this is to create new entries into database ,
and my scenerio iso now i need to populate the values that i stored into database thro EJBS in a drop down box of wd application.

AFAIK, there is no direct approach to populate a JTree directly from a resultset. However, JTree can use a DOM tree as its model by using the adapter pattern. The procedure to do this is well-documented in the SUN website and the link is provided below. The code to convert a resultset to XML is provided below:

How to put data from database into array

I need to answer hot to put data from database directly into array.
I tried like the code below but the error message said: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0, and it points to this line: numbers [row][0]= rs.getString("ID");
Hope you can help.

The exception is been thrown simply because you assigned '0' to the 'row' variable, indicating a zero length of the array. In fact you should assign the row count to it.
After all, don't do that. Make use of the Collection framework and map the ResultSet to a Collection of DTO's.

How to Retrieve data from database into another form ?

Good Day!
Am currently new at JSP. I've been studying it for awhile and still getting the hang of it. We are working on a project.
Editing a given data. We have to retrieve the given data and post it to another form "Editing form".
Since we can retrieve data using JSP but how are we going to post it to another form? I mean how are we going to transfer data from one form to another?
Can anyone help me with codes please..

The client is a web browser.
The client submits a request (click a link, visit a form)
The server gets to respond to this
- look at request parameters from the client
- access database
- produce resulting html page
- send page back to client.
The standard pattern is to retrieve data from the database in java code, and then load that data into a bean.
You then make that bean available as an attribute
It is then available for use in your JSP - either <jsp:useBean> tag or using ${ELexpressions}
All you can pass from the client to the server is request parameters - which are always strings.
Draw a picture of where the information is, and the information flows. Very rarely does it go directly from one "form" to another.

Retrieving data from database into tabular layout item

Hi..
If the number of product_id is 1; I can retrieve data from the database into tabular layout item.However, if the number of product_id is more than 1 error message is shown.
Here is my code:
select product_id
into : PRODUCTS. ID --Tabular layout item

Any suggestions????

It's simpler to do so:
insert that code in a post-query trigger at block level (block where is multi-item)
You will see after execute-query, your item will be populated.

Displaying data from database into mxList

Hello Flex Developers!
I am getting back an Array Collection with Objects inside from the database. I would like to display this in the mxml portion of my application using the mx:List control. When I put in something like:
<mx:List id="myId" dataprovider="{acFromDatabase}"></mx:List>, wrapped in a Canvas, inside of a tab navigator, I am getting back the array of objects and displayed something like this: object Object. How can I go into this object and display it within the List control? The object has values like name, date, title, etc?

you can make use of an itemRenderer and include what all controls you require in your itemrenderer for display.

URGENT: Requery data from database is not working...

Using ADF 11.1.2.1.0
when i commit page
In the database I have a trigger that modify the column values.
These new values aren't returned.
In backing bean action method, after execute commit method:
I try executeQuery = data isn´t update
I try also executeQuery then clear cache from entity = data isn´t update
I try also InvalidateCache from DCIteratorBinding then executeQuery = data isn´t update
I try Rollback = data isn´t update
After page is rendered with wrong data.. if
execute rollback = data is update
clearCache from entity = data is update
executeQuery = data insn´t update
invalidateCache from DCIteratorBinding = data isn´t update
how can i get the modified values, this ADF work crazy ?

I override isUseReturningClause and test application again:
after commit page:
All InputText, OutputText inside table = show updated data
All inputListOfValues = dont update date.
I convert inputListOfValues into outputText (same value attribute) = show updated data.
now problem seem to be in LOV?

Jtree examples of populating data from database

I have searched many of the solutions here, but the threads that contain examples of jtree loading from an sql database are not available. Does anyone have a good example of populating a jTree from the database?

Problem while populating data from database dynamically.

I am having two combo box
First one displays list of table Names
Second one displays list of the corresponding field Names.
Now when the user selects the table name the corresponding field names appear in the second combo box & now when the user selects the field name then the requirement is to get the data of the corressponding field of the table on the screen on the button click.
I want to do this thing dynamically through coding.
My requirement is only the data of those columns that have been queried should appear on the screen whereas other column data should not appear.
Can any body help me out.

I'm not sure if you want to populate the combobox dynamically based on any selected data source.
If so it is kind of tricky, but do-able. You need to write little bit of coding yourself.
First you need to get the Database metadata. For details see

where you can get the table names.
Then using the result set metadata of the selected table you can get the column information. For details see
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/sql/ResultSetMetaData.html
If you want to display the data of selected table and column value (statically filled combo box), then it is easy.
you can create your own SQL statement based on the selected tabe and column and set it to the rowset dynamically in the code (may be in the method beforerenderresponse).

How to download Data from Database directly into excel

I have a requirement to download very large quantity of data from database into Excel file.
But condition is excel file should have only 65,536 rows in a single spread sheet(that's the limit i suppose),if i have more data points(rows) than it should be stored into different spreadsheet.......this continues so there can be many spread sheets in a single excel file.
Data size can be 1 GB or more.
Also specific naming conventions need to be followed for giving name to excel as well as different spread sheets in it.
Please see if someone could help me out.

This is be done as part of a web application which is to be made (so can't open the excel first)

How to populate Adobe LiveCycle Designer generated PDF Forms with data from Database in Windows app

I have a PDF template designed in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. This template has form fields which needs to be filled with data programmatically. I am using windows application in C#.Net 2005 in which I want to retrieve data from database and merge this data into PDF form in respective fields.
How this can be achieved?
I searched a lot & I found that we can process the XDP file generated from PDF to acheive this. I created the XDP file out of the PDF template created in designer. But I don't know how to merge data from database into that XDP file in respective fields and again convert this XDP file back to PDF programmatically. Can anybody help me ? This is urgent.

Upload data from excel into database through pl/sql

I have one upload button ,which is used to upload excel and then i want to map the cell of excel to the database column and through plsql code i want to upload the excel data into database.

i have created UDO i have also done registration i want to bind item master completely to matrix and then in one column i will set check box to check unchecked and then i want to save it to database
i have one user defined form and 4 matrix and 4 child tables
for each matrix i have given 1 form and i have to transfer the data from temp form to main form matrix having large data in matrix on temp form to main form matrix
to load data on matrix i have used for loop that i want to avoid so how i can bind large data to matrix without for loop

SharePoint List to Telerik Grid, Where data is not coming from database into List.
Here, i have a SharePoint list , where configurable text are stored, using some utility.
I want to convert that SharePoint list into Telerik grid, with all Editable Option which i have in SharePoint.

I know little about Telerik Grid, only find following article about Telerik integrate with SharePoint:
