voice Memos on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.  However, you still need to re-establish syncing with the new computer without iTunes erasing all the iTunes media from your phone (as the warning mentioned).
If you copy your entire iTunes folder (not just your music) from your old computer to your new one, along with other non-iTunes media you may be syncing with iTunes (such as contacts, calendars and any photos synced to your phone from your old computer) by using migration assistant of following one of these methods: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527, then when you sync again with your new computer it will recognize your phone and sync as it did before.  You will still have to authorize the new computer for any Apple IDs used to purchase from the iTunes and App stores (in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer).
After that you can sync your voice memos to your computer as mentioned earlier.
If you want to archive your voice memos before you do anything with iTunes, you can use a 3rd party program such as PhoneView or Touch Copy.

Why is it that it would take a very long time [if ever] to change or adjust the tempo of a loop in the audio track when i set it to adjust regions to locators? Until now the spinning wheel of death is still very much spinning. thanks for any help.
Is there another way to adjust tempo of loops the faster way, any other technique?

No clue why the final processes have suddenly started to take so long. Two things I'd try: a) capture from an older tape to see if some problem with the new tape is at fault.  And b) check the health of your RAM and the hard drive.
The red frame sounds a bit like a glitch we used to have in OnLocation (actually in its predecessor HDV Rack) which was caused by a partial GOP. But that was a product of HDV Rack recording from the live video stream. It turned out that HDV cameras intentionally interrupt the data stream for an instant upon starting to record--specifically to avoid recording a partial GOP to tape. So my gut says that the tape has partial GOPs at the points where you stopped/started recording.

  • Warning this is very long code but i need help to see if I am on right trac

I have done all the following code myself and it is the buisiness layer for my application. I have tried to follow recommendations on previous posts and I would like to be told where I can clean up my code and how? This is not complete and it looks very long to me but I need help in order to be better. There are 4 button vlivks and I have not completed them all. The criteria for application is that phonebook will accept new entries if they have names surnames and phone numbers that are not longer than 10 characters for display purposes but can change this. No duplicates are allowed. No editing of a existing entry must lead to a duplicate entry either. No new entry or edit may result in a new contact having no phone numbers.
Many thanks for your time in advance,.....

  • Very long time for 0EC_PCA_3 ectractor

    Hello,
We have a problem with 0EC_PCA_3 extractor in delta mode. It takes very long time (4 hours) for a very few records. Is it normal .? How to optimize this ?
Thank you in advance forr your help.
    Best regards
    Nicolas

    Dear Nicolas,
Iu2019m going try to help you regarding your question,
I have searched in help sap, some feature about how get better performance:
    I found the following information:
To optimize the performance of data procurement when DataSource 0EC_PCA_3 accesses line item table GLPCA in the OLTP, you should set up an additional secondary index. This should contain the following fields:
    1.     u2022         RCLNT
    2.     u2022         CPUDT
    3.     u2022         CPUTM
For R/3 Releases 4.0B and 4.5B, you have to install note 580273.

  • APS Collections Refresh Snapshot Thread running for very long

    Hi,
Program "APS Collections Refresh Snapshot Thread" for "BOM_INV_COMPS_SN" snapshot is running for very long time.
    Can we cancel it?
It's running in FAST refresh mode.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Count the records in the mlog tables of these MVs. If the record count is more than do a complete refresh.
    Thanks,

  • Query running for a very long time

Hi I have a sales Query which is running for a very long time,
It is built on a multiprovider. The multiprovider gets feed from cube and DSO.
It is taking very long time to run.
I need to do some performance tuning can you please suggest.

    Hi Ravi,
First maitain BW statistics for that query and after that go to se11 and give table RSDDSTAT. just check how many records selected in data base and how many records transferred.
according to this statistics create aggregates by giving propose aggregates by using statistics tables. after running a query check in RSRT whether the data is coming from aggregates or not.
do not exclude any selections try to include in query restrictions.
    try to create secondary indexes.
    let us know the result.

  • Inventory aged reports are taking a very long time to run

We are using Standard delievered extractors for Inventory.  We have build an Aged report and it is taking a very long time to run as more an more data is added.  We put the inventory in buckets 0-30, 31-60, .... >365 days.  We are aging based on a batch date the user enters.  the problem is it has to go through every record to recalculate because they are non cumulative.
any ideas/suggestions on how to make this more efficient?  New design?

    Hi MM,
We can use snapshot of monthly data from Query and store it in DSO at month level.
We had used APD on Query and then Stored them in DSO1(WO)->DSO2(STD)->Cube->report based on Snap Shot.
From the New Query , calculate the Age.

  • 0HR_PT_3 init is taking a very long time.

    Hi Friends,
I am trying to extract HR Data (Quotas) to BW, i did Initialization and its been running for a very long time but no records are getting transfered.  Is there any config, setting which i should do before i do Init for this Datasource?. or is there any OSS note which i should refer before this?.
Please let me know. your help is appreciated.
    Than ks in adv.
    BN

    Hi BN,
We have done the setting on the R/3 for time frame for 01.01.2010 to 01.01.2012 and then i did my init in the background and expecting it to take some time. The Init Load is succesfully completed with 60k records to PSA for those 2 years but it took 16 long hours, business wants the data for the last four years, does that mean it takes even longer to load the data?.
Loading time depends on how much data you have. If you have data between 2008 and 2010(in your case) it takes more time, if you have less time it will get complete in less time.
All this is in Dev system hence we will have smaller volumes of data. I am wondering how much more time will it take in Production.
This is for sure, you will have much data in your production system. to plan this you can for full repair loads.
    i) first do init with out data transfer, this sets the daily delta.
ii) load your historical data based on calender year.( Try to load 6 months data in one load)
Another question is that if I want to extract records which falls outside the Time Frame config, how can i extract those records to BW?. one of the OSS note Says that ONLY those records will be extracted to BW which fall in this time frame.
If you want entire data then no need to give the selections while loading.
Lets consider the below example which may suits in your case.
I think you have already loaded data from 2010 to 2012 and now you want to load the data which is there with time stamp below than 2010. Then follow the below steps.
fill the setup tables for all the data.(With out any selections)
In RSA3 check you have data or not for specified period.
If you have data in RSA3, then you can load it using full repair IP.
Say if you want to load which falls before 12.31.2007, then give the selections in IP as From: 01.01.1990 and to : 12.31.2007.(In IP selections below you will find "use conversion routine". use this option it will pick in right format.

  • Init load very long runtime 0CRM_COMPLAINTS SALES Analyses

    Hi,
We have launched a init load (infopackage 0CRM_COMPLAINTS)(BI 7.0) which extract 180201 claims from our CRM 2007 system.
The first packet (data package size 5000 records) have been extracted in 5minutes, but when it begins the 10 packets, it last 20min and 30 between each of them.
This treatment lasted 12 hours (we don't see optimization point at the moment)
The first thought is to decrease packet size but I don't find specific note about this problem, or any lead.
    Any help will be grateful.
    Chris

    HI
you check the SAP Note 692195 - Question 1 ( shown below )
Question 1 : The Extraction from CRM to BW takes a very long time. What can be done? (Performance Issues)
Suggestion 1: Please implement notes  653645 (Collective note) and 639072(Parallel  Processing).
The performance could be slow because of the wrong control parameters used for packaging.
You can change the package size for the data extraction.
Also note that changing the package size in the transaction SBIW would imply a change for all the extractors. Instead, you could follow the path in the bw system.
Infopackage (scheduler)    > Menu 'Scheduler'   > 'DataS. default data transfer'   > maintain the value as 1500 or 1000(This value is variable)
The package size depends on the Resources available at the customer side (The no of parallel processes that could be assigned = 1.5 times the no of CPU's available approx.)

  • Software instrument play too short notes (in place of very long one)

I've enter with my midi keyboard a french horn section in very long notes.
When I record I heard those long note, in the midi track I can see then, but
when I playback I can't hear them longer that a "fraction of second".
I've try to close and reopen GarageBand, but no use.
I've input with that keyboard corectly a trombone part few hours ago.

    UpDate,
I just record in an other file, software tenor sax, it work properly.
So I retry in this file with orchestra French Horn, it work.
So I retry in the file that was causing me problem. Still don't work.
I would think that maybe it is because it is a file crated with GB 2, but
the other file where it work was to created with GB 2, so probably not the cause.
The only other midi track in the file is a custom click track. But it is present in the
2 files, with the same note that does not duplicate with the horn.

  • Load taking very long

I got a load that is taking very long. Its still active and running. 22 hours so far..last time too only 2 hours.
In the header tab job monitor: it says it processing from PSA to datatargets...
    any ideas please ?

    Hi,
Just check the backround job status in SM37.Next option copmare the number of records which are loaded by now in R/3 if the number of records are matching, then try to make the status technically green and check the data.
see the time out time in infopackage.
    Hope this helps

  • ODI Planning metadata load takes very long time

    Hi,
I am using ODI for Hyperion Planning metadata load.
We are facing performance issues, as the process is taking a very long time.
The process uses "LKM File to SQL" and "IKM SQL to Hyperion Planning"
The number of rows to process in the file is around 70000. The file is generated from DRM. The ODI integration process takes around 2 hours to process and load the file to Planning. Even if we add 1 new row to the file and everything else remains same in the file, the process takes that long.
So, the whole process takes around 3 hours to load to Planning for all dimensions.
I tried increasing the fetch rows to 200 in source but there is no significant increase in performance. The Heap size is set to maximum of 285 MB in odiparams.bat.
How can the performance be improved?
Can I use different LKM or change any other setting?
    Thanks,
    RS

    Hi John,
In my current implementation, the dimension hierarchies are maintained in DRM.
So, business directly makes changes in DRM and exports the hierarchies in a text file.
I agree that loading 70000 records is odd on regular basis, but it makes it easier for business to retain control of their hierarchies and maintainance is easy in DRM.
On bulk loading to DB table and loading to Planning, I have 2 questions:
    1. Do you think that "LKM SQL to SQL" [Oracle to Planning] will have significant improvement in performance over "LKM File to SQL" [File to Planning], as we are still using "Sunopsis Memory engine" as staging area?
    2. I checked your blog, there you have suggested using "Sunopsis memory engine" for "LKM SQL to SQL".
Is it mandatory to use "Sunopsis emory engine" as staging area, can we use any other user defined staging area [Oracle tables]?
    Cheers,
    RS

  • Ff6 beta is taking a very long time or not loading at all sites from links or bookmarksmarks

firefox 6 beta auto updated now when I click on links or book marks site either take a very long time to load or do not load at all. When I tried to log into my back acct. it never loaded.

  • IMovie taking a very long time to process anything, even open

I have 2.66ghz MacBook Pro 4GB of RAM. I figured this computer should have no problem processing and opening programs. However, when I open iMovie, it hangs for a very long time, sometimes 5 minutes. At first I thought it was just crashing but I let it go for a while and it eventually started working.
Anyone else having this issue? Is this program really so demanding that a $3000 laptop struggles to open it? Is there any fix to this?
